Athlone Springs Hotel

We had our wedding at the Athlone Springs Hotel in April and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

We stayed and got ready at the hotel the night before, and the staff were just absolutely fabulous and so accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was made really easy and relaxed for us.

In the lead-up to the wedding, Estella and Tara were both brilliant to deal with – really helpful, organised, and reassuring, and they made the whole planning process so much smoother.

On the day itself, everything ran perfectly. The set-up was really, really good and looked beautiful, with great attention to detail throughout.

The food was also excellent – Chef Martin did an amazing job, and so many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.

To all the staff who looked after everything on the day, Ye were fantastic – calm, organised, and completely on top of everything, which meant we could just relax and enjoy every moment.

Overall, it was an incredible experience. So many guests commented on how lovely the Athlone Springs Hotel was, and the outdoor ceremony was a real highlight that made the day even more special.

We honestly couldn’t recommend the hotel highly enough for a wedding – it was everything we hoped for and more. Ash & Aaron ❤

I had my wedding here on the 4th of April, both the ceremony and the reception.
From the first enquiry, to the day after the wedding, the team were genuinely amazing.
Anything I asked was never an issue, and they guided me where possible.
A huge shoutout to James, Tara and Estella, and all the serving staff and bar staff.
We had 173 at our wedding, and anyone we have spoken to since has said the hotel was amazing, and so professional.
Food is something that people will talk about after a wedding whether good or bad, and everyone raved about not just the main meals, but also the drinks reception and the evening food. Noone left hungry and everybody loved it!!
Everything ran so smoothly on the day, which meant we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment. The attention to detail, the atmosphere, and the professionalism of the entire team made it a day we’ll never forget. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue and would highly recommend it to any couple planning their wedding.
Thank you all so much, wish we could do it all over again!

The whole team including Nicole, Paul, chef Martin and all the staff treated us like VIP's in the lead up to the wedding. The day of the wedding was unbelievable. We had our ceremony in the hotel followed by arrivals reception amd then the evening reception. The decor, the lighting, the setting truly had the wow factor. The food was delicious and we have received numerous comments on how good it was. The ham Station went down a treat at the arrivals reception so big thanks to Martin for recommending it. Nicole was on hand in the lead up and never hesitated in answering any questions. We cannot recommend the hotel enough. It truly was a day to remember.

We got Married in Athlone Springs on the August Bank Holiday and we can't say enough about how happy we are that we chose it.

First of all we are an Irish couple who live in Germany so when we started to plan our wedding we didn't have much time to view places. Athlone Springs really caught our eye due to it's value, good reviews and central location. We were impressed with the wedding brochure and the pictures were exactly what we were looking for.
We had arranged for family to visit the weekend of their wedding event to view the rooms, speak to the staff and taste the food. First thing that really impressed us was how helpful the staff were with our family and they also spoke to us on FaceTime to go through their many options.

From this we got a very good feeling and went ahead with the booking. From this day forward everyone was so helpful, as we planned our perfect day. We originally dealt with Sally who was so great to work with. When she went on maternity leave she passed the baton to Nicole. While we had some reservations about dealing with someone new, the transition was seamless and we felt safe in Nicole's hands. Every question and query was answered very quickly and honestly. Also the advice offered was very much welcomed and was priceless.

When we went for the final food tasting we fell in love with the food. We had the opportunity to meet head chef Martin and talk through the options. Although I was very happy with the menu they had put together after speaking with Martin, he came up with a few of his own ideas and all of a sudden our menu looked something very different but it was exciting.

Our wedding was on the Saturday and we arrived on the Friday evening to check in. We felt very welcomed by all the staff as did our family and friends. Nicole was on holidays for the weekend (again this worried us) and she had Michelle looking after us for the weekend. Again the transition was seamless. We cannot speak more highly of Michelle. She was available throughout the whole Friday and Saturday. Nothing was an issue.
We had both our ceremony and reception at the hotel. The ceremony room was set up on Friday and we absolutely loved it. It was so well done it just added to our excitement and again made us feel like the Athlone Springs was the right choice. It was so intimate and beautifully decorated.

Everything went according to plan on the day. We never once had to worry about anything as all the staff had it covered. The arrivals reception was so well laid out and everyone loved the food and drinks on offer. If trying to decide, go with the Chef Served Honey Baked Ham. Everyone loved it.

The reception room was beautifully decorated. The dinner was amazing and the service from all the staff was so professional and our guests all commented with how impressed they were with the staffs friendliness and willingness to help. Martin absolutely nailed the food. We loved it and so did our guests. We got so many positive remarks on it. The party went late into the night and everyone had so much fun. All thanks to the Athlone Springs.

