Hi all, Just wondering do you have to buy this or do hospital supply them during labour? If you have to buy them what one would you recommend?

Not sure in Meath but I'm renting mine, costs 30 euro for the 4 weeks. (That's from 2 weeks before your due date...)

Pretty certain that none of the hospitals supply them although it may be different if you go private. I bought mine up north at the weekend for £38 which is about €42 so happy with that. :wv

I think the aim of a tens machine is that you put it on as soon as labour starts to help cope with the potentially long early/first stage at home. Therefore it makes more sense to have rented/bought one for at home. They can be rented from medicare.ie or Boots shops. They can be bought from several locations (pharmacies/ebay/mothercare etc.) There are so many brands you just need to make sure that it is one for labour/obstetric use.
