We had our most special day here from the moment we paid our deposit they were absolutely amazing. Our wedding coordinator rebecca was outstanding anything we needed help on or wasnt sure of she was able to help us . She kept everything running so smoothly on the day and we cant thank her enough for all she done..Everything from staying the night before the wedding to the food and drink was fabulous they couldnt do enough for us. highly recommend the shamrock lodge hotel for your wedding they literally go above and beyond for you and just want to thank paddy alan warren rebecca and staff for making our day so special.

Rebecca the wedding coordinator was always at the end of an email and kept in constant communication with us through the planning. I stayed the night before the wedding in the apartments and was given a,run through of the room for the next day. Raj and Warren were exceptional in looking after us. Lots of our guests noted the same. This was invaluable in the smooth running of the day. Would highly reccomend the Shamrock Lodge as a wedding venue

Our wedding day from the very start went flawlessly with the excellent help from Rebecca. She was extremely helpful leading up to the wedding making sure every detail was in place. On the day, staff were excellent . Food was delicious as always and every one complimented the dinner afterwards. Alan and Paddy were on hand at all times to make sure everything went smoothly. We had our wedding at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, a month ago and we would like to thank Paddy,Alan,Warren, Rebecca and all the staff for making our day so special. The food was excellent and all our guests were very well catered for. The gardens were amazing and we got some beautiful wedding photos taken there. I?m not sure where to start for this absolutely incredible experience. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at The Lodge, I knew we had found the best venue for our wedding after meeting Alan the owner & Warren the manager. To begin with, Alan & Warren were very attentive & genuinely wanted to make our event perfect. They listened to my ideas, vision and helped us find the perfect options for us. Honestly, absolutely everything they provided exceeded our hopes and expectations. The entire process of planning was so easy, they made every effort to accommodate us in every way to make it the most special day. They were always quick to respond, making communication simple. Deborah the reservation manager was amazing as we had many room changes etc. The drinks reception was well arranged as we had a large number of guests attending our wedding. The main ballroom was dazzling & the backdrop, recommended by Alan was really appealing to the eye. The plated meals and their presentation were outstanding, everyone was so impressed with the food & service. During the reception, the staff were amazing and kind to everyone, and treated us, literally, like royalty. Our friends and family raved for weeks about how incredible everything was, saying it was the perfect mix of class and unpretentiousness. Even my 8 year old daughter could not believe the quality of everything and has declared she wants to have her communion in the Shamrock Lodge. I cannot recommend this venue, and all of its staff, enough. I wish we could do it all again at The Shamrock Lodge. A million thanks to Alan, Warren, Deborah & all the staff for giving us an unbelievable day, and memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

We cannot thank all the management & Staff at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel enough for everything they did for us in the lead up to our Wedding. The whole team were a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend Alan and his staff enough. Alan has been a dream to work with from the first time I rang him to have a look at the hotel. Everything went so smoothly both in the run up and on the day of the wedding. His staff are a credit to him, each one of them were so polite and helpful. If you want a wedding day that will run smoothly and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the day then 100% book your wedding with Alan or Mary in the Shamrock Lodge in Athlone. The beautiful grounds are a major plus for pictures or for the small ones to play the day away.

Would highly recomend the shamrock lodge we had amazing expernce with the whole staff from the beging of plaining to our big day. Food is out of this world. Whatever size wedding you want they will cater from 20- 200. We both really enjoyed our day from start to finnish they are the most helpful down to earth people you will ever deal with and make wedding plainning so much more enjoyable. We decided to go ahead and contact the Shamrock mostly based on feedback from other people who had attended weddings at the hotel before and were very pleased with all the service. And we are very glad we had taken this route, because the Shamrock team were amazing and competent with the ceremony and dinner. Mary was with us through the whole process and made sure all our requests were attended to. On the day, we were taken care of with utmost care and that made the day unforgettable not only for us, but for our guests as well, whom only had great things to say about the service provided, like the abundance of food and drinks for reception and dinner and its quality. Where do I begin with with the Shamrock Lodge Hotel .....
We got married there in July 2022 and absolutely everything went perfect.
All the staff in the Lodge are so helpful. From Paddy, Alan, Warren and Mary to all reception, bar, serving and housekeeping staff, they are honestly so accommodating and helpful.
I can honestly say I didn't have to worry about anything, their calm and happy demeanor is really felt and remembered, you know you're in good hands.
Nothing was too much to ask Mary or any of the lads. The food is always absolutely unreal.
It really is a special family hotel and they make you and yours feel part of theirs!
We would without a doubt recommend the Shamrock Lodge, we have already and will continue to into the future.

