From start to finish Sile and her team in Breaffy were exceptional. The planning process was so smooth and professional. The day itself was absolute perfection, completely relaxed and great fun. A particular shout out to Oisin on reception who greeted us so warmly when we arrived the evening before the wedding, and Waylon and Darren who played a blinder in the residence bar.

Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for. The staff at Breaffy are wonderful, they are kind, friendly and incredibly helpful.
The food was exceptional- not only the food at the tasting or on the wedding day, but in both restaurants the food was fab.
Our guests were well looked after and are still raving about the hotel.
We loved it all so much we went back 3 weeks after the wedding for another stay!

What a venue! Everything went perfectly! Can't recommend enough everything was done so well but the staff were outstanding friendly professional just highly recommend! Our wedding co-ordinator was Sheila and she was unreal we had so many guests comment on how great the staff were especially sheila just above and beyond!

We are from Derry in the North of Ireland and opted to have an Irish Destination Wedding so it had a holiday feel for the weekend. We loved the West Coast of Ireland, I wanted a Castle vibe that still had loads for the kids to enjoy. Breaffy House ticked all the boxes, it was the first venue we viewed and knew straightaway that it was perfect for us. Jade took us for the initial viewing and sold everything to us perfectly. Sheila took everything from there once we had booked the wedding, she was dealt with us with the utmost professionalism but really made us feel at ease. Our menu tasting was the most lovely experience and it was so hard to choose which dishes to have on the day as everything was delicious. Christina and Oisin in Reservations where excellent and everyone was so happy with their rooms, how spacious they were and how comfortable the beds where, check in went flawlessly and the reception staff had so much patience with the kids playing and coming and going to the mini golf and football pitch.
For the actual wedding from our guests arrival and welcome drinks on the Thursday until we left on the Monday everything was perfect 10/10.
The bridal room for getting was very spacious, loads of natural light perfect for getting make up applied and hair done, it was so relaxed having the breakfast and tea /coffee served there and we were treated so well. Sheila was there every step if the way to ensure all guests had left for the Chapel on time and on to the coach before I made my way downstairs to leave. When we returned for the reception everything set up perfectly. Denis was fantastic playing the tunes and the atmosphere was electric, the food and drinks where 10/10. All our guests said it was the nicest food they ever had at a wedding. The cellar for champagne was a fabulous touch to decompress after the dinner. The venue grounds were stunning for pictures, the band has us dancing into the wee hours and our day was perfect. Everyone had fun all weekend from the babies to the elderly. Our day 2 BBQ was delicious and perfect to cure the hangover. A perfect weekend all round. Sheila you are amazing at what you do, you deserve every award and pay bonus going!!

From the moment we had our show around with Jade from the Weddings Team at Breaffy, we knew we had to book our wedding here and we are so glad we did! The Weddings Team at Breaffy are absolutely amazing to deal with, they are the upmost professionals and they always responded promptly to any questions we had. Nothing was too much for them to handle and we appreciated that so much. From the impressive grounds, to the drink's reception, to the ballroom, everything looked absolutely stunning on our wedding day. They really do a fantastic job in setting up everything while also making sure the bride and groom are happy with the results. We had prosecco, a cocktail stand along with plenty other bottle beers and non-alcoholic drink's at our drink's reception and it was ran so well and ended up being a big hit for our guests! We also had sparklers and a fireworks display which went off so smoothly as the staff in Breaffy know exactly how to manage the displays in the right way. Our guests have only had amazing things to say about both the food and drink at our wedding which we are delighted about as it is such an important part of any wedding day. If you are thinking of booking Breaffy House Resort for your wedding then DO IT! We promise you will not regret it. Our wedding day and overall experience with Breaffy was pure magical and we are so happy we chose this amazing venue.

The most incredible wedding venue and team — 5 stars isn't enough!
Myself and Mark would like to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to the entire Breaffy House team for helping create our dream wedding on 9th May.
Planning our wedding from Scotland could have been stressful, but Breaffy made the whole process incredibly easy. From our first viewing, Una made us feel so welcome and at ease, and Jade was fantastic throughout the planning process — always so helpful, responsive and professional.
Christina and the accommodation team were brilliant at organising stays for our guests, and everyone we dealt with was so friendly and accommodating.
A special mention has to go to Sheila, who was absolutely amazing in the final week and on the wedding day itself. She was calm, organised and completely on top of everything. We genuinely didn't have to worry about a thing. Even when the electricity went, everything was handled seamlessly! We also have to mention Oisín, your wonderful concierge, who was one of the friendliest and most welcoming people we've ever met.
The day itself was absolutely perfect. Everything ran so smoothly, our decor was set up exactly as we'd imagined, and the champagne fountain was an incredible surprise — far beyond anything we had expected!

From the start to finish we were absolutely delighted with how our wedding day turned out at Breaffy House! The team were so accommodating with every request we had and Sheila was amazing to deal with answering any questions day or night leading up to the big day. Our guests thought the food was amazing which was important to us and bar service was excellent! Would highly recommend Breaffy house to anyone and we cant thank the team and staff enough we will remember the day forever :)

Thank you so much to the team at Breaffy House for such a wonderful wedding day. We were so amazed by how everything was managed and how spoiled we were for the whole weekend we were there. The wedding team were incredible and so helpful throughout our planning and especially the way the coordinator managed everything for us on the day made the whole experience amazing for us and our guests.
We also found there was great value in our wedding package and additional extras that really helped make the day. Also the food was incredible and so many of our guests commented on it so a big thank you to the kitchen and waiting staff for their amazing work.

