We?ve been meaning to post feedback on Japan Ireland Travel for quite a while now. We went on our honeymoon to Japan in June. Ireland Japan Travel organised the trip for us. As we are both studying part time, as well as working, we had very little time to organise the honeymoon eventhough we wanted to see and do as much as possible when in Japan. It was then that a friend recommended JIT. So we spoke with them over a few calls and planed an itenary for a two week trip. JIT advised us on every aspect of our trip mking sure everything ran smoothly. It certainly would not have been possible without their input.
Japan was absolutely fantastic. We loved every minute. We started in Amami Ooshima for 4 nights. The island is beautiful, the hotel (BASHAYAMA MURA HOTEL) was clean, staff friendly and overall the perfect start to the honeymoon. From there we headed north to Ibusuki to take in the sand baths (a very relaxing experience) & then Miyajima Island in the IWASO hotel. The island is fantastic from the roaming wild deer to the floating temples. A sort ferry took us back to Hiroshima where we visited the A bomb site. A very moving but memorable experience. We then spent 3 brilliant nights in Kyoto, staying in the Granvia. We met a Miko, learned how to make tea (the traditional tea ceremony way) and enjoyed many hours in the indoor markets. We went on to spend one night in Wakayama in a temple where we experienced the Buddhist ceremony. We then spent a night in Hakone to take in Mt Fuji and finished with 5 nights in Tokyo. This is an amazing city full of interesting people, sites and things to do. We stayed in Keio Plaza and in The Penninsula which was the ultimate ending to a super honeymoon.
So all in all we have no hesitation in recommending Japan as a destination for a honeymoon and would also recommend JIT to help you get the most out of your time there! It is a fantastic travel agency!
