HI GIRLS, MY LITTLE GIRL HAS HAS SEVERE DIAHRREA AND COLIC SINCE 2 WEEKS OLD. SHES 8 WEEKS NOW. IT STARTED WHEN I INTRODUCED FORMULA AT 2 WEEKS WITH C & G 1 PREMIUM. SHE WOULD CRY IN PAIN TRYING TO PASS WIND AND BRING UP HER FEEDS 1/2 OZ AT A TIME. SHE WOULDN'T HAVE A BOWL MOVEMENT FOR 24 HOURS EITHER. OUR HEALTH NURSE TOLD US TO PUT HER ON COMFORT BUT THAT JUST MADE IT WORSE. SHE SCREEMED IN PAIN BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER EVERYFEED AND FOR UPTO 3 HOURS BEFORE A BOWL MOVEMENT AND OVER 2 HOURS AFTER. WE WERENT GETTING ANY SUPPORT FROM OUR GP (ONLY "SHE'LL GROW OUT OF IT!") SO SAT 3 WEEKS AGO WE ENDED UP BRINGING HER TO THE SOUTH DOC AFTER A DAYS CRYING AND HE SUGGESTED SMA GOLD WITH COLIEF. WE FOUND ALMOST INSTANT RELIEF FOR THE FEEDS BUT NOT FOR THE DIAHRREA. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE FEEDING CLINIC A FEW DAYS LATER AND THE NURSE TOLD US TO PUT HER ON APTIMAL EASYDIGEST AND NOT USE THE COLIEF ANYMORE. WELL, IT WAS BACK TO SQUARE ONE WITHIN 30 MINS OF GIVING HER THE BOTTLE. SHE CRIED IN PAIN FOR 5 HOURS STRAIGHT. SO WE PUT THE COLIEF BACK IN THE FEEDS BUT SHE STILL DIDNT IMPROVE. WE CHANGED HER BACK TO SMA WITH THE COLIEF LAST SAT AND SHE SEEMS A BIT BETTER BUT SHES STILL CRYING FOR A FEW HOURS EVERYTIME SHES GOT A BOWEL MOVEMENT ON THE WAY. SO SORRY TO GO ON ABOUT IT BUT I REALLY NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO MIGHT HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS. PLEASE HELP

Hi there, really feel for you. We had only a week of severe constipation with our little guy and it was hell to watch him in such pain. We used glucose in water-not sure what you would do with the opposite problem. But a friend of mine brought her child to a Cranio-sacral therapist and the baby got instant relief from colic- try any alternative methods you can think of-conventional medecine will be of little or no help with colic- http://www.holisto.com/holistic.php?sea ... nio-sacral http://www.cranio.ie/ Hope this helps, let us know how you get on, xx b