From Start to Finish our wedding was perfect, we have had many occasions in the lodge throughout the years so we already knew we were in excellent hands. The staff could not be more helpful, the food was excellent and table service equally. The management Alan, Warren, Mary, Debbie ,Paddy and Jason were a pleasure to deal with, they helped us and guided us throughout all the planning of our big day and made everything stress free. The facilities and gardens are kept in pristine condition and made for excellent pictures, the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms are a credit to them. I could not recommend the Shamrock Lodge highly enough for a wedding venue or in fact for any function. They most certainly live up to their motto "Let our Family Look after yours" they went above and beyond this. Excellent Hotel, excellent group of people.

From start to finish the hotel was so accommodating we couldn?t thank them enough. From the wedding coordinator to the waitstaff everyone was so lovely. We had no issues with anything as whatever we wanted or needed was taken care of straight away.

We held our wedding at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel at the end of May this year. From the moment we had our initial meeting with Warren way back at the start of 2020 we knew it was the venue for us! Unfortunately due to COVID we had to postpone the date and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. I cannot speak highly enough of the service that we received from Alan and his team, every member of staff we spoke to along the way was so friendly and helpful. There is very much a family feel to the hotel and they cannot do enough for you to make your day special, from accommodating those personalised requests to answering numerous emails along the way! We got blessed with the weather on the day, and without any issue the hotel allowed us to make that last minute decision to have our drinks reception moved to the garden and had it beautifully set-up for when our guests arrived. The dinner and timeliness of service on the day was also excellent, although I would expect nothing less as they are well known in the area for the quality of food on offer. I would highly recommend the Shamrock Lodge Hotel to anyone thinking of getting married in the Midlands, my only disappointment is that we can't do it all over again!! :) A sincere thank you to Paddy, Alan and all the team at the Lodge.

Daniel & myself got married on 29th April 2022. From the time we met Alan, Paddy Warren, Mary & their class team nothing was a chore for us. We instantly felt a sense of family homely warm vibes. Nothing was a problem, anything we wanted to know about, whether it be about entertainment to table signs to food, it was answered straight away, and everything was facilitated for. From the entrance we received on our wedding day, to the gorgeous Shamrock Lodge grounds, to the ballroom, to the unbelievable food. (And so much food :) :) ). To the accommodation, it was simply magical. We and our guests felt right at home on the day of our wedding. Alan and his team went above and beyond for us. It's a day & night we will never forget. Our family and friends are still complimenting the delicious food and the excellent service that was provided on the day. In their words "one of the best wedding venues they have attended, with the best food there is".

Amazing place for a wedding!!!!
We just got married here in April and I cannot recommend it enough. My now husband is local to Athlone but I am not so I had never attended a wedding here before. From the first meeting with Alan what appealed to me most was how relaxed it all felt there and that?s exactly how the wedding day went. It is a great location, with beautiful decor inside and fab grounds. The garden onsite is perfect for taking pictures at or for an outdoor ceremony which we had intended on and while the weather was lovely on the day of the wedding it had been raining the days before so grounds were too wet but would have been fab, there are really so many photo opportunities on the grounds. We had our ceremony inside and it worked out lovely. I really wanted to do the d?cor myself for the day and the hotel were so helpful and supportive. The self-catering apartments on site are also ideal for hair and make-up if you wished to stay the night before which we did. The food was honestly really great and so many people commented about how good it was. The Manager Alan, Paddy, Warren and Mary all the staff were amazing and so helpful the entire way through from the lead up, on the day and the night, I could not say enough about them. Would highly recommend this hotel.

When choosing our wedding venue, we knew we were going to have it at Shamrock Lodge Hotel as it is a family run hotel. We have always loved the hotel for nights out, party nights etc., and it exceeded our expectations as a wedding venue. It was the best day ever. Prior to our wedding, looking for a venue, when we first stepped into the Shamrock Lodge, there was a feeling of having come home, almost like, we finally arrived. Having visited endless hotels, and drank questionable cups of bottomless coffee across the north-west, we finally had hope.
Having arrived at the hotel, we both quickly realised that the warmth of the Shamrock Lodge, Athlone, somehow evoked both our childhoods and our future together. At this point ?we were only in the foyer. This place has magic.
The receptionist?s smile caught us both by surprise, so genuine. All hotel receptionists smile, but here, you could almost taste a genuine sense of tradition in her greeting, a tradition that was respected and upheld by all the staff in this family run business. This hotel clearly cares for their staff, and it shows and pays off and this will show on your wedding day, staff that care and take genuine pride.
The management staff welcomed us and brought us through the different options, and the complimentary pint was very welcomed after buckets of coffee elsewhere.
Having chosen the Shamrock Lodge within minutes, we both knew this was the place without a doubt.
The day we arrived at the Lodge, after getting married, that feeling of coming home - our family and friends around us cheering us on- the feeling of togetherness, was somehow and uniquely echoed in the service, the architecture, and the environment, in this family-run Irish business.
The staff are just that bit better than other establishments that we experienced? they seem to care that bit more. That is what makes the difference on yoru big day. They know their customer, they spend that extra minute, the food is that bit more tender and the wine seems sweeter.
Practically, for photographs, the grounds are amazing, curling in the driveway in your wedding-car is quite an experience!
One the day, management was never more than a glance away, for the entire night, which for us was most impressive.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, was a problem, and most impressively, the overall price reflected our budget and they worked with us, a young couple starting out!
We could speak about the beautiful, mouth-watering food, or the cream that was the Guinness, or the architecture that is a resplendent reflection of years of a family-owned business that has moved with the times whilst never having forgotten its roots, however, that would overlook the receptionist or the bar staff, or the cleaning staff who make this hotel what it really is, a place of absolute comfort, style, elegance, and a genuine Irish welcome and these are the tradespeople who will make your day, finely trained experts in their own craft.
This hotel is a sophisticated Irish home. It is your chance to experience what you want in your heart, what you can see, yet cannot find. This hotel, its staff and facilities are what you are searching for.
Working alongside them (in terms of preparation, in advance) is so easy, no panic, no drama, just professionalism diluted with understanding.

