We were delighted that we held our wedding in the Eccles hotel. It has such a lovely location. We met the wedding planner when we booked the wedding, but for one reason or another we did not meet her again until the day of the wedding. However she was contactable by email. She was very organised and helpful on the day. The staff are very friendly and kind and welcoming. We loved that it was only our guests staying in the hotel the night of the wedding. The rooms, particularly the bridal suite were fabulous. The wedding meal was exactly what we asked for. The reception was also very well done. Glengarriff, particularly the Eccles hotel will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had our wedding reception at the Eccles Hotel and Spa in September and a drinks/food reception the following day. We had an absolutely fantastic weekend!
Our guests had a great time at the drinks reception, especially enjoying the cocktails. All the food we ate during our stay was fantastic, especially the wedding dinner. Our gluten-free and vegan guests were stunned at how well catered for they were. The main reception room was just beautiful with candles on all the tables and the stunning bay view in the background! The bridal suite was very comfortable with plenty of space to get ready on your wedding day. The hotel has so much character in every room, giving it a homely feel! It was raining on our wedding day and the fires in the reception were lit, adding a lovely atmosphere as guests arrived.
The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly throughout the whole process. We would like to say a special thank you to Michael and Marie who went above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day and felt relaxed enjoying every moment knowing the fabulous staff had every detail handled.
Our only regret was not getting a chance to try out the spa! Would highly recommend the Eccles for a wedding venue or relaxing weekend break.

We got married at the Bantry House and had our reception at the Eccles Hotel. I can only rave about our experiences. They took such fantastic care of us. We came in from Florida with about 30 guests in our party and they treated us like gold even though by all standards we were a very small wedding. Not once did they treat us like we were anything but special.
Marie was our hotel wedding coordinator and she is absolutely incredible!!! She helped me plan my wedding every step of the way and she went above and beyond for us in ways that are just too numerous to count, but that added up to the most special day of our lives. Without her assistance, we would not have had such a wonderful experience. The Yeats Suite was beautiful, the food was incredible - we had our reception dinner and breakfasts there as well, the ballroom was absolutely gorgeous, and so much attention was paid to every detail. I can't stress enough how wonderfully taken care of we were. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this staff and Marie if you are looking for a beautiful place to get married. We had our wedding reception in the Eccles in April and oh my god I could not say enough good things about it. From start to finish they were there to help us with anything. Marie the wedding coordinator is as cool as a breeze and is super organised! All the staff are so friendly and really go above and beyond. I really couldn't recommend it enough. And the food is amazing too!!

We had our wedding in the Eccles in December 2022. Could not thank them enough (especially Marie). They made the day so special for us. Food was amazing and staff were so friendly.
Aoife and I popped into the Eccles on our 6 month anniversary for a coffee and all the staff were still there working. We were all reminiscing about that night. So friendly and such a family feel about the place.

We stayed in Eccles in November for our wedding reception. We stayed for 2 nights and on both days/nights we received the best service, the best professionalism and super friendly staff. Our wedding went without hiccups and the staff were just amazing. We had a great wedding and a great weekend in Eccles - can't wait to go back. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted but even better!

We had our wedding at the Eccles Hotel in October last year and absolutely couldn't fault it. We decided to have our wedding reception there as we had also stayed there on the night we got engaged. From the beginning, Marie was so helpful and always got back to us with regards to any questions we had, etc. One of our main things that we wanted to do right was the food, and the food on the day of our wedding was outstanding. So many of our guests commented on it. Our band loved playing at the Eccles as they could pull up at a door right next to the stage to unload their gear. All the staff on our wedding day were so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond sourcing a piano at the very last minute when they realised the one in the ballroom wasn't working and we had planned on using it during our speeches. We had the best day and wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much to Marie and all at the Eccles Hotel & Spa!

We had our wedding at the Eccles and honestly had the most relaxed, straightforward wedding planning experience and an absolutely perfect wedding day. Marie Dooley, the wedding coordinator is a pro at what she does. She never put us under pressure or made us feel stressed. She was always in hand to answer questions or give advice. She had everything organised to a tee and had some lovely small touches for the two of us on the sat, which were really sweet and very appreciated. The staff were so friendly and professional and the food was the best that many of our guests had had at a wedding in a long time, if not ever. The food is top top quality!! I could not recommend the Eccles highly enough as a wedding venue and I could not have been more impressed with Marie and all the staff. Keep up the great work!!

