How long after af date for BFP?

Well my af hasn't arrived yet, just that tiny bit of spotting yesterday. I tested this morning (because its my due date) to be on the safe side but BFN. I know she is coming so not having delusions, but it still got me thinking..... Have any of ye experience in not getting a BFP until a few days after your af is due? Does this happen?

Hi Firefly, Its only just happened to me...if you look back a page or two you'll see my thread "I cant believe it...". I tested 2days before and 2days after AF was due both BFN. A full week later it was a BFP. Then I went to the doctor and my dates were at 7and a half weeks but the bean was much much younger (5 weeks)

Firefly - I am praying here that it isn't - do you have a v regular cycle? Would it be usual that you could be a couple of days late or would you be certain she is due today?? It is a bit strange that nothing since last night isn't it??

Well I was expecting it today or yesterday CTBaby, that's why I don't want to jump the gun yet. It's been on time for the last 3 months. It nice to have a bit of hope though, and no harm in knowing things like this for future reference