We both feel so thrilled, so happy, and so relieved having found and chosen the Shamrock Lodge, Athlone, for our wedding venue. We cannot wait to go back to visit soon for our anniversary, and many more to come, please God.

We recently had our wedding in The Shamrock Lodge and couldn't be happier with how the day went, and a lot of it was down to the hotel. Alan was so easy to deal with before the wedding and nothing ever seemed like it was too much. We had our ceremony in the hotel. I had wanted to decorate a lot myself and the hotel were so accommodating allowing me to have as much input as I wanted whilst also being so helpful and taking care of us and our guests on the day. The hotel looked beautiful and had that relaxed feel that we wanted. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the hotel staff, food, and the atmosphere was, and everyone had a great time.

The hotel ensured that the current guidelines were followed making sure everyone felt like they were in a safe environment, while at the same time, making the day feel as normal as it would have felt pre-covid. We can't fault the hotel for their service before and during the day of our wedding. Alan and the team have gone above and beyond. I have been at the hotel for other events over the years and I have never had a bad experience. We would highly recommend The Shamrock Lodge for weddings and any other event!

We knew that we made the best decision for choosing Shamrock Lodge Hotel as a venue for our wedding reception. From planning, up to the day of the wedding, the Shamrock Lodge team gave their best to accommodate our request and preferences. We had our wedding in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on the 31st of July, 2021. To say we had the best day ever is the understatement of the year. It was more than either of us could have ever dreamed of. The hotel and wedding coordinating team were so accommodating and made sure that we were always happy with everything leading up to the wedding. From the moment we met with the coordinator when we were viewing the hotel, we knew that we had found the perfect place. The welcoming atmosphere and the bubbly personalities that we met walking through the door just captured our attention and instantly put smiles on our faces. You can really tell that it is a family run hotel, as all the staff really come together and present as a strong, caring family unit.

Warren and Mary worked tremendously hard behind the scenes and on the weekend of our wedding. There was no question too big or too small. There is usually a lot of stress around wedding planning, but Mary took all that stress away and replaced it with fun and laughter. You feel very much at ease planning your wedding with the coordinators. There was fantastic attention to detail from service, to food, to d?cor and function room layout. The hotel team was always so attentive and ?on the ball?. The food was exquisite and is something so many of our guests raved about after the wedding. The private garden beside the function room is the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. There was a lovely flow to the day from drinks, to the reception, to photos and meal, to first dance. Everything ran perfectly smoothly and that is due to the exceptional organization and work carried out by the Shamrock Lodge team.

The team at Shamrock Lodge couldn't possibly do any more for us. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was the most magical day for us. They welcomed any ideas that we had in mind and were incredibly accommodating. If we were to do it all again, we definitely would pick the Shamrock Lodge Hotel.

After having viewed a few venues, Stephen and I chose Shamrock Lodge Hotel as the place we wished to hold our wedding reception back in 2019. The world was then hit by a global pandemic, which added in no small way to the stress that already comes with planning a wedding.

Mary, Alan and all the staff at Shamrock Lodge Hotel were a huge help in this time. Their patience and understanding of the situation we were in as restrictions were imposed, and we were unsure if we would proceed with the wedding as planned, was of great reassurance to us. They never once put us under pressure and indeed our table plans were changing right up until the week of the wedding. Again this was no problem. As a couple, this was the most important factor for us in dealing with the hotel. There was no problem too big or too small and they accommodated us with every request.
On the day the service from the staff was top class, and the food was exceptional. The beautiful gardens are a perfect backdrop for photos of the day as well. The room was beautifully decorated for the day, and we were delighted with how the wedding went. All present had a great night and were highly complimentary of the hotel.

