Alternative Wedding Venue in Kerry | Candlelit Church in Killorglin

This isn’t a hotel wedding hidden away on private grounds - your day unfolds in a real Kerry town. A candlelit 19th-century church, a pub across the street, and a celebration that flows from ceremony to dinner to a full-on party.

10 Bridge Street is a unique wedding venue in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, just 20–25 minutes from Killarney. Set inside a beautifully restored Church of Ireland building dating from 1816, we specialise in relaxed, personal and alternative weddings full of atmosphere, great food and character.

We’re best suited to couples looking for something a little different: a non-hotel wedding venue, an intimate celebration, a destination-style Kerry wedding, or a lively party where the formalities don’t take over the fun.

Couples can choose from three flexible styles of celebration:

Classic Wedding – a seated wedding celebration with a beautifully prepared four or five-course meal.

Best of Both – an intimate ceremony and meal with close family, followed by a bigger evening celebration.

Wedding Party – a relaxed, high-energy celebration with generous finger food or buffet-style dining, music and dancing at its heart.

Ceremonies can take place beneath our historic stained glass rose window, followed by drinks in a traditional Irish pub just across the street while we transform the venue for dinner and dancing. Later, the lights dim, the music starts, and the space becomes a proper party venue.

What makes 10 Bridge Street different is the atmosphere and flow. Your ceremony, food, bar, terrace and dancefloor all work together in one character-filled space, so guests stay close, the energy builds naturally, and the day feels personal rather than formulaic.

If you’re looking for a relaxed, non-traditional wedding venue in Kerry with warmth, personality and a bit of magic, we’d love to hear your plans.

We got married in 10 Bridge Street in October 2025. From start to finish Cliodhna and her team were phenomenal. The food was outstanding, the venue itself is stunning and the service was attentive and considered.
Guests were super complimentary of the food and the staff.
If I was to go back and do it all again, I would without a shadow of a doubt go with 10 Bridge Street all over again.

The whole day just flowed. Every moment felt easy, natural, and joyful. Even the timing was perfect without ever feeling rushed or overly structured. And somehow, they even kept the bar open well past our bedtime… at which point I think I was the one telling them to gently encourage people to go to bed!

I recently attended a wedding at 10 Bridge Street and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. Before the wedding, I did a lot of searching to get a sense of the venue—and nothing I found really captured how special it is in person.

This isn’t your typical hotel or function room. It feels completely unique—full of character.

What really stood out was the atmosphere. It struck the perfect balance between elegant and laid-back, making it feel like a truly memorable experience rather than a standard wedding setup. As a guest, it felt intimate, welcoming, and genuinely different from any other venue I’ve been to.

If you’re looking for something a bit out of the ordinary—something that doesn’t feel like a copy-and-paste wedding venue—this place is absolutely worth considering.

We had our wedding at 10 Bridge Street last September, and we are still not over how special the entire experience was.

From the very beginning, Cliodhna made us feel so welcome and supported throughout the planning process. She was always on hand to offer advice, from recommending trusted vendors at the start to accommodating our requests in the lead-up to the day itself.

What drew us to 10 Bridge Street was the venue’s atmosphere. There’s such a unique energy to the space, it feels incredibly intimate, warm, and full of character. The light pouring through the stained glass creates the most beautiful glow and makes the venue feel truly magical. It has a way of making everyone feel instantly relaxed, connected, and present, which was exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.

The food also deserves a special mention. We opted for the tapas-style menu and it was incredible. People are still talking about it now, especially the prawns!

I chose not to hire a wedding planner, and while we organised our own vendors, the team at 10 Bridge Street was incredibly hands-on on the day itself. They ensured everything ran smoothly behind the scenes, supported our family and guests, helped coordinate logistics with our florist and six-piece band, and made the entire day feel seamless.

Because of their care, professionalism, and attention to detail, we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. It felt personal, meaningful, and completely reflective of who Zygi and I are as a couple. We honestly couldn’t recommend 10 Bridge Street enough.

This unique venue allows you to create a space where friends and family share life long memories. The venue is an old church, stain glass windows, amazing floors, old ceiling beams, and the a charming cosy outdoor Terrace, where fresh flowers are seeded and twinkle lights light the paths. Summer or winter, hail or sunshine, this venue will cater for every look, theme, or unique style, but most of all allow the venue to be the venue, it doesn't need anything, less is more sometimes! The Professional friendly warm "good craic" Wedding Planner/Owner/Co Coordinator all rounder, was a great honor to work with, and ensured the day was effortless. Wine poured generously, the food service was slightly delayed ( due to human error only ), but the QUALITY of food really and truly exceeded our guests needs/demands and over all fussy pots, that every wedding has, the food was in my professional opinion, was 5* Restaurant quality where Michlin Chefs and Food Editors would be wonderfully amazed. Excellent quality. Tapas or Traditional wedding menu, fun or formal, 120pax or 50pax, This venue will cater for all your hopes, dreams and memories. Thank You.

In April 2022 we got married in Mexico and had our wedding party in 10 Bridge Street after a few attempts due to COVID. Cliodhna was beyond kind and helpful while we were changing dates over the two years. The venue is such a beautiful setting and when we were planning our party it was the only place that we wanted. Our day couldn't have run any smoother with the help of Cliodhna and her team. We had an informal wedding party with finger tapas and the food was nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend anyone to have a wedding at 10 Bridge Street, the venue is beautiful and Cliodhna is the perfect wedding coordinator to help you plan your special day. We had the perfect party and all our guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was definitely worth the wait.
