Ravenport Resort

We had our wedding at Ravenport Resort on the 2nd of August 2026 and, honestly, it was absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a better team to look after us.

Myself and Kev first met Harry, the General Manager, at the Ravenport wedding open day in January 2026. We ended up booking our wedding for August, which meant we only had a few months to plan everything! From the very beginning, Harry and the entire team at Ravenport made such an effort to work with us, understand what we wanted and help us get everything right. And my God, they did, it was perfect.

We had around 180 guests, so it was a fairly big wedding. We had our ceremony outside on the deck, our drinks reception around the bar, restaurant and deck area, and then our dinner and evening reception in the Montgomery Suite. Everything flowed so seamlessly from one part of the day to the next.

In the months leading up to the wedding, we had a few meetings and visits to the hotel with family members and some of our suppliers. Every single time we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. We always left feeling happy, reassured and excited about the day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and there was never a sense that something was impossible. The genuine care and attention Harry gave to our wedding was incredible.

On the day itself, everything just happened around us. We didn’t have to think about timings, where people needed to be or what needed to happen next. Harry and the team had everything under control, and that is something you don’t fully appreciate the importance of until you’re actually in the middle of your wedding day.

One of my favourite moments of the entire wedding was actually during the meal. Myself and Kev sat back for a minute and looked around the room. Everyone was enjoying their food, laughing, chatting and having such a good time, and we could see Harry coordinating everything so seamlessly in the background. We just looked at each other, smiled and said, “Jesus, thank God we chose here.” That probably sums up exactly how we felt about Ravenport.

The food was absolutely incredible and was probably the biggest compliment we received from our guests. Serving around 180 people while keeping the quality of the food and service that high is no small thing, but they absolutely nailed it. So many people told us how delicious the food was and how impressed they were with the hotel as a whole. The drinks, service and entire wedding package were fantastic too, and we genuinely felt it was amazing value for the quality and experience we received.

We’ve had so many compliments about Ravenport since the wedding. Of course, people always tell you they had a lovely time after a wedding, but when they bring it up again every time you see them, or message you afterwards specifically to tell you how impressed they were with the hotel, the food and the whole day, you know they genuinely mean it. That has been so lovely for us to hear.

I’m originally from Dublin, Kev is from Wexford and we live in Wexford, so the location was ideal for us. We had lots of friends and family travelling down who stayed in the hotel, while our Wexford friends and family were close enough to get home easily. The rooms are gorgeous and so comfortable, and the location gives you the best of both worlds, close to Wexford town, but far enough away that it feels like you’ve gone somewhere special, with the beach right there too.

The following morning really showed us how much our guests had enjoyed the whole experience. When we came down for breakfast, some people were heading off to the beach for a walk or a swim, while others were going to use the hotel pool. Nobody seemed in any rush to leave! When people are still happily hanging around and enjoying the place the day after a wedding, even while dying with hangovers, I think that says a lot! 😂 It made the wedding feel like more than just one day, especially for everyone who had travelled to be there.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Ravenport Resort highly enough to anyone considering having their wedding here. The venue is beautiful, the food is incredible, the rooms are gorgeous, the setting is perfect, the package is brilliant value and, most importantly, the people running it genuinely care about giving you an amazing day.

And finally, Harry is the man! 😂 From the first day we met him to the wedding itself, he made us feel like our day genuinely mattered to him. He was calm, organised, accommodating and somehow seemed to be everywhere at once without anything ever feeling rushed or stressful. Knowing he was there and had everything under control allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our wedding.

Harry and the entire Ravenport team, thank you so much for everything you did for us. We would choose the Ravenport all over again in a heartbeat. You gave us the most amazing wedding day and memories we’ll treasure forever. 🤍
