hi all,
Only got engeged last friday
, really excited. we are planning for april - september 2011. no date set as such yet. i was just wondering if any of you know of reception venue in east cork/ south waterford. also how far in advance should i start booking everything.

Congrats! I'm getting married in September & booked the venue in Feb & feel I have loads of time really - in fact, with my fast-growing obsession with this website, it's lucky I didn't start planning long ago!! All depends on what you want really, if you have your heart set on certain things, e.g. certain venue or band, you probably need to be planning longer than 6 months.
My reception is in east Cork, Barnabrow - beautiful imo. You could also try Ballymaloe or Castlemartyr Capella has recently re-opened. Garryvoe is nice too.

Hi,
Congratulations! Like the OP said there are quite a lot of nice venues in East Cork, but it probably depends on your numbers also. Have you got approximate numbers yet? Another one in the West Waterford area is the Dungarvan Park if you've big numbers or Richmond house in Cappoquin if you've smaller numbers.
