Welcome,
My name is Margaret Roche. I am a One Spirit Interfaith Minister, a HSE Registered Solemniser and can legally marry you. My ceremonies are inclusive of all cultures, gender and orientation.
My professional life has been varied – I am a life coach, drama facilitator, counsellor and mediator and am now embracing my new role as Celebrant.
Ritual is important is our lives and for your wedding I will co –create with you, a magic blend of music, image and words in a ceremony that truly reflects who you are. Perhaps you would like a Celtic, or Traditional inspired theme, with rituals like hand-fasting, stone or sand ceremony to create a memorable tapestry of your special ceremony This is your wedding day.
I have a deep appreciation of our Celtic heritage, and sacred landscape. As a long-time member of Womanspirit Ireland, I have been engaged for many years in creating community events to celebrate Brigid’s Day/Imbolg, Samhain, Bealtine and the Celtic Wheel of the Year.
I will be delighted to talk with you and guide you through the various options that will best reflect you and your partners’ values and beliefs. We will make your wedding ceremony a beautiful, personalised occasion, unique to you both.
Celebrate your wedding on the day and venue of your choice.
“We wanted to have a non-religious ceremony with friends and family from disparate traditions. Margaret was the person we turned to in helping us plan and officiate on our special day. She had some wonderful suggestions around structuring our ceremony and had ideas that we weaved in, including a hand-fasting. We could not have had a better person to officiate: she was so calm, engaged and engaging. Every one of our guests felt that they were party to a unique event and many commented on how Margaret facilitated the co-construction of a celebration which spoke of our cultural heritage, Irish and Pakistani, which south to find common ground. She brought a sense of calm, spirituality and unity amongst us all and these memories will be cherished throughout our lives.” (Dr. L.L. & H.S.)
“When we approached Margaret we had no idea what kind of ceremony we wanted except that we wanted to be married at Christmas! Over a number of meetings and emails our ceremony evolved. It was a reflection of us both – our love of family, travel, our love of nature, football. Our wedding ceremony is something none of us will ever forget. The Handfasting, (tying of the knot by my mother), the Stone ceremony (stones blessed by our guests and gathered and brought to the hearth by our niece, the Remembering poem spoken by a Grandmother, we could go on. Each piece of our unique ceremony was beautifully woven together by Margaret into the perfect ceremony. We are eternally grateful to her for giving us the best of memories. Thank you.”
