Ruthanna Makeup

I knew from the second I started wedding planning that I wanted Ruthanna to do my make up.

From the moment I first contacted her, to the morning of the wedding, everything was stress free.

For my trial before the wedding, Ruthanna guided me through skin care for my difficult skin which really helped in the lead up to the big day. She listened exactly to my requests and we worked towards a perfect look for our day.

I have a scar that I wanted covered up on my shoulder for the day, and Ruthanna carefully colour corrected it, even taking a photo to make sure it didn’t show up in a photograph. This made me feel so confident on the day because it is normal something I am self conscious about.

On the day, I had a big break out on my face. No hassle for Ruthanna though, who covered it up like an expert and made me feel like the best version of myself. My make up lasted the full day and night, through lots of dancing.

Ruthanna seamlessly did my make up, mother in law and 4 bridesmaids with time to spare so we weren’t rushing. Ruthanna is very gentle as she works, which is an added bonus.

Ruthanna was just incredible from day one. She was very responsive and kind in her emails and messages. I was very happy to be working with her. I was unable to do a trial before the wedding but it didn't even matter on the day. She was so attentive and lovely and made me look amazing for the day
Before the wedding day, she very kindly laid out the plan of the day and what to expect.

On the day of the wedding, she was so kind and really helped everyone relax. It was so lovely to have Ruthanna be a part of getting ready. She was kind and genuine and had amazing chats. I learned so much from her. With regards to makeup she was very professional, she ensured that the makeup was specific to the person and was very open to feedback. I cannot praise her enough. I was talking about the lovely experience with my bridesmaids and friends for days after the wedding.

One of the bridesmaid was a bit late arriving and Ruthanna stayed back to complete the makeup and ensured touchups for me and my bridesmaid.

I couldn't recommend Ruthanna enough. She was truly incredible and anyone would be lucky to have her be a part of their day.

I came across Ruthanna through my photographer's podcast. Her knowledge and experience spilled over in abundance.
We did multiple trials as I wanted a bridesmaid trial too and I was totally blown away.

Ruthanna was warm and personable and dedicated to achieving the desired look and she 100% delivered with all 7 of us. I obviously wanted to look my best on the day but my concern was looking too made up as I don't wear makeup regularly but I need not have worried, Ruthanna had me feeling fabulous and it lasted until we stopped at 5am!

There are not enough stars to give. Totally amazing.

Ruthanna was absolutely fantastic. From the trial to the big day it all went so smoothly.

She took into account what look I wanted and adapted it to fit my features. I had a lovely warm look that lasted all day. My makeup never felt heavy but when I went to take it off at 4am there was still plenty left.

My bridal party's make up was also flawless. Ruthanna was able to give all of them a cohesive but individual look, and we all felt very comfortable on the morning getting ready.

10/10, would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Ruthanna was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. So warm, friendly, calm and professional, nothing was a problem and boy does she know her makeup.
On my wedding day, my skin was glowing and my make-up was so well done. Plenty of coverage without being in any way over the top. I felt totally me albeit a better job of make-up me. And what's more, my bridesmaids were delighted with Ruthanna aswell, they couldn't believe how well they looked.
Importantly, Ruthanna is a calming influence that you want around on the morning of your wedding. Nothing is stressful and you can trust her with your life that make-up will be done to an amazing standard. Everyone said I looked stunning on my wedding day! Thanks Ruthanna!!!!!

Ruthanna was so lovely to have for my wedding in July 2022. She was super organised and professional prior. A lovely calming presence on the day while doing an amazing job. I felt she really listened to how I normally do make up and what I wanted for the day. My family loved her as well.

Ruthanna is a wonderfully talented make-up artist and she was the perfect person to spend the morning of my wedding with! She was the very first make-up artist I contacted when we started planning the wedding, and I was thrilled that she was available for my date. Ruthanna has such a positive attitude and has a very calming way about her, all the while enjoying the craic with whoever is around! Ruthanna's professionalism was evident in the run up to the wedding as she was always very easy to communicate with and was on hand to answer any questions/queries and address any skin concerns. You can tell her experience is second to none as she knows exactly what will suit the varying skin types. Ruthanna is also hugely knowledgeable with regards to what products are currently on the market and where you can purchase the different items to suit your budget. I absolutely loved my wedding make-up! and my mother and bridesmaids felt the same. I cannot speak highly enough about Ruthanna, I would highly recommend Ruthanna to any future brides in Bandon/Cork/Munster.

