Brilliant Budget Wedding Decor from the High Street!

Décor & Flowers

With brides and grooms getting more and more hands on with decorating for their big day, we’re looking to the high street to help keep budgets in check. When it comes to finding great peices for your decor think outside the box when it comes to shopping in the home sections of your favourite high street stores. Places like IKEA and Dunnes have lots of little bits and pieces like frames, vases, tealight holders and decorative bowls that could easily dress your guest book table, around your wedding cake or the reception tables themselves. H&M – who recently started delivering to Ireland – have an amazing home range with plenty of gorgeous pieces to suit different wedding themes. We love their ‘Picknick’ range which is ideal for a summer soiree! Penneys have some great wedding signs in store at the moment which can make the room you’re getting ready in on the morning feel extra special, and of course for fun items like giant balloons, paper lanterns, bunting and fab photo booth props, the weddingsonline shop has you covered! Check out some of our findings below!*

*Please note that some may not be available from certain stores, please contact the shop in question to inquire about specific products.

Budget Wedding Signage

Wedding signs are popping up all over lately, from cute countdowns for the kitchen and arrow directions to pop ups letting guests know where to sit and what to Tweet. There are quite a few in the weddingsonline shop  we particularly love the wooden calligraphy arrow signs which come in at an affordable €12 for the three and the funny photo booth sign which is a little more at €18.

Chic Copper Accents

Copper is one of our favourite trends this year and there’s plenty of accessories around the high street you can use to dress up your wedding decor. H&M and Zara Home have some particularly beautiful pieces which can be arranged to create a modern feel to your tables, and IKEA have some gorgeous Edison-style bulbs if you’re hoping to create a rustic, romantically lit room.

Fun Tropical Style Summer Wedding Decor

As you probably noted from last week’s colour inspiration post, we’re all about tropical wedding themes at the moment and as luck would have it, there’s loads of bright decor hitting the high street in preparation for the summer. If this theme floats your boat now’s the time to start getting your bits and bobs together with fun accessories like vibrant photo frames, paper lanterns or balloons and colourful bunting.
