The Italian Wedding Band was one of the best wedding decisions we made for our intimate wedding in Cinque Terre, Italy! Their energy is contagious and they had all of the people in the small village where we married and our guests moving and dancing the whole time they played. They were so much fun with their surprises throughout our special day. They learned special songs for our dances and they did a great job with their own Italian twist! Although we had a small wedding, the Italian Wedding Band made it so we had a huge party! We truly had THE BEST experience with the Italian Wedding Band! They absolutely made our night the most special! We had a wedding in the Dolomites region of Italy (quite far from Rome), and they traveled a long way to play for our wedding night. Our evening was quite laid back, with no set agenda. The band was super easygoing, yet so professional: they knew exactly what to play and when to play it without us telling them anything! They started with a little preview during the sit down dinner portion (I still play the videos on repeat and cry happy tears), they promptly played a "cake song" when we cut the cake without us asking, and at the end of the night, after an amazingly fun set, our friends sort of took over karaoke-style to play with the band, and the band was totally cool with it/into it! They also learned several new songs just for us because they were meaningful to us. The Italian Wedding Band really just made our night superb, super fun, and unforgettable. Thank you guys SO MUCH! We got married in Italy at the beginning of July and had the pleasure of having The Italian Wedding Band as our band for the day. Being from another country, I was apprehensive about choosing people to help us with our big day. I am so glad we came across these amazing gentlemen who were highly recommended on some wedding websites. A band is what often makes or breaks a wedding and they certainly helped to make ours. From the ceremony music right up until the dj at the end, they were perfect. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding band in Italy. You won't regret it. MARINO AND HIS BAND ARE THE BEST!!! From the very first email with Marino, it was nothing but professionalism. Wedding planning can be very stressful and Marino and his band were absolutely the least of our worries throughout the entire process! They were a dream come true. They were so sweet and played absolutely beautifully during our ceremony and reception! We were so happy they were there and our guests absolutely adored them! They were so cool and easy going. They played from the heart! We asked them for some last minute song requests for the father daughter dance and they said, no problem, and played it perfectly!! They are so talented and you can tell they LOVE what they do. Even with an extreme heatwave during our outdoor daytime wedding, these guys played like CHAMPIONS! The Italian wedding band was everything I wished for and more. They are all talented musicians and a good looking band. They played all of the songs that I asked for which I greatly appreciated. I loved the steel guitar, it was perfect for the ceremony. Marino was easy to communicate with before the wedding. Unfortunately, I was late for the ceremony but the band entertained our waiting guests with beautiful music. We got a lot of positive feedback from the guests about the music and how talented The Italian Wedding Band was. We are so happy that we choose The Italian wedding band for our wedding!

The Italian Wedding Band are INCREDIBLE. They were such an incredible highlight of our wedding day, playing beautiful music through our ceremony, learning new songs to accompany my maid of honour and myself singing at various times during the day, and put on the most incredible performance for our party! I do not give out five stars lightly. Marino's band saved my wedding. Due to rain and poor planning, the proceedings were suspended and his group sprung into action; turning our venue into a house party/karaoke party that had all my guests glowing. As Marino put it, "Jack, don't worry about things, we show up at 4am, we'll leave at 2am. What happens between that time is up to you." I say all these great things about his flexibility, without yet mentioning the quality of the music. It's amazing. Both in terms of his band learning several songs for the ceremony and reception, improvising with my friends who jumped on the mic, catering to both the musical needs of my Italian friends and my American friends, and providing a DJ who can do live mixes based on the crowds interests. We were a small bit apprehensive of the music at our wedding. As all Irish people know, the band is a huge part of any Irish wedding, albeit it was in Italy. We need not of feared, the music for the whole day was done by the Italian band and people are still talking about the quality of it. I had been in contact with Marino several times about the ceremony music. Every time he was so quick to reply and I loved the music in the church. I had two of my cousins singing also and they did a run though before. The church music was exceptional. My husband is called Daniel and they did a gorgeous rendition of Danny boy After the church, they played great music down at the reception. They played us into the reception and everyone was on their feet, clapping and dancing. The dancing was fantastic, the dance floor was packed for the night. The d.j. after was very good too but no body wanted the band to stop. They played some Irish classics like "Dirty Old Town". A month on and people are still talking about them. People who never dance were on the floor for the night. I would recommend the Italian Band to anyone who is getting married, they added so much to the atmosphere and the day would not have been the same without them. Not only were the band great on the night but Marino was so informative and a great communicator on the run up to the wedding. I am sure he thought I was confusing him with the wedding planner at times!! LOL! Definitely recommend. Lovely bunch of guys and very entertaining.

