Eccles is the spot to get married.Here are just a few of the things that spring to mind, but there are many more:

1. Mags and Dylan, the wedding coordinators, were fantastic. They never once made us feel pressured, and in the lead-up to our wedding day they gently flagged things we hadn't even thought to organise ourselves.
2. On the day, the weather took a turn (so much for leaving cert weather) when we were due to head out to Garnish Island for photos. Mags sorted us out with dressing gowns, her own coat, and white umbrellas (which looked great in the photos)
3. Mags even knew everyone's name at the top table (all 18 of us).
4. The team in the residents' bar were brilliant on the wedding night and after our day-two celebrations.
5. My dad doesn't drink, but has a favourite milk that isn't sold in shops. The team managed to source it through a trade supplier just for him, which meant a lot.
6. Our guests raved about the food, and the service was exceptional. The monkfish was divine and was a serious slab of fish!
7. The view is fantastic. The weather was a bit stormy during our speeches and the big windows behind the top table was a lovely backdrop. It was sunny during the reception and our guests coul enjoy the sun in the patio.
8. After our ceremony in the Eccles, we took the boat to garnish island for photos and got back in 40 mins, so we had time to enjoy the reception with our guests.
9. The breakfast was unreal - make sure to get the eggs Benedict.
10. Mags even arranged for a local friend of hers to mind our elderly dog nearby.

I'm sure things didn't all go perfectly behind the scenes, but we never knew it. Eccles just handled everything and we could enjoy our day.

We had our wedding here on May 1st 2026 and one of the best weekends ever. The staff could not have done enough. Special mention to Mags the wedding coordinator Mags and Dylan her right hand man were simply the best and no request big or small was ever an issue. The venue itself has wonderful views out over Bantry bay which you only ever see on a postcard. The food is amazing and the service A1 a credit to Eddie and his team.The Eccles now has a special place in our hearts and we cant wait to return in the future.Huge thanks to all involved for making our special day more special,

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding than the Eccles Hotel. From the moment we started planning right through to the wedding day, everything was handled so professionally and with such genuine care.
A special thank you to Mags, our wedding coordinator, who was absolutely incredible. She made the whole process feel so easy, was always on hand to answer questions, and thought of every little detail. Her calm, friendly approach meant we could relax and truly enjoy the experience, knowing everything was under control.
The staff at the Eccles Hotel were exceptional. Every single person we dealt with went above and beyond to make sure not only we, but all of our guests, had an amazing day. The service was outstanding, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was everything we had hoped for.

Our wedding at the Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff this past March was the most special day of our lives. From the moment we arrived until the very last guest left, every single member of the team made us feel so welcome and looked after. The fact that they managed to book the sunshine for March was also a miracle.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. It has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere while still feeling iconic and full of character. The views are breathtaking, and it created the perfect setting for a day we'll cherish forever. Theres plenty of wedding photo ops in the hotel itself aswell as around Glengarriff.

The food was simply out of this world. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. We've had so many compliments from our guests about the quality of the meal, and it's something people are still talking about months later. The local ingredients and ample portions were really welcomed! A huge thank you to the chef and the entire kitchen team for creating such an unforgettable dining experience.

The service throughout the day and evening was exceptional. Whether it was the meal service or drinks at the bar, everything was delivered professionally, efficiently, and always with a smile. The bar staff and servers were absolutely wonderful, making sure everyone was looked after while creating such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Our guests all said the rooms were remarkably comfortable, beautifully equipped, and genuinely felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect place to unwind ( even only briefly for some) after such an incredible celebration. The Bar for the drinks reception with the balcony with seaviews and the ballroom itself where the meal and dancing were held were just perfect. Great dancefloor and we weren't rushed out until we were all spent!

Finally, we want to give a very special thank you to our wedding coordinator Mags. Her attention to detail, organisation, kindness, and support throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself gave us complete confidence that everything was in safe hands. Mags made our dream wedding become a reality, and for that we will always be grateful. The flower arrangements she made were the icing on the cake of the perfect day all around. We won't forget the cocktails supplied at key times either! The height of organisation and the common touch, she really couldn't have done more!

The Eccles Hotel is scenic venue and is like stepping back in time. Our day was fantastic and went off without a hitch, all the Hotel Staff was so helpful leading up to the big and the big day itself. The food was fantastic and free flowing at both the reception, Dinner, and the late-night bites. Now let me get to Mags Donovan Daly our Esteemed Wedding Coordinator, Mags surpassed all our expectations, and we had a lot of them, even bringing in a specific beer on the day especially for me. To wrap up the Hotel is fantastic and well located in such a scenic location, for memorable wedding photos and a memorable day.