We also opted for a BBQ for the 2nd day. Unfortunately due to the Irish weather it couldn't be held in the Secret Garden. However the food was nailed again and all our guests loved it.

Thank you again to the Athlone Springs. Most notibly Sally, Nicole, Michelle and Martin you out done yourselves and we could not have asked for better. The age profile of the staff in the hotel is young but do not let that deter you. They are very professional and helpful, always with a smile. From the front desk to the bar and also the leisure center. Everyone was so impressive.

Staff 10/10 So friendly and Helpful
Bedrooms 10/10 Comfortable, spacious and clean
Food 10/10 Martin is a superstar
Hotel 10/10

We cannot recommend the Athlone Springs Hotel more for your wedding. Thank you again from Billy and Aoife.

?Thank you so much to all the team at the Athlone Springs Hotel, we had our special day on September 2nd 2023. We had our wedding ceremony outside in the secret garden and it was more than what we could have dreamed of. Both Sally and Lauren our wedding co-ordinators looked after us so well from the time we booked right up until the day before our big day. They were so accommodating to all our guests. James the hotel manager looked after us the day of the wedding, we couldn't have asked for any better of a service. The food was amazing, we partied until the early hours. Thank you for giving us such an amazing day to start our life's off as husband and wife.?

?We cannot recommend the Athlone Springs Hotel enough. From the first day we viewed the Hotel and were shown around by the lovely Mark, we just know it was the right venue for us! We then met Sally the wedding coordinator and everything we asked for was no problem for them. We met James at our meal tasting and his service was second to none, any changes we wanted were no problem. Martin the Head Chef also came out and spoke with us after our meal tasting to ensure we were happy with everything. Our Wedding Day ran so smoothly thanks to Sally, James and their amazing team. The food was so tasty and plentiful and the service was amazing, all our guests were very impressed. The drinks reception and ballroom were decorated beautifully. We really are delighted we choose the Athlone Springs for our special day.?

From the moment we viewed the athlone springs hotel there was not one thing we could fault , Sally was our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely amazing no matter what kind of question we had be it a big one or a silly one it was always answered almost straight away! When the wedding day arrived the whole team in the hotel were absolutely fantastic the day was so magical we were so lucky that not one thing went wrong or anything! From the bar staff to the floor staff they were so friendly all our guests could not compliment them enough after the whole weekend of celebrations. We wish we could do it all again ???? I'd definitely recommend this hotel it's absolutely beautiful ????

We recently had our wedding reception at the Athlone Springs Hotel. To say we were delighted with the service received would be an understatement! Staff always went above and beyond for us and our guests at all times! From the lead up to the wedding and the days after, everything was dealt with the best customer service and professionalism! Our guests are still raving about the fantastic service and kindness received. Sally our wedding co-ordinator was always very quick to answer any questions or queries we had with planning the big day and always very helpful with tips and advice! Not to mention how beautifully decorated the rooms were down to the smallest details - exactly how we wanted! A very huge thank you to James the food and beverage manager who always went out of his way to help me with the wedding nerves and ensured everything went smoothly! We really appreciated him ordering in a non-alcoholic beverage that is not usually in stock for an expectant guest of ours, she appreciated this so much! The service received by him and his team was second to none, having worked in the same industry I was extremely impressed! Food was absolutely amazing and great portion sizes, still talked about by everyone best soup and vol au vents around! Over all, anything that we wanted/needed was taken care of and nothing was too much to ask of all staff, everyone greeted us with smiles and congratulations the entire weekend and were always on hand to help wherever needed. All of our friends and family have dubbed this hotel the best they have ever been to and the best wedding they've attended! We can not wait to continue to return here for our anniversaries and see everyone again!

?We couldn't recommend Athlone Springs Hotel enough! From the moment we made contact the wedding coordinators were so attentive and responsive. We first fell in love with the idea of having our wedding in the Athlone Springs Hotel after attending an engagement party for some friends. The room was decorated so beautifully, the food was amazing and the staff were so friendly. We were very lucky that the wedding date we wanted was available so booked asap, and that's where our journey to our perfect wedding started. Any questions we had, requests or changes were promptly responded to and sorted by the amazing wedding coordination team. The menu tasting was absolutely fantastic, we even got to meet the chef on the day and discuss any changes we wanted. When it came to the actual day of the wedding staff were there from the minute we arrived to make sure the day ran smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had our entire wedding in the hotel (ceremony, reception, dinner and photos), it did not disappoint. From the beautifully decorated ceremony room to the mouth watering food at the dinner, our guests never stopped talking about it! We were well and truly spoiled and looked after from start to finish. We couldn't recommend the Athlone Springs Hotel enough. We would love to thank the super kind staff for all of their hard work leading up to the wedding and in the days that followed.?

?Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives and the Athlone Springs played a huge part in making the day so special. From beginning to end they were so helpful and were committed to making our day so special. Louise our wedding co-ordinator was always available to answer any questions we had before our big day and helped us plan our amazing day down to the very last detail. James was absolutely amazing and anything we asked for or needed done on the day he did without hesitation, and we are so thankful that we had his assistance on the day. Our day ran so smoothly because of James and his team. The hotel staff were second to none, they were so polite, helpful and skilled in their positions. The food was absolutely perfect and all guests commented on the night about how nice the food was. Guests also commented on how nice the staff, the hotel and the ballroom was. We will be forever grateful to the Athlone Springs for making our day so perfect and for the memories we will cherish forever.?

From start to finish we never for a second doubted that we hadn't picked the right venue in choosing the Athlone Springs Hotel. The team were just fantastic and we cannot thank them enough. My father who is a nervous speaker was invited into the hotel by James & Lauren in the lead up the wedding to practice his speech in the room which I just thought was a touch of class and I can confirm the speeches went down without a hitch. During our wedding tasting Martin (Head Chef) came out and spoke to us once we had finished the tasting and went through the menu with us and we made a few small changes at this point. Our guests did nothing but rave about the food and service and my own grandmother is still talking about the beef. Thank you Athlone Springs.

?We absolutely loved our day from the minute we walked into the hotel, we could see all the little details and love put into our wedding. Nothing went unnoticed by us. The hotel went above and beyond to make our day special and I couldn't fault one thing. The food, the presentation and the staff were all absolutely amazing. We wish we could do it all again. Thank you all so much.?

?We had our wedding in May 2022 in the Athlone Springs Hotel and we honestly couldn't say enough good things about Louise, Sally and all the team. From our very first meeting they could not have been more helpful; nothing was ever an issue. Their attention to detail is second to none from the personalised menu matching our invites to the room decoration and lighting. The food was exceptional and many of our guests are still talking about it. All of the staff in the hotel were so helpful and friendly and definitely added to our day. We are incredibly grateful to all the staff and had the most amazing day.?

We got married Saturday April 30th 2022 and had our reception in Athlone Springs Hotel. We were in contact with Sally and met with both Sally and Aidan before the big day. They listened to every little thing that we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. The ballroom was beautifully decorated. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We can't thank chef Martin enough. Aidan checked in with us very discreetly during the day. The attention to detail was top class. We got 5 star food and service. We had the best day and are very grateful to all of the staff. We are looking forward to celebrating other special occasions in Athlone Springs Hotel.

?After postponing our wedding because of the pandemic from New Years Eve 2020 to Christmas of 2021, we thought our day would go ahead without a hitch but covid had other plans yet again. We were on our way back to Ireland from New York when we heard of the new restrictions and within 9 days we had to change venue and completely reorganise our whole wedding.

The help and assistance that Aidan, Sally and all of the staff at Athlone Springs Hotel awarded to us was second to none. We were beyond lucky with how well we were treated. Aidan and Sally are a powerhouse and work so well together. From the day we met them, they had everything reorganised for us even down to personalised menu's that were made using our original wedding invite. Sally and Aidan were always just a call or text away for all the little questions we had in the days leading up to the wedding. We can only imagine what else they would of been able to pull off if they had more time than we had given them.

The day itself was amazing and that is all thanks to the wonderful staff at Athlone Springs. The food, ambience, service and atmosphere was all incredible. We would recommend this hotel to anyone for their wedding.

A special mention also to Pat & Una McDonagh who helped to accommodate us aswell.

To say we are happy that we had our wedding at the Athlone Springs Hotel is an understatement. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to everyone there. We had the most amazing day

The Athlone Springs Hotel was absolutely 1st class from start to finish. Nothing was a problem and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. They really made the wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable.

We got married on Friday August 20th 2021 and had our reception in Athlone Springs Hotel. From the moment we arrived until we left there was no stone left unturned. The food was delicious both on the wedding day and the second day BBQ in their secret garden! The staff were incredibly friendly and really added to the day!
Aidan, Mark, Martin & All the staff went above and beyond to make our day so special and we cannot thank them or recommend them enough.

I really wouldn't know where to start. From booking our wedding to the wedding day it was an absolute breeze and that's all down to Sally the wedding coordinator. She is a wizard at what she does. The day went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff. Food was top class. And service was unbelievable. There is nothing I would change about the athlone springs. With only 46 people at out wedding due to covid restrictions it felt like 200 with the way they had the venue set up for us. We had day 2 there aswell and had the function room to ourselves. Bbq was 10/10. Thanks so much for one of the best day of our lives.

