Multi award winning wedding music for your ceremony, drinks reception and meal.

D-Strings extensive repertoire of over 900 pieces covers everything from Pachabel's Canon in D, The Wedding March and hymns to Metallica, Coldplay and Sweet Child of Mine and of course all the latest Bridgerton covers. Don't see what you like? D Strings are happy to take requests.

Church/ ceremony - we recommend the acoustic string trio or string quartet with the option of adding singers.

Drinks reception - acoustic string trio / string quartet or electric violin duet with backing tracks. Why not choose to amplify the acoustic strings for your drinks reception. DStrings also have a jazz ensemble with a jazz singer which provides an easy listening soundtrack to your reception.

Meal - before, during and after the meal - electric violin duet with backing tracks or the acoustic strings amplified is great here. The jazz ensemble complete with a jazz singer is also good for background easy listening.

Bands break as tea/coffee etc are served - electric violin duet with backing tracks

DStrings played as a trio for our wedding ceremony in St Marys Chapel Mullaghbawn, everyone commented on the beautiful music and how well it blended throughout the ceremony. Deirdre provided us with a large selection of options and also learnt a few new tunes that we suggested.. I would love to be there to listen again. Thanks a million, Catherine & Ryan

We had D strings for our wedding in October 2022. We had them play for our ceremony. They were absolutely fantastic!! Deirdre was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the beginning, in helping with song choices the whole lot. It added absolute magic to the ceremony. They were very accomodating with songs we chose that were not the normal songs people would pick. Nothing was too much trouble for them.Everyone spoke of how lovely the string quartet was. We thought it was so beautiful and so did all of our guests. Even when we we forgot to pick a song for a specific part of the ceremony, they were able to slot in a song that was fitting and worked perfectly. We can't reccomend them enough!!

We had D-Strings quartet play at our wedding reception on the 16th Sept. Deirdre was so lovely to deal with from the moment of booking right up until the lead up to the wedding. The music was just fab and created a lovely relaxed atmosphere listening out in the sun! Our guests had huge compliments and would highly recommend D-Strings to all future brides and grooms.

We had the D Strings Electric violins perform during the meal at our wedding in August and we would definitely recommend. The electric violins added an incredible atmosphere to the meal. There was a large crowd in the room but the speakers meant that the music could be heard evenly throughout the ballroom. Deirdre played for hours and so many guests came up to tell us how much they loved it! It was also so fun to have "live" music to dance into the room to with the bridal party.

The ladies were fabulous, they played our ceremony and drinks reception. All our guests complimented them and taught it was lovely addition to the wedding. The songs they played were absolutely beautiful and such a joy to listen to. Deirdre was a pleasure to deal with and was so helpful on the run up to the wedding.

We were lucky enough to have D-Strings string quartet perform at our church ceremony in Co. Louth followed by our drinks reception in the beautiful Castle Leslie. Deirdre and the team in D-Strings are the dream to work with and made everything so easy from our first conversation in 2020 right through to our wedding day (and beyond) in May 2022. We were so thankful for Deirdre’s guidance and flexibility. They really set the tone for a beautiful day and had the perfect balance of classical/modern pieces to suit both settings and capture our taste as a couple. Our guests were blown away by their repertoire - everything from Bach and Mozart to Coldplay and Love Actually! I couldn’t recommend D-Strings enough. Thank you, N&D.

We were extremely lucky to have the D Strings string trio play at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in Dublin recently and they were absolutely amazing. They created a fantastic atmosphere and all of our guests loved the music. They have an extremely broad and varied repertoire covering many different genres so there is something for everyone. Dstrings played for our wedding ceremony and our meal. They were amazing we were thrilled and got so many compliments from our guests at how brilliant they were. Deirdre is so kind to deal with nothing is a problem. We rescheduled a number of times due to the pandemic and she was so accommodating. If you are considering having Dstrings play at your event you will not regret it. It will be one of the best decisions you make.

We had the D Strings for our wedding last Saturday 28th November and WOW. We couldn't recommend them enough. We had postponed from May due to pandemic and they were so helpful in rescheduling. They played both our church and our drinks reception and they really set the tone for the evening. Just beautiful - and such a wide range of songs too from Queen to Florence and the Machine. Anyone thinking of booking them, you will not regret it. Thanks so much again, from the new Mr and Mrs Aubrey and Ciara Burns.

Never underestimate the power of music to raise us up, warm our hearts and bind people together on a day that was all about true love. The music at our wedding was outstanding and the support we received from Deirdre in D-Strings in the lead up right up until the night before our wedding was simply amazing. We had D-strings for our small wedding 25 people in Wicklow in September. We chose the string trio and they were fabulous and helped make our day even better. They are so professional,really pleasant and sound fantastic. We got to choose the music they played including many movie scores, hymns for the church and popular songs everyone knew for our drinks reception at Tinakilly house. They were very easy to communicate and arrange with despite covid. I'd highly recommend them.

D-Strings played the music at my son's wedding ceremony in September. We chose to have the string quartet plus harp, flute and male and female singers The music was breathtakingly beautiful and very moving and added so much to the occasion Even the priest commented that the church had never been graced by such wonderful sound... Deirdre organised everything and was so helpful and understanding especially given the uncertainty surrounding the booking. I would highly recommend them and will be looking for any excuse to book them again!

We got married 14th March 2020, D Strings (string trio) played for our church ceremony. The music was absolutely excellent. They entertained our guests before we arrived, and played the sweetest music during the ceremony. Prior to our big day, communication with Deirdre was very quick and easy. She always responded quickly, and nothing was any trouble as they offer a vast menu of music. D Strings definitely added something special to our Wedding Day and we are so glad we booked them. We would strongly recommend. 5 Stars!

We had the pleasure of having D-Strings play during our wedding mass and also during the meal at the reception. They were exceptional. We had so many guests raving about them in the days after the wedding, I’m delighted I booked them for both ceremony & reception, they were just amazing to listen to, and particularly enjoyable during the meal. I dealt with Deirdre and she was very responsive to all my queries (no matter how silly!) We requested the hotel to provide some food for the girls and put this on our bill, it was the least we could do. We also paid an additional small fee to add an amplifier for better sound in the function room. Overall, the service we received from D-Strings was first class and I would highly recommend them!

The D Strings performed at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception and I can't say enough about how delighted we were with them! Everything was so easy to organise...the only difficult part was choosing what pieces we wanted because they have such a huge selection to choose from and if there's a song not listed, they're happy to learn it for the big day! We got so many compliments from our guests about the music and how they really added to the atmosphere. I can't recommend them highly enough!
