The level of care & attention we got from Katie and Cliodhna throughout the planning of our wedding was excellent. I felt like I was getting emails on an almost weekly basis from Katie telling me about some other service they were going to provide, unasked for, without the price ever changing. Any potential issues that occurred to us Katie already had thought of and solved behind the scenes. Once we booked the various suppliers Katie took over and made sure everyone's ducks were in a row, everything was taken off our plate. You get a genuine sense from these guys that if they have a choice between maximizing how much they can make out of a wedding or maximizing how enjoyable the couple find the whole process they are totally focused on the latter. It was lovely to be organizing something that was so important to us and feel like the people who were helping us to do it really cared about the result. We had both the ceremony and party at 10 Bridge Street. The venue is lovely for both. The fact that it is a former church is nice for the ceremony as the room has a look and feel that are very apropos. The layout works really well for the afters too as the dancefloor flows into the bar, so people are dancing almost by default. We had the drinks reception in Kingston's while 10BS were changing over from ceremony to dinner set-up. Again, that is all arranged between the two places without any fuss for us. It's brilliant to see local businesses working so well together. The staff in Kingston's are absolutely excellent as well, they also have rooms which the wedding party stayed in and were very happy with. The bar itself is class. When you go in the door it is a proper cosy Irish pub but as you get a bit farther in you see that it opens out with loads of space for guests and a massive terrace out the back as well. We didn't want a wedding with a long sit-down meal, seating plans etc, so to find a place that does a more informal style of meal where everyone is free to move around throughout was great. Even for that style the service was really smooth and attentive, the food was excellent and there was plenty of everything. The bar staff were on the ball and kept up with the demand to their credit. Overall 10/10, would get married here again

Reflecting on our entire wedding experience, from the initial booking to the actual day itself, we are delighted not only in our decision to hold the event at 10 Bridge Street, but also to recommend this fantastic and unique venue to any people looking for a place that will care for you and guide you, but also ensure that your wedding is undeniably ‘yours’. From the day we booked over the phone, to the menu tasting and every bit of correspondence in between, Katie, Cliodhna and the staff at 10 Bridge Street’s open yet solution-driven and focused approach allowed for my partner and I to truly enjoy the planning process. Any query, concern or request, regardless of how minor they may be, would be immediately seen to with a level of care and consummate professionalism that put our minds at ease every time. This allowed for our big day to exceed our expectations, and left us with a feeling that we got to truly experience our wedding without having any stress or worry over any of the proceedings throughout the day. From the beautiful ceremony, to the fabulous reception, the staff’s awareness and duty of care to any of our needs was incredibly hands on, while also executed in such a way that was deft and subtle. Many of our guests spoke to us about the staff and how fantastic they were. Our guests also spoke of the incredible space in which we were so lucky to get married in. Distinctive, classy and finding the perfect blend of traditional and practical, both our ceremony and reception felt relaxed and enjoyable throughout; as if we had meticulously planned every minor detail, though in reality it was Katie and the fine staff, that we genuinely cannot speak highly enough about. Finally, the food. We opted for the party style menu in which we were able to sample so much of the diverse and delicious menu which catered to all the needs and expectations of our guests, even beyond to those with particular tastes or dietary requirements. Although a non-traditional means of serving dinner at a wedding, everyone was given a unique experience, that went at a pace that suited each individual there. We look forward to eating this fantastic food again, when we inevitably make the journey back to Kilorglin to visit, catch up and enjoy another fantastic feast at this special venue. Katie, Cliodhna and all the staff at 10 Bridge Street, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day all the more special for us. Ewan and Molly.

When looking for wedding venues initially, we wanted something a bit more unique. As soon as we saw 10 Bridge Street and met Cliodhna and team, we were really impressed. They went all out during the menu tasting and offered plenty of advice and suggestions from their vast experience, which really helped with our planning. They were so open to tailoring the day to our needs and were very easy to deal with throughout the process. When we called in the day before to go over the final touches with Katie and Greg, we knew we were in safe hands. We had our ceremony and wedding reception at the venue and our guests raved about the food and how smoothly the day was run. Katie even gave a little pep talk to the best man before the speech! Thank you again to all the team for playing such an important role in our big day.