The Italian Wedding Band played at our wedding in Sorrento on the 5th July. Based on the reviews we read of them, we knew they wouldn't dissapoint, but they blew us away!! We booked them for our reception and the dj! Just as we were finishing dinner, the band came in to the room and played a song - this was so unexpected and got all of our guests excited for the rest of the evening! We first saw Marino and his band play at a wedding in Rome. It was an Irish wedding and they were fantastic. I being Irish married my Italian wife in Bologna on the 9th of June. We looked for a band to locally but could not find one that would bring the same energy we experienced in Rome back in 2011. I contacted Marino ( The Italian wedding band) the were flexible and open to negotiation. They came to Bologna and the Irish Italian wedding was a great success with many compliments from the guests about the band. Typically in Italy bands play slow relaxing music at weddings. This does not appeal to the Irish guests who want to dance late into the night and Marino and band understand this. We strongly recommend this band for a great nights entertainment with all the Italian and some typical Irish wedding classics for a great night of energy.

What can we say?! We were worried about picking a band as our wedding was an intimate group of family only...Marino and they guys definitely exceeded all of our expectations..despite it being a small group everyone was dancing, there was such an amazing atmosphere...it really made the whole day for us. The best wedding band! So helpful and communicative beforehand. Very professional and set up everything themselves. Marino was happy to liaise with our venue beforehand to ensure they could set up with no problem on the day. The music was phenomenal. Marino and his guys did a great job for our wedding! Very professional, responsive and flexible, it was a great pleasure to organise the event with them. Since the day we booked them we were sure that there is one thing we can stop worrying about - music! And our feeling was good: the band did such a good job playing at our ceremony, during aperitivo and finally party. Everyone was dancing, from young to old, 13 different nationalities, even people we would have never guessed that like to dance! A jazzy swingy mood was added to our entire day.

The Italian Wedding Band played at my sister's wedding in Gaiole in Chianti and it was nothing short of magical mixed in with a lot of fun. From the music at the ceremony, to the cocktail reception, to a special serenade at dinner, live performance after dinner and late night dancing in the wine cellar, this band provided an evening of amazing entertainment. I might be slightly biased since it was my sister's wedding, however, I must say this was the best band I ever heard at a wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better band to play at our wedding! Planning a wedding for 70 people in Italy coming from all parts of the US was no easy task, however when it came to working with The Italian Wedding Band, it was the easiest part of the entire weekend! They were very responsive, detailed and were open to all suggestions. They were incredibly versatile with their music selection and had something for all wedding guests to dance to ages 20-80. I myself am not a big dancer, and the band had everyone up and dancing, including my 84 year old grandfather. The most memorable part of my wedding had to be walking down the aisle to one of my favorite songs I've loved ever since I was young. When I asked The Italian Wedding Band to play this song at my ceremony that they didn't know, they quickly took it upon themselves to learn this song, and hearing them play it on my wedding day was one of those moments you want to bottle up and remember forever. I highly, highly recommend The Italian Wedding Band. They were the perfect band to compliment my destination wedding.

We had our wedding in August 2017, in Tuscany and I discovered The Italian Wedding Band several months before. From the instant I reached out to Marino he was super friendly, helpful and responsive right up to the wedding day. My husband and I listened to all the music on their website so it was really straightforward to work out what we wanted and they were happy to accommodate a few special requests too. We decided to involve them for our ceremony, during cocktails as well as post reception party. All our guests loved them, we had a blast and we didn't want the music to stop! So, highly recommend if you want a fun and entertaining band for your big day!

Marino and his band put on a fantastic show at our wedding in Borgo Colognola in Umbria in July. They were the icing on the cake of what was a fantastic day (btw - we can't recommend Francesca and her team at Borgo Colognola more highly either). We and our guests loved Marino's swinging style, especially their little 'surprise' (as I'm sure this is a feature of their set, I won't spoil it for anyone thinking of booking them!). The Italian Wedding Band performed at our wedding in Hotel Quirinale in Rome on 7th July 2017. We had around 45 guests (mostly from Ireland) and everyone enjoyed the music! They were simply fantastic, they had everyone up on their feet dancing away all night. The band played a variety of songs suitable for all ages. They were very professional and made everyone feel very welcome. The music was brilliant and if there was a song everyone was enjoying they would make it last longer which added to the fun factor. They also added special touches regarding the reception and singing when the cake came in, which was brilliant! My husband and I held a wedding reception in June of 2017 at an old house in a remote area near Prodo, Italy. Being a professional musician myself, I insisted of having live authentic music. On the other hand, we had a list of American and International songs we wanted, so we also needed a DJ. After seeing theitalianweddingband.com web site, we met with Marino Marolini in Rome and he gave us an amazing deal on a duo and DJ! When it was time to do the planning, I emailed the musicians and DJ directly with requests and song files and they got back to me in a timely fashion. The day of the reception, Alfie and Fabio, the musicians, and Paul the DJ found the remote location of the party and showed up on time. One of my guests Ralph Wilder, my former band leader and world class clarinet player brought his horn and the band happily played with him. I also performed with the band to appease my guests who were insistent on me singing. As for the DJ, he was very friendly, did exactly as we asked and helped me keep to the schedule quite well. Honestly, the musicians were as talented as any I have worked with Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco. We had a blast and WOW what an amazing singer! For me, having a walking accordion player brought a uniquely native feel to the entire event. Everyone was impressed with the entertainment. We all danced and had an unforgettable day. Just don't hesitate booking these boys, they were absolutely tremendous from start to finish! From the outset Marino quoted very quickly & included all accommodation & travel costs within his price. On the wedding night we were at least 2 hours late starting the party, not a mention from the band they just started when we were ready & they played a great set from midnight until 2.30am, judging the playlist brilliantly. Shouts of 'MORE' when they finished! Seriously, you won't be disappointed with these guys.