My husband and I visited around a dozen wedding venues. When we visited the Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff, the search immediately ended.
It came as a wonderful surprise to have the perfect wedding venue that we never really even thought of beforehand. We met with the hotel manager - David Manning, who runs a tight ship with the perfect amount of charm and professionalism.
Mags, our wedding coordinator, is an absolute superstar. She treats your wedding like it’s her own children’s wedding and makes sure everything runs smoothly. To see her in action is actually remarkable and our day wouldn’t have been the same without her.
Sandra in reception was amazing at sorting all Accomadation needs - any request from simple to awkward was never a problem and she made sure all rooms were of top quality for us!
The food is incredible, the location is spectacular with Garnish Island a short boat trip away for photos and all the staffare absolutely wonderful. If you’re thinking of getting married in West Cork, save yourself the trouble of visiting multiple venues and go straight to the Eccles Hotel first. You won’t be disappointed!!

We had our wedding reception at the Eccles Hotel in June 2025 and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate our large number of guests without ever feeling crowded. The layout worked really well for the drinks reception, dinner, and dancing, and the surrounding views created a lovely getaway experience for everyone.

From a planning perspective, the team made everything very straightforward. Communication in the lead-up was clear and prompt, which really helped reduce stress. On the day, the timing of the meal service ran smoothly, the room was set up exactly as requested, and the staff handled transitions between different parts of the evening seamlessly. The food was also very well received by guests — particularly the beef — and dietary requirements were managed without any issues.

The real standout, though, was the staff. Mags, our wedding coordinator, was exceptional — her communication was unbelievably good before, during, and after the wedding. She made sure every detail was covered and that we always felt confident things were under control. Milo also deserves a special mention for checking in regularly throughout the day and reminding me to eat, which was hugely appreciated when I was distracted chatting with guests!

Overall, the combination of a great venue, smooth organisation, and genuinely attentive staff made it a fantastic place to celebrate. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning their wedding.

We loved the Eccles from the first time we visited. It had an ambiance that at once seemed specifically for us, while also timeless and eternal. We were looking for a venue with old-world, maritime, and literary vibes. The Eccles is all that, while still being warm and grounded. Mags, Eddie, and all the team at the Eccles went above an beyond for us at every stage of the process. Booking was easy, they helped with ideas for the day, and accommodated all the ideas we had. The day itself was relaxed and went smoothly. There is nothing about the day that we would change looking back on it, and it all felt effortless at the time. I could not imagine a better venue or group of people to work with. We owe them the most special day of our lives (thus far).
We had our wedding in the Eccles Hotel in October 2024 and can't say enough about the venue and Mags. In the months leading up to the wedding, Mags was in touch regularly and responded to any questions right away. She really put us at ease in the planning stage, and throughout the day.  She made us feel so special on the day. Her experience and passion were invaluable, and we can't thank her enough. The guests at the wedding all commented on the views from the venue, the food (which was amazing), and how well they were looked after throughout the day. 

We would also highly recommend going to Garnish Island for Photos (though the views at the Eccles are also great), the sacred heart church Glengarriff was fantastic, as was the Blue Loo Bar for day 2.

From the moment we stepped into Eccles and toured the venue for our wedding we were treated like family. The staff were inviting and kind and at the same time polished and professional. Every single person there made us feel like we were cared for and doted on during our wedding weekend. This was not just our experience but everyone who came to the wedding. Even now, months after our wedding, our guests are gushing about the staff, often calling them by their names because that's how memorable each of them were. Dylan, the hotel manager walked us through our dinner menu and felt like a good friend by the time the wedding came, we even saw him at the bar during our day two! Grainne served us breakfast every morning and then when our photographer could not stay for our dinner ceremony she stepped in to take photos for us. The night manager packed some of our guests' breakfast for their long journey back to Dublin early in the morning after the wedding. Mags, our wedding coordinator was with us every step of the way throughout the planning process and then the day of the wedding. I can't convey the competence, care, calm and resourcefulness that this woman oozes. It was like planning our wedding with our own fairy godmother. She was always available for a phone call or quick with an email if you had anything on your mind that you wanted to talk through. Anything you need she waves a wand, she really is magic. Between photographer not being able to stay for the full night to wedding ceremony signer cancelling due to illness the day before somehow Mags was able to put us at ease during a very stressful time and managing the find amazing solution to any problem that arose!