Breaffy House was the absolute dream venue from the moment we walked in the door for the first viewing to our wedding day. The wedding team were absolutely unbelievable and nothing was a problem. They ensured that everything was perfect for us. The food was absolutely incredible and our guests are still talking about it. Thanks so much. I 100% recommend to any couples out there who are starting the planning process.

We had a great experience with Breaffy House. They have a beautiful hotel, wonderful facilities and excellent food. The Wedding Team were a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating and flexible. On the day itself we were so wonderfully looked after by Sarah. They all really try their best to take any stress they can away from you. We are looking forward to returning again and again in the future.

We got married in Breaffy House a month ago and I can not praise the venue and staff enough for how well everything was run leading up to the day and the day itself.
Sheila and Jade made the day flawless providing extras we hadn't even thought of . It was great value and all of our guests also gave glowing reports. The food and service were class and the bar was well staffed. We cannot wait to go back again to stay as a guest.

Sheila was amazing the day of the wedding, she handled everything and kept the day moving smoothly. All the staff have been really friendly and professional. The food throughout the day was delicious and everyone spoke highly of the day during and afterwards.

We highly recommend Breaffy house as a wedding venue. The food was perfect, served hot and catered for all dietary needs. The venue itself was spectacular, beautifully decorated inside and well maintained outside. The rooms are modern and fresh. The wedding staff at Breaffy were approachable, patient and very helpful. We included the fireworks in our package and wow, they were worth every cent! Our guests are still talking about them. We had over 230 guests at our wedding, the ball room was still comfortable and even had space to be extended. The bar staff were experienced and efficient, there was never a queue at the bar all night.

From the minute we stepped into Breaffy to peek around the hotel as a potential wedding venue, we were not only amazed by the beautiful grounds and gorgeous interior but astounded by the attentiveness of the staff. A member of staff found us wandering around and within 5 minutes had us seated for a complimentary lunch and an appointment booked to meet the wedding coordinator following it. This showed us how attentive, flexible, accomodating and enthusiastic the Breaffy staff are from the very start. Jade the wedding coordinator was very lovely and informative and Sheila was the most amazingly helpful and friendly manager we could have taking us through the meal tasting, wedding checks, and being available at any time for all our many questions. We had the blue and silver bridal suite and it was exquisite. We had champagne and whiskey in the wine cellar with our bridal party after the dinner and it was *magical* down there! For photos we were able to take a ride in the car buggy through the grounds to the perfect spot. I'm Scottish and my now husband is Irish and they even flew a Scottish and Irish flag for us on the day. These were such special elements. The day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly, everyone commented on how wonderful the staff were and how tasty the food was. Breaffy runs a very tight operation behind the scenes and made sure absolutely everything was perfect. We ended up having a whole table not able to make our wedding day due to illness and I didn't even know about it until the following day - the team made sure the left over guests from that table were reallocated seats and took on all the stress of rearranging things without us having to know or worry one tiny bit. It made it the most magical and relaxing day being in the best hands and we couldn't thank them enough!

We cannot thank Breaffy House enough for giving us the most special day and more. From start to finish Sarah and Sile have been nothing more then amazing! We have autistic children and they went out of their way to accommodate their needs. The hotel itself is fabulous and the grounds beautiful for photos and the food was perfect everyone is still talking about it!! We will be forever grateful to all the staff for making the day more then we could have imagined

We had our wedding at Breaffy house this year & what a wedding it was!
The staff were so helpful from start to finish, they could not do enough for us!
The day was perfect from start to finish, from the morning breakfast with my bridal party to the end of the night residents bar - flawless.
We had our ceremony onsite (unfortunately not outside) but nevertheless it was still perfect.
Sheila had everything organised and we did not need to worry about a thing on the day (which is a massive bonus).
The food was boiling hot coming out & absolutely beautiful (which is hard to find at a wedding). All of our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was!
Everyone was especially grateful of the spa facilities to wake them up the next morning ready for round two!
I wish we could do it all again & again & we would choose breaffy every time!

We had both our ceremony and reception in Breaffy House and we were so happy with our decision. The hotel and grounds are beautiful but the staff really make this hotel special. They went out of their way to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams and we are so grateful. In particular, Sheila, Jade, Una and Claire are an absolute credit to the hotel. We were highly impressed with the venue and appreciated the comprehensive information provided by Jade during our tour. I must say Breaffy House Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The venue blew us away it was stunning, the foyer and the reception area was gorgeous. The only thing that outshine the venue were the staff. They looked after everything and we never had to worry about anything. Everyone from the wedding team to the bar staff were so professional. By far the best hotel in Ireland. Everything that was done for us and provided by the hotel and the staff was nothing short of the best. Our entire wedding was outstanding from the start to finish. Outstanding in every possible way. All Managers & Staff were such a pleasure to deal with & nothing was an issue and each more helpful than the next! The Wedding Breakfast was amazing. A number of guests commented their meal was piping hot regardless of whether their table was served first or last. And Day 2 celebrations continued in Healy Macs Bar & The Mulberry Restaurant where we were treated as though we were old friends by each member of staff. Fab hotel & location with just the nicest, warmest feel to it. All guests are still raving about the hotel, the location & the staff. Our day was absolutely fantastic. The food, the service, the table settings, the bar, the staff were all excellent. The wedding coordinator Sheila was an absolute star just really really sound and professional. Our guests really enjoyed themselves and said the food and rooms were great! Some of our guests arrived by train to Castlebar and found it very easy to get to and the hotel.
Overall we had a fantastic time, our guests had a fantastic time and everything went off without an issue. You won't regret booking this venue.

