The entire team at the Galway Bay were amazing. Our wedding Co ordinator Stephen goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. The food and service was 5 star! We would highly recommend anyone getting married in Galway to book The Galway Bay Hotel????

We had our ceremony and reception in the Galway Bay Hotel. We had 175 guests. We were lucky to be able to have our ceremony in the smaller function room and then moved to the bigger reception room for the main meal. We were so happy with the wedding overall. Victoria and Allanah were great when we were booking, gave us the full tour and answered all our questions. Closer to the wedding we were dealing with Stephen. He was excellent on the day, always one step ahead and really kept the show on the road. They were friendly, professional and organised. The food was lovely and the service was good. There was plenty of space for all our guests and didn't feel cramped or loud. We had the option of a bar extension until 4am in the wedding room which was great. The location by the beach was great and the garden next door was amazing for photos - we didn't need to travel anywhere once we arrived for the ceremony. Would highly recommend!

We live in the UK and wanted to have our wedding in Ireland. After speaking to many venues it was Victoria at The Galway Bay Hotel who sold it to us, and due to covid at the time restricting us going to see it in person we booked due to the friendly and easy going way the staff seemed. Throughout the whole experience, from start to finish the experience with the staff at the Galway bay was exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful and unfortunately due to weather we couldn’t have the wedding outside like we wanted but the room was done up beautifully. We went for the full unforgettable package and it was worth every penny. We would highly recommend it, it takes all the pressure off you finding someone to do the cake and flowers and thinking of all the other little details too. We both want to say a huge thank you to Stephen and all the team for all your fantastic help and work for it all, we, as well as all of our guests were overjoyed with it all.

Myself and my husband had the most amazing day for our wedding! Our planning was made so easy and enjoyable by Stephen and all the staff in the Galway Bay hotel, from our meal/wine tasting to just random stays we had it was all made so nice for us! I could not recommend the Galway bay enough we are delighted how our day turned out and we would recommend to any couples thinking of here! The decor was gorgeous to! There will never be enough words to properly praise and recommend the high quality of service and food at the Galway Bay Hotel. My husband and I had such an easy planning journey with Stephen our wedding coordinator. No question, job or task was too much! They went above and beyond every single one of our expectations. We had nothing but positive feedback from guests afterwards either. The food was not alone amazing but prompt in service and the hotel was more than generous in offering extra sides etc if asked by guests. If I could do my big day all over again I would pick the Galway Bay Hotel time and time again. Their eye for detail and the friendliness of all of the staff can not be beaten. Their packages are also very competitive with other hotels in the area. They also have plenty of little perks to their packages which saved us not alone money but also stress! One of the most important aspects of the day was the meal running on time as we had a number of elderly guests at our wedding and we were conscious of it being a very long day for them if service went into the late night. The bell was rung and it was such an efficient banqueting system that ensured (god knows how they did it) that our 280 guests were eating at the same time!

Very easy to deal with. No request was a problem. Super friendly and helpful from the get go and our wedding day went off without a hitch. Would highly recommend. Great value for money also with packages. Alot included in comparison to other places we had checked out. Really nice hotel too. Food was fantastic. Everyone had great words about the meal and service.

So happy we chose Galway Bay Hotel as our wedding venue. Such a stunning location and we cannot speak more highly about all the staff at the hotel, everyone was so helpful and professional! In particular, the wedding coordinator Stephen is such an asset to the hotel and made sure that everything ran like clockwork on the day! Our original wedding date of July 30th 2021 had to be postponed due to covid fears, I was quite stressed as I heard other couples at other venues had awful experiences but the team in Galway Bay could not be more helpful. Victoria their wedding coordinator is the best, she made us very comfortable and rearranged a suitable date. Closer to the wedding Stephen Finn the duty manager takes over and he is just a saint we love him he takes care of the whole day. I had initially hired a wedding coordinator, which I later cut to manage budget. I have no regrets Stephen kept everything moving. Trevor in accommodations was also a star, he went above and beyond organising our guests who had mostly travelled down from Derry. As a member of a wedding Facebook group I heard the other couples issues with hotels. I can safely say, Galway bay offers the most in their packages and the team are the best in the business. Thanks again everyone at Galway Bay best day ever!

