Barbara Gourdain at Extraordinary Weddings did a wonderful job in making our wedding a perfect day and weekend. From our very first Skype call she was interested and invested in getting to know us, our style, our taste, and our vision for the wedding.
We love the food, wine, landscape, and rustic feeling of Piemonte. She found various options for venues in the Langhe area, including our final choice, Villa Tibodi - which was the perfect place for us. Villa Tiboldi has the perfect combination of an elegant and rustic atmosphere. We would never have found this venue - or the photographer, stylists, florist, etc. - by ourselves. Barbara's local expertise made our wedding feel authentic Italian, yet still like ?us?. Barbara had various tips and suggestions during the planning stage - and she has a keen eye for the small details. She always followed up and made us feel very comfortable and assured that the wedding was going to be a great day and weekend. Furthermore, Barbara was incredibly thorough in finding the best solutions and suppliers based on our budget.
We had a busy work schedule prior to the wedding, but with Barbara's help, the planning went smoothly and stress free. Yet, the guests commented that the wedding felt so tailored to who we are as a couple, that they thought we had done it all ourselves.

With Barbara Gourdain our wedding became fabulous, attractive and unique! She is wonderful person and great Wedding Planner! From our first met I understood that she is the one, who can make our dreams come true. Barbara can listen and she honestly involved in your vision about wedding. She immediately understood what we expected from our day: simple and chic, black and white and modern. From the beginning to the end she followed our requests, wishes and keep always in touch with us. With her you can expect only the best and proven suggestions about florist, makeup artist, photographer, places, etc. Besides her creativity Barbara is highly responsible person. The time planning at the wedding day was perfect! The wedding was stunning and we have not enough words to say how grateful we are for her hard and splendid work! I cannot recommend Extraordinary Weddings enough to anyone considering getting married in Italy. When we first decided to get married abroad and set our sights on a wedding by one of the Italian lakes, we were nervous about finding someone that we could trust to make our dream a reality. Barbara made it happen! She is a true professional who went above and beyond to make our day, and the run up to it, as special and stress free as possible.
She was always quick in responding to emails and was incredibly thorough in finding the best suppliers based on our budget. She was amazing at negotiating on our behalf and was on top of every detail which was so important to me because you can feel a bit powerless sometimes when you decide to get married abroad!
She was a true ally and friend throughout the process. Everyone at the wedding commented that we couldn't have had a better planner!

Barbara Gourdain is the most amazing wedding planner and a wonderful person. You will love her! She is also an outstanding professional. Her knowledge about the area, suppliers, vendors etc. is all you need for the wedding of your dreams! Also, she will listen to your special requests, wishes and hopes, and turn them to reality. She is never longer than a phone call, email or message away. And on the day all you need to do is take a step back, relax, and enjoy the most wonderful day of your life! I would recommend anyone looking to have a wedding in northern italy to contact Barbara - dont wait or she will be fully booked!

Barbara helped make our dream wedding a reality. Living in the UK, but wanting to get married in Italy, we could never have organised our perfect day in the way she helped us to. Her attention to detail was outstanding & her recommendations/connections meant that we had only but the very best at our wedding; from the venue, to the flowers, to the celebrity make-up artist and all the little touches she personally suggested which just made our wedding so unique and special.
Most married couples when they get married will tell you how stressful planning the wedding was....but Matt & I truly had none of this and all thanks to Barbara's experience, sense of humour & fastidious organisation that ensured we truly had the best day of our lives.

We used Extraordinary Weddings Italy to help put together our beautiful wedding in La Morra, Piemonte. It was a special place for us - having visited there previously - we always knew we wanted to be married there. It was a difficult time of year, and because we were Australians, there was a lot of procedures and paperwork to be mindful of. Working with Barbara made this so incredibly painless and simple. It was almost as if most of the wedding was taken care of. Someone was always within Skype, phone or text. She's incredibly pro-active and professional. She can work to any budget and can really help make the most memorable day. To anyone who is looking for some help in organising their wedding in Italy - we do highly encourage you to whip a quick email to Barbara...you'll understand what we mean!

We really appreciated all her effort to make sure that everything ran so smoothly and efficiently to make our wedding day an enjoyable and memorable occasion.
It would take all day to write about what we loved about it, but believe me.... we loved all the details that she managed to cover...down to the candles and flowers and, in particular, the relaxed and magical atmosphere.The food was excellent and a spectacular, the presentation made it even more superb. The tables looked so beautiful and we received such praise for all the fantastic food and wine, we selected a wonderful menu.People are still complimenting and chatting about our amazing wedding day!

From the very beginning of our dialogue with Barbara at Extraordinary Weddings, we were 100% confident that our wedding day would be perfect. She followed up quickly and thoroughly through all the planning, and with her local expertise she was recommending local suppliers that we would never manage to find ourselves. The planning went smoothly and stress free, so did the wedding day.
The venue for our ceremony and wedding lunch, Cordero di Montezemolo, was amazing! The breath taking view, the flowers, our celebrant Cynthia, the tour in the wine cellar, the wine, the lunch, the atmosphere.. Everything put together by Barbara. Looking back, it all feels like a fairy tale - we couldn't wish for anything more.