Ruthanna is an absolute pro and was so brilliant from first contact to the trial and the morning of the wedding. She did makeup for 7 people and was so efficient and put us all at ease, everyone was delighted with their makeup, and it lasted all day and well into the night. I have dry skin with red patches and she somehow managed to cover everything beautifully without looking like I was wearing a lot of makeup. Ruthanna was such a kind, calming presence on the day and we all loved chatting to her, she is so knowledgeable about skin care and makeup and gave me some great tips and recommendations which have really improved my skin. Ruthanna is an amazing makeup artist and person and I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Ruthanna was the make up artist at my wedding in Cork in October and she was absolutely fantastic! I knew straight away when I met Ruthanna at the trial that I could put my full trust in her and she would take very good care of me and the bridesmaids on the wedding day! We were all delighted with our make up on the day and it made the morning really relaxing and enjoyable. Ruthanna was absolutely fab.
I had acne as a teenager and as a result I have some scarring and large pores. She was so helpful during my trial and made me feel so at ease.
I was pretty specific with certain aspects of how I wanted my makeup and she was brilliant, and she was great help with the the rest and finding what way was going to make me feel the most beautiful.

On the day of the wedding she made everyone feel at ease and was able to give us tips on self care. She even gave us little cotton buds etc in case there were tears... which there were.

I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day; and my bride squad were stunning too.

Ruthanna was the make up artist for my sisters wedding in August.
She is an excellent make up artist and I would really recommend her.
I was delighted with my make up and also with the personalised attention I got.
Ruthanna asked my preference, what my skin was like and throughout the makeup application was happy to answer questions and also checked in with me as she progressed as to what I thought of the make up, did I want more or less etc.

Ruthanna was a lovely presence in the room the morning of the wedding, she is very friendly and good craic and very conscious of making sure everyone feels comfortable in how they look.

She was very mindful of the bride and was she happy and comfortable in how she looked.

I would highly recommend her!
I am only sorry she lives so far away and I can't use her more regularly!

Ruthanna is fantastic, she does the most beautiful makeup but also entertains, chats, laughs, makes everyone at ease and adds something special to the wedding morning when getting ready. I loved having her there and I was absolutely thrilled with my makeup, as were my bridesmaids, my mum, my aunt, my sister in law....she had a busy morning but was calm, thoughtful and thorough throughout. I would 100% recommend her, and just sad we can't do it all again!

From the initial booking, to the trial, to the morning of tje wedding, Ruthanna was absolutely fantastic to work with. She did make up for myself, the bridesmaids and my mum on the morning of the wedding and we couldn't have been happier with how it looked! Ruthanna is such a lovely person and brilliant at her job'she clearly loves what she does!! There were six of us for makeup the morning of my wedding. Being the bride, she scheduled me in 2nd so that she could come back to me for a touch up at the end but she gave all of us the same time and attention and we were delighted with the results. She also gave us advice about our skin and products while she worked which was really handy?I've used those tips since! I would highly recommend Ruthanna, you will not be disappointed!!

RuthAnna, was an amazing addition to the morning of my wedding and the day two also! She had such a calming way which made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed! I Recently Booked Ruthanna to do my Make-UP for my Son's Wedding. How Lucky was I to find her. What an amazing Lady. Even when I had to change the Date due to the Wedding being brought forward before the Second Lockdown, nothing was a problem for her. She arrived at our house early morning with her Bag of Tricks. She also found a wonderful Lady called Kim to come and do my Hair and also my Sister's. What lovely Ladies to work with. Face Masks and Hand Sanitizing were the order of the day. They were so Professional and so easy to chat to. I received amazing Compliments on my Make-Up at the Wedding and also my Hair. I felt like a millon dollars. I can't speak highly enough of Ruthanna and i would highly recommend her.