From the very start the hotel was available for any questions we had. Everyone commented about the day how well the venue looked and how good the food was. On the personal side of our day the hotel took such good care of us. Brendan our coordinator led us through everything on the day. We didn't have to wonder about anything. From start to finish, the Breaffy team were absolutely amazing. Responsive, attentive and pros at putting our minds at ease. The day could not have gone any better and Brendan and his team were flawless allowing us to enjoy our day without us having to worry about a thing. The backdrop that the Breaffy grounds gave us for our ceremony was breath taking and the service and layout for our ceremony was exceptional. All of our guests have been so complimentary about the day itself as well as the venue, the food, the rooms and all the Breaffy staff. Our wedding in Breaffy House on the day was managed Brilliantly by Brendan. Any questions we had or anything we needed him and his team were there to help! There was a few hiccups along the way with bedrooms and responses but overall was a great hotel to celebrate our wedding. Our guests gave us great compliments on the food and everyone enjoyed their night!

They have the most wonderful, knowledgeable and efficient team. They worked with us and nothing was too much to ask. The venue is stunning. The grounds are breathtaking and the food was delicious.

Everything was wonderful in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. We had such great support from the whole wedding team and they dealt with any request/query so quick. Our guests all remarked on the quality of the service and the food, as well as the beautiful setting. Myself and my wife recently got married at Breaffy House Resort and we want to say a huge thank you to Breaffy for ensuring we had the most memorable day.
We opted for a civil ceremony so had everything on the grounds. Because of some forecasted showers we couldn't have the ceremony outdoors but this really didn't matter. We were so impressed with how beautiful the setup was for the ceremony inside. The room had a really intimate feel to it and created a special ambiance that perhaps might be difficult in larger venues.
The grounds for the photos were stunning (luckily the rain held off) and it was nice that we got back to mingle with guests for a bit before dinner. We got so many compliments afterwards about the food and service on the day. Even the small things like carrying all the drinks of the bridal party from the lobby to the top table when we entered for dinner didn't go unnoticed.
In the lead up to the day it was a pleasure dealing with the wedding team and their flexibility and patience in answering questions was much appreciated. What drew us initially to Breaffy was the fact they offered a selection of packages for the big day that made the wedding planning so much easier. We went for the mid package and in terms of value it Is hard to beat.
On the day itself, and before, I have to say that Brendan was incredibly helpful and easy to deal with and he couldn't have been more accommodating. The professionalism of the entire staff on the day was something that was mentioned to me by several guests.
The cellar, after dinner and the speeches, was a unique touch and allowed the bridal party to enjoy a special moment and drink together before partying the night away with the rest of the guests.
We honestly had the best day and couldn't have asked for anything more. Everything ran smoothly. We were able to just really enjoy it from start to finish and not have to stress about anything once the day arrived. We are incredibly thankful that it was everything we wanted and more.

The Minute we arrived to view Breaffy, we felt comfortable and listened to by the whole team. They listened to our ideas, advised us on the best way to action these, and help us to deliver the best experience we could have asked for.
We felt understood and supported, and We are so thankful with how nice everyone was to deal with and if we had to fault them, we would be waiting a while to find it!

Breaffy House is a fantastic venue, the staff leading up to our big day we're brilliant. Sheila, Brendan, Jade, Sarah etc were just a few that helped us have the best day we could have imagined. Breaffy house hotel is a stunning wedding venue! The food was so good and complimented on by a number of our guests. The service was fast and efficient. The venue was decorated so well. Shelia and all the staff were on hand throughout the day to help and were so professional. As I and a lot of my family are coeliac , my biggest thing was to have good gluten free food with plenty of options which was catered for , for the most part. Coming up to the wedding and during our wedding day, the wedding team were very helpful and efficient in replying to emails etc. However, as regards post wedding correspondence, I have not received any reply to an email regarding an issue , so I am a bit disappointed with that.

We were delighted with our day in Breaffy! Overall a really pleasant experience. Food was hot, service was fast and seconds were plentiful! We had requested the bar to be well staff'd - which it was in the function room and it worked out really well for such big numbers on the day.

From the very start we were delighted by everything in Breaffy House Resort. We viewed many venues and were very impressed at what Breaffy had to offer. We got married on 30.12.2023 and we had an amazing day from start to finish and had endless compliments from everyone throughout the wedding day and even up to today, which is a testament to their professionalism. When we heard the wedding coordinator had left, we were very apprehensive but we had nothing to worry about as we were assigned Shelia to coordinate our wedding day.
We met Shelia in person about a month before the wedding and this was when we really knew we were in safe hands. Shelia was our coordinator and couldn't have been more helpful and easy going which put our minds at ease building up to the big day. She is a gem, and a real asset to the wedding team in Breaffy. Sheila could not do enough for us leading up to the big day and on the day itself. There was nothing to much. Had the best day from start to finish everything was impeccable, even the guests said it was the best wedding they were at which is down to the dedication of all the staff with a special mention to Una, Shelia & Wilson who made us feel like the most important people in the hotel the whole weekend. Honestly can't recommend enough, the only bad thing about it was that sadly it had to end.

