Memories - The Bridal Boutique Cork

Top class service here at Memories. Went to the shop in Cork first and they sent a dress to Dublin for my appointment there to try it on again and others. I picked my dress in Memories Dublin but both shops were fab - Brother and Sister I believe - both excellent and the gowns were just beautiful. I loved my dress - I chose Cabotine and can't wait to wear it next year. Hazel

A bitter ending! - I bought my dress in memories in October 2018. Although the decor of the shop leaves alot to be desired and is very run down looking but there stock of dresses was lovely and the sample dresses were very clean. All was going well until my dress came in, I arrived at the shop full of excitement and couldn't wait to see the dress but I was rather surprised to be asked was I paying cash or card to pay for it in full before I even tried it on. I understand it has to be paid in full but maybe after the bride has it on and is happy with it is probably more appropriate. It came in with the wrong colour belt and it was on the tag that it was ordered in the wrong colour. I paid for extra ribbon to make straps which had to be used to replace the wrong colour (the store covered the cost of putting the belt on the dress but I still had paid for the additional ribbon which was never offered to be refunded to me). I found the seamstress dismissive and disinterested and I wasnt satisfied so I decided not to go with her in the end. The customer service once my dress was paid for in full was appalling. I asked for a swatch of the dress colour to be sent as it was requested by my florist which he assured me it would be sent to my address even though I offered to collect it in store if it was easier than posting, it was never sent. I rang a number of times, I left a voicemail explaining I was concerned about the seamstress recommendations and asked for a call back to give me some clarification and explaining my concerns which I never got a reply to. I had sent 3 emails which were never replied to. I found communicating with the shop difficult with very poor followup leaving me at times frustrated. I ended up using a different seamstress because I was left not confident in the ability of the lady recommended by memories. On the day I had organised to collect my dress he was in the middle of dress fitting with another bride. I was met at the door of the shop with the dress in a bag without even being offered to see the alteration which they had fixed with the wrong belt I was expected to just take it away without even seeing it which I found a little rude. I had to ask for the additional lace and ribbon which I paid for which I actually never got in the end. Rushed off to say the least. Nice dresses, not so nice customer service. I have discussed my opinion with a good few people who have had very similar experiences which is why I chose to write this review.

I went to lots of bridal dress shops and the experience at Memories was like no other! Based on the information you give them they bring the dresses to you - so the filter and edit and you don’t get overwhelmed. The staff I dealt with were so friendly and they helped me find the perfect dress for my day!

Was very happy with customer service provided here. Would highly recommend.

I loved my dress and my veil so much. Karl knew what I wanted before I did and he helped me every step of the way. He's the wedding dress whisperer I swear. Everyone I sent to memories after I went there ended up getting their dress there too. I didn't enjoy wedding dress shopping up to the point of meeting Karl. Memories was my 6th shop and I didn't want to go. That day I couldn't choose between the dresses I absolutely loved 2. I left the shop and slept on it and when I woke up my decision was made I rang Karl and ordered it. It was by a Spanish designer and would take 9 months to arrive so there was no time to spare. My favourite thing about Karl was you knew he was being honest with his opinion. In other shops they had tried to sell me all kinds of hideous things. Thankfully Karl was honest and without being rude would steer you in the right direction. He does this everyday he knows what he's doing so trust him and enjoy the experience.

They had a great selection of dresses and karl was great. I had to postpone my wedding by a few months and memories kept my dress for me until the later date.

Karl was a pleasure to deal with, I had an idea in my head with regards style and Karl just made things very simple. Lima the dress maker was absolutely fantastic, she hand stitched every piece of my neck line, which I absolutely loved.

This was my 4th bridal store when looking for my dress. It was the best and to be honest even though I loved a few dresses in other shops I had a number of favourites here and I was hard to please. In the end I was delighted to find my perfect dress here. Memories has a great reputation for honest advice and I wasnt disappointed - Carl was the perosn I worked with. He was honest, helped guide me to "the one" and everything after was perfect - veil, brideslaids, colours, he even helped with flower suggestions. I literally adored my dress. A big thank you to Carl and the whole staff at Memories. I am only too happy to add my name to the list of happy brides. J.

