My name is Ruth Healy and I am a registered solemniser with the HSE Ireland and accredited with The Humanist Association of Ireland to preform legal wedding ceremonies in Ireland.
I have worked for the past 20 years as a professional florist in the wedding & events industry and prior to this taught speech & drama and effective communication to both children and adults.
In essence I have been storytelling all of my working life, portraying human emotion through the medium of flowers, theatre and words. Creating a portal through which personal expression can be shared and enjoyed.
A Humanist wedding ceremony is a non religious ceremony crafted in celebration of your love story.
Your ceremony is the beating heart of your wedding day and it is my job to help you design a ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple and portray it in such a way that you and all your loved ones experience the emotional beauty of this new beginning.
A Humanist wedding ceremony is sheer joy.
There may be music and poetry and laughter and nerves, there may be missing rings and excited kids, there may be rain there may be sun there may even be a few tears but amidst all that there will be fun there will be joy and there will be love .

From the moment I met Ruth for our initial conversation, I knew that she was perfect. She listened to us and gave us great advice. Ruth tailored the ceremony perfectly, taking account of our personalities. Our ceremony was both emotional and hilarious and Adrian and I and our families and guests either laughed or cried through the whole wedding. On the day Ruth seamlessly organised the ceremony, wedding music, liaised with the hotel and organised clueless wedding party members. There aren't words to describe how eloquent Ruth is and she got our day off to an incredible start. As a testament to Ruth some of our wedding guests have now decided to renew their vows as they were so moved by her ceremony. Adrian and I would highly recommend Ruth. Where do we possibly start. Ruth was incredible right from the very first zoom meeting we had with her, putting us at ease about the whole thing straight away. The service itself was so personal & special, something we will never forget. We had nothing to worry about at any point as Ruth literally took care of it all. Ruth was great, the words that were spoken of my wife and I were really beautiful and the structure of the ceremony kept people engaged. Ruth offers special extras, like the old Celtic tradition of ‘tying the knot’, which was really special. We will have that ribbon and knot framed for life.

We had Ruth as our celebrant and she was just out of this world. From day 1 she was so involved and walked us through all the details every step of the way. She spoke with such passion and warmth and had everyone feeling so relaxed and involved in our intimate ceremony, she was a calming presence for myself and my partner on the morning of our day and she kept us both cool and calm! Ruth was absolutely amazing from start to finish. So friendly and easy going, she made the whole process a total breeze. It can be pretty daunting doing something different for a ceremony, writing vows and telling "your story" but honestly Ruth made it feel like we were just catching up with an old friend as she put together our tale. She has a way of making even the most mundane seem wildly romantic. Everyone loved the ceremony and said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Ruth was there on the morning early to help organise people and keep everyone right which was also such a great help in the midst of the busyness.!

Ruth made our day so special. From the preparation and learning about our love story to her telling it, was simply amazing. We were really happy that Ruth Healy was able to do our wedding ceremony, from our first call with Ruth she put us at ease, explained everything and kept us on track (timewise) the whole way.
Ruth is professional and friendly and I cant recommend her enough, we knew from early on we were in safe hands. She managed to get a great sense of us as a couple and that was reflected in our ceremony. We had lots of compliments about Ruth and the wedding ceremony on our special day.

Ruth was truly the best person we could have selected for celebrating our marriage. From the jump she was friendly, warm and excited to get started. She got to know us and weaved together our love story, our chosen ceremony rituals and readings into the most beautiful ceremony.
I had so many guests tell me how blown away they were by her and that it was the most beautiful ceremony they’d ever witnessed.

Ruth officiated at our wedding which was a very small and intimate celebration with immediate family. From the first meeting to the day itself, Ruth made everything easy and fun and she really listened to how we wanted our wedding to be celebrated and this showed on the day. We were extremely happy.

We had so many guests who hadn't witnessed a Humanist ceremony before who really loved it and many more who complimented Ruth on how charismatic, heartfelt and personal herself and the ceremony were, it really set the tone for the whole day going forward.
Ruth was very active in helping us prepare the content for the ceremony and we were able to meet with her a couple of times prior to the wedding to go through what she needed and what to expect. These meetings where very easy to arrange and Ruth was very accommodating.

Ruth was so supportive and had such a gentle approach from our first online meeting. She guided us through all the steps along the way and delivered a beautiful ceremony. We have a young child who she included in the ceremony and was able to go with the flow of our childs needs as they arose. I would highly recommend her.

I am so happy Ruth was our celebrant. Our ceremony was my favourite memory of the day and Ruth was a massive reason why. When we got of our first zoom meeting I instantly knew I did not need to worry or think any more that part of the day because it was in safe hands!!! She took in everything about us as a coupe and put it into beautiful words for us all to enjoy on the day, Co ordinated the musicians , family and us so seamlessly - she is truly gifted in what she does xx

Ruth was an incredible celebrant and we couldn't have wished for a better person. She was so kind to us, so happy and helpful all the way through. I had seen that Ruth had become a celebrant and I knew she was the perfect lady for the job. We had the most beautiful day and she made the ceremony utterly magical. She made it exactly as we wanted it and the allocated time was absolutely perfect. Ruth is a gorgeous person inside and out, highly, highly recommended.

I don't think a short review will do justice to the incredible job Ruth did on our wedding day. The ceremony was without a doubt (and unexpectedly) our favourite part of the whole experience and that was down to Ruth's inspirational words. Ruth set a very relaxed tone making us and all of our guests feel at ease from the start. She delivered a ceremony that was full of humour and was so personal to us as a couple. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Ruth had the difficult task of getting to know us as a couple. She made this experience so easy through zoom calls and made us feel so relaxed with the whole process. Ruth has the ability to be so professional while also making you feel like you are chatting with a good friend. Ruth was mentioned many times on our wedding day and for weeks after, with people complimenting how personalised, heartfelt and meaninful the whole ceremony was. I cannot recommend Ruth enough.

Ruth was professional in her approach, reliable, punctual, and well-organised. She had an understanding of the legal requirements for a marriage ceremony and was able to handle any necessary paperwork efficiently. We had a beautiful day and the ceremony was perfect thanks to Ruth, it was everything we could have asked for and most importantly it was made easy and plain sailing by Ruth. She delivered a personl, intimate, beautiful ceremony without any stress put on us and was very understanding when we had to cancel first time round, would highly recommend Ruth.

My journey with Ruth from the first phone call to the closing of our wedding ceremony was by far my favourite. Ruth had us us laughing with her witty humour one minute and crying tears of deep love the next. She wrapped a tender arm around my daughter when she cried during her poem and equally beamed with pride when my eldest sang. It is very easy to get caught up in the surroundings, the aesthetic and the non essentials.. however it's the feeling created that counts. When you find someone, like Ruth, who aligns herself to that .. grab her !!

From the very beginning, she took all the stress out of the unknown for us. She met with us several times, guided us through every step, and helped shape a ceremony that felt completely our own. On the day itself, she was there well in advance, calmly managing every detail, from coordinating the music to setting up her own PA system, which took a huge weight off our minds.
When nerves kicked in just before the ceremony, Ruth had this wonderful ability to bring calm and reassurance. Thanks to her, we were able to be fully present and enjoy the moment.
Even weeks later, our guests are still talking about how personal, meaningful, and enjoyable the ceremony was, a true reflection of Ruth’s warmth, care, and attention to detail.
We can’t recommend Ruth highly enough, she made our day everything we hoped it would be and more.