We had our wedding at Breaffy House Hotel in June ?23 and we would highly recommend it as a wedding venue for any couple. The wedding team were very easy to deal with in the weeks and months building up to the wedding, readily available to discuss any queries we had (although we did have to follow up on room reservations a few times as some bookings were missed/incorrect).
On the morning of the wedding the bridal party were able to get ready onsite and also had breakfast there, which was very convenient. We opted to have our ceremony and reception all onsite, which Breaffy can cater for, making the whole day flow for our guests upon arrival. Just to be aware, the ceremony room did get quite warm and wasn't laid out as we discussed (music at the back rather than the side due to space constraints, as we had c.200 guests).
The grounds are beautiful, with a number of options to get some great photos and there is a lovely front patio area for a drinks reception (should the weather allow). Breaffy offer a great little extra, bringing the bridal party down to the cellar for a drink, which offers a few quiet moments together.
The food was excellent and they catered for any guests with allergies, with excellent service from all staff (note: our original menu tasting was a poor experience but they accommodate us with a 2nd tasting, which was much better). The bar was extremely well run, with professional and fast service throughout the whole day. The breakfast the following morning was excellent.
Overall, the whole day ran very smoothly and on time, with no issues, making it the stress-free, wonderful day we hoped for. Thanks again to all at Breaffy House Hotel.

We would recommend Breaffy House Resort as a wedding venue to future couples. The grounds are beautiful and perfect to take your wedding photographs. The ballroom is very spacious and the d?cor (which is included) is beautiful. The staff were very attentive to allergies on the day and always made sure there were alternative options.

The booking of the wedding was easy and smooth and Ann-Marie could not be more helpful in e-mails with all questions answered in a quick, professional and detailed manner. The bridal suite alone is absolutely amazing! Our ceremony was beautiful and the banquet hall was decorated amazingly! The drinks reception was fabulous and the grounds are beautiful to take pictures along with the hotel itself! The food was fantastic along with the serving of the food. Nobody had to ask for anything, service really was flawless and each course as amazing as the last. Everything went smoothly on the day and Sheila also had such good craic with ourselves and our bridal party. We honestly cannot thank Breaffy enough for giving us such a special day!

I'll start with the positives, Beautiful location, great venue, fantastic staff. GM is extremely accommodating and pleasant to talk to before you pay your deposit, after that you'll barely get a head nod during your day but maybe that's on purpose. Which takes me onto the negatives, the top table wasn't setup as planned, we asked for a full rectangle table but got the long table instead. If I had to give food 0-5 stars it would be 2 stars, after a failure of the tasting I was reassured the beef would be of better quality and also I asked for medium for everyone. On the big day the quality of beef was poor, dry and overcooked, I didn't/couldn't eat it. Every moment during our build up to the wedding we had issues, during our trial stay we had a meal at the restaurant which was a disaster, tasting was good apart from the beef and desserts, breakfast I found 2 chefs who can't cook fried eggs for breakfast. Fish and chips for lunch with the most soggy oily batter I've ever experienced. Basically every encounter todo with food at the hotel was negative and we ended up getting a Indian take away on our second night. After raising our concerns before the wedding day I hoped these thing would of been rectified prior to our big day so my advice for anyone is if your wedding isnt over 100 people, you'll get the C grade experience, but if you bring the big numbers and fill that hotel up, I'm sure they'll pulled out the real red carpet and listen. Apart from that lovely spot if you have kids attending and lovely reception and bar staff!

Having gotten engaged in Breaffy in 2020, the whole team have been absolutely fantastic from day 1! The staff go above and beyond and are absolutely unbelievable at their job!
Everyone we came in contact with was super but I have to give special mentions to a few, Claire, Christina and Mary on reception couldn't have been more helpful and are the nicest ladies!

From the moment we went to look at Breaffy House Resort to book our date the girls were absolutely amazing. We delt with Sheila in the last few months leading up to our wedding day and she couldn't have been more helpful and responding to messages at various times of the day!
We had our ceremony and reception in Breaffy House Resort and from start to finish it was perfect and went so smoothly. I really couldn't recommend it enough. I wish we could do it all again! It was just fabulous.

Breaffy House could not have been a more perfect choice. We planned our wedding from abroad and it seemed like a difficult task, however Ann Marie and her team were always there to answer any questions that we had. We would highly recommend Breaffy House Hotel as a wedding venue. Right from the start, the process was made enjoyable for us. Sheila, our wedding co ordinator is amazing at her job. We had our wedding in Breaffy house back in October and the day was just brilliant. Shelia was a pleasure to work with, even though we had only known and met her for a short time before our big day. But the moment we met her we knew we hadn't to worry about a thing. The staff on the day/night were professional, fast and very welcoming to our guests. The food was exceptional and a lot of our guests commented on how good it was. We had our wedding in Breaffy house the weekend of the 23rd of September 2022. I just want to say how amazing Una, Sheila, Sarah & Caroline were to us from when we booked our venue.
Una went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything throughout all the stages of planning our big day, and she couldn't do enough for us. Time management and service on the day was phenomenal too. She really is a fantastic Manager in the hotel and gives the complete 5 star service in everything that she does.
Sheila was absolutely fabulous to deal with and had everything running so smoothly on the day. From the minute we arrived we got the 5 star service from her. Nothing was to much for her to do and she went out of her way to give us a fabulous day 2 also.
Sarah was so lovely to deal with and gave us a beautiful meal tasting and lovely experience of the hotel the month prior.
Caroline was a dream to deal with booking accommodation and making sure all guests were happy.
Also all the bar staff and restaurant/breakfast team were fantastic too and all super friendly.