I can't say enough good things about 10 Bridge Street! From the first day we met our wedding coordinator Clíodhna, right through to the day itself, our experience went far beyond any expectations we had. We knew we didn't want the traditional church/hotel type of wedding, and since my husband is Jewish-Canadian, we wanted to make sure that the event felt like a real blend of cultures as opposed to a typical Irish wedding. As soon as we saw the venue and tasted the food at 10 Bridge Street we were completely sold! On the day itself, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating of us and took care of so many details we hadn't even thought of. Kate did an amazing job coordinating everything with our vendors and made us feel totally relaxed. It was as though everything was curated especially for us, and we never felt like we had to fit into the team's set schedule or idea of what a wedding is/should be. The food service was top class and so many of our guests commented on how lovely it was to experience 'family style' dining at a wedding as it made the dinner segment of the evening much more sociable. All that's left to say is a huge thanks to Kate, Clíodhna and all the team at 10 Bridge Street. If you are a couple considering having your wedding there, my advice is simple - book now!

We really had the wedding of our dreams in 10 Bridge Street. From start to end, it was just a day of laughing and relaxed good vibes. Naturally, our guests chipped in here but we also have Katie and the fabulous team to thank in large for this. We knew straight away we wanted to break out of the hotel/large venue scene and wanted somewhere that called for a more intimate and chilled ambiance. We happened upon this place by a sheer stroke of luck. Under the shrewd guidance of Katie, I can hand-on-heart say we didn't have one minute of panic or worry, the whole organisation was a breeze from start to end. We just couldn't wait for the day to come. From the wine/food tasting, to the ceremony itself, to Kingstons Bar&Terrace(reception drinks), to the divine food/table presentation, to the rocking after party, I just couldn't recommend 10 Bridge Street Highly enough. The acoustics were second to none, so there was no straining to hear any speeches and the whole place was bouncing when the band started! Another thing that was important to us, is that we weren't dragged away for 2 hours of labourious photo-taking in the middle of our day. Although there are fabulous lakes/view points close by, there are plenty photo opportunities within Killorglin itself, with plenty colourful graffiti art for a quirky photo (including one of the infamous King Puck!) And it goes without saying, the venue is a serious photo op in its own right (inside and out) The venue was a big talking point for people, and although we're only from Cork, so many people couldn't believe they hadn't seen the place before. They will certainly be back. If you're looking for something slightly off the beaten track, more personal and less copy-and-paste than your hotel wedding, but still retaining those small special bits of tradition, then I wouldn't look any further.

Our first visit to 10 Bridge Street was in October 2021 for a gig and we instantly knew it was somewhere special. The following day we met Cliodhna and booked our wedding for June 2022! If you are looking for something fun, different, and informal then look no further than 10 Bridge Street. The building is beautiful and the team is so accommodating. We had the best day from start to finish, from our very personal wedding ceremony where our friend acted as the officiant to the early hours of the following morning on the dancefloor! The staff were so helpful and even kept us all calm (and went in search of candles) during a 40-minute power cut due to the heavy rain! Most of our guests didn't even notice the outage as they were having such a good time! The food was amazing and the team handled the many dietary requirements so carefully. I couldn't recommend 10 Bridge Street more for a unique wedding day full of good fun and good food!

So many good things to say about 10 Bridge Street! The team and the venue were incredible in every way. Living in Australia and not having been back home due to Covid for 4 years we had to plan our wedding from overseas. We could not have been luckier with having Katie to help us organise so much, from initial advice all the way through to coordinating our other suppliers it made everything so relaxing. During our wedding day, Katie was never far away to make sure everything was running smoothly. The venue is just so special and the food was incredible, (not just because it was our wedding) it has to be some of the best food I've ever eaten at a wedding. All of our guests with dietary requirements were so carefully and thoughtfully looked after and spoke so highly of their meals afterwards too. The way the team transformed the venue from ceremony space to dining room to dancing floor was so seamless and proved no disruption to the proceedings. The staff were all fantastic and made sure everyone was taken care of, our guests have not stopped telling us how much they enjoyed the day. The team should be very proud of what they have created at 10 Bridge Street, a truly unique and blissful wedding venue and experience. If you want to have cherished memories of your special day then look no further than 10 Bridge Street!