We can’t write a review without mentioning Eddie the chef, all his staff and the amazing food we had through the week from the lovely breakfast spread each morning, the delicious curry we treated 100+ of our guest to the night before, the finger food and finally the amazing dinner course was just incredible and again we received so much great feedback from our guests as well.

Having the spa on site was a great additional, we were able to celebrate with our groom and bridal parties by relaxing by the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge and many of our guests available of the services as well. The staff at the spa were so accommodating and friendly throughout.

When we explain the day of our wedding to people it sounds like a fairytale. Mags helped us coordinate getting our pictures done on Garnish Island, which made the day even more special. The sun was shining all day, there were two swans in the bay and a rainbow overhead as we mingled with everyone for our cocktail hour. The windows in the ballroom made our ceremony feel so bright and beautiful, it truly exceeded any expectation I could've dreamt up. The bar staff seemed to be having as much fun as us throughout the night and stayed up with us until the bitter end. Being able to book out the whole hotel for the weekend made the experience all the more special, I truly could go on and on about our experience at Eccles. I can't express enough gratitude for the gift of the weekend we had. We will be back again and again to reminisce about it. Thank you to everyone at Eccles who gave us this gift of an experience, we deeply appreciate you, especially you Mama Mags!

We were delighted that we held our wedding in the Eccles hotel. It has such a lovely location. We met the wedding planner when we booked the wedding, but for one reason or another we did not meet her again until the day of the wedding. However she was contactable by email. She was very organised and helpful on the day. The staff are very friendly and kind and welcoming. We loved that it was only our guests staying in the hotel the night of the wedding. The rooms, particularly the bridal suite were fabulous. The wedding meal was exactly what we asked for. The reception was also very well done. Glengarriff, particularly the Eccles hotel will always have a special place in our hearts.

We got married at the Bantry House and had our reception at the Eccles Hotel. I can only rave about our experiences. They took such fantastic care of us. We came in from Florida with about 30 guests in our party and they treated us like gold even though by all standards we were a very small wedding. Not once did they treat us like we were anything but special.
Marie was our hotel wedding coordinator and she is absolutely incredible!!! She helped me plan my wedding every step of the way and she went above and beyond for us in ways that are just too numerous to count, but that added up to the most special day of our lives. Without her assistance, we would not have had such a wonderful experience. The Yeats Suite was beautiful, the food was incredible - we had our reception dinner and breakfasts there as well, the ballroom was absolutely gorgeous, and so much attention was paid to every detail. I can't stress enough how wonderfully taken care of we were. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this staff and Marie if you are looking for a beautiful place to get married. We had our wedding reception in the Eccles in April and oh my god I could not say enough good things about it. From start to finish they were there to help us with anything. Marie the wedding coordinator is as cool as a breeze and is super organised! All the staff are so friendly and really go above and beyond. I really couldn't recommend it enough. And the food is amazing too!!

We stayed in Eccles in November for our wedding reception. We stayed for 2 nights and on both days/nights we received the best service, the best professionalism and super friendly staff. Our wedding went without hiccups and the staff were just amazing. We had a great wedding and a great weekend in Eccles - can't wait to go back. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted but even better!

We had our wedding at the Eccles Hotel in October last year and absolutely couldn't fault it. We decided to have our wedding reception there as we had also stayed there on the night we got engaged. From the beginning, Marie was so helpful and always got back to us with regards to any questions we had, etc. One of our main things that we wanted to do right was the food, and the food on the day of our wedding was outstanding. So many of our guests commented on it. Our band loved playing at the Eccles as they could pull up at a door right next to the stage to unload their gear. All the staff on our wedding day were so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond sourcing a piano at the very last minute when they realised the one in the ballroom wasn't working and we had planned on using it during our speeches. We had the best day and wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much to Marie and all at the Eccles Hotel & Spa!

We had our wedding at the Eccles and honestly had the most relaxed, straightforward wedding planning experience and an absolutely perfect wedding day. Marie Dooley, the wedding coordinator is a pro at what she does. She never put us under pressure or made us feel stressed. She was always in hand to answer questions or give advice. She had everything organised to a tee and had some lovely small touches for the two of us on the sat, which were really sweet and very appreciated. The staff were so friendly and professional and the food was the best that many of our guests had had at a wedding in a long time, if not ever. The food is top top quality!! I could not recommend the Eccles highly enough as a wedding venue and I could not have been more impressed with Marie and all the staff. Keep up the great work!!