The Italian Wedding Band performed at our wedding on June 3, 2017 at Hotel Savoy. They got everyone to their feet and kept us dancing all evening! Marino was so responsive to all my emails (which I appreciated as we were planning the wedding from New York). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fantastic band to any couple planning their wedding in Italy!

The Italian Wedding Band were absolutely brilliant and I would highly recommend them! I researched lots of bands whilst planning my wedding and, although many of them were cheaper, I always kept coming back to The Italian Wedding Band as I loved their sound. I'm so so glad that I spent the extra money on this band as they really were worth it. I was filled with confidence from the word go as was able to listen to their songs and read great reviews. They responded quickly to my emails and offered lots of information of services and songs which I could adapt to our needs. They made a point of reassuring us that it was our wedding and nothing was too much trouble. On the evening of the wedding they provided music during the dinner which we hadn't asked for and surprised us by serenading me during the dinner which was such a magical touch. Amazing! The party went off with a bang as they had planned with my new husband for him to sing the first song to me. This went down brilliantly and my husband said they couldn't have been more accommodating. The whole night was so much fun as they played every song fantastically and really interacted with the guests (even allowing one guest to play the instruments!). The DJ then took over and really responded to the guests in the music which he played - the dance floor was never empty,everyone danced all night...even the band members! All of my guests still rave about this band as they were better then we could've hoped for.

The Italian wedding band where amazing, so easy to work with and so responsive planning a wedding in Rome from Ireland is very hard especially as our wedding had different ages of people ranging from 20-60 but these guys where amazing, The music was brilliant and they got the crowd going and really entertained all our guests, I would 100% recommend them and couldn't fault one things at all about them. We had a very small wedding with a total of just 28 guests, mixed ages and from different parts of the UK. We were unsure of music tastes and if anyone would dance etc. The Italian Wedding Band proved to be a fantastic choice and everyone including the priest were dancing, they just know what they are doing, leave it to them and you will not regret it.

The Italian Wedding Band were absolutely amazing! Our reception was at a remote villa near Empoli in August 2016 where we had 60 guests. We're a UK couple and we were really struggling to find a band who would be able to have fun and engage with our guests and be affordable! We found that the Italian Wedding Band had a great selection of british/american music and also played some beautiful Italian music. The band were quick to respond to our emails and as soon as we skyped Marino (the lead singer) we knew they were the band for us. All of our guests wouldn't leave the dance floor and are still complimenting the band. Every element from the Ibiza jazz to start to the bride's surprise were fantastic. The Italian Wedding Band provided excellent entertainment throughout our wedding day. They gave our ceremony atmosphere, set the tone during the aperitifs and got the crowd to their feet after dinner (which is an impressive task after an Italian meal!). They played for us all day; beautiful solos at the ceremony, great atmosphere for the reception drinks and then the saxophone led us in a procession to dinner. It was a risk for us with a smaller budget for our wedding to go with The Italian Wedding Band over the one-man-show alternative. However immediately we knew it had been more than worth the risk. Marino was a pleasure to deal with from the start, so if their website alone does not convince you, just contact him straight away. The band were willing to negotiate with us and in the end for the price what we received can only be described as exceptional value. The band played for the church ceremony, wine reception, the main reception and even surprised us with an added bonus. Marino himself went above and beyond the call of duty even helping us with preparing the software for our speech when the staff at the venue could not. Our wedding passed off better than we ever could have hoped and what is striking is that two weeks later the comments I keep receiving from our guests are 'that the band made it so special' and people are asking 'how did you find that band? Incredible!'. For anyone Irish or otherwise looking for something a little bit special go with The Italian Wedding Band, you won't regret it. We booked the Italian Wedding Band for our wedding last month (Oct 24th 2015) at the Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Rome. We wanted something really different for our day and with a half Italian / half English guest list - something that translated across both languages and tastes. We are a slightly older couple but really wanted a good party in the evening and a night that both ourselves and our wedding guests would never forget. I found Marino and his band on the internet and started communications 11 months before the wedding. I wanted to see them play prior to making the commitment to book however that did not work out as we have a small child and don't live in Rome - so I booked anyway. Lucky for us that we did! The Italian Wedding Band were fantastic! They really did an amazing job and our evening party was just so much fun - everyone was on the dance floor all night regardless of age and nationality! Every one of my guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been too and without a doubt Marino and his guys were a huge hand in this. I also had 2 of the guys play me down the aisle with a beautiful trumpet duo. Marino and 2 other gents played all the old Rat Pack stuff for us during the cocktail hour which was absolutely brilliant and the icing on a very lovely cake. Marino is very flexible to your requirements and will work with you to complete your vision for your day / night. If you are thinking of booking them for your once in a life time event - my advice to you would be to just do it - don't hesitate - you absolutely won't regret it. Just brilliant - they made our night - and they were the easiest wedding decision we made. Book them - you will be very GLAD you did.

