Hey Girls, Just wondering do you take your ER (or/& WR) off much? I have only the ER at the mo but I never take it off except if I'm baking. A friend of mine wears hers only to socialise as she doesn't want to wreak it before the wedding. I would worry about losing mine if I took it off - safest place for it is on the finger. I notice lots of tiny scratches on the band (platium) at the back though. What are your thoughts on all of this? Cheers!

Before we got married i wore mine all the time (except inthe shower, and doing dishes) but now i only wear my ER when going to work or going out as i always have my wedding ring on anyway. Its weird, i wanted to wear my ER all the time as i was so proud to be marrying DH but now that i have wedding ring it does the same thing.... :lvs

I hardly wear mine at all! Maybe if I am going out on a night out... Not really a jewellery kind of person. And I lose everything! Don't ever wear wedding ring but am only married 20 days.

I'm not into jewellery as a rule. I have my ear pierced but rarely actually wear earrings or bracelets and the like. I [i:1ld1euxg]never[/i:1ld1euxg] wore rings. But I never take my ER or WR off. I really don't need to. If I'm doing housework and using a product I think might be harsh on the rings I wear gloves but that's really it. I do think if you get into the habit of taking them off there is more potential to lose them. I just don't want to risk it.

I wore it the entire honeymoon, even on the beach (took it off when showering, applying sun cream etc.). Why wouldn't you wear it - really curious!

I have to take my ER off when I'm working cos I work with my hands and don't want to wreck it...I wear it on a chain around my neck if it's not on my finger. Apart from that I wear it all the time.....I love love love it!!!!! It is a little scratched at the bottom but it's white gold and you're supposed to get it dipped once a year so it'll be like new again after that (had to get it made a little smaller a couple of months after getting it and couldn't believe how shiny and new it looked again when I got it back!!)

I don't understand why people are so attached to them TBH - I know I am in the major minority though. We didn't even want the exchange of the rings, can't remember how we ended up having it - just so the ceremony wasn't too short I think...

I'm not a huge jewellery person really but I had a hand (excuse the pun) in picking both of them too so I like them and they mean something to me I guess.

I rarely take my engagement ring off. If I'm doing housework that called for me to take it off I'd wear rubber gloves. If it's off I'm afraid I'll lose it, it's safer on my finger. I do take it off alright if I'm going swimming. And if I'm applying body cream or sun cream, but it goes straight back on in seconds. This is one of the reasons I bought a plain gold wedding band, rather than the diamond set ones which I felt were being pushed on me. Because I feel I'll never want to take it off, so got a good one that will withstand anything. My parents are 40 years married next month and my mother never takes off her wedding ring, her e-ring sometimes if she's baking etc, but that's it.