We had the most magical day from start to finish. Sally was just brilliant, she really made our day. I can't speak highly enough of all the staff in the athlone springs they really went above and beyond. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The most amazing day . From start to finish Sally was there with us in every step of the pre planning, planning and ensured we had the perfect day.Aidan and team were so professional and obliging ,could not ask for more.

We had our wedding in June 2021 and our day in the Springs was absolutely fantastic. From the initial contact the wedding coordinator Sally, was outstanding. She couldn't do enough for us and was in constant contact with help/guidance and to answer any questions.
The d?cor was second to none on our day- all as standard for weddings in the hotel. The service was excellent, a very personalised experience. The main highlight apart from the d?cor and experience was the food. Without a doubt the best by far, our guests were very impressed. We were also thrilled to have a second day BBQ in the garden, again the food incredible.
A beautiful hotel and great service, highly recommended.

The staff was absolutely amazing nothing was a problem , our day went above and beyond our expectations , the decor food drink the hotel rooms were just Fabulous I've never been at a wedding where the staff were as amazing they could not have done enough for us I'd highly recommend to anybody getting married if possible have it in the athloen springs , they were able to accommodate from toddlers to elders and made sure everything ran smooth and no problem with anything we asked for even on the day the kids changed their minds on what was on the menu and their was no problem .

Athlone springs were exceptional to work with, the hotel is amazing and they are so welcoming. We were very late booking due to pandemic and failure of our previous hotel to go ahead with the day. The athlone springs were so accommodating and assisted us in every way they could. What we thought would be so stressful was so relaxed and we have decided and future get together we organise, whether christenings, or birthdays, we will be having there. We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you

This hotel was perfect for our wedding, Nicola couldn't be more helpful. The only reason I've knocked one star off in two places is because on the day the manager played the wrong song for me walking down the aisle and the song I had picked meant alot to me so I was upset over this, also some of our guests and bridal party thought the food was very slow to come out which resulted in guests leaving their tables between courses as there seemed to be a huge gap between courses, this may have been a once off thing though, but apart from those 2 things our day was perfect and I would recommend the Athlone Springs to anyone and as I said already Nicola is fantastic and willing to help you in anyway. We had a civil ceremony there and the room was decorated beautifully as was the room for our reception.

I can highly recommend the Athlone Springs Hotel as the ultimate wedding venue. From start to finish, the hotel staff were second to none and with a dedicated wedding co-ordinator always on hand, you simply couldn't go wrong! We loved the venue so much, a large number of us stayed for the night following our wedding, another tremendous night was had!

We just wanted to say a huge ?Thank You? to the staff and management at the Athlone Springs Hotel in particular Nicola Nestor who made both the lead up and the actual day run so smoothly. From the time we arrived at the hotel until we left after lunch the following day the staff could not have done enough for us. We cannot recommend the Athlone Springs Hotel enough. Our guests still haven't stopped talking about the quality of the food and the service. So thank you again for making the best day of our lives even better.

Nicola,
Just dropping you a quick line to say thank you so much for all your help on the day of our wedding and in the run up to it. Everyone commented on the service and efficiency on the day and found all the staff really friendly. You were a pleasure to work with and we will be recommending you and your hotel to family and friends in the future.

2010 was a great year for us and this climaxed on the 27th August when we got married and had our wedding reception at the Athlone Springs Hotel. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for making our day unforgettable. The greatest compliment we can pay you and your staff is that you done exactly ?what it said on the tin?. The details we agreed with you for the day were carried out to perfection and with no hidden extras and in cases you went beyond the call of duty.

Thanks again for a magical day

Nicola
Just a quick note to thank you once again for all your help with the big day. I don't think it could have gone any better. Not one compliant did we hear about anything to do with the hotel it really was a fantastic day. So thank you and all the staff for making it as wonderful as it was.

Nicola

Many thanks for all your help and hard work leading up to our Wedding. You were fantastic to deal with. We were delighted with Our Day. Thanks also to the rest of the staff for helping to bring it all together on the day. Everyone was raving about the hotel, meal rooms etc?

Just a quick email to say thanks for all your help. Everyone had a great day and the food was fab. People are still talking about the service and staff on the day. Credit to you and thanks for all your help.

We just wanted to say a big ?Thank You? to Nicola for making our day so special. Everything went so smoothly on the day and that's all down to your hard work. All of our guests had great praise for the hotel. I would highly recommend anyone to book their wedding with you at the Athlone Springs.