If you want all this and more I would highly recommend Breaffy.
From start to finish the wedding team and all staff were lovely. We wanted all our guests to feel comfortable and have a good time and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone including ourselves were well looked after. August 13th was our third date after a postponement and a cancellation. Wilson, Una, Sheila and all the staff were absolutely fantastic. The meal was top class and all our guests were very impressed with the excellent service. The grounds at the resort provided the perfect backdrop for our photographs. We cannot praise the staff and service in Breaffy enough. They went above and beyond in so many ways for us! We dealt mainly with Sarah coming up to the day and she just blew us away in every way possible. She was friendly, professional and extremely attentive. Nothing was a problem for her. On the day itself, Shiela was there and made sure that everything ran smoothly. Again, she was fantastic. A number of our guests commented on the standard of the service, the friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel and the venue itself. On both day one and day two, we received top notch service. The bar staff who worked late into the night on both days were amazing to deal with. Adrian made sure that anytime we were near the bar, we were looked after. We cannot praise the staff and service enough. We would highly recommend Breaffy House as a wedding venue. We would choose it again in a heartbeat.

Couldn't recommend breaffy house highly enough and there staff . We had both or ceremony and reception at the hotel . It couldn't have went better , makes it so easy having it all under the one roof and the guests couldn't speak highly enough of it and the food and service was top notch . Ya can have can get all your pictures taking outside as the hotel is on very scenic grounds . My bride also got ready upstairs as the wedding suite has a lot of space with high chairs and mirrors etc for doing hair and make up . So it really is the one stop shop and makes it very easy and stress less having your wedding at breaffy , it ticks every box and makes it very easy for your guests . It also very good value . Again many thanks to all the wedding team at breaffy .

We got married on the 1st of April 2022 at Breaffy House Resort. From the beginning we wanted to have a Harry Potter themed wedding and Breaffy House was the perfect backdrop for our day. The staff at the the hotel were always within easy reach via email with the various questions we had, especially as we were planning our wedding from England during Covid. We were shown around the hotel via video call and booked it off that. We were not disappointed when we seen it in person. The grounds of the hotel were absolutely perfect for our photographs and we even got some with our bridal party in front of the hotel with our Harry Potter scarves and wands! Our wedding co-ordinator on the day was Sheila and she was absolutely amazing ensuring everything went smoothly. Our guests had nothing but positive comments to say about the food and the day in general, they said it was one of the best weddings they had been to in a long time. One thing we would definitely recommend to other couples is going down to the cellar with your bridal party. It was lovely to have a bit of a debrief and relaxing time with them before going back up for the first dance. We would highly recommend Breaffy House Resort to anyone for their wedding.

We got married in Breaffy House Hotel on Saturday 19th October 2019. To say that Breaffy House is an amazing venue is an understatement. My husband and I are both local to Castlebar and visited Breaffy House Hotel many times for various events. When we were deciding on a wedding venue, there was no competition for our first choice. A big influence in deciding on Breaffy for our wedding is its fantastic setting. Being an autumn wedding, we decided all of our wedding pictures were to be taken on the grounds in Breaffy House. The golden brown colours of the trees and grounds were so magical. A perfect backdrop for the photos!
We first met with Katie at our menu tasting and she put us right at ease with her professional, can do attitude. Her enthusiasm and passion for her job only added to our excitement. Nothing was a problem for this lady and we knew we were in good hands. Katie was always contactable and was always reassuring.
Upon our arrival on the day, Katie took charge. Her confidence and attitude reassured us both to relax and enjoy our big day. She truly made us feel like the stars of the show! The banqueting room was stunning and was decorated so beautifully. There was plenty of room for everybody. All the guests were so impressed by the professional and first-class service provided by Katie and all of the staff members on the day. Her team were efficient and competent and well choreographed in their service and all worked very well together. That type of service can only come with experience and practice. The food was far beyond what we could ever have imagined. We did not need to ask of our guests, they couldn't help but pass compliment on how well prepared and tasty the food was when we got around to chat with them.
I must also highly recommend The Cellar.
We rounded up our bridal party, and as a special thank you to them for all their hard work, took a break after dinner to have some rare whiskey and champagne in the Hotel's cellar. After a hectic day it was the best way to relax and take a few moments to ourselves out of the spotlight.
Any of our family and friends who stayed in the hotel were very impressed with all aspects of the accommodation, the service and professionalism of all the staff. The team at Breaffy House Hotel are a credit to the place. It is said that the key to a great wedding is that the guests are well fed, well drank and well danced! The hotel had control over the first two aspects and did not disappoint! The dancing was our choice and the band kept the floor full all night, with an electric atmosphere.
From accommodation, to food and beverages, and especially Katie and the banqueting team, a sincere and heartfelt thank you for making our big day so special and magical! It was perfect!