From the first day we walked into the Galway Bay the service we received was 110%. Stephen and Louise along with front and back of house staff excelled all we could ever expected. The venue has such a public yet private flow. The drink reception area was lovely as it was a private room overlooking galway bay. Then the down stairs ballroom with fairy light backdrop lead to a very late night of dancing and celebrating. We look forward to sharing many more memories at Galway Bay

We had our wedding day in the Galway Bay in March 2022 and we couldnt recommend the hotel highly enough. From our first contact in 2018 to the day we checked out after the wedding they couldn't do enough for us and were so flexible and accommodating to all of our requests (this was our 3rd wedding date due to covid). The staff were amazing throughout and the wedding manager Stephen couldnt do enough and made sure we had everything we needed for an amazing day. The hotel took care of every little detail leaving us to be able to relax both beforehand and on the day. We are still getting compliments about the meal which some said was better than many 5 star hotels they have stayed in before! If your looking for a wedding venue that puts the couple first and is set in an amazing location, on the sea and the fabulous gardens next door for photos then look no further. We've already booked to go back for our anniversary next year. Thank you to the whole team at the Galway Bay for making our wedding day perfect!

Stephen and all his team were simply outstanding. From our initial visit, to the taste tasting and to the big day itself, we were always made to feel very important and treated like royalty. Such a friendly and professional team that ensured our day ran very smoothly and made a lifetime of memories. The Galway Bay Hotel were nothing but amazing from day one! Everyone we dealt with, especially our wedding coordinator Brendan, went above and beyond for us and they made it all so easy. The day itself was absolutely perfect and no request big or small was too much for them. It was our number 1 choice from day one and they really did deliver in every way possible. All the guests agreed and haven't stopped raving about the food, the service and the venue itself. It was the perfect day!

We had our wedding in the Galway bay in August. Everyone raved about the friendly staff, the amazing food and all the extras which were brought out! They looked after everything for us and made the day run so smoothly. The man behind all of this was our wedding manager Brendan. He was amazing, just so efficient and on the ball! I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Nothing was an issue for him. Such a gentleman!

We choose the galway bay hotel after looking at other hotels in galway. The galway bay just has that authentic feel from it. Our day was magical. The staff management & there team just couldn't of done enough for us. From start to finish we felt like royalty. The Galway Bay Hotel is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue because of its location on the Salthill seafront. Its a lovely hotel with sea view rooms and a the balcony where your guests can enjoy the Wedding drinks reception in addition to the lovely sea view lounge. Each member of staff were so professional and friendly and our guests remarked on this. The quality of service is excellent. The food was amazing and they offer a huge menu and cater for all dietary requirements. The Galway Bay hotel offer great value in a range of Wedding packages to suit large or small weddings and we found Kim Amy Waller and Steven Finn very flexible tailoring our package, their advice was invaluable and Steven and the team were very supportive on the big day and ensured it was wonderful for us and our guests. The bride gets to stay in the bridal suite the night before the wedding as part of the package which was just fabulous. We love that it’s just one wedding a day there. The Galway Bay offered the most competitive range of wedding packages and were very flexible.What we liked was booking guest rooms for the night of the wedding was optional unlike so many other hotels who insist on a large number of room bookings at very high rates as part of their packages. We would highly recommend the Galway Bay Hotel for your wedding, we loved it.

Galway Bay Hotel did an excellent job. Not the cheapest venue in Galway but definitely provide good service for the price. The views from the hotel are amazing. Overall I was pleased with the attentiveness of the staff.

