The autumn/winter season is surely creeping in now ladies and gentlemen! And this year we have decided, once again, to see the beauty behind the burlesque dance of the trees and that eye opening crispy air. With that in mind we’ve put together a very stylish mood board (we hope) for an Irish bride planning a warm autumnal affair.

Autumn Leaves
Autumn is a season of deep and balmy hues, from dark emerald greens to fire-like reds and balayaged browns. The naturally rustic surroundings can be included in almost every aspect of your wedding, which often begins with your wedding stationery.

Divya Letterpress by Pretty as a Picture (top left) has the perfect mix of pastoral autumn leaves and glamorous golden foil stamping, setting a formal fall tone for your wedding, while Helen’s Paperie, based in Dublin, does some stunning work with rich emerald green ribbons and damask prints in her collection which are sure to set a classic and stylish autumn tone for your big day. As part of their Couture Collection, Happy Ever After stationery designers offer some beautiful patterns including the autumn-ready ‘bijou-pearl’. And if you really want to autumnify your big day, online wedding shop Confetti.co.uk provides an entire ‘Autumn Leaf’ collection including invites, favour tags, table numbers and even water bottle labels!
Continue the autumn theme to your tables, with table numbers, or name card holders such as the bronze metal leaf card holders in our mood board. Alternatively you could do some DIY and create some cards embellished with pressed leaves, or go really rustic with mini pumpkin card holders. On the food front, Ferrero Rocher escort cards/name cards are both yummy and very autumn looking due to their colours – result!

Centerpieces
Rustic style birdcages filled with crisp leaves and wildflowers make beautiful centrepieces for autumn. An inexpensive DIY alternative is fruit based centrepieces such as clear glass vases filled with apples, oranges or mini pumpkins, or mixed shelled nuts or berries with tea lights. Hurricane vases create a warm focal point when filled with orange and red crystal beads and off-white pillar candles, or fill them with hazelnuts (in their shells) or pinecones, place in some branch-like twigs covered in glitter and add some ornaments such as stick on flowers or colourful butterflies.
