Ben Herbert was only 5 years old with he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
8 months of intense treatment followed in which he underwent toxic chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, high dose steroids, blood transfusions, infections, hospital stays and IV antibiotics.
This intensive therapy will continue until July/August 2015.
Last Christmas Ben asked the fairies at Make-A-Wish to grant him four wishes:
Wish to Go: Lapland, Wish to Meet: Santa, Wish to Have: iPad and a Wish to Be: A Chef (he loves pizza!), due to the support and generosity of our sponsors and volunteers; all of Ben’s four wishes were granted.