From when we first went to see the venue to the days following our wedding, the welcome and attention to detail we got was second to none. Marie, the wedding coordinator, is so helpful and creative. All of her suggestions were brilliant and she was always at the other end of the phone to answer any questions or help solve any problems. On the day, everything ran like clockwork. Our guests commented on how efficient the service was, especially when it came to the meal. We had a number of children at the wedding and all the staff were so kind to them and interacted with them throughout the day. We honestly can't speak highly enough of all the staff. From the waiters, bar tenders, cleaners and receptionists, everyone was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. A special mention to Mario and Adrian who made sure we had everything we needed all night.
The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Marie and Eddie were able to accommodate all the dietary requirements and were very flexible in helping us to create a menu we loved.
The venue itself has been recently renovated and while everything feels fresh and new, it still has a beautiful classic and vintage feel. The views are amazing and we were lucky to have nice weather so we could have our drinks reception on the balcony. We also enjoyed being out on the balcony throughout the evening. The bridal suite is amazing and all our guests were delighted with the quality of their rooms.
We would highly recommend Eccles as a wedding venue and we would like to thank all the staff for helping create an amazing experience.

Cliff and I celebrated our wedding in The Eccles Hotel in May 2022. We initially picked it as it was in a stunning location and had a lovely old world feel about it. Due to covid we had to reschedule and since then the hotel has been renovated and have added the spa. It has modernised the rooms and the finish is impeccable but it still maintains the old world feel that we initially fell in love with. On the day itself there is nothing we would change. The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie the wedding co ordinator or any of the staff throughout the hotel. Many of our wedding party remained in the hotel again the day/night after the wedding and the outstanding customer service continued. The breakfast was one of the best i have ever experienced in a hotel. From beginning to end the Eccles exceeded our hopes for our day and I could not recommend them enough. The renovated Yeats suite is also a sight to behold!

We want to say how absolutely outstanding The Eccles Hotel And Spa were for our wedding on the 21st May 2022. From beginning to end it was faultless. From the very first phone call to Marie their wedding coordinator, she was a joy to deal with. Nothing was ever a problem. The reservations manager Sandra was also fantastic.
And after all the planning the wedding day came and the hotel made our day just magical. Each of the staff are so professional, helpful and friendly.
The food was in the words of our guests "the best they ever had at a wedding".
The location is breathtaking and a beautiful backdrop for photos and again our guests were blown away.
We wish we could do it all again next weekend.

Declan and I were lucky enough to get married in March this year in the stunning Eccles hotel. We had previously had to postpone our wedding and Marie, the wedding coordinator, was more than helpful during a very turbulent time. From our first visit to the hotel, we were blown away by the incredible decor , views from the hotel and the warm, helpful and welcoming staff. The Yeats suite had been recently refurbished and was absolutely amazing for our big weekend. Throughout the planning process Marie and the team were incredibly helpful and flexible to our requests which included changes to the menu and a locally distilled gin bar. Our guests were wowed by the food, Chef Eddie Atwell is a huge selling point on his own ( his honeycomb and chocolate desserts were a huge hit). The entire day and weekend ran smoothly and any minor issues that arose were handled swiftly by Marie and team without us even knowing. Overall, a HUGE THANK YOU to the entire team at the Eccles for everything, it was the most perfect weekend we could have asked for! We are delighted to have an excuse to return to the Eccles and the beautiful Glengarriff for future celebrations!

We celebrated our wedding at the beautiful Eccles Hotel Glengarriff, Co. Cork on Saturday the 3rd of August. To say that we were treated like king and queen would be an understatement. From the first day we visited to inquire about holding our wedding there, to our check out after our special day we wanted for nothing. Our wedding coordinator, Rose, is meticulous in everything she does and left no stone unturned for us. Her attention to detail made the wedding look amazing and the feed back from all our guests has been nothing but complementary. All the reception, kitchen and bar staff, led by Sandra, Michael and Adrian were excellent throughout our stay and Chief Eddie, provided us with state of the art food. Even though our morning was wet nothing could put a damper on the amazing ocean and rugged views that surround this hotel. We would highly recommend the Eccles Hotel as a wedding venue and look forward to returning for mini breaks for many years to come! Thanks to all at the Eccles Hotel from Catriona and Larry.