The Italian Wedding band played at our wedding in Venice. They were superb our guests are still talking about how much fun they were and how much fun they had. The band were extremely accommodating and were responded to any queries we had. It can be very difficult to organise a wedding abroad but the Italian wedding band made it very easy. We were delighted to have them as part of our big day and would recommend them to anyone!!!

What else can I say but a massive thank you! From my very first enquiry with Marino to the wedding day itself, the band was professional and helpful. On the day, they were superb and even surprised us by performing songs that we were not expecting - when the cake was brought in and a serenade of the bride! One word: UNBELIEVABLE! From the moment we first contacted Marino and his band, through the performance and right to sending emails following the event, they have been utterly professional throughout. There was certainly no language barrier, the services offered were made clear and simple, of which the value for money was brilliant (more about that later). Onto the day itself... The band set themselves up at the venue without a fuss, and prior to them starting their set, came over to us and performed an impromptu version of "An Evening in Roma", which quite simply took our - and the rest of the guests' - breath away! This has turned into the highlight of our whole wedding, we really cannot stress how much we loved it! The set they performed was magnificent; the music was for all genres yet had its' own unique twist added, in which again we were all in awe and very happy indeed! The band were also very receptive to the First Dance songs, in which not only were they happy playing a song of choice, but were also fine with learning a "new" song; again, you coulld not ask for any more. In summary, going back to the first comment, the band were unbelievable. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone, in which please take our word, you will be getting your moneys worth and you will be extremely impressed! After an amazing wedding weekend in Rome- I can honestly say the Italian wedding band were one of the biggest highlights of our reception! Absolutely fantastic song list, unbelievable musicians and really gave us the wow factor we were looking for at our Italian wedding! So much fun- we didn't stop dancing from the very first song till the end of the night- my new husband and family members were even up singing with the band which was great!! The Italian Wedding Band were fantastic and such a memorable part of our wedding day. We first got in touch with Marino ten months before the wedding and found him so responsive, helpful and overall very easy to deal with. We were in Rome 6 months beforehand and were delighted to meet Marino in person. On the wedding day we had two of the musicians play fantastically at the reception before our meal. It was perfect background music and really suited the setting. Some guests said that when they arrived out to the terrace to hear the music being played they felt like they had just stepped into the wedding scene from The Godfather! We were also overwhelmed with a serenade after our meal, this was one of our favorite parts of the whole day and was wonderfully performed. Marino had also set up the sound and mic for our speeches which was a great help for us. The band entertained everyone after the meal outside on the terrace for hours. Marino happily agreed to learn a new song for our first dance which we really appreciated. The music was brilliant, and was enjoyed by everyone whether sitting or on the dancefloor. The mix of Italian and international hits went down really well, this band definitely know how to entertain the crowd. We had also booked a DJ with Marino who played for another couple of hours with a playlist that included our requested songs. For the night after our wedding we booked musicians Paul and Sal again with Marino's help and were really impressed with these guys. We would not hesitate to recommend The Italian Wedding Band to other couples. We had amazing feedback from our guests, this is a totally different experience to most Irish wedding bands- when you're getting married in Italy isn't this what you want? Marino and the Italian Wedding Band were fantastic to work with. Communication was easy (and important to us since we were planning from abroad). One in-person meeting 6 months before the wedding at our venue was all we needed. Mariano asked all the right questions, prepared us for what was normal and was happy to equally take some direction on what we wanted as well. The wedding night went without any issues. The band equally on point and organized as they were laid back and flexible - a unique combo that we were so grateful for.

Really, our party- or what we remember of it- would never have been the same without you guys! It was not like employing band to play, it was more like having guests playing music for all of us. You played non-stop from afternoon to way past midnight and instead of having our neighbors complain we had them ask for your contact details the next day because they so much enjoyed your stuff. You knew exactly what to play and when to play it, got everybody up on their feet dancing ! You guys rock, you roll, you swing! If we ever get married again ;-), we´re booking you !

The Italian Wedding Band made an already special day even more amazing for my wife and I! I cannot say enough good things about them to justify just how great they were but we are both very happy they played at our wedding. When you have the Italian Wedding Band play at your wedding, you have top quality professionals, they look and sound the part. I would especially like to thank them for the surprise when our wedding meal was running over time, Marino came in and serenaded my wife, much to the delight of her and our guests. For our wedding song, we gave them a difficult task by picking a song which is very different to their genre but they played it beautifully and we loved it! They then sang some great songs to get everyone dancing and with the mix of Italian songs to keep the Italian theme going along with Irish and English language songs, the guests loved them. They were great fun and sounded brilliant. They played for as long as they possibly could and even apologised to us they couldn't play longer which I can definitely say everyone would have loved if they could. All of our guests spoke to us about how much they enjoyed them and for anyone considering them I would 100% say go with them because they are worth every penny. The Italian Wedding Band were truly amazing. They played at our wedding at Villa Catureglio and took care of the ceremony music, music during the aperitivo, music for dancing and dj at the end of the night. We had so many comments from our guests afterwards calling them the best wedding band they had ever come across and we had to agree. They were so full of energy and the dance floor was always full. Would highly recommend them, they were truly fantastic!!