My sister purchased her wedding gown from you guys - she is finished her alterations now and getting married next week and loves her dress as much now as the first time you picked it for her to try on ( she didnt want to lol ) So much excitement for next week. The only place prospective brides should go for their dream dress. After visiting around 4 other stores and being left in rooms with hundreds of dresses, being told I look amazing in them all and leaving feeling so overwhelmed, meeting Karl in Memories Bridal Boutique was like a breath of fresh air. He spoke with me briefly and then said 'you wait there and I will choose some dresses for you' - it was heaven after a stressful day of trying dresses that weren't nice, were poor quality and when you felt like you just wanted to give up. I can honestly say that every dress I tried on in Memories was beautiful and the quality was outstanding at very reasonable prices. I didn't personally love them all but I knew I was in the right place. Then Karl asked me to try on a dress and just said 'don't worry about the colour, just try it on to see if you like the style, it is also available in ivory'. I tried it on thinking I will never wear this colour but I'll try it for size. Oh my goodnesss!! I fell in love.. with the colour. It was blush and ivory, fitted at the top with a wide neckline, v at the back and layers and layers of gorgeousness. Karl was amazing, offering advice on bridesmaid colours, making me really feel $1 million and just being honest. I went back in the next day and put down my deposit. And the service didn't end there. From getting me the most beautiful veil (with rose petals at the bottom) to providing me with the best seamstress you could ask for - the end result was a dress (and veil) I didn't want to take off. Simply put, they made my day and I would recommend them to any bride who wants quality at a good price with excellent service. Can I get remarried, just to re-wear the dress???? Karl and his mum are just so amazing. They make you feel at ease straight away and are very welcoming. Karl just works his magic and dresses you for your for shape whatever it may be. His dresses are amazing and cost friendly and he transforms the dress in to whatever way you want it. Thanks again xxx

My experience with Memories Bridal Boutique has been wonderful from start to finish. I was expecting my 3rd child when I booked my wedding and only started looking for my dress 6 months before the big day!! The search wasn't going well until a friend recommended Memories. Karl is a wonder. When you arrive in the boutique you fill out some details about what you're looking for and he then guided me through what I wanted and selected some gowns to try. We were crying when I tried the second dress!! And that wasn't even what I ended up taking, he pulled out an even more beautiful version!! He has been so easy going and straight forward to deal with. I would recommend every bride to make an appointment, I felt like Cinderella on my wedding day, it was amazing. Thank you so much Karl.

Absolutely outstanding, Karl looked after me on the day, got a feel for what I was looking for and picked a selection of dresses. I left with the first one I tried on!! Alterations were done through the in-house seamstress, Laima, and attention to detail was second to none!! Suits any budget, very helpful, friendly and fun staff. Would and have recommended to other brides.

Let's face facts...the wedding is all about finding the perfect dress-not always an easy thing to do without breaking the bank! But if you are looking to find a wide selection of dresses that won't break the bank,then look no further!!!i had the shop to myself while trying on dresses.and because I wasn't sure of the style of dress I wanted-i was presented with a variety of dresses that would suit me-the third dress I tried on was 'the one' and to top it all off it was within my budget!!i can't recommend Memories highly enough.dress was dry cleaned and ready for me in plenty of time for fittings!couldnt ask for a more professional experience!

I bought my wedding dress here and was delighted. the dresses are unique...No chance of someone else buying the same dress in another shop. Theyl has a fantastic eye for what would suit...even dresses you might not pick yourself. The price was very reasonable and there was room for some haggling. The dress you try on is the dress you buy. There is no ordering and waiting 6 months for it to come in ( the wrong size was ordered for my friend and there wasn't enough time to get the correct size...she was very upset.) You can make appointments to try on any time you like if you want to show the dress to someone or see what your accessories etc look like. You have great piece of mind getting a dress here.