We celebrated our wedding at 10 Bridge Street on the 1st of June. It was such a wonderful, beautiful day! We chose 10 Bridge Street as our wedding venue in January and from the very start Cliodhna was responsive and easy to deal with. We changed our wedding date a couple of times and each time Cliodhna was accommodating! The wedding day itself was blissful. The staff at 10 Bridge Street did such a great job setting up the venue for the ceremony and then seamlessly transformed it into our reception venue. Cliodhna and the team decorated the venue perfectly - down to little details. It all came together beautifully and looked perfect. The food was really good too! The team catered for all dietary requirements, which was great. We're so glad we picked 10 Bridge Street as our wedding venue. It's lovely and different than a hotel. We recommend 10 Bridge Street to anyone who is looking for something unique :)

We had our wedding in 10 Bridge Street at the end of May and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Everything from the first meeting to the big day went so smoothly. As a 'hands off' kind of couple we were delighted to be able to put our trust in Katie and have the day turn out so perfectly. She was incredibly helpful, flexible, responsive and patient. It was a joy to have her help us. The venue was absolutely stunning on the day, the layout for the meal and the dancing after was perfect and the food was outstanding. They really accommodated all our guests needs. I couldn't recommend the place or the staff highly enough. Such a beautiful and different space.

We recently had our ceremony and reception with 10 bridge street. We knew when we got engaged that we didn’t want a traditional wedding and were searching for a venue who could cater for something outside the box. 10 bridge street was exactly what we were looking for and the only venue we needed to visit. After Katie showed us around and talked us through their informal wedding day we knew it was the one for us. The planning and day was stress free thanks to Katie and all the staff. They accommodated all our requests and facilitated our friends and family to give us the ceremony of our dreams. Our drinks reception across the road which they arranged with Kingstons was so different compared to your typical wedding. Old man pub vibes! Erwin was a dream. Katie facilitated this. For food back in 10 bridge street the tapas and informal seating/standing arrangement made everyone at ease and mingle for the night. We had a range of dietary requirements which was no issue from vegan, gluten free to kosher just a few of the examples from a long list of dietary requests! Everyone raved about the food and were stuffed by the final round! Might be biased but it really was the best wedding we were ever at!

From our very first call to our last good night 10 Bridge St. couldn’t have made our day any better. Cliodhna and her team allowed us flexibility around our day. We had a pre ceremony drinks reception, a unique floor layout for our ceremony which allowed for a relaxed informal setting. To top all of this the food and service was beyond our expectations and there wasn’t a glass empty throughout the evening meal. In our opinion 10 Bridge St. is an outstanding venue with exceptional service.

After several attempts due to covid we finally got to have our wedding at sol y sombra which was the PERFECT venue from start to finish. It's stylish, romantic and intimate and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a truly magical setting. We had no issues whatsoever it was a smooth operation from the get go and we were always treated in a friendly manner along with true professionalism. The building itself makes for great pictures and inside with the glimmery candles and decor is the perfect backdrop for some great photo memories. We can't recommend it enough.

We had our wedding in Sol y Sombra at the start of October. It was amazing from start to finish. From the first moment we got in contact with Cliodhna nothing was too much trouble. She responded quickly to any questions we may have had and gave us loads of recommendations. We initially had booked for May for 100 people but had to change this due to Covid restrictions to October with around 40 of our close family and friends that were able to make it. Cliodhna was great to work with, professional, laid back and really knows what she is talking about. She eased our stresses and worries and made everything seem so easy and doable. The venue is stunning with its stained-glass windows and high ceilings. Our guests were blown away when they saw it. After our ceremony we went across the road to The Kingston bar which again was a fabulous venue for our reception drinks. The staff were great and we really enjoyed catching up with our friends and family in its cosy atmosphere. We had our gorgeous canapes from Sol y Sombra here and our band The Trips played. It was perfect. We then headed back to Sol y Sombra for our evening meal. The place looked amazing with candles and beautiful table arrangements. With the evening light coming through the stained-glass windows it was beautiful. The food and wine were delicious and the staff were great! The party started after dinner. The music sounded incredible in this unique venue. We really could not have asked for more. The dance floor was hopping and everyone had a brilliant time. We feel so lucky to have had our wedding in Sol y Sombra. We had the time of our lives! I literally cannot put into words what an amazing, unique and special venue this is! Paul and Maria.