We used Marino's second band, The Waistcoats. We had originally booked Marino's band, The Italian Wedding Band, but after I sent him our playlist, he said we were better to choose The Waistcoats as they were more appropriate for our requests. They didn't fail. They were fantastic. Marino himself is an excellent manager and replies to your emails day or night and at a very fast response rate. He knows immediately what you want and makes great recommendations also. We used his DJ services too and he was also brilliant. The band and DJ were very professional, arrived well ahead of schedule to do the sound checks and set up and played well past their times. You won't find better music services in Italy!

OK first off I'm a somewhat cynical man with an over-inflated sense of my taste in music being better than everyone elses. When I saw all the 5 star reviews I found it hard to believe. Seriously though guys, this band is pure professional quality. Pre-wedding we asked them to prepare a tricky wedding song and another favourite of mine. There's 6 parts in the band so that's no small request. No problem was the reply. We had a trumpet and clarinet for the service and it was beautifully flawless. They dress well and act with a quiet professionalism. They played great music through the reception. I don't want to give away and secrets but the little extras surprises they do was the best bit about them. Marino (front man) is a legend. He went out of his to make the whole day special. It felt unique to us. We're Irish and can be a reserved bunch from a dancing point of view but the after dinner we hit the dance floor in spots, immediately. Appeals to all ages. Forget the standard wedding band crap, the Italian Wedding Band is where it's at. Strongly recommend. Happy to be contacted with any questions re review.

They were absolutely brilliant. Had everyone on their feet and dancing and maintained the tempo of the evening throughout. Would strongly advise using them. They sung a great mix of fun Italian classics and other great well known tracks. Absolutely brilliant.

We had the good fortune to book Marino and the band for our wedding in the Tuscan hills in June 2015 and it was the best decision we could have made. From the moment they arrived they made sure that if we had anything to ask, want or request if they could play it they would and that nothing was too much trouble. They surprised us with a rendition of 'on an evening in Roma' straight after the service in the grounds of the Borgo which was a really nice touch. They even created a new version of 'It had to be you' for our wedding song! They had everyone up dancing, young and old and could not have ticked any more boxes for us in terms of the repertoire they had or service they offered. Very funny, very talented and very good value for money. Our only wish is that we could have the Wedding night with the band playing all over again! Thank you Marino and the boys!

From the very first moment we contacted the Italian Wedding Band and had a response back from Marino, we knew we had made the right choice. Marino was so easy to deal with from start to finish. We didn't really have any requests but Marino was helpful in all of his suggestions and we were glad of this as he seemed to have a better idea as to what would work for us than we did. We opted to have music played at our Aperitivo and we were so glad we did because the two guys playing were fantastic and it was even better than we could have imagined. Unbeknown to us Marino had made a playlist of very appropriate lounge style songs which were played as background music at our outdoor sit down meal. There were also another couple of amazing surprises throughout the evening but I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for anyone else so won't say what was done - all I will say is that we were both very touched. After we cut our cake the band started up and pretty much got everyone up dancing. They were nothing short of brilliant. Everyone loved them. They sounded great, looked great and were so much fun. We didn't want the guys to finish (no one did!) and reluctantly we then switched to another area for a final party. The band had set up the equipment for a friend to DJ and luckily for us hung about to party with us for a little bit longer. Not only did we get professional musicians on our wedding day but we also had the company of a really great bunch of guys. A truly fantastic band in every sense.

