But how exactly does one go about organising a wedding at sea? Well the simple answer is, you don’t!  A dedicated wedding coordinator will look after everything, including invitations, priority check-in, flowers, cake, music, menu, champagne, thank you cards, commemorative wedding certificate, marriage certificate and license fee and more, starting from €2600 excluding guests.

For those with a January wedding in mind, a four night voyage on board the Queen Elizabeth can be added on to your wedding package from €689 per person. Setting sail from Southampton on 6th January 2014, you’ll also fit in a visit to the harbour city of Hamburg.

If you fancy going even further afield, start married life with a bit of adventure, by honeymooning in New York and marrying mid-Atlantic on Cunard’s flagship, the Queen Mary 2. Following dinner at the elegant Britannia Club, cut the cake and dance the night away at the Big Band Ball with its 14-piece orchestra.  Price for a seven night voyage departing Southampton on 9th May 2014 to New York is from €989 per person plus wedding package.