From when we first went to see the venue to the days following our wedding, the welcome and attention to detail we got was second to none. Marie, the wedding coordinator, is so helpful and creative. All of her suggestions were brilliant and she was always at the other end of the phone to answer any questions or help solve any problems. On the day, everything ran like clockwork. Our guests commented on how efficient the service was, especially when it came to the meal. We had a number of children at the wedding and all the staff were so kind to them and interacted with them throughout the day. We honestly can't speak highly enough of all the staff. From the waiters, bar tenders, cleaners and receptionists, everyone was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. A special mention to Mario and Adrian who made sure we had everything we needed all night.

The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Marie and Eddie were able to accommodate all the dietary requirements and were very flexible in helping us to create a menu we loved.

The venue itself has been recently renovated and while everything feels fresh and new, it still has a beautiful classic and vintage feel. The views are amazing and we were lucky to have nice weather so we could have our drinks reception on the balcony. We also enjoyed being out on the balcony throughout the evening. The bridal suite is amazing and all our guests were delighted with the quality of their rooms.

We would highly recommend Eccles as a wedding venue and we would like to thank all the staff for helping create an amazing experience.

We want to say how absolutely outstanding The Eccles Hotel And Spa were for our wedding on the 21st May 2022. From beginning to end it was faultless. From the very first phone call to Marie their wedding coordinator, she was a joy to deal with. Nothing was ever a problem. The reservations manager Sandra was also fantastic.
And after all the planning the wedding day came and the hotel made our day just magical. Each of the staff are so professional, helpful and friendly.
The food was in the words of our guests "the best they ever had at a wedding".
The location is breathtaking and a beautiful backdrop for photos and again our guests were blown away.
We wish we could do it all again next weekend.

We celebrated our wedding at the beautiful Eccles Hotel Glengarriff, Co. Cork on Saturday the 3rd of August. To say that we were treated like king and queen would be an understatement. From the first day we visited to inquire about holding our wedding there, to our check out after our special day we wanted for nothing. Our wedding coordinator, Rose, is meticulous in everything she does and left no stone unturned for us. Her attention to detail made the wedding look amazing and the feed back from all our guests has been nothing but complementary. All the reception, kitchen and bar staff, led by Sandra, Michael and Adrian were excellent throughout our stay and Chief Eddie, provided us with state of the art food. Even though our morning was wet nothing could put a damper on the amazing ocean and rugged views that surround this hotel. We would highly recommend the Eccles Hotel as a wedding venue and look forward to returning for mini breaks for many years to come! Thanks to all at the Eccles Hotel from Catriona and Larry.

We celebrated our wedding in the Eccles Hotel, Glengarriff on 20th June 2019. To say we made the right decision is an understatement. Everything was magical from start to finish-all we have heard from our guests since is how gorgeous the setting was for our special day!

From the minute that we viewed the hotel, we knew this was where we had to have our wedding. We walked into the foyer and were immediately transported back in time to a world of vintage elegance-fresh and new, yet retaining such character we knew it was something special. We met Rose, our wedding coordinator and she was the nicest, most accommodating person we had met with in all our venue viewings. She showed us around and went through everything with us and once she showed us how beautifully she would decorate and coordinate the room for our wedding, we were sold! She is so incredibly creative and gifted at what she does-every vision I had for the wedding was enhanced and perfected by Rose. We had nothing to worry about-she had the entire room made up to perfection with vintage paraphernalia that gave us the feeling that we were celebrating in an old world of elegant luxury. The year leading up to the wedding was seamless-any time I needed help, someone was there to give us whatever we needed. Be it Rose, Sandra, Michael or Patrick, everyone absolutely bent over backwards for us the entire time right up to the day of the wedding. Sandra, our reservations correspondent, bent over backwards to help us figure out accommodation for guests coming from abroad, and through multiple phone calls she was nothing but gracious and lovely through our awkward requests and made sure we were sorted on the day.

The day of the wedding was nothing short of perfection. The bridal party got ready in the Yeats Suite which is the most beautiful room
I've ever seen, while the grooms party got ready in another room in a different part of the hotel-so that we wouldn't see one another! We were brought up the most beautiful breakfast to the Yeats suite, enough to feed an army. Patrick could not have done any more for us, he was at our beckon call throughout the entire day for whatever we needed. The hairstylist and makeup artist even commented on Patrick, saying that in all the weddings they had done, they had never seen someone so attentive without being overbearing.