We began planning our wedding from Australia in July 2015, and got married in July 2017. We knew we wanted the reception to be in Salthill and visited three hotels there, for us The Galway Bay Hotel was by far the best of the three. One of the packages they offered suited our needs perfectly. We met with the wedding coordinator in the bright and spacious reception area and from day one, I knew that planning the wedding from Australia would be 'do-able.' I wanted reassurance that my emails would be answered in a timely manner as I would not be able to visit or call the hotel. They gave me this reassurance and certainly didn't let me down. No matter the query, it was always answered promptly which meant a lot to me as I was anxious about planning the wedding from the other side of the world. I booked the wedding accommodation online with the reservation team who were always very helpful, not only with me but also with our relatives. I stayed in the hotel two nights before the wedding. I was delighted when I checked in to discover that I would be in the Honeymoon suite for the entire weekend, which made life a lot easier! I met with Stephen Finn, the Senior Banqueting Manager when I arrived at the hotel. Stephen and his team couldn't do enough for us all weekend, from fulfilling small requests to making sure the whole day ran like clockwork in general. The food was excellent and promptly served, everybody particularly enjoyed the theatrics when the main course was served! We were treated like royalty all weekend at The Galway Bay Hotel. I am extremely glad we chose to have our wedding there and would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone getting married in the Galway area. We recently got married in the Galway Bay Hotel and I seriously cannot recommend this hotel enough!! The staff are amazing, so professional and accommodating, all our guests mentioned how nice the staff were to deal with. The food is amazing. So many people commented on the standard of the food. The hotel are very flexible with the menu and quantities. We were travelling for the wedding so I had mentioned that a lot of guests would be hungry by the time they got to the hotel and could we have more substantial food for the drinks reception. The wraps, sandwiches, tapas that came out was amazing! Anyone considering the Galway area for their wedding has to visit this hotel, it is without a doubt the best in the area!!! Special mention to our wedding manager Stephen Finn, he was amazing in the lead up to the wedding and on the day!!

From the moment we walked in the door of the Galway bay hotel to view it as our venue (unannounced) we were greeted by the friendliest staff I have ever come across, we were made feel very welcome from the get go, Stephen the general manager in particular could not have done more for us if he tried, the food was fantastic and all of our guests commented on how good it was and how they were asked if they would like more of anything, the day flowed so well as they are truly professional at want they do in the Galway bay hotel, wish we could do it all again and if we could I wouldn't change a thing.

We recently got married in the Galway Bay Hotel and the day could not have gone better. The staff were amazing and knew exactly what they were doing, we didn't have to worry about a thing, they even packed up all our extra little decorations and brought them to our room for us at the end of the night! It is such a beautiful venue for a ceremony and reception, and the food was amazing!

If I could give more than 5/5 I would. We had two weddings in two different locations and the service at our Ireland wedding at the Galway Bay was amazing. At one point I had a several Manager's around me helping me to carry my dress, veil and champagne. They couldn't have taken better care of us and we didn't have to worry about a thing even given the fact that we organised it all by email from abroad. The food was to die for and Stephen, the manager of our wedding went above and beyond and all of our expectations were exceeded by the wedding venue. If I could do it all over again, I would be right back to the Galway Bay and wouldn't change a thing. Fingers crossed for future christening celebrations at the Galway Bay! :)

We had our wedding at the Galway Bay Hotel in August this year. We would Highly recommend this hotel as a perfect wedding venue. Our wedding planner changed through the process but they were all so professional and made us feel so special. The staff on the day were excellent and many of the guests commented on this. The food and service we received for our wedding was second to none. The Manager Stephen Finn went above and beyond for us with all our requests. Everything on the day was dealt with seamlessly in the most professional manner. We were so happy that we chose this hotel.

The Galway Bay were by far the most professional wedding suppliers that we dealt with throughout the planning of our wedding. Throughout the planning process, they were so precise in getting all of the details we wanted right. In fact, they were far more proactive about the finer details than my husband and I were! Stephen Finn, the banqueting manager, was our liaison person. He was so obliging, nothing was too big a deal for him, and he was a very calming presence in the lead in and on the day. All of our guests commented on how friendly all of the staff were during the stay and on the quality of the food and service. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. This was the 2nd family wedding we have had at the Galway Bay.

