We are having our engagement shoot in April - both me and h2b dread photos and how we will look so we decided to do this and then have the photos made into a book as our guest book. If you were doing one what props/style would you use? I don't know - we're both really into music, gigs, the outdoors and we've grown up together. Looking for some ideas. Here are a couple of links to sample shoots done by the photographer that we are having it done with. http://onefabday.com/dream-dingle-engagement/ http://onefabday.com/electric-picnic-engagement/ http://onefabday.com/epic-romantic-enga ... otography/

We had an engagement shoot done too, and I was dreading it! Didn't know how I'd react in font of the camera! And our photographer wanted to make a big deal out of capturing "us", so I was freaking out because I couldn't pin point anything that stood out as "us". Poor hubby, I remember giving him a hard time because I felt we didn't have an identity as a couple. Ha ha! In the end it all turned out okay. :) We live in Trim so we used the gorgeous backdrop of Trim Castle & Bective Abbey. We also stopped off in a corn field which was fun. Hubby is from a farming background so that tied in really well! Also looking back at the photos what we chose to wear that day actually represented us really well! Me in red high heels (from the city) and him in a checked shirt (from the country)! Hubby also loves his golf, so we took a few on the golf course which turned out a bit naff! And we stopped off in a country pub to take some shots which was fun too! Me drinking a pint of Guinness like a proper tourist! (I'm from Germany!) If you want to check out the pics they are on our photographer's blog page. http://www.dawidzydorek.com/blog/ (Vicky & Phil) Main thing is you have fun!! Best of luck!!

Were getting one done, were just heading to a beach and were bringing a kite with us and a beach ball and blanket and we got this love heart in a craft shop so just bringing them with us and going to have some fun.

We're going to Trim Castle and Bective Abbey too. Just wondering what people are planning on wearing for the shoot. Really dressed up, the hair, make up and the works or casual-ish clothes?

Hi vicky, Both your engagement shoot and your wedding pics are amazing!! I love how the colour in your shoes pops in all the pics and matches your OH's shirt. Its so lovely and ye look like a fantastic couple. I havent a clue what to wear - I was thinking of a skirt and high heels for my girly side and then changing into wellies for our walk along the river in UL. That's our venue as that's where we met... We might do something in the Library there if its not too busy. I might actually do a chance of clothes like you did - maybe casual for our walk and then something a bit more glam for the evening. Decisions! My h2b is no help at all with this. He's happy just to turn up and be told what to do! I might have a look for some "love" props to bring and havea bit of a giggle with. I want to include our love of travelling too so I was thinking of bring all our photo albums of all the holidays we've been on together as well.

We had our engagement shoot done but at the photographers studio so we just stood together for a few pics and then h2b sat and I stood behind him with my hands on his shoulder showing off my engagement ring. They turned out really well

E Shoots are great fun, even if you dont like having your pics taken which we dont really! We had one done last April in Ballyseedy Wood & Muckross House and Gardens as we live in Kerry. Our photos were very simple and we really enjoyed the day. A few of the pics can be seen here http://www.mywedding.com/coletteandstep ... eries.html

Hi Exitedbride12! Got the shoes in dorothy perkins about 2 yrs ago. Love them!! Got the tracksuits in pennys and then put the iron on transfers on ourselves which we bought on ebay. :) And we.did the scrolls ourselves, too. So handy!