We finally got married at Sol y Sombra in September, after changing the date twice due to covid. Katie was our coordinator and she was just excellent. Between us we managed to pull a small intimate wedding together in just 11 days. She helped us changed up the menu, get place names, help with the florist and even provided drinks and nibbles upstairs while we were off taking bridal party pics. Katie is very knowledgeable about weddings and what works and doesn't work within the venue. She even pulled out a needle and thread to fix my dress! We went with tapas style dinner and it was fab. Our guest still talk about the meal... Its so different to the regular 5 course wedding dinner. Overall, couldn't fault katie or the venue. Nothing is a problem! Would definitely recommend for future brides and grooms.

We got married in Thailand in January and wanted to celebrate with a big party when we got home with all our family and friends, we both love Kerry and decided to have our weekend of celebrations down there, it was really important for us that our party would have a relaxed and informal vibe in a beautiful and unique venue, with great food and great music. Sol y Sombra was the perfect venue for us, it's a beautifully restored church that's over 200 years old, a beautiful setting, the tapas and wine are delicious, the staff were so helpful and friendly, it was exactly the vibe and atmosphere we wanted for our wedding celebrations and our family and friends loved it just as much as we did, Katie and Cliodhna couldn't do enough for us and made everything so easy, laidback and fun, we couldn't recommend Sol Y Sombra enough, we had an amazing night, it's a great place to have your wedding. A big thank you to Katie, Clionadh and all the wonderful team in Sol Y Sombra for everything!!!

Every bride wants the perfect day but when you have two brides, the level of perfection rises to a whole new level. Sol y Sombra gave us everything we dreamt of and more. This venue has it all- the romance of the old church, the tingling acoustics created from the vaulted ceilings, the beautiful stain glass windows mixed with festival lights and disco ball really makes this venue truly unique and wonderful. The real stars are the team behind the venue. Cliodhna, Katie and Gorka delivered the perfect day. We wanted it all, but we got more. They are so professional in everything they do and helped us choose the right package that best suited our vision. They allowed us the freedom to be creative with the styling of the venue and fully supported our many musical requests throughout the day. We had our very own support team right from the very first day we sat down to book the venue, to that moment we stood outside waiting to walk up the aisle and say -I do. It is truly the most romantic and special place to say ‘I do’. After the ceremony we were smoothly ushered over to Kingston’s bar for our drinks reception. This was a very intimate candle lit space for all the gang to mingle and catch up whilst being treated to processo and canapés ‘All you need is love’ set the tone for the day but the real talking point were the 11 courses of divine tapas we shared. We cannot emphasis enough how incredible the food tasted and how much a conversation piece it was throughout the evening. Food was made for sharing and we shared and laughed and kept eating - course after course. Even the spud loving gang were pleasantly surprised. People are still talking to us about how amazing the food was. We danced the night away, in this incredibly atmospheric venue. Looking back now there is absolutely nothing that we would change, only a chance to do it all again. One bit of advice to anyone reading this, just book Sol y Sombra - it will exceed all your expectations and make your dream day a lasting memory for you and all your guests. Sarah and Catriona