I went into memories with an idea in my head of what I wanted. My wife had already chosen her dress in there and so Karl knew what it was and that we wanted to make sure we didn't clash! So not only did he have to keep in mind finding a dress for me but also that it would compliment my wife's dress. I was adamant that I didn't want a traditional wedding dress. Karl understood, but said he had a dress in mind and asked if I'd try on a few of his suggestion first before finding some with my own style. I agreed. I tried on the first dress he suggested, and fell head over heels in love with it. I tried on a few more (because they said I had to....) but I knew, that was the dress I wanted. It was pretty much everything I thought I didn't want. It was also the dress the Karl had said beforehand to my friend that he thought would compliment my wife's dress the most, but he didn't want to tell me that and cloud my judgement. The dresses were perfect together on the day. I always recommend memories to anyone, the quality, service and expertise are beyond comparison. Almost every single person I've advised to go there have ended up finding their dream dress.

Every bride should visit Memories before any other bridal boutique. I couldn't have asked for anything more! We had the place to ourselves, I filled out a short questionnaire first regarding budget, style etc. a quick chat with Karl and off he went to pick a selection of dresses based on my responses. Trying on the dresses was amazing, we weren't rushed, he gave honest opinions about the dresses and whether or not he thought they were flattering for my body shape, and also little alteration tips for the dresses that I liked but wasn't 100% sure. The alteration tips were extremely helpful. In the end, I actually went with a dress that wasn't exactly my brief, a dress that Karl had chosen because he thought it would be nice on me (it was stunning!). The dress plus alterations came in at exactly my budget, because he had taken the cost of the alterations into consideration when choosing the dresses. The location is ideal, very easy to find, plenty parking nearby and easily accessible by public transport. The boutique itself is utterly charming! It's warm and inviting and full of character. I loved the decor! Karl is a genius, who knows what he is doing. He has a remarkable eye for choosing what will actually suit a woman's shape & size, and genuinely makes you feel comfortable, body-confident, and amazing; what more could a bride-to-be want!? I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret on another occasion and she had some great advice regarding suitable under-garments to wear under the dress and tips on the best shops to be fitted correctly. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Memories. Choosing a wedding dress can be stressful, there are so many beautiful gowns! Memories & Karl eliminated that unnecessary stress and made the whole experience a breath of fresh air. I wish I had gone to Memories first! I can look back at that experience now with fondness, thanks to Memories. Continued success to them.

I got married two weeks ago in a beautiful dress that I got in this store. It was so easy to pick a dress here as when we went in Karl sat me down and asked me a handful of questions. Then he went and picked out some dresses for me to try. Well the first dress I liked the top and the next dress I liked the bottom part so the third dress he pulled out was the perfect dress. I didn't have to go trawling through a load of dresses which was great. Plus there is no other brides there as they only take one at a time. It was so professional and I am very happy with the service. Thanks to Memories Cork for making it so easy for me. Highly recommended :-)

Well I just bought my wedding dress in March in Memories Cork :) I was nervous about shopping for a dress as I had never tried on a dress before and I was really torn between two styles. From the moment we set foot in the shop we were treated fantastically well by Karl . He asked me questions and listened to my opinions and ideas :) he pulled so many fantastic dresses for me I felt so special :) then came the one :) I had seen it on the Facebook page a while back and assumed it was sold as it is so stunning , and without even mentioning it at any stage to Karl he brought it out :) wow I loved it :) Karl you really made me feel so special and I just want to say thanks again :) every bride needs to visit Karl :) I can't wait to wear my dress and I'll never forget how fab the shopping experience was :)

I loved my dress the minute I put it on. "WOW, I have a figure in this" not being the smallest of people if you know what I mean. It was the first and only dress I tried on, I found my dress. I loved it. My husband loved it and so did our family & friends on our big day. Thanks Karl & the team.

Went into memories the other day, my first dress shop experience. They were brilliant inside and within the hour I had my dress picked and a deposit paid! I couldn't be happier, they went our of their way to show me many different styles and colours. I couldn't recommend them highly enough to any bride out there!

