Aoife and Deirdre at the Bridal Lounge have made an epic splash in the Irish wedding industry. Their modern style and incredible talent is already synonymous with wedding perfection. When they sent me these swoon-worthy engagement photos, I knew I had to share.
Engagement photos have quite taken over the wedding photography industry in the last few years. It’s another thing couples (brides!) have to plan, but who would complain about that? Many photographers add an engagement shoot to their regular photo packages. It’s beneficial for everyone. The photographer gets to find the best angles, and the couple get into their comfort zone. They also have a lovely keepsake from their engagement days. The most swoon-worthy engagement photos can be used as save-the-dates, which we think is a great idea.
Do I have to theme my engagement photos?
There has been, however, some deal of pressure to make engagement photos themed. Some couples are tempted to travel quite far to reach some particular place. Or, they spend money on props, outfits, or renting things (Batmobile, anyone?). The results are truly inspirational, to be sure. But, we’d like to show you that you don’t need much at all to have swoon-worthy engagement photos, just like these below. Two dresses, fabulous shoes, a brilliant location: the simplicity is there, but the photos are anything but. You can just tell how relaxed the couple feel in front of the camera (another major benefit of a pre-wedding shoot). You could definitely do this with much less. The important things are your good mood on that day, wearing your favourite outfit (or something that makes you feel utterly fabulous), and a will to have a good time.