We celebrated our wedding in the Eccles Hotel, Glengarriff on 20th June 2019. To say we made the right decision is an understatement. Everything was magical from start to finish-all we have heard from our guests since is how gorgeous the setting was for our special day!
From the minute that we viewed the hotel, we knew this was where we had to have our wedding. We walked into the foyer and were immediately transported back in time to a world of vintage elegance-fresh and new, yet retaining such character we knew it was something special. We met Rose, our wedding coordinator and she was the nicest, most accommodating person we had met with in all our venue viewings. She showed us around and went through everything with us and once she showed us how beautifully she would decorate and coordinate the room for our wedding, we were sold! She is so incredibly creative and gifted at what she does-every vision I had for the wedding was enhanced and perfected by Rose. We had nothing to worry about-she had the entire room made up to perfection with vintage paraphernalia that gave us the feeling that we were celebrating in an old world of elegant luxury. The year leading up to the wedding was seamless-any time I needed help, someone was there to give us whatever we needed. Be it Rose, Sandra, Michael or Patrick, everyone absolutely bent over backwards for us the entire time right up to the day of the wedding. Sandra, our reservations correspondent, bent over backwards to help us figure out accommodation for guests coming from abroad, and through multiple phone calls she was nothing but gracious and lovely through our awkward requests and made sure we were sorted on the day.
The day of the wedding was nothing short of perfection. The bridal party got ready in the Yeats Suite which is the most beautiful room
I've ever seen, while the grooms party got ready in another room in a different part of the hotel-so that we wouldn't see one another! We were brought up the most beautiful breakfast to the Yeats suite, enough to feed an army. Patrick could not have done any more for us, he was at our beckon call throughout the entire day for whatever we needed. The hairstylist and makeup artist even commented on Patrick, saying that in all the weddings they had done, they had never seen someone so attentive without being overbearing.
The venue on the day was magnificent. Rose had every detail perfect, from the centerpieces to the table plan and everything in between. The little touches made a huge difference. And then, THE FOOD. The food was very important to us as this is what everyone says they remember most from every wedding, so when I say the food was amazing I don't just mean by wedding standards. The chef is nothing short of a culinary genius. Every mouthful was heavenly, we had plenty of food to feed everyone and there was no compromise on the quality of food due to quantity. We felt like we got to treat all of our close friends and family to a gourmet meal. The food was so gorgeous that family members of mine have since travelled back just to have lunch there! Everything was handmade and a lot of it grown on-site by the chef himself. He included homemade white aero with pine in the dessert of apple tarte- these touches really made it personal and unusual.
I can't recommend The Eccles hotel enough, not just for the setting but for the people too. It was truly a perfect day, one we will never forget!

Nearly 6 months ago we celebrated our wedding day at the beautiful Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff, West Cork.
Even though storm Hannah was a guest at our wedding, it didn't ruin the wonderful atmosphere and quality of food and service in the Eccles that day.
We are so happy we celebrated our special day at the Eccles Hotel and to have this beautiful Hotel on our doorstep.
I can't thank Rose and all the gang enough for making our day so special and making our weekend so perfect.
There really is no place like home.

