I tend to use it for a browse for things that I'm currently interested in/looking for. E.g. At the moment we're planning a kitchen extension so I put in kitchen terms into the search box and get loads of suggestions which I then pin to my own boards. Similarly with school ideas I do the same thing, then if I come across a particular board/ idea that I like the look of I might follow that particular poster. I do find it takes a while to get into it and I could spend ages on it one day and then not log on for weeks again.

I absolutely love it, been on it for 5 or 6 years now.... I use it for the house (a have a board for each room), for crafty things I'm into and then use it so much for the wedding.... Feel free to have a nosey... http://www.pinterest.com/ruthmullen/

On foot of this post I joined it. Can someone explain it simply? I pinned a few things I like and now keep getting notifications that others have repinned my pins. Is this like FB where you 'like' something, then your FB friends see it amd one of them like it too etc etc? I didnt know others could see my activity..
