This is one wedding story that has the Mrs2Be office completely divided, as a video showing an Irish groom singing to his bride as she walks down the aisle has gone viral this week. Shot in Drumragh Chapel, Omagh back in 2010, the Youtube video was resurrected this week as it went viral on Facebook. Whether you like the video or not, you have to admit that the groom, Niall Donnelly, has a great voice, so it’s not surprising that he’s actually a professional wedding singer himself.
Breakingnews.ie reports how Niall was talked into the romantic gesture by his friends after a few drinks:
“At the rehearsal dinner on the Thursday night before the wedding somebody suggested that I sing it for Jill – but in my head, the thought of it was pure cheese. I thought ‘no way’ – but then the night before the wedding the lads from the band were at my house, we had a few whiskies in us and they talked me into it.”