I can honestly give 5 stars to the Eccles for going above and beyond to give us the perfect wedding celebration. The service was outstanding and the venue and setting were just breathtaking. The team at the Eccles made us feel so welcome and treated us like VIPs. From the food which was delicious, to the service to the venue itself I can't praise the team at the Eccles highly enough. From the moment we met her Rose, the Eccles Wedding Coordinator, was just outstanding. She was so open and friendly and she made us feel so at ease. She has a wealth of experience and we 100% trusted her to make sure that everything ran smoothly on the day. She more than exceeded our expectations. From the outset she listened to our ideas and really got a sense of what we were going for. I was hoping for a vintage style wedding and she really went above and beyond in styling the venue to suit our ideas. She even added subtle but stunning touches that I hadn't thought of. Throughout the whole planning period she was so accommodating and responsive to my emails no matter how frantic or unorganised I was. She had great advice and I really appreciated her support and professionalism. It was such a comfort to have her there on the day knowing that everything would (and did!) go to plan.
The venue itself is just gorgeous. It's Victorian facade is just stunning and they beautifully restored the interior so it has a real old world feel while at the same time doesn't compromise on comfort. My family and the rest of the bridal party stayed there the night before as the night of and everyone was thrilled with their rooms. They had all recently been redecorated and the bathrooms remodelled so there was the perfect balance of an old world feel with modern comforts. My bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite ( the Yeats Room). It was so bright and comfortable wit beautiful views over the bay in Glengarriff, it was the perfect location to get ready. We ordered a champagne breakfast to the room and the staff were fantastic, so efficient and couldn't do enough for us. We really felt looked after.
And now for the food! I still have people talking to me about how fantastic the meal was 6 months later, it was delicious! We had a goats cheese tartlet to start, so simple but absolutely mouth watering, a soup course followed and then we had our main which was a choice of feather blade beef which was melt in your mouth or salmon with a butter sauce. There was a selection of deserts to follow with something for everyone. We had a few guests with specific dietary requirements but there was absolutely no problem in accommodating them and they had plenty of choice to suit their needs. The wine was flowing which was great. I cant remember which wine we chose but I can tell you that everyone seemed to like it and it complimented the food perfectly. I had a number of fussy and hard to please eaters as guests and I can say hand on heart they all enjoyed the food! We danced the night away and banquet room was the perfect size to accommodate our 200 guests. The bar was in the same room a the dance floor so it kept everyone together which was great. The banquet room also looked out over the bay and as the light darkened out side it really created a lovely atmosphere in the room. We danced the night away into the early morning and didn't want the night to end!!!

Throughout the whole planning period she was so accommodating and responsive to my emails no matter how frantic or unorganised I was. She had great advice and I really appreciated her support and professionalism. It was such a comfort to have her there on the day knowing that everything would (and did!) go to plan.
The venue itself is just gorgeous. It's Victorian facade is just stunning and they beautifully restored the interior so it has a real old world feel while at the same time doesn't compromise on comfort. My family and the rest of the bridal party stayed there the night before as the night of and everyone was thrilled with their rooms. They had all recently been redecorated and the bathrooms remodelled so there was the perfect balance of an old world feel with modern comforts. My bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite ( the Yeats Room). It was so bright and comfortable wit beautiful views over the bay in Glengarriff, it was the perfect location to get ready. We ordered a champagne breakfast to the room and the staff were fantastic, so efficient and couldn't do enough for us. We really felt looked after.
And now for the food! I still have people talking to me about how fantastic the meal was 6 months later, it was delicious! We had a goats cheese tartlet to start, so simple but absolutely mouth watering, a soup course followed and then we had our main which was a choice of feather blade beef which was melt in your mouth or salmon with a butter sauce. There was a selection of deserts to follow with something for everyone. We had a few guests with specific dietary requirements but there was absolutely no problem in accommodating them and they had plenty of choice to suit their needs. The wine was flowing which was great. I cant remember which wine we chose but I can tell you that everyone seemed to like it and it complimented the food perfectly. I had a number of fussy and hard to please eaters as guests and I can say hand on heart they all enjoyed the food! We danced the night away and banquet room was the perfect size to accommodate our 200 guests. The bar was in the same room a the dance floor so it kept everyone together which was great. The banquet room also looked out over the bay and as the light darkened out side it really created a lovely atmosphere in the room. We danced the night away into the early morning and didn't want the night to end!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. We had guests arriving from all over the world and the Eccles was the most hospitable hotel you could ask for. We felt so lucky to find them. The staff were ultra friendly and the wedding day itself ran like clockwork. Smoothly, easily and amazingly-Rose had it all organised and was so helpful and kind, along with all the staff. Oh and Eddie the chef-what a talent-the food was utterly delicious!
All the guests commented on what a fabulous time they had at the Eccles which makes Aaron and I so happy.

I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding and have complete confidence to recommend the Eccles to any couple looking for a venue in west cork. The hotel history and charm adds to the whole event , while the food and staff was complimented by all our guests - we had over 160 on the day and it was restaurant quality. As an added bonus glengarriff is particularly stunning and my guests took advantage of exploring garnish island and some of the many other tourist attractions the next day. It was a fairytale weekend in a dream location. I wish every other couple the same beautiful experience as us.

My wedding should have happened on the 12th of May but had to postpone as my brother in law was diagnosed with leukaemia I rebooked it for 29th September and had to postpone 4 weeks to go as he got a terminal diagnosis everything changed for him over night. I am still to have my wedding in the Eccles Hotel in the not too distant future and they have been amazing to us during a very difficult time. I can't recommend them enough for their support and understanding so far.
