Vive la France! Beautiful Bastille Day Wedding Inspiration

Décor & Flowers

Today is La Fête Nationale de France – Bastille Day to you and me –  and weddingsonline is celebrating with a chic mood board inspired by all things fabulous and French. Of course the obvious way to do a French palette is to go for the patriotic points with bold blues and reds, but that’s way too easy! That’s why today we’re all about understated, classic French style – think macarons that are almost too pretty to eat, menus wishing everyone ‘Bon Appetit’ and a pair of lavish Louboutins adorning your feet and you’re about on your way towards a stylish Parisian-inspired wedding day

For a bit of French flavour, a wine and cheese drinks reception is the perfect way for guests to indulge, while a delicious Croquembouche takes center-stage for the traditional cutting of the cake (a sweet perfected by the wonderful French Wedding Cakes in Kildare!) If you fancy a bit of DIY, check out the gorgeous ‘Bon Appetit’ tags in the palette below, which can be used to garnish edible favours or to wrap around cutlery. We love the use of blueberries to bring a stronger colour to this palette, and if you are going the way of the flag a mix of red and blueberries in cocktails or in desserts is a fabulous option!