I got married in Breaffy House Hotel on Saturday 15th June this year and I couldn't have asked for a better venue.
My husband and I are both from Dublin and first visited Breaffy House Hotel in March 2018. From the moment we drove into the beautiful grounds, we just knew that we would be returning this year along with 250 of our closest friends and family for our big day.
My bridal party and I arrived down to the hotel on Friday June 14th, while most of our guests came down on the Saturday morning. The majority of our guests stayed in Breaffy House Hotel, while those with young children stayed in Breaffy House Woods Apartments which are located to the rear of Breaffy House. Everyone was blown away by the stunning location and first class service provided by all of the staff members.
Upon my arrival, Denice our wedding coordinator took charge and allowed me to sit back, relax and begin to get excited about my big day. From the start of our wedding planning Denice has always went above and beyond. Throughout our weekend she was on site and any questions I had were answered.
All of our wedding pictures were taken on the grounds in Breaffy House. Also for any bridal party the cellar is a real treat. We took a break after dinner to have whiskey and champagne with our bridal party. After a hectic day it was the best way to relax and take everything in.
Our family and friends were treated like royalty all weekend from our family meal in The Mulberry Restaurant on the Friday evening to our wedding on the Saturday. The banqueting room is stunning and our guests are still talking about how beautifully it was decorated. This was all done by Denice and her staff. We had our day 2 BBQ on Sunday. The weather was not great, however this was no obstacle to Breaffy. Our BBQ was held in the Mulberry Restaurant and the food and service were first class.
Our family and friends were made to feel like it was a home away from home all weekend. They did not want to leave. The food and atmosphere were excellent all weekend.
Breaffy, your staff are outstanding; from Christina in reservations, Gary in The Mulberry Restaurant who knew everyone's name by Sunday, Noeleen who looked after us at the top table to Declan the night porter who gave our guests a plate of sandwiches in the early hours on both nights. All staff members went above and beyond the call of duty. I arrived to Breaffy as a stranger from Dublin but left with memories that will last a lifetime. My biggest thanks goes to Denice. Our day was a fairy tale thanks to her, she is one in a million.
Breaffy, you are the No.1 destination hotel and you now have 250 guests who will definitely return. Many people leave Ireland for a destination wedding but there is no need. I had the ultimate destination for my wedding in Ireland at Breaffy House Hotel.

Amazing Wedding day! From the start of our dealings with Breaffy Hotel in February 2017 it was just so straight forward. Our Wedding Co_Ordinator Denice was so easy to deal with and created the perfect package for us. Nothing was too much for Denice. The day itself was just magical the ball room was out of this world. Every little detail and the staff all so friendly. Tanya ran the bar 100%and nobody was left waiting for a drink. The rooms were lovely and I can not recommend this hotel enough.we absolutely love this venue

Denice and the team at Breaffy were exceptional for every part of our wedding weekend. From the beginning with planning to the day itself, they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We had both ceremony and reception in Breaffy and really appreciated the extra effort put in by Denice and her team to facilitate and help structure our day so that everything went smoothly.
The setting is stunning, food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Couldn't recommend Breaffy enough to couples looking for a fabulous wedding venue with a superb team of staff.

BEST WEEKEND OF OUR LIVES!!
We had our wedding on Friday 5th October 2018 and we literally had the best day! The hotel and staff were magnificent, I felt like royalty and not a single thing went wrong!! The hotel itself was looking absolutely amazing, decorated so perfectly and not a thing out of place! We only booked our day in June and I really have to give Denice Kenny a huge mention for being the driving force and key communicator for us; she did everything we asked of her and more!! She was so knowledgeable I was happy to ask her opinion on various things and take it!! As for the rest of the staff, everyone was so nice to us and nothing was too much for any of them, especially the male manager in the restaurant on Saturday night who had to think on his feet when my group grew by 8 and they were fully booked, but without hesitation he said it would be fine and got us all in! To mention a few more staff: Sheila, Jackie, Tanya, Suellen, are the names I can remember but there were so many that were just wonderful to us! Food: there was a lot of it(as we had requested) and my God we have guests still telling us how delicious it was! The rooms were all lovely, really clean and comfy and the views stunning.

Alex and I cant thank the staff at Breaffy House enough for the fantastic job they did with our wedding on the 30 th of september. We planned everything from Norway and Denice and her team were brilliant! Our wedding day was everything we ever wanted. All the Norwegians that came over were so impressed and have never been to anything lik it. We are forever greatful to Denice and her team And cant wait to come back :)

The service provided is nothing short of magnificent, the staff are exceptional and incredibly helpful and accomodating. The banquet manager Denice in particular is a consummate professional whose attention to detail and operating of her staff is in my opinion simply incredible. I highly recommend anyone interested in any functions from a wedding to a communion to use this hotel, and try to get Denice as your organiser. The value for money is astounding and left me and my husband mind boggles, anyone looking for a place to stay in mayo please look into breaffy.
It isn't just the service either, the rooms and the grounds are fantastic and gorgeous, we will be using the hotel for many years to come.

We recently celebrated our wedding reception in Breaffy House and we would highly recommend it to everyone. The venue and the surroundings provided a spectacular location, from its scenic driveway leading up the picturesque hotel, well-kept manicured lawns, acres of incredible woodland, you could not ask from a more perfect setting for your perfect day. Our guests were also extremely impressed by the this.
We had the picture-perfect setting and this was only enhanced by the amazing team at Breaffy, we received five star treatment from the time we went to book the venue for our wedding, throughout our planning process, the day of our wedding and right until we checked out. They were extremely professional, friendly, easy to deal with and above all made our dream day come true. We had our wedding on Saturday 28th July 2018 and it was undoubtedly the best day of our lives! The hotel and staff were magnificent, and everything went according to plan!! We fell in love with the setting and grounds of this hotel from our first viewing. The banqueting manager Denice Kenny is so professional and helpful, kindly recommending florists, decor suppliers and offering her assistance to us in anyway she could. Nothing was too much to ask of her. All the staff done an amazing job on the day. We also have a special mention for Jackie who looked after us all at the top table so well. Our meal was a very important part of our day and it was outstanding and there was plenty of it as we had requested. Our guests were all extremely happy with their meals. We would highly recommend Breaffy House Hotel to all future couples. You won't be dissappointed.