I love it and I really had a great experience at Memories and I just wanted to say thanks again and that I can't recommend highly enough.

visited memories bridal boutique cork today and what an overwhelming experience I had. It was the very first shop I went into and I purchased the very first dress I tryed on after trying on so many. Karl I cannot thank you enough for the most magical experience of my life. Your professionalism and expertise in knowing the type of dress I wanted and in giving your utmost honesty. I would highly highly recommend this shop to any bride to be. Karl from the bottom of my heart thank you again it was like as if you could read my mind it was the exact dress I had in my head for so so long. I overwhelmed and am so happy it was certainly worth a visit to your shop.

Memories was only the second shop I visited and only went the once as that was all I needed. On the Saturday we went in, we met Karl first and he asked me to describe what I was looking for. Once I had, he went through the rails picking dresses for me to try on. I had described V neck and lace and Karl told me he had put in one different neck line dress with the lace and this was the dress I purchased. It was amazing on in the shop but of course didn't look the same hanging in the wardrobe! I did a check in on occasion to make sure I still liked same and did have some moments of being unsure but on the day the day the dress was AMAZING. I wouldn't now change it for the world! It got so many compliments and I was even asked my one of the lads on the day if he could borrow it for his fiance!! :) Memories is a FAB shop. Karl really gives the personal touch. As I said I had only been to one other shop where I chose the dresses I tried on. Whereas you might think you'd prefer this yourself, to have someone listen to your description and pick your dress for you without knowing you really takes something special. Thanks Memories x

I bought my wedding dress from Memories in Cork last year for my wedding last August and the service from first walking in to the shop was fantastic. I found my dream dress and veil here with the help of Carl who knew exactly what would suit me. Their seamstress also did an amazing job on the few alterations I did need to have carried out. I would highly recommend this shop for those brides that want a fabulous and fashionable dress but don't want to waste a fortune on a dress that will only get one wear. It also meant I could afford to blow the budget on my shoes that I have worn on a few occasions since :-)

Girls ...... Please visit this amazing bridal boutique !!!! It was the first shop i tried for my dress and after a few visits elsewhere I ended up buying my dress here yesterday :) It is absolutly fab. Its a La Sposa dress and brand new and barely any alterations needed and a fantastic price too) Karl THANK YOU so much, you made it such a wonderful experience for myself and my mum and i would highly recommend your shop to anyone:) When i said i found my 'FRANK'..... I bought my dress here last week. Victoria was lovely and helpful and really helped me to find a dress to suit my shape. I came back the next day and met Karl. He was fabulous and really made me feel at ease. I love my dress and can't wait to wear it next year! What a relief to have found it!

Fantastic shop! Bought my dress there a few weeks ago and couldn't say enough good about it. Karl helped me day one and is fantastic and Victoria and another girl helped when I went back to re-try my favourite, they were also brilliant. I love that they don't pretend to like everything on you, they are very honest but diplomatic in their assessment of what you try on. Dress I got is brand new and a steal with regard to price. Def, try this shop!!

Thank you to Karl and Eimear for selling my wedding dress within a few weeks! I felt really happy that the dress that I wore on my special day would be worn again. If only the shop was open when I was getting married in 2005. I wish you all the best of luck for the future!

Well what can i say about this place only it was the first bridal shop i went into and the first dress i saw i fell in love with it and bought it on the spot. Now to be fair to the staff my dress was a size 12 and fair play to Laima she made it an amazing looking size 8 for me, which fitted like a glove. Thank you so much to all the staff for being so kind to me every time i came in and for all your help and opnion in getting my dress to fit perfectly, Best of luck for thr future. I purchased my dream dress from the bridal boutique. I had no idea what i wanted and after several stressful visits to other bridal stores found this experience refreshing and very personalised. Karl & Victoria made the experience personal and unforgettable and i would reccommend this store to everyone.

I just wanted to thank the team at the Bridal boutique in Cork. The service was better than anywhere else I visited and my dress is a dream I am not telling you what I spent on it but its a Maggie Sotterro and it was 1000 cheaper than the shop I went to the day before. Anyway thanks to Deborah and Carl and I say again - The Bridal Boutique in Cork rocks.
