Cloughan Castle

We celebrated our wedding in October 2019. We had the most magical two days with everyone working so hard to make our day so special. The gasps from the guests when they saw the venue is something we will treasure forever.My mum had tears in her eyes and kept saying "it's such a magical place". Justin Comber from Maggie Mays did an outstanding job with our reception meal. The food was fantastic. We organised for him to cater for a small group the following night, we didn't need to leave the castle. We couldn't thank Maurice enough for running the bar. His staff ran the bar so well, Maurice gave us lots of helpful hints and tips and made sure the drinks reception ran like clockwork. Lourda was also on hand to make sure everything was running smoothly on the day. Thanks to Marco from Singers for Hire for entertaining us during the food reception. This really got the celebrations started. The Weightless Astronauts continued this party vibe. They kept the dance floor full the whole night. Thanks to everyone who helped make our day special. The bedrooms are fabulous, so warm and comfy. Everyone loved exploring the castle, up on to the roof to see the wonderful surrounding scenery. What a fantastic venue.....go for it.....!. At first we were nervous going for a "hired venue" as opposed to a hotel it seems daunting at first thinking we had to do everything for the day, but with the help of Kim the castles wedding coordinator it could not be easier, all we really had to do was choose a caterer. Obviously for the ease of the day try and pick a caterer that has been there before Kim provides a choice of recommendations but you are free to hire whoever you wish. After the caterer was chosen the rest falls into place. Regards decor of the castle i think less is more the castles beauty speaks for itself we went simple just lots of candles dotted around. The castle provides the bar hire Maurice goes above and beyond in his work and is amazing to have on the day he really helped out a lot. So for any brides to be out there thinking of Cloghan castle go for it with the help of Kim and Kevin you are in great hands we had the most magical day that we will treasure for ever

The Castle was beautiful and the food was amazing, all our friends and family had a wonderful time in Cloghan Castle. Kevin the Caretaker was amazing and so helpful, he arranged so many things for us and he made our big day a very happy one!