We wanted our day to be 'OUR day' ,We wanted an informal celebration, a giant hug of love, surrounded by our family and friends, somewhere fun and funky , with incredible food ... we wanted a party and boy that's what we got ! From the minute we walked into the building it felt right! Sol y Sombra is stunning 200 year old church which has converted into an a simple yet tastefully decorated Tapas restuarant. As a refurbished church the building gave the father of the bride the opportunity to walk down a non religious aisle to a beautiful humanist ceremony (which ticked everyone's box) Aside from its entrance WOW factor what impressed us even more was the amazing staff. Clionadh and Katie who coordinated our wedding put us at ease at every single step of the way. We can honestly say that ever single time we dealt with them it was an absolute pleasure! We laughed our way through our wedding!!! It was so much fun!!! We never stressed any aspect of it. If we asked, we got! We had lots of silly questions all which were answered with a smile. We used all their local recommendations and could not fault one! We have never heard of a service as personal and faultless as what we received. We opted for a Tapas style meal and couldnt recommended it more, it is so sociable , we passed plates as we chatted and laughed , drank incredible wine (the restuarant imports in) and basked in the love of happy family and friends. We asked the question 'will there be enough if we go Tapas?' The answer .... we rolled bellies stuffed onto the dance floor!!!! Every single guest passed comment on the quality and quantity of food including our 2 Vegan guests who said they had never felt so welcome and well fed, EVER ! We danced till the wee hours in an intimate dancefloor under twinkling lights. It was fairytale , it was OUR fairytale! Thank you to Katie, Clionadh and the wonderful staff team in Sol Y Sombra you made our day!

I got married in Sol y Sombra on Friday just gone. From start to finish it was the day of my dreams. Katie, the wedding coordinator is amazing at her job. Her professionalism, attention to detail and passion are second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and she made it her mission to make sure myself and my husband had the best day of our lives. Katie thought of everything and filled me with confidence from our very first meeting. Katie stayed until the very end of the night to make sure everything ran smoothly which it did. She managed all my suppliers meaning I had nothing at all to worry about in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The venue itself is beautifully authentic. The ceremony set up was spectacular but the evening set up blew us and our guest away. The food was stunning and generous. So many guests remarked that it was the best wedding and best wedding venue they had ever been to. From the music playing as my guests walked up the driveway to the stunning terrace it was just perfection. I cannot recommend sol y Sombra highly enough and I know it will forever hold a special place in all our hearts. A wedding guest even returned to Sol y Sombra the day after the wedding for dinner. That says it all! Thank you so much to Katie and her fantastic dream team.

We had the best time at our wedding. There is no greater compliment to Sol y Sombra. It was different, it was easy and most of all it was really good fun. We had our reception in The Bianconi and the entire wedding party merrily trotted up the hill to Sol y Sombra. We wouldn't have had a wedding only for Cliodhna. She was out guardian angel - gentle guiding us in the right direction while at all times listening to our ideas and suggestions. With a small baby we were always made to feel so welcome each time we visited the venue for various meetings. Andreas was particularly excellent. The venue itself is just fabulous. We lit it up with candles, love and laughter on that dark December night. We had feast of delicious winter food and the wine, oh my, the wine hmmmmm! Our band was a gamble but because of the uniqueness of the venue , they almost brought the roof in. The craic! We look back on our wedding and smile. Thank you Cliodhna and the team at Sol y Sombra.

My husband and I were having a different sort of wedding, we were getting married in Dublin on a Thursday and having a small dinner for immediate family. Then, on the Saturday we wanted to throw a party for all our extended family and friends. We met with Cliodhna and explained our idea to her and she got it straight away. Ever since our first meeting she was a dream to deal with. Personable, funny, warm and so competent, nothing we asked seemed like too much trouble. Cliodhna and her team in Sol Y Sombra helped us turn our vague idea of a party into a thundering reality, and we all had an absolute blast! Instead of a sit down meal we decided to serve finger-food style tapas to guests. I was little anxious that maybe people wouldn't get enough to eat, but Cliodhna knows her business! She helped us choose the tapaps selection, offering a few suggestions re: best pairings of food etc. The food streamed out of the kitchen from 8pm and everyone guest was amazed by the service and quality. Quite a few told me it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! And it kept coming, we couldn't believe it, people had more than enough to eat! 2 of my friends are coeliacs and they were treated royally. Staff quietly asked me to point them out, and once they knew who they were, they receieved special attention and ate as well as all our other guests. We also had 6 children ranging in age in attendance, one with a severe nut allergy. Again., no problem for the staff in Sol Y Sombra! The poarty in Killoglin was truly one of the best night's of my life, and most of that is down to the talent, professionalism, skill and warmth of Cliodhna and her amazing staff. I can't recommend Sol Y Sombra enough, for any type of party. If you're having a Kerry Wedding, check them out! You and your guests won't be disappointed!

