Purple has always been a super popular colour for Irish weddings; not too girly, not too masculine and bridesmaids seem to like wearing it too! Purple has taken a bit of a turn lately however, with couples opting out of deep, rich hues, and into more soft and subtle shades of lilac and lavender. This lilac and lavender theme is one of our favourite for summer weddings, it’s ultra romantic, earthy, fresh and can be incorporated into decor and dress in a cinch!
Of course as with all wedding colour themes, it all comes together with flowers. Pale purple roses in the bouquet, sprigs of lilac and lavender in rustic wildflower centerpieces and even a gorgeous purple and green mix fresh flower crown could be worn by the bride (and flower girl!) And what do you think about handing out parcels of lavender for guests to throw instead of confetti?! We kinda love it!