From the minute we met with Stephen, Dan and the team we were so impressed. They made us feel so comfortable and special and they were also a bit of fun. No matter what we asked it wasn't a problem and the fact that we got a free meal in the bar after booking was a nice touch!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough for a wedding. We had our wedding in the Galway Bay Hotel in July 2015 and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we booked it they were great but the service they provided over the weekend to our guests and family was just amazing. We had dealings with many of the duty managers before the wedding and they were all very friendly, helpful and professional. On the day Stephen and his team amazed us with their eye for detail and their thoughtfulness. Nothing was too much to ask, they decorated the rooms with decorations we had given them and they put such care and effort into their arrangement- better than I would have done. There were so many personal touches throughout the day that gave us an extra special experience and the team's relaxed, fun and calm manner was just what you needed on such an overwhelmingly special day. The guests at our wedding have not stopped mentioning the excellent service and customer care given to them whether they were staying at the hotel or just attending the wedding. The hotel put huge effort into the drinks reception providing a big range of hot and cold appetisers, scones, cream and jam, chocolate fountain and a big assortment of fruit in a room with views of the beach. This was a big hit with our guests. The food and service was amazing. The waiting and bar staff were excellent and showed such thoughtfulness and kindness towards our guests especially our children's table who were spoilt with attention. They went above and beyond with our kids table, which meant the parents got to enjoy their meals. Stunning location across from the beach, beautiful and quiet park next door to the hotel; both ideal and handy for photos. Excellent value considering all the extras that are included in the wedding packages. We want to thank Stephen so much for his professionalism and helpfulness over the few days. His thoughtfulness and attention to detail helped make the day even more perfect for us. I would definitely recommend the Galway Bay Hotel for a wedding.

They were absolutely amazing for our wedding we had no stress and nothing to worry about when it came to the reception everything was taking care of and ran very smoothly on the day would highly recommend to any couple getting married.

I wish we could do our day all over again. There is nothing I can fault about the Galway Bay Hotel and its amazing staff. The wedding coordinators and managers couldn't do enough for us. But also all staff treat our guests with the best service and a friendly smile. A year on and family and friends are still commenting how great that weekend was, as some guests that travelled spent 3 nights in the hotel. If you are lucky enough to have Orla as your duty manager you are in for a stress free, clock work running, amazing day. No thanks will ever be enough for how great this women is at her job, nothing is forgotten. Keep up the great work Galway Bay.

The Galway Bay hotel were an absolute pleasure to deal with in the lead up to my wedding. In particular I have to mention Steven Finn. He is a true gent. So helpful, efficient and a gentleman to deal with. I would highly recommend the Galway Bay hotel as a wedding venue based on their hospitality, professionalism, food and drink. They really made our day one to remember for all the rite reasons.

I could not recommended this hotel highly enough there was fantastic from being to end .the service staff food was to the highest of standards and no matter what you asked for there was no issue .I only wish I get the chance to go back again as a guest to a wedding .both myself and my husband love the galway bay hotel and any chance we get to go to galway we always try and book a night in the hotel and have dinner . Please look at this hotel you will not be disappointed .

I would highly recommend the Galway Bay Hotel to any newly engaged couple for their wedding day. From our first meeting to our last the morning after the wedding, they were accommodating, helpful & gave us advice on anything we needed. All the staff on the day of our wedding were very welcoming & truly professional, service on the day was also top class. If I was to plan a wedding again I would have no hesitation in returning to the Galway Bay Hotel.

The wedding staff at the hotel were very helpful and understanding as I had to plan the wedding from USA, so their guidance was very much appreciated. They went above and beyond what I expected. Many guests complimented the hotel, especially the food and wine at the wedding, it was a real success and a fantastic time was had by all.