We cannot recommend Sol y Sombra enough if you want a wedding with a difference. We were looking for a unique venue where the emphasis would be on good food and the party! Cliodhna and Katie were a dream to work with from the beginning. Any requests were accommodated without any hassle whatsoever. We were slightly nervous about serving tapas to our wedding guests, especially for those who had never been to a tapas restaurant before. But it was perfect, everyone was so well fed (the few vegetarians and coeliacs among our guests were raving about how well they were looked after). The selection of tapas to choose from is fantastic with a great emphasis on local and Irish food (the tasting was a lot of fun!). Cliodhna was a great help when it came to narrowing down our choice of dishes to what would work well together. They were incredibly accommodating around any decor requests we had as we tried to put our own personal stamp on things. They were very organised and had all our supplier details (band, cakes, flowers etc) so everything ran smoothly on the day. It's such a beautiful venue with a great atmosphere and the perfect place for a real party, the dancefloor was full all night! There are also some great accommodation options at different price points (B&B to luxury guesthouses) within a 1 minute walk making things nice and easy for all wedding guests. We can't fault the place, we simply cannot recommend Sol y Sombra enough. We had the best day of our lives here.

We had our wedding ceremony and party in Sol Y Sombra in July of this year. It was without a doubt the best choice for us and exceeded our expectations. When we began the planning process with Cliodhna, we were overseas, as we were in the middle of a move back to Kerry. Cliodhna was so accommodating to us and we knew we were in good hands. Cliodhna's professional and friendly nature helped us feel at ease and she gave excellent, honest advice and direction. Cliodhna went above and beyond and even provided suggestions on other wedding services, such a band, celebrants, cake etc, as all this was very unknown to us, having just moved home. The packages on offer, are of excellent quality and caters for everything. Sol Y Sombra are very flexible with these packages as we did tweak and customize ours a little and caters to every budget. The venue is just perfect for a romantic and intimate ceremony and both my partner, I and our guests were in awe of how the venue was set up for the ceremony and afters. We had a total of 85 guests and they were all raving about the food quality and portion sizes. The staff were so friendly and professional, that it just added to the relaxed and stress free environment we wanted to create on the day. I really could not recommend Sol Y Sombra enough, I was so happy that I chose this as our venue and I did not have a single worry or concern during the whole process. Cliodhna was a pleasure to deal with and always contactable for a chat or advice, really going above and beyond for her brides and grooms.

We had our wedding and reception at Sol y Sombra this May on a beautiful summers day and we couldn't have asked for more. The entire experience was a dream from day one. Cliodhna and her team went above and beyond to help us make our day special and we wouldn't change a thing. The food, the venue and the atmosphere were all exactly what we were looking for. All of the feedback from the guests was that it was a really unique day. You genuinely felt like Cliodhna really wanted you to have a fantastic time and she did everything she could, to make that happen. Cliodhna listened very patiently to all of our requests in the run up to the wedding and she helped us bring them to reality. We couldn't give a higher recommendation.

We got married in Sol y Sombra in April 2018 and cannot reccommend this venue enough. From the day we met Cliodhna she was amazing to deal with. She always got back to us so quickly and in the days leading up to the wedding was so helpful with useful advice and ideas. The day itself was amazing. This is such a unique venue and the perfect place to hold our ceremony and reception. Cliodhna was on hand all day and every thing went perfectly. The food was amazing (guests are still talking about it), the wine was flowing and everyone had a wonderful time! If you are looking for somewhere a little bit different for your special day this you won't find better that Sol y Sombra xxx

Sol y Sombra hosted our wedding party in November 2017. From the first time we met Cliodhna a few months previous, she put us at ease, she is so professional and calm. She did an amazing job decorating the place and was totally accommodating to all of our needs. The food and the service was just perfect. The venue is such beautiful, all our guests were raving about it after.