We chose the Italian Wedding Band for our wedding near Padova, Veneto and we definitely made the right choice! Marino and the Italian Wedding Band were amazing from the moment we first made contact until the very end of our wedding! We chose the Italian Wedding Band firstly because Marino speaks perfect English, which was important to us as over 50% of our guests were English speaking, and because from the videos we had seen on the internet the band are really entertaining and get people dancing! The musicians in the band are true professionals, and each part of the day was perfectly tuned to the mood at that moment. The ceremony music was absolutely perfect; the traditional Italian music during the cocktail reception in the sunshine really added to the atmosphere, and the swing music during the evening party was brilliant and had everyone up dancing! There were a few extras thrown in throughout the day as well, which were totally unexpected and had us both grinning from ear to ear! All of our guests commented afterwards how good the band are! We hired The Italian Wedding band for our wedding in Italy and I cannot say thank you enough to Marino and all the members on their performance. They were absolutely fantastic; all of our guests were amazed on the show they put on. I will never forget the special songs they performed for us. From start to finish Marino was professional, he was reliable in getting back to us via email and Skype making sure we got the songs and performance we wanted. Marino and the band played at our wedding in Positano on 13th August and were completely amazing. I had read all of their reviews online so of course had high expectations but they surpassed even these! They are all so talented and the music they played just perfectly suited every part of the day. A huge thank you to Marino and the rest of The Italian Wedding Band for playing at our wedding in Castello di Gabbiano on Aug 23rd. They were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We had them do the music for our wedding ceremony which was outdoors, cocktail reception and dancing after dinner. The lead singer of the Swing Pistols Marino has asked me to write a testimonial about our wedding reception at Al Veluu on the banks of Lake Como and it's going to be an easy one. We hired the Swing Pistols after researching them on YouTube. They appeared to be the perfect band to help us celebrate our special day and what a fantastic choice they were. During our reception meal, Marino and the boys decided to play us an impromptu song standing up at our table. We had no idea this was going to happen and it really got the party started. After the cutting of the cake, the band kicked in and the atmosphere went to another level. It was 3 hours of non stop hits and fantastic musicianship. The bride did not sit down for the entire set, as she did not want to miss one moment. That in itself is a glowing recommendation. Unlike other wedding bands that I have witnessed, the Swing Pistols really got involved in the whole celebration and the interplay between band members and party guests was fantastic. After a glorious encore, the guys said their goodbye's and left the guests to give nothing but praise to myself and the bride about how they were the perfect band to fit such a spectacular occasion. We had such an amazing in Borgo di Tragliata. From the minute the Italian Wedding Band came on the dance floor was filled all night with all the guests continuously on the floor until start to finish. They had some of our guests up singing and playing instruments. I cannot thank them enough and everyone of our guests have said they have never seen a live band as good. We are SO happy to have chosen The Italian Wedding Band for our recent wedding celebrations in Castello di Vincigliata, Florence. We had them play super cool lounge music for the aperitifs which the guests loved as it gave such a relaxing vibe while people mingled in the gardens. Following this, they played background music during dinner in the courtyard which was a lovely touch too. We had requested that my brother in law sing our first dance song with the help of the band and this was never a problem for The Italian Wedding Band. Marino was so helpful when organising this and he even provided a guitar to my brother in law to play whilst they accompanied him. After the first dance, the band got started and played continuously for two and a half hours or so... They were absolutely fantastic! Even though we only had 80 guests at the wedding the dance floor was full all night (judging from past experiences even a big wedding can have an empty dance floor!)... And the band really got a feel for the music the guests were enjoying. All of the guests could not get over how good these guys were on the night and even they are talking about them after returning to Ireland. The bands music suited people of all ages at the wedding. We would have no problem recommending them to any couple getting married in Italy.....out of everything on the day the band are one of the most important things to get right and with The Italian Wedding Band you can't go wrong!

We used the Italian wedding band and their dj in May 2014 at our reception in Frascati, Rome. The band were so much fun and all of our guests are still talking about them, and will be for a long time. Their swing style music is great for all the generations. Marino, apologies for the delay in getting this review to you! We are absolutely delighted that we chose you to play for our wedding in Siena in August. Firstly the instrumental music in the church was so moving and the musicans even learned two requested pieces for us to add to the special memories of the ceremony. Then the guys played some cool background music at the drinks reception, which was some of the guests favorite part of the day, prosecco, delicious food, under the sun and the top class live music in the background just topped it off. Thanks also for setting up the speakers and microphones for for our speeches during dinner (much appreciated). After the meal, Marino and his band took to the stage and played That's Amore as our first dance, amazing!! The band are real entertainers and kept our 85 Irish guests on the dance floor all night (3hours+). Their music caters to all ages, our friends in twenties and thirties to our parents and older family member, everyone had a ball. We hired DJ Enzo through Marino, who played after the band finished, he is also a class act and kept us dancing until 5am. Enzo (also a one man band) played live for us the following night after a bbq and then dj'd again into the early hours. I have no hesitation recommending Marino, his band and Enzo if you want a party to remember. True professionals, excellent communication from day one to wedding day, everything ran so smoothly, you won't need to worry about a thing in Marinos hands. Only wish we could go back and do it all over again!!

We’re an Irish couple who got married on September 12th 2013 in Villa Pizzo in Lake Como. We wanted a swing type band to go with our black tie dress code and classic outdoor setting. I did some research and came across some material from The Italian Wedding Band a.k.a The Swing Pistols. They seemed to tick all the boxes so I got in touch with Marino to discuss our requirements and see if I could get a feel for them. I’ve got to say that from the start Marino was a professional and knew what we wanted from a wedding band. We wanted a band that sounded and looked great, played the right kind of music and ultimately got people on the dance floor. We also wanted a band that was able to have the craic with the guests even with the language different, but Marino the lead in the band spoke really good English and said he was well used to an Irish crowd (I think the fact his wife is Irish helps)!. So with that we booked the full band for after dinner and a two piece acoustic set for the welcome drinks. On the wedding day they we all set up and ready to go by time we arrived to the venue so there was no messing around and two of the band members were playing their acoustic set in the garden. Our dinner and speeches finished late so we were a bit behind schedule but when the full band started they started with a bang and our first dance (Andy Williams - Can't take my eyes off you) which they had learned off for us sounded great, especially with having a brass section in the band. They played classic Italian hit after hit which got everyone dancing, mixed with a couple pretty cool versions of modern songs towards the end of the set. They even got guests involved and allowed a couple of them who have been in bands themselves to sing! It was really good fun and everyone loved it. Fair play guys! Bottom line is the band was great and got everyone dancing young and old. They really were one of the highlights of the day. We would have no problem recommending them to others if you like this type of music (they will send you a repertoire). Also one of ours guests brothers had them for his wedding and he gave us similar feedback. Book them and they will go down a storm. Good luck and thanks again Marino!