We couldn?t recommend these guys enough. We have celebrated so many occasions in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel and have never been disappointed. After a number of times rescheduling, we finally had our wedding and everyone was so helpful. They went above and beyond for us. Paddy, Alan, and Warren were on hand during the weeks leading up to our wedding and for the entire day, always checking in with us in case we needed anything. The rooms were decorated so beautifully and they even went out of their way to source specific d?cor for the ceremony room that we had liked. The food and service was amazing, as always. When we had to cancel our wedding in June, we rescheduled to 5th December 2020, I was a bit wary of a Christmas wedding. It wasnt a wedding i had imagined but Alan McCaul reassured me all along and said Dont be worried, it will be perfect and Boy was he right!!! The Shamrock Lodge was amazing last Saturday. Not only was our weather fabulous but our venue was amazing! Everything was top class, the food, the decor, everything was amazing. if you have any doubts about a small wedding, put your trust in Alan mcCaul and it will be perfect.

When we set out on our journey of planning our wedding at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, we never dreamt that a pandemic would hit and have us rearranging everything. Our wedding was held on 20th November 2020 where only 25 guests could attend.
During the planning everyone at the Shamrock Lodge went above and beyond to help us with any queries or questions we had.
The support we received throughout the whole year was exceptional. From changing our original wedding date, to reducing our guest numbers to safety measures, the list was endless. Nothing was too big or too small of an ask.

When we arrived for our big day, everything was beyond perfect. Alan and the team are outstanding at what they do. The drinks reception, the food and the room layout and decoration was beyond what we could have imagined under covid restrictions.
We were so happy we went ahead with our wedding and could not recommend the Shamrock Lodge enough.

Had our wedding here this year on the 14th Feb 2020. It was absolutely amazing... Mary, Alan, Paddy, Warren and every single staff member was just brilliant to deal with...

Every meeting we had with Mary - she was just amazing. She went through every single detail and so did Warren, Alan and Paddy. I even broke their poor hearts over changing the table plan few times - we had 256 people sitting for dinner. And Warren was great organising that for us. The food was excellent, piping hot when it came out. They were always on the other end of the phone if anything needed to be asked. We had a civil ceremony in the hotel and that too was organised very well. They all make you feel like as if you were family. It is such a nice homely and welcoming hotel. All my guests were saying after the wedding that it was so relaxing and personal for a wedding. When I arrived to the hotel, I was very nervous. Warren and Alan were at the door waiting for me to arrive. I needed to use the bathroom and had to take off my train on the back of my dress. Alan and Warren were such gents that when I came out of bathroom with my bridesmaid the two lads put on my train and had us all in knots laughing - they were just amazing at the way they cooled my nerves. My Photographer even got a picture and it actually is lovely to have. Also on the day Mary Glynn who just went beyond her way to make sure everything was perfect. It was her day off and she even came in to see us on the day. We are so so happy we had our wedding here as we both are from Ballinasloe. It was just perfect - 10 out of 10. Having had such a fantastic wedding day in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel we thought it would be a nice idea to share our experience for other couples to read. It also gives us another chance to thank everyone at this hotel for making ours such a great day.

We decided to have our wedding at this hotel having attended a few weddings here as guests and thoroughly enjoying every one of them. Planning a wedding can be a daunting prospect but we have to say our whole experience in dealing with the management and staff was a pleasure. Nothing was a problem for them to organize. Their help and assistance in ensuring all of our requirements were met were second to none. Also their attention to detail was fantastic.

The whole process from the start - an evening chat with Paddy, to the meetings we had with Mary, who was exceptional in her assistance with the whole planning process, to Alan and the team who looked after us and our guests on the big day - to the finish was flawless. The management and staff could not have done any more to make our wedding day such a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The incredible work that the staff had done in each of the rooms we used during our day was a credit to their dedication on making sure that our day was very special not only for us but also for them. From the room in which our marriage ceremony took place, to the reception room and on to the dining room, we appreciated how much they cared as the decor in each room was done beautifully. It is quite simply a fantastic venue and our day could not have gone any better.

We had been to previous weddings at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel and another hotel was never an option. From the moment we sat down with Alan to the day after our wedding, Warren, Alan, Paddy and all the staff were with us all the way. No request was to big or small. The decor, the food, the staff - everything was amazing. We and all our guests were looked after so well. If you are thinking of booking this hotel for your big day you will not have any regrets. They can't do enough for you and I will always recommend this hotel for any event, not just weddings.

Absolutely brilliant wedding venue, we had the day of our dreams nothing was 2 much for the staff Warren Alan and paddy were amazing to deal with from day one when we booked our wedding. There is nothing I could fault it was perfection food location and staff fab!! We got married the end of November and the hotel was done up so beautiful for Christmas it was stunning really added to the day!! Can't rate the shamrock lodge any higher 10/10 always!!