We got married in The Galway Bay Hotel in April 2014 and I could not recommend it more. We are living in Australia and they made it very easy organising from overseas. We only travelled back to Ireland 2 weeks before the big day but all the final organisation was still stress free with the help of the staff. Many of our guests stayed 3 nights and the hotel went above and beyond from the moment we arrived till we left. everyone commented on how great the food was and no one was left hungry as the staff went around offering seconds. on our next visit back to Ireland we are planning to return for a weekend stay!

The Galway Bay Hotel really couldn't have done any more for us on our wedding day. We had a number of meetings with the wedding manager before the big day and nothing we requested was any problem at all. We wanted to have half mulled wine half prosecco for our drinks reception and there was no supplement payable. There was no shortage of canapés and we also had a fabulous chocolate fountain as part of our package. The room looked stunning, especially with the hotels beautiful Christmas decoration's. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and professional. I am a vegetarian as are my mother and sisters and the chef cooked a special meal for us from a recipe I provided- even though I just gave it to him the day before the wedding. All of our guests commented on how good the food was and were delighted that second helpings were offered. The dessert plate was gorgeous and the staff kept pouring wine for anyone who wanted it. I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough for a wedding reception.

Padraic and I got married in the Galway Bay Hotel on the 30th of August 2013. The professionalism and quality of all staff members was outstanding. At our initial meeting we met with Siobhan (Wedding Co-ordinator) and she guided us through our options in a very professional manner. All subsequent communication via email and meetings were carried out in such a way to allow space for questions and ideas to flow. All of our queries were dealt with promptly and the level of communication between the couple and the hotel is exceptional. We had a lot of personal decorations for the ceremony room and this was accommodated on every level. John made the room available the evening before and the evening staff helped with the logistics in the room. They were on hand at any stage for problem solving or if we had any queries. Siobhan and her team decorated the reception room on the morning of the wedding exactly how we had decided on during our meetings. Declan was our duty manager on our wedding day and I cannot praise him enough. At every stage he was courteous, caring and has an unbelievable eye for detail. He even obliged us in our photographs when we needed an extra person! We received so many comments from our guests on the high quality and presentation of the food. Everything ran like clockwork during the meal with a huge level of professionalism from everyone working on the catering team. There was a genuine feeling felt by Padraic, myself and our guests that every level of the team in the hotel were working with us and it made the day absolutely memorable.

We were married in Knocknacarra Church in August and had our reception in the Galway Bay Hotel. From the very moment we decided on your hotel as the venue for our reception, we knew we had made the right decision. Siobhain was just superb, always willing to help, to meet me and to offer advice. Nothing was a problem and she really helped keep me (relatively!) calm in the run-up to the big day. Declan was equally excellent, so professional and so helpful. On the day itself, both Declan and Brian looked after us and made sure that everything ran smoothly. The meal was exceptional and so many of our guests commented on the quality of the food. Bridie was fabulous, as was all of your catering staff. I cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day so special and I would recommend your hotel to everyone. Richard is from Dublin and I am from Tipperary originally, so many of our guests, particularly family members, stayed in the hotel for the weekend. Everyone was so, so impressed. I just wanted to express our appreciation and gratitude.

The whole day ran so smoothly the room was stunning. I cannot recommend the hotel enough. I know it left a big impression on our guest who raved about it and have been repeat guests.