The venue on the day was magnificent. Rose had every detail perfect, from the centerpieces to the table plan and everything in between. The little touches made a huge difference. And then, THE FOOD. The food was very important to us as this is what everyone says they remember most from every wedding, so when I say the food was amazing I don't just mean by wedding standards. The chef is nothing short of a culinary genius. Every mouthful was heavenly, we had plenty of food to feed everyone and there was no compromise on the quality of food due to quantity. We felt like we got to treat all of our close friends and family to a gourmet meal. The food was so gorgeous that family members of mine have since travelled back just to have lunch there! Everything was handmade and a lot of it grown on-site by the chef himself. He included homemade white aero with pine in the dessert of apple tarte- these touches really made it personal and unusual.

I can't recommend The Eccles hotel enough, not just for the setting but for the people too. It was truly a perfect day, one we will never forget!

I can honestly give 5 stars to the Eccles for going above and beyond to give us the perfect wedding celebration. The service was outstanding and the venue and setting were just breathtaking. The team at the Eccles made us feel so welcome and treated us like VIPs. From the food which was delicious, to the service to the venue itself I can't praise the team at the Eccles highly enough. We had our wedding reception in the beautiful Eccles hotel in April 2019 and from the first day that we entered the hotel to day we left after our wedding our experience was just fantastic. From the moment we met her Rose, the Eccles Wedding Coordinator, was just outstanding. She was so open and friendly and she made us feel so at ease. She has a wealth of experience and we 100% trusted her to make sure that everything ran smoothly on the day. She more than exceeded our expectations. From the outset she listened to our ideas and really got a sense of what we were going for. I was hoping for a vintage style wedding and she really went above and beyond in styling the venue to suit our ideas. She even added subtle but stunning touches that I hadn't thought of. Throughout the whole planning period she was so accommodating and responsive to my emails no matter how frantic or unorganised I was. She had great advice and I really appreciated her support and professionalism. It was such a comfort to have her there on the day knowing that everything would (and did!) go to plan.

The venue itself is just gorgeous. It's Victorian facade is just stunning and they beautifully restored the interior so it has a real old world feel while at the same time doesn't compromise on comfort. My family and the rest of the bridal party stayed there the night before as the night of and everyone was thrilled with their rooms. They had all recently been redecorated and the bathrooms remodelled so there was the perfect balance of an old world feel with modern comforts. My bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite ( the Yeats Room). It was so bright and comfortable wit beautiful views over the bay in Glengarriff, it was the perfect location to get ready. We ordered a champagne breakfast to the room and the staff were fantastic, so efficient and couldn't do enough for us. We really felt looked after.

And now for the food! I still have people talking to me about how fantastic the meal was 6 months later, it was delicious! We had a goats cheese tartlet to start, so simple but absolutely mouth watering, a soup course followed and then we had our main which was a choice of feather blade beef which was melt in your mouth or salmon with a butter sauce. There was a selection of deserts to follow with something for everyone. We had a few guests with specific dietary requirements but there was absolutely no problem in accommodating them and they had plenty of choice to suit their needs. The wine was flowing which was great. I cant remember which wine we chose but I can tell you that everyone seemed to like it and it complimented the food perfectly. I had a number of fussy and hard to please eaters as guests and I can say hand on heart they all enjoyed the food! We danced the night away and banquet room was the perfect size to accommodate our 200 guests. The bar was in the same room a the dance floor so it kept everyone together which was great. The banquet room also looked out over the bay and as the light darkened out side it really created a lovely atmosphere in the room. We danced the night away into the early morning and didn't want the night to end!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. We had guests arriving from all over the world and the Eccles was the most hospitable hotel you could ask for. We felt so lucky to find them. The staff were ultra friendly and the wedding day itself ran like clockwork. Smoothly, easily and amazingly-Rose had it all organised and was so helpful and kind, along with all the staff. Oh and Eddie the chef-what a talent-the food was utterly delicious!
All the guests commented on what a fabulous time they had at the Eccles which makes Aaron and I so happy.

My wedding should have happened on the 12th of May but had to postpone as my brother in law was diagnosed with leukaemia I rebooked it for 29th September and had to postpone 4 weeks to go as he got a terminal diagnosis everything changed for him over night. I am still to have my wedding in the Eccles Hotel in the not too distant future and they have been amazing to us during a very difficult time. I can't recommend them enough for their support and understanding so far.
