If you’re a lover of these amazing blooms, we won’t be surprised if you’ve planned your wedding date around their very short season – honestly, we know couples who have done this!
If you want a large, lush flower that has the perfect amount of ruffly petals, the peony is the flower for your wedding day. There is a catch however, you’ve got to time it just right! Beautiful peonies have a very short season running from May to June, when they disappear for another year.

Peonies are available in whites, creams, various shades of pink and red. In recent years the Coral Charm has become a very popular choice for weddings, with it’s vibrant coral petals and identifiable yellow centre.
Peonies do come with a higher price point but can be used to accommodate most budgets. If you have the ability to splurge on arrangements with only peonies, go for it, but if your budget doesn’t allow, speak to your florist about adding a few beautiful peonies to your key arrangements which are filled with more affordable blooms.