Dear Rachel & Peter, Thank you for the lovely review. It was a pleasure and so much fun working with you throughout the process of planning your wedding. From the beginning, you said you wanted the celebration to be just that - a great big party - and so it was:-) From the fabulous informal tapas to the flowing Prosecco, disco balls, photobooth tents, festival bunting and Espresso Martinis it was a great inspiration for future, fun, informal wedding parties. Looking forward to seeing you both again soon, Kind Regards, Cliodhna

I recently had my wedding at Sol y Sombra, and the day was absolutely perfect. I had a romantic, intimate and rustic wedding in mind, and this venue was 100% conducive to my vision. We had about 65 guests, but the venue can cater for more if needed. Everyone was blown away by the venue, it truly is one of a kind with its vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows. It is cosy and other-worldly. You feel like you are tucked away from the world. Clíodhna, the owner, is a dream to work with. She was so responsive to all of my queries, and I made a lot of queries :) She was so patient with me, answering all my questions and meeting any demands I had with a smile. I had loads of decorations to display and was a bit apprehensive that it wouldn't be done right. I needn't have worried, Clíodhna and the rest of the staff arranged everything perfectly and made it seem like it was no trouble at all (which I'm sure was not the case) The food and wine were beautiful on the day. Clíodhna had emailed me a varied list of choices. It was so hard to narrow it down. We went for a beef vs seabass choice in the end and it was delicious. Everyone was commenting on how generous Sol y Sombra were with the prosecco, wine and other drinks, not to mention the plentiful supply of food throughout the day and night eg.canapes on arrival and later some late night nibbles. There are different packages to cater to different budgets and Clíodhna is very flexible and relaxed. The staff here are also very flexible and friendly. Nothing is too much to ask. We had our ceremony and our party here, going next door to Nick's bar for the drinks reception while the turnover was being done. Nick's is also a lovely spot. We actually had our speeches in there and it worked out brilliantly. I would recommend this venue wholeheartedly. I am pretty sure that a few of the guests from our wedding are now thinking about booking it for their own weddings. I only wish I could do it all again.

Thanks for your lovely words Ashley and for sharing them with other potential brides and grooms. It was a pleasure working with you on your wedding. All your lovely touches (autumn arrangements, pumpkins on the hill, drift wood pieces and wine bottle lights) made it all so personal for your intimate celebration. I hope we'll see you and Ciaran again very soon, Stay in touch Cliodhna x

The Venue is so beautiful and if you're looking for something a little funky and different, this is the place for you. Cliodhna from Sol Y Sombre was an amazing host she could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She was really flexible with the packages...adding extras/taking bits out...and the best part I found was that literally everything is included (they thought of everything). I was so nervous and she was just brilliant and totally put me at ease. The staff are all so friendly and I really could not have asked for more. We chose a tapas style menu which was different and worked really well. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sol Y Sombre to anyone who is looking for that extra special place.

Dear Storm, Thanks for sharing your lovely review of your wedding day with us. We do try to include everything in our package but at the same time keep them flexible to allow guests to chop and change based on what they want. It was refreshing how you and Kelvin ensured fun was the vital element in everything on your day from the ceremony (officiated by your funny friend Keith - I hope that sealed box of Hendrix Gin is still sealed!) to the photos (Jam Shoots), the shared tapas and the dj session after (Conor Feeney). You and Taran did a fab job with decor. I look forward to seeing you both when you're back in Killorglin in 2018. Kind Regards, Cliodhna

I have to say .. what an amazing place to have a wedding .. Cliodhna was simply the most professional and friendly person you could ever deal with .. truly created a day that we will never forget. We held the wedding service and celebrations on site and everyone related to us how wonderful it all was. The planning phase was so detailed and we felt like we were the only ones getting married there for the year .. nothing was left to chance. We were delighted when we returned to have our anniversary dinner this year and the great memories created on that special day with all our family and friends came flooding back ... thank you so much for everything you did for us ..... We had a party of 100. The setting was perfect and magical. Food and service were first class. Cliodhna dealt with every aspect of the arrangements in a professional manner and nothing was left to chance. We sat down with her on many occasions and she was always at the end of the phone to reassure us. Best day ever.