Since the beginning the Italian Wedding Band have been extremely professional and reliable. Thanks to their music and energy, we had a fantastic time. Marino and the band came down from Rome to play at our wedding in Sorrento. From start to finish they were brillant to work with. Their professionalism made everything so easy, especially since we were doing most of the organising from the Middle East where we live and Ireland when we were home. Everyone loved them! Marino made life so easy, he switly replied to emails and I had absolute confidence in him, despite having never met him before the wedding day. I booked the Italian Wedding band for our wedding in Umbria in August 2012. I had heard other bands but was not happy with them and having seen the reviews for the Italian Wedding band I took a chance and booked them. I was not sorry. The Italian Wedding band are simply brilliant. Everyone at our wedding raved about them (and are still talking about them) and we did not get off the floor for the night. My only regret is that we could not have them play for longer due to noise restrictions at our venue. The Italian Wedding Band came all the way from Rome to play at our wedding in Northern Italy and they were absolutely fantastic. We are so pleased that we booked them! They played music that got everyone up dancing or singing along. Before the day, Marino was in regular contact with me, suggesting music and asking for any requests – this was really good when you are planning an event from another country. In the end we asked the Italian Wedding Band to play for the ceremony (a trumpet and clarinet), after the ceremony and during the aperitivi, and then for the dancing after dinner. Each time, they played different songs each suitable for the moment and we were really pleased with the music throughout the day. They really understood the crowd and also what we wanted for our wedding. They have their own style and lots of energy… and they understood the British wedding tradition that people want to dance! We would highly recommend the Italian Wedding Band to play at your events and we would like to say a big thank you to them for making the journey up to Varese for our wedding and making it such a wonderful day for us. We booked the Italian Wedding Band for our Tuscan wedding (30th June 2012) and could not have been happier with the service we received from Marino in the run up to the wedding never mind the fantastic performances the band put on for the day. We had a two peice (flute and clarinet) play classical music for our church service. The music was so fitting and moving and I loved it. We then had a three peice Jazz trio for our outdoor Cocktail reception. We have had amazing feedback from our friends and family about the trio music and our friends were saying that it made them feel as if they were in the coolest exclusive club in Ibiza! And then on to the evening.... The Band provided us with Microphone & speaker set up for our speeches and then after our meal played about 2 hours of fantastic swing band music (with the full 7/8 piece band) Marino and the band managed to learn our first dance at very short notice and just blew us away with how amazing his voice sounded and it's safe to say that, without doubt, it was the most memorable moment of the day for me. (I was so pleased that they performed live and we didn't have to play a CD) The evening of dancing and jibes of fun from the band was just so brilliant and special. Everyone was on their feet dancing and the feedback again from our friends and family has been amazing. All in all we could not have asked for better and I'm so glad that we chose the Italian Wedding Band (something a bit different than a man with a guitar) Highly recommend Marino and The Italian Wedding Band

The Italian Wedding Band are pure class. They gave our wedding a real Italian feel, the music was brilliant and they got everyone up dancing from start to finish. They look and sound great, are lovely to deal with and are very accommodating. They learned a new song for our first dance and everyone commented on what a great band they were. We originally contacted Marino to arrange a DJ for our wedding in Rome as we thought a swing band would be too much for a small (30 guests) wedding but at the same time we wanted some sort of music! Marino offered us another alternative - an acoustic 2 man band & it worked out perfectly. They played everything from Johnny Cash to U2 to Bruce Springsteen & interacted brilliantly with the crowd, it was just what we were looking for.For a smaller wedding we would definitely recommend this option - thanks guys!!

Absolutely awesome! We were really worried about music options and as such carried out an extensive search in both Italy and the UK (we were even considering flying someone over from the uk). I’m so glad we didn’t as The Italian Wedding Band were just perfect both the planning before our wedding and during the day/night itself. They had everybody up on the dance floor, without being cheesy in the slightest. They were brilliant - really!

If the scuffed knees on trousers (from knee slides) and other dancing related injuries are anything to go by this band are the greatest! We've had so many reports from guests of the fun they had over the course of 5 hours of music from Marino, the band, and Paul the DJ...Marino & Co. trekked up to join us in Lubriano for our big day after recommendation from my sister who say them play at the Celtic Ball in Rome a couple of times.Great success - thanks!

My wife and I stumbled across The Italian Wedding Band online and after a few chats on the phone, booked them to take charge of all the music (ceremony, aperitivo and reception/party) for our wedding in June this year at Villa Catureglio. All I can say is that they were amazing. Our wedding went just as we hoped and they really topped things off, everyone loved them. They have a huge repertoire, from Italian jazz to English and American rock, had tonnes of charm and charisma and really got everyone going. At one point the sax player even had every single guest following him round the garden! We just wish we could use them for something else, but seeing as live in London and they in Rome, that might be difficult! If you want to make your wedding one to remember, I can't recommend them highly enough.

