10 Ways to Include Your Something Blue

Fashion & Jewellery, Planning & Advice

Some wedding traditions have had their day but lots of brides still love the idea of incorporating ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue’ in to their wedding attire. Some of course are easier to tick off the list than others – you can borrow some jewellery from your mam, wear an old pair of earrings or your favourite perfume and of course you’ve your brand new amazing guna as your something new. But the blue part can be a bit trickier – in a sea of white or ivory, a lot of brides are looking to keep the blue part hidden. So we’ve rounded up some of the best ‘something blue’ ideas we’ve come across whether you’re looking to have your something blue as your own little secret or don your blue for all to see…

1. Wedding Shoes

There are lots of sneaky ways to work blue in to your wedding shoes – you can go all out and sport a beautiful pair of blue heels like these Badgley Mischka’s or if you prefer something a little more subtle, you could try your hand at painted blue soles. Some designers like Charlotte Olympia are actually making the job easier for you and are incorporating a little something blue on to each shoe design but if your budget understandably doesn’t stretch to designer shoes, some bow clips (available from Etsy) would be an adorable addition to your shoes.

Or if you’d rather keep your blue hidden, you can pick up ‘I Do’ stickers for the soles of your shoes in sparkly blue in the weddingsonline Shop or you can get your partner or bridal party to write a heartfelt message on the soles of your wedding shoes in blue ink.

2. Hidden Hearts
