There’s something so fun and freeing about wedding manicures and today we’re encouraging brides to throw caution to the wind and update their French mani with something a little more out of the box. Looking to the runways for aisle style inspiration, colour abounds in pretty polishes with Zac Posen doing bold red nails and Jenny Packham going similar with blood orange. Grey and dusty blue were utilised in geometric manicures while it was all white on the night for the likes of Kate Spade, Tibi and Erin Fetherston. Pastels had pride of place at Burberry Prosum and meticulously manicured matte pastel shades brought elegance to Peter Som. Negative space and moon manicures took the place of the classic French at Charlotte Ronson and silver studs gave an urbane edge to Lela Rose showing us just how to update your talons and have a bit of fun with colour, shapes and embellishments.

Spring Florals
If you’re a fan of all things fun and floral, you’ll love this years most colourful spring/summer wedding beauty trend. Floral print wedding nails are a super cute way to get some colour into your attire and feel a little whimsical on the day. Nail art is becoming a big way for brides to bring a little bit of personality to their get up in an understated, personal way.

Simple Studs
We are head over heels in love with the oh-so-hip-and-pretty nail art seen at Lela Rose and Houghton’s Spring 2016 runway shows. Silver studs at Lela Rose gave simple, neutral nails the teeniest tiniest bit of bling, while black 3D dots added some serious edge to a classic nude manicure. This is one for the minimalist, urban bride, who is all about carrying off chic style with a nod and a wink.

Negative Space
If the reverse manicure summed up nail art in 2014, 2015 is all about nails with ‘negative space’. Spring/summer versions center on pastel – see cheerful coral at Delpoza and shade-du-jour mint on display at Charlotte Ronson – autumn/winter brides will be looking at neutrals with clear spaces, and matte grey reverse manis. We love.

Purely Pastel
No news here but notable all the same that block pastels are still a major go-to for spring/summer brides looking to add some pop to their provisions. Whether its modern mint, pretty in pink or all-white (as seen at Tibi, Osman and Kate Spade) pastel nails are bold, bright bon bons, good enough to eat.

Gilded Gold
Sassy brides step up and go for gold – it’s time for what might just be our new fave in modern wedding manicures. White and gold nails were bold, brassy and completely unbridled at Cushnie et Oches, while designers such as Erin Fetherston and Zimmermann went for an elegant, minimal take on the look. We encourage both.

Urban Geometry
Geometric shapes are big in nail art at the moment, so why not in bridal? Have a little fun with colour and shapes for your big day, adding in blocks of blue or metallic stripes to pick up on those rose gold heels. If you love the ideas of multi-coloured fun but feminine florals aren’t your style, this one’s perfect for your talons!