We got married in Rome this summer, and we had the Italian Wedding Band for our reception. They were excellent, the music & singing was brilliant and suits all ages,everyone was up dancing when they came on. Marino was very easy to deal with in the lead up to the wedding day, and went through everything with us in detail about the bands music, and was very helpful. We would recommend himself and the band to anyone getting married in Italy!

My wife and I got married in Rome on April 30th. We booked The Italian Wedding Band for our reception in the Boscollo Exedra hotel and we were SO glad we did. They were brilliant! Fantastic musicians and showmen that had everyone up dancing (young and old) from the very start of their set until the finish. Marino was very professional to communicate with and even helped us out with a soundman to arrive a few hours before the band so that we could play our own background music before the speeches and during our dinner. We would definitely recommend them if you're thinking of getting married in Rome. :-D

We got married at the Borgo di Tragliata a few weeks back. Marino was fantastic from the start, we chose a song for our first dance which we played from a CD but Marino and the boys had all the chords learned off and when the song finished the guys did a reprise of the chorus on the trumpets. It was absolute class and a lovely touch on their behalf. I felt that the band made the night as they had the floor packed from start to finish. Also their DJ followed up with a great set made up of our selections and some of his choices. When my sister in law wanted to play musical chairs it was no bother and between Congo lines and Limbo dancing we all slept well that night. AAA performance. Thanks guys.

We got married on 15th April 2011 with dinner in L'Archeologia ( ristorante Via Appia Antica) Marino and the guys were brillant and everyone at the wedding were talking about them. They gave the wedding a real italian feel yet playing all the classic s that everyone could dance to. they were so easy to deal with.Definately recommend them.

We got married in Villia Catignano, Siena 2011. The Band turned up with plenty of time to spare and ensure everything was set up correctly. The guests loved the music and got everyone into the spirit of the celebrations. Marino and the gang were very professional and certainly were a great bit of craic after their set had finished. We got married on June 4th near Lake Albano, Rome. The band were absolutley fantastic - we danced all night! They are very professional, great musicians and true performers! The music suits all age groups and works really well in the Italian wedding setting. Would recommend!

Alan and I got married in the Irish college Rome April 16th this year followed by a intimate reception in the Castello della Castelluccia just north of the city.Marino and the lads were the highlight of the day for our guests. they had everyone up on the floor for the duration of their music. it was so different and quirky from the traditional Irish wedding bands and we absolutely loved every second!! think the italians think we are mad since.....but it was a day and night we will never forget thanks for the memories

We got married at the beautiful Fattoria Lavacchio about 20km from Florence, and the Italian Wedding Band made the trip all the way from Rome for our big day. We searched high and low for a band online and none of them could even come close to Marino and the band...so we booked them and never looked back. Our party is still talked about by our friends as being one of the most fun and relaxed weddings they have been to and much of this was down to the band and the way they got everyone up on their feet all night. BRILLIANT!!!!

We got married at the Marriot in Rome last May and from the moment we contacted Marino from the Italian Wedding Band we knew they were the music of choice for our big day! We have been to so many weddings over the last year both here in Ireland and abroad and the Italian Wedding Band are by far the best wedding band we have ever seen. From the moment they arrived our guests were curios and as soon as they started playing myself and John Paul didnt have to worry one bit about whether our guests were enjoying themselves, they never left the dancefloor! The selection of songs suit everyone and they really know how to get the crowd (no matter what age!) going! I would not hesistate recommending the Italian Wedding Band, they were superb!

we got married in borgo di tragliata on 19 july '10. we didnt have the band but we got the dj from marinos band. he was fantastic, prior to the wedding i sent a specific playlist for him and the order i wanted the songs to be played in and he played every song just like i asked. Great dj, very friendly and very professional, also e mailing marino felf easy as he was also very helpful and very friendly, i would recommend them to anybody planning on getting married in italy

Marino and his band played at our wedding at Villa La Palagina just outside Figline Valdarno in Tuscany. These guys are just fantastic, they had all our guests, of all ages, up and dancing for the whole night. They played some great songs, engaged brilliantly with our guests and really made the evening with their energy and enthusiasm. I would recommend them unreservedly, if you're getting married anywhere near Rome (and as one of the other posts says, they'll travel a fair way if you're not), then book them!

Where do I start - Marino and his band made our wedding a night to remember! John and I got married in the beautiful Portovenere, Liguria, Italy in early Sept 08. When we stumbled on Marino's website we knew we stuck gold. The guys travelled from Rome, 4 hours north to Portovenere to play at our wedding. Noboby sat for the entire time they played. I actually think the footage on their website does them no justice. We had some very musical people at our wedding and the band were complimented continuously on how 'tight' they were. Hi, We just got back from Rome where we had our wedding last week. I had heard from a few websites and a friend of mine that these guys were good. They didn't mention though, how good they really were! Marino and the boys were unreal! Apart from being technically excellent, they got the crowd up and dancing from the word go and never let them settle! With a mix of swing greats that everyone knows and a few Italian classics (that we all know now!), we had such a brilliant night thanks to them.