I am from Castlebar and when deciding on a wedding venue, there was only one choice! From the first encounter with Maureen, to saying goodbye with Una and everyone else we met in-between, the service was fantastic. Our guests were so impressed with the grounds, facilities and the staff and the service they provided. Upon arrival on Thursday until late Sunday afternoon, most of our guests did not leave the grounds, there was so much for them to do between activities for their children, pitch and put, walks around the grounds, spa treatments and delicious meals. Maureen and Denice provide a great wedding planning service, anything you need they will help out and go out of their way to provide. Wilson, Michael, Derry and Padraig were always on hand to offer assistance. Michael Casey is such a friendly porter, from greeting us Wednesday night, to waving us off on Sunday, he had a smile on his face and added to the overall experience. The guests were delighted to be met by him with an umbrella and their bags taken care of upon arrival. Stephen was more than kind to us as the celebrations continued late into the night. Niamh on reception was so helpful in the lead up, helping us sort out accommodation and was amazing on the day. Jackie was fantastic at organising the top table and the guests were amazed at the service, how quickly everyone was served and they loved the top table service. Noel the food was delicious as you could probably see from the cleared plates. The staff at Breaffy are so friendly and efficient, no doubt it will bring most of our guests back to stay. Thank you to all of the staff for providing us with such impeccable service!

We loved our wedding at Breaffy House Hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone choosing a venue in Co. Mayo. Whilst Breaffy were flexible and accommodating with all small changes or requests, they were not flexible in terms of the pricing and package they provided and there was little wiggle room for bargaining despite our final numbers being approx 330. This was disappointing but they simply explained that regardless of numbers or business brought to the hotel over the weekend, no extra perks could be added. eg - complimentary rooms. in saying that the price per head package we felt was good value. We also spent day two there and they provided a lovely buffet for us, however we paid well for the privilege. All staff were polite, helpful and friendly throughout the course of the weekend and never dampened our celebratory spirit! Denice the wedding co-ordinator is a pleasure to deal with. You will not be disappointed if you choose to have your wedding here.

We both had an absolute ball from start to finish. From meeting Maureen and sitting down to plan our date and escorting us around the beautiful grounds of Breaffy to Denise looking after us on the day. We had absolutely nothing to worry about on the day itself. Denise guided us seamlessly through the day. We truly enjoyed every moment. The staff were wonderfully helpful and no request was too great. The hotel recommended the entertainment after the ceremony, which due to the glorious weather we had outside along with the drinks reception. There was plenty of room for every one and well serviced by the staff. The dinner reception was well organised. Ourselves and our guests were delighted with the service. The food was promptly served with no delays. The food was delicious, hot and plentyfull. Our guests were very complimentary of the hotel with many planning to stay again in the future. We would just like to really thank Denice she really made everything smooth and easy, no task was to big.

From start to finish everything ran so smoothly! This is thanks to our fantastic wedding coordinator Denice Kenny and the brillant team in breaffy house hotel.
They catered for our wedding party of over 270 without any issues.
The grounds were absolutely amazing in the sunshine where we got all our pictures and all our guests could enjoy pre dinner drinks on the terrace.
The meal was top class and the reports we have received from our guests since the day have been so good.
Breaffy is the perfect location for a wedding and the staff are just so accommodating and Denice ensures that all your ideas for your day are realised. We have such good memories to take away from our day in breaffy. It really is a superb location and an ideal venue for wedding from meal to fabulous decor throughout the hotel and a fantastic ballroom it has it all!!

We had our wedding in Breaffy on Friday, and what can I say..!!!!! Absolutely amazing from the start dealing with Maureen to the final few months dealing with Denice! Denice was amazing in the lead up and on the day, and the next day. We wouldnt change a thing! Amazing!! Service was amazing, food was amazing, function room was fantastic and we had an absolute ball!! Would HIGHLY recommend!! Photographer was Abaca Photography, videographer was Marriage Multimedia, Make up by the Amazing AnnMarie Hughes, hair by the Amazing Siobhan Costello, music by the superb Bentley Boys(unreal), and DJ was Benen Tierney. Dance floor full all night! Amazing!!!!

They made our wedding day so easy!!!Me and my now husband were able to relax and enjoy our special; knowing everything was running like clockwork!! Could not be happier to be honest. The day went off without a hitch. People had told us that something nearly always wrong but don't let it bother you, but we had no issues what so ever.
The biggest and most important thing about the wedding venue is always the food. Have to say the food was exceptional and many guests commented on it afterwards how impressed they were also.

From the booking to the day of the wedding you were treated beautifully. The whole process was seamless.
The staff is faultless, professional, courteous and incredibly experienced.

We have nothing but good to say about Breaffy House. Maureen, Brenda and Denice were so easy to deal with leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding, Denice and the rest of the team were excellent.
There were a few kids at the wedding and the team looked after their needs really well. The play/babysitting facilities there were a great bonus also.
At dinner the service and food were excellent and so many guests complimented this afterwards.