I have placed this as part of our overall wedding review on the forum but just thought I would put it hear as well; I would just like to convey my sincerest thanks to all the staff at the Galway Bay Hotel for the wonderful experience they provided to us and our guests at our wedding this past July. I could not recommend them highly enough; they were first class in everything they did for us. If I was to use one word to describe the Galway Bay it would be Professional, with a capital P! They were fantastic. I would especially like to thank the manager Dan Murphy, our wedding liaison John Frazier and our duty manager on the day Diarmuid O'Conghaile and his colleague Valerie, who were both so professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would also like to give a special thank you to Willie Madden who was a tremendous help to us on the day after the wedding, and also to Victoria and Serge, who were a great help in the days leading up to the wedding. We, as is becoming more common, returned home from Australia to get married, which meant that all the pre-planning had to be done through email and through various family members. As difficult as this was for us, I am sure it was not ideal for the Galway Bay personnel either, however the staff were extremely accommodating and made the whole process as stress free as possible. As we were only arriving in to Ireland two weeks before the wedding they allowed us to hold off on a lot of the final decisions until we could actually sit down with them face to face. They brought us up for a tasting just ten days before the wedding which, as silly as it sounds, was a big deal for my wife as she had missed out on a lot of the traditional planning tasks due to us being on the far side of the world. Not able to decide between a number of delicious choices, we asked the hotel for their recommendations as to what they were most confident with, given the numbers, fresh produce at the time etc., and it was the best choice we possibly could have made. The food on the day was fantastic, different than your usual wedding fair, and we received compliments throughout the night and following days from our guests. It was a large wedding, 300 plus, yet everything went like clockwork, not one hiccup, or if there was we certainly weren't made aware of it. We were absolutely blessed with the weather, and it really brought out what a stunning location the hotel is in. The patio deck, with the sun shining and the sea breeze, it really doesn't get any better than that. Even our guests from Australia were blown away. As impressive as the staff were on the wedding day, I dare say they were even more impressive on the following day. We had talked with them in the week prior to the wedding about having some sort of food available on the day after the wedding as a number of our family members and friends had planned to stay on in Galway for a second night. They recommended a BBQ which we decided to go with, even though we couldn't give them final numbers until that day. The numbers fluctuated on the morning after the wedding from 60 to the final figure of 120, yet the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and it went off without a hitch. They set up the BBQ in the sunshine on the patio deck and served a beautiful meal, with plenty of food for everyone. Admittedly, the fabulous weather played a large part in the success of the BBQ, but we got so many compliments from our family and friends afterwards, it was the perfect way to round off a great weekend. I really cannot recommend this venue highly enough, and my wife and I cannot wait to go back when we are next home, to once again convey our thanks and reminisce on the greatest weekend of our lives.

I wish to Thank the Galway Bay on our wedding day that took place the 26th August 2011. The moment we commenced meeting the those involved in organising, their professionalism, the hospitaliltyon the day of wedding,the food was delicous all people enjoyed the food,wine outstanding. The hotel staff amazing so helpful and friedly the waiting staff also.Special thanks to Victoria the wedding co ordinator, John duty manager and Valerie they made our day so special. We had a fantastic experience.

My husband and I recently got married in the Galway Bay hotel at a civil ceremony. The fact that we live in London didn't matter at all as Victoria and her team helped in every way they could to make things easier for us.We booked the civil ceremony package with Vogue events through the hotel and I'm delighted that we did as the room was transformed into a fairytale!! Details down to the rose petals (matching the bridesmaids dresses!) on the white carpet isle, the candles and fairylight back drops were breath taking.For anyone not wanting the whole church thing, go have a chat with Victoria!!!Most of our guests travelled from London and all were blown away with the hospitality of the hotel, the quality of the food and the service. I must also thank John and Valerie on the day. Thanks to all the team and staff for an unforgettable day!!

My Husband and I got married June last year and i just wanted to share our wonderful experience with you. Our wedding was fantastic and we would not have done anything different. Our reception was held in The Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill and in my opinion it is the only place to have your wedding reception. From the very first time we walked into The Galway Bay in April 2008 we were treated so so well and this was to continue right up to our wedding day. From day one the whole wedding team especially Victoria and John were brilliant. Anything at all they could do they did it and even more. On the day of our wedding absolutly everything was first class. The food, service everything was outstanding. Most of our guests commented on the food and service how great it was. We have been to a couple of weddings there since and everything was fantastic also. If future couples are thinking hotels in Galway definetly consider The Galway Bay as i could not praise them highly enough.