Ruthanna was an absolute dream. I'm so grateful for everything, not only for the gorgeous makeup for everyone the morning of, but for the kind words and support in the lead up. 2020 weddings have been far from easy, but Ruthanna has such a positive, calming way. She made the whole thing so easy. We all felt so confident and beautiful. In terms of COVID and safety Ruthanna was incredibly prepared and all of our makeup lasted the entire night despite the masks and happy tears. I truly cannot recommend her enough x

I couldn't recommend Ruthanna highly enough. We had to move our wedding forward a week at the last minute & limit it to just some immediate family, due to the Covid-19 virus. This was a very stressful decision but when I contacted Ruthanna a few days beforehand she melted away alot of that stress. She came to my house that morning to do my make up & hair ( Ruthanna doesn't usually do hair, however everyone commented on how fab my hair was, so another string to her bow! ) She took all the safety precautions necessary, but she still made the morning fun and relaxed. A real Fairy Godmother! My makeup & hair was amazing & I'll definitely book her when we eventually have our party!

5 stars!!! Ruthanna done the make up for my wedding on Saturday 14th December! I can't thank her enough!! I absolutely loved my make up it was so natural and it covered all the redness. I was so comfortable with it. Everyone commented how great the coverage was and how natural it looked. I was so happy with it. Everyone in the bridal party loved they're make up. We had 2 little flower girls who she kept occupied when we were running around. Everyone felt so comfortable with her. If anyone is ever looking for a make up artist for their big day I won't be able to recommend Ruthanna highly enough. She is asking at what she does. Aside from the make Ruthanna has helped me so much with my skin. I had very red, sore, bumpy, itchy, burning skin on my face and at my make up trial and Ruthanna gave me tips to improve my skin. All inexpensive supplements and cream. I have gone to dermatologist doctors everyone I could find to help me and she was the first person who listened to me when I said it was coming from my stomach issues. Since my trial I have been taking the supplements and using the cream Ruthanna suggested and it is so much better. It is something I'm going to continue doing. Aside from feeling beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her fantastic work, I feel less self conscious in my day to day life all thanks to Ruthanna. I am so grateful for everything.

I had the most amazing wedding morning team which included Ruthanna on makeup! Ruthanna is so professional, calm, bubbly and full of knowledge! She was easy going but yet a perfectionist. She really made me look my best on my big day! The makeup was flawless and settled beautifully. Ruthanna on the day was a pleasure to have around and from the beginning worked with my skin and recommended products for the run up to the wedding which helped with that overall glow! Ruthanna travelled to our house on the morning of the wedding so she could do my make up as well as my bridesmaids and Mom as we relaxed and soaked up the atmostphere of the wedding morning. Ruthanna was so lovely. Had a great chat with her when she was applying my make up. I was a guest for my best friends wedding and a few of us decided to get glammed up. We were so lucky to get Ruthanna. I didn't give much in the way of direction but she instinctively knew that I wanted to look glam and natural at the same time and did a beautiful look achieving both of those requests and the make up lasted all day. We were all so happy with her.

Excellent from start to finish. She suggested I had my trial in plenty of time, wish was ideal as we both learned a lot from it. On the morning of the Wedding her professionalism & pleasant attitude left the wedding party relax & confident it was all under control. Ruthanna is a fantastic make up artist. I had one trial with her where she took the time to try out many different products to see what suited my skin and then tried a few looks until I was happy. She was also so helpful in the lead up to the wedding answering any questions I had.
On the morning of the wedding she was just fantastic, she got on so well with everyone and we couldn't have been happier with the make up. It was natural, picture perfect & lasted all the way through. Ruthanna stayed until I left for the church making sure my make up was perfect & my lipstick topped up just before I walked out the door. We had previously used Ruthanna for my brother's wedding and thought she was amazing, so once I got engaged I made sure to book her asap so she wouldn't get booked up. Ruthanna is great to have around the morning of the wedding, very calm and keeps the morning moving along without any hassle. Her makeup skills are amazing, my bridesmaids, sisters-in-law and I all felt fabulous and looked great!

Ruthanna is just brilliant!! Not only was the make up for myself, my 2 bridesmaids and my mum immaculate and lasted all day and night, but Ruthanna is great to have on the morning of your wedding. She's very relaxed and helps with lots of things other than the make up. She stayed til right before I left with my dad and was even cleaning up the cups of tea and making sure we had everything we needed for the day.