We had our fun filled wedding in the beautiful Breaffy House Resort. We couldn't of wished for more it was all so perfect. From start to finish everything was at such a high standard ~brilliant venue, service amazing, food top class everybody was complimentary about the food and are still talking about it 8 months later!! Denice our coordinator Superwoman! there is nothing she wouldn't do for us, she would go above and beyond. Denice really made our experience fun and enjoyable. From start to finish both Brenda and Denice were amazing and so helpful in the planning and organising of our wedding reception. They not only listened to what we had invisaged for our wedding reception but provided invaluable suggestions to us too. At times we were maybe a little too laid back but anytime the next part of our reception had to be finalised we were contacted and that part was completed. All in all from beginning to end we had a stress free experience with Breaffy House and the end result was us having the most amazing wedding day we could have imagined.

Breaffy house resort gave us such a special day! And a fantastic after party! It happened to be good weather so at the drop of a hat they suggested moving the after party outside which was amazing sitting outside by the water, with a pig on a spit and beautiful salads for food and they moved the band and bar outside for us too! I highly recommend Breaffy house hotel for your wedding

Amazing wedding venue with superb scenery and surrounding areas for photos of your special day, for relaxation time with family after the event etc. Highly recommend getting married here Wilson, Denice, Maureen and Brenda were a pleasure to deal with throughout our planning. They have fantastic experience and offer invaluable advice and expertise for your special day. All of the staff were extremely helpful throughout our planning and wedding day. We Loved the decorated function room, the food, the rooms, the service, it was all exceptional and unique and Denice and Maureen could not have done enough for us. They truly made our wedding day so memorable! We would highly recommend this venue to those who are getting married in the near future. Thanks again for everything Breaffy House Resort, we truly appreciate it. We will always have fond memories of Breaffy and we return very regularly for dinner in Healy Mac's and to use the fabulous leisure facilities..

Dealing with Breaffy house was a dream, they were professional, friendly and very easy to talk with, we had to change our date due to family circumstances beyond our control they were so helpful caring and very understanding. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about getting married.

We decided to have our wedding reception in Breaffy House in May 2015.. I had been to previous weddings there and was always in love with the surrounding grounds and the house itself.. the staff in the lead up to our wedding were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure our day went perfectly.. I would definitely recommend Breaffy House and its staff for anyone looking for a venue in the west of Ireland.. People still talk about how brilliant our wedding was two years later!

Fantastic venue, food, service and staff. The staff were so supportive in helping us organise our special day and even helped us out with contacts for flowers and the different type of ceremonies that we could avail of.

As a bride planning a wedding from England, Maureen was an excellent wedding planner. Nothing was too much trouble, and she always responded promptly to every one of my many many emails with helpful advice. I felt I could trust her to put together the very best for me.
The weekend of the wedding went without a hitch. Lead by Denise and Wilson, Ben and I were made to feel so special.
We had so much fun and so did all of our guests. The venue looked fantastic and the wedding banquet was exquisite. It was a really magical weekend!

So if like you were like us and you're reading this review prior to choosing your venue, we understand what a big decision you're about to undertake. The truth is these reviews are very subjective and personal. Most couples tend to have positive experiences at their wedding regardless of their venue and tend to want to write about them afterwards so in a sense its hard to get a clear picture of a venue purely from a review. My only advice is to go to the venue in person and observe. We did this with Breaffy House and what swung the venue for us was the staff. We were given that welcoming smile from the moment we arrived to the day we left after the wedding itself. The staff manage to pull off that tricky combination of professionalism and warmth. Issues and requests were dealt with effectively and promptly and while we asked questions that i'm sure they'd heard a thousand times or never before, we were never made to feel like we were being 'awkward'. They just got that we were the amateurs and they the professionals and everything just fell into place. To our wedding co-coordinator Maureen, Wilson and Denise, Brenda, Chef Simon and the rest of staff at Breaffy a sincere thank you and keep your 'can-do' attitude.

Amazing venue with professional friendly staff, Denise, Maureen and all the gang were just fabulous and couldn't do enough to make sure our wedding day was perfect. The grounds made for stunning photos and having that on site meant there was no delay with photos, dinner etc. We could not have asked for more from a wedding venue. Thank you to all at Breaffy House.

From our very first visit, we were made feel so genuinely welcome. The day we came to view the venue, we met Jade, who was incredibly kind and helpful, and she made the day so special and exciting. Every single time we returned after that, it truly felt like coming home. Being greeted by name and treated with such warmth and care honestly made us feel like part of the Breaffy family, something we will always treasure.
A very special and heartfelt thank you must go to Sheila, who went above and beyond for us throughout our entire wedding journey. From start to finish, her kindness, care, and support were truly exceptional. On the day itself, everything felt so calm, relaxed, and effortless, and that was entirely down to Sheila. Her hard work did not go unnoticed, and so many of our guests commented on how wonderful she was, not to mention great craic too. We felt completely looked after and supported every step of the way.
We honestly do not have the words to fully express how grateful we are for the incredible work, attention to detail, and genuine care that went into our wedding day. Everything ran so seamlessly, allowing us to fully relax and soak in every moment, knowing we were in the safest of hands. It was the most amazing way to ring in the New Year, surrounded by love, joy, and celebration in such a special place.
Every single guest has had nothing but the highest praise for the hotel, the food, the staff, and the overall experience. The professionalism, warmth, and genuine kindness shown by everyone meant more to us than we could ever put into words.
Thank you to the entire Breaffy House Resort team for making our wedding day so magical, memorable, and full of joy. We feel beyond grateful to have celebrated such an important day in such a special place, and we will always look back on it with the happiest of hearts.
