The staff were friendly, helpful and super-efficient - Marion especially went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. The function room was an ideal size and elegantly decorated. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented and more than copious enough for healthy Irish and Polish appetites! The rooms were big and comfortable with every convenience available and the breakfasts in the Mill Restaurant were great.
There were other little touches that made it exceptional - the mulled wine and scones to warm people coming in from the cold after the church ceremony, the staff preparing and putting aside breakfast for some of the bride's family who had to leave the hotel at 4.30 in the morning to catch a flight, the Presidential Suite (which was beautifully appointed) left available for the bride and groom all day after the wedding, though they were not booked in that night, and lots of other little details and services that really added to the enjoyment of the weekend.
I would definitely recommend this place for a wedding, or for a long weekend or holiday. Its a great location, within walking distance of Blarney Castle, shops, pubs, etc., and a great base for travelling around Cork.
