Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

Inspiration, Planning & Advice

These days a simple text to your sister or best mate proposing they be your maid of honour or bridesmaid for your upcoming nuptials, simply, does not cut the mustard!! We adore the pretty “will you be my bridesmaid?” cards that have become so popular, and we’ve also been on the search for some inspiring and very clever alternative ideas to ask them to do you the honour of standing with you on your wedding day. Here are a few of our favourites…

The top photo is a DIY paper chain ladies, so if you fancy giving it a go, here’s the link you need: DIY paper chains.

But if you want to keep it really personal, you can’t beat a good poem! Here are a few of our favourites:

“Plan with me,

Stand with me,

Cry with me,

Laugh with me,

Will you be my bridesmaid?”

“Can’t say I Do without you.”

“You’ve shared with me the special times,

our friendship grows each day,

We’ve shared our secrets and our dreams,

and laughed along the way.

And now at this most special time

as my wedding day nears,

I would like to have you by my side

to calm some jitters and the fears.

When I am walking down the aisle

a very happy bride,

It would mean so very much to me

to have you by my side.”

“Please stand by my side

When I say ‘I Do’

For I wouldn’t be me

Without a friend like you.”

“There is nothing more beautiful than a true friend

on whom you can depend

to cheer you up when you are sad,

to rejoice with you when you are glad.”

“On one of the most important days of my life,

when I become my dream man’s wife,

I want you, my dearest friend, there with me,

sharing in the joy, laughter and tears.”
