John and I had Patrick Davy music for our ceremony and drinks reception on the 23rd of may 24 , they where amazing from start to finish and where even able to play a piece that was wrote by a family member of one of the guests ! Everyone raved about how good they where after and my self and John couldn't recommend Patrick and Co enough ! Amazing !

Davey Music played at our wedding at the Drenagh Estate for our ceremony and reception drinks. Their music was utterly beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more. We spoke with Patrick before about our preferences in music, but to be honest we didn't have to be too specific as their playlists were lovely anyway. Couldn't recommend them enough! Patrick has been incredible since I first emailed him last year! He was so accommodating to my requests. It gave me goosebumps to walk into the church hearing such beautiful music. We had music and vocals through the service and then music at our drinks reception. All of the guests commented on how wonderful it was and Tom and I had been looking forward to it so much. Patrick was amazing from start to finish. The communication from booking to the big day was the best we experienced. Davey music specially learned a song for us which meant so much and all musicians were absolutely amazing. There is no way I can write a review that does justice to the service provided by Patrick & Davey Music trio. Whatever I say here will fall short, however I will try.
Every interaction with Patrick was professional , punctual succinct and fun. He is one of those rare talents who you can tell has the music in him, it's not just a job.
We made some specific requests , including having a close friend of ours sing with Davey music trio during the service, again nothing was a problem. There was hardly a dry eye in the church.
The drinks recption was filled with the sounds of a celebration. I had friends and family from all over the world in attendance , all of whom who were so delighted to hear the varied music of Ireland performed by such talented musicians. For me and Gr?inne, my friends , family and guest it made our day. Davey Music was a wonderful part of our day, with Patrick being so helpful and responsive to all our queries in the run up to the day. We really enjoyed working with Davey Music and having them play during our wedding ceremony and drinks reception! The initial meeting with Patrick was very laid back and fun, and he played tunes live on the call to help me select which ones I wanted for each part of the ceremony. I appreciated his flexibility and suggestions for which songs worked best in different parts of the ceremony. He and his musicians were very versatile and could play a wide range which was fun to incorporate both trad and other popular songs into our ceremony. The music was so beautiful during our ceremony and the tunes during the drinks reception kept the mood lively for the full two hours. What can I say other than patrick is absolute pleasure to deal with from the very start to the finish, I have never met such a wonderful person. From the 1st contact with Davey Music everything was top class. Patrick was so responsive to any queries and such a friendly person so we knew everything was in hand.

For our wedding in Moyvalley Hotel we have Davey Music play straight after the meal in the bar in Balyna House. It got everyone moving after the meal so there was no lull. Everyone commented how great Davey Music were and that it was a great idea to go straight into some lively music after the meal. In the blur of the wedding day I have a great memory of being spun around the floor by a friend to the brilliant music. The English contingent at the wedding really loved the music too.

Also before our 5 year old daughter went up to bed with the babysitter they even played one of her favourite songs Galway Girl for her. Just such a lovely touch.

Patrick and Clare preformed at our wedding ceremony in March 2023! We were blown away by their talent! Patrick was so prompt in responding to any queries/worries/advice I required in the run up to the wedding and helped me choose appropriate music from a wide selection! I had some requests of certain songs I wanted and this was no issue! We had requested vocals also and Clare Galway provided us with the most beautiful singing voice I have heard! I had decided I wanted a old time fav for church entrance ( shania Twain from this moment) and all our guests stated they had goosebumps with how beautiful it sounded! Patrick is phenomenal on the Uilleann pipes especially along with flute & whistle. Clare also provided music on fiddle and piano! Our guests commented on how beautiful the music was! Patrick and the gang made our wedding day feel extra special with their trad session just after dinner. They got everybody in the dancing mood and really added something a little different to day.

From the moment we discovered Davey Music, we were captivated. We had our initial meeting with Patrick over video call to discuss our ceremony and drinks reception music and Patrick would play the tin whistle to let us hear each song, it was like a mini concert and we were blown away by his professionalism and attention to detail. There was a song I always wanted to walk down the Ailse to- It is called In Reverence by David Tolk. I spoke to Patrick about it and he was absolutely on board to learn this with the other extremely talented musicians. I will never forget the moment i heard them play this song as my Bridesmaids started to walk. It hit me so hard and my eyes filled up and it was the most beautiful piece I had ever heard. Davey music put their hearts into everything they play and we had so many people comment on how stunning and haunting the music was and wanted to know more about who we had chosen. Which reminds me, I must get the music playlist from you Patrick! We have so ma h friends and family who have requested your set.

We couldn't thank Davey music enough for the beautiful music at our wedding ceremony. Patrick played the Uilleann pipes, whistle and flute, and was accompanied by Lucy on vocals and harp, and Marcella on the fiddle. Davey Music was one of the first suppliers we booked for our wedding, as we knew the mix of Irish and Liturgical tunes would set the tone for the day. Patrick made the whole planning process so easy. Paddy has been an absolute pleasure to work with through the preparation for the music for our wedding! Having had to move the date 3 times for us due to COVID-19, Paddy was always very easy to work with and keep us at ease!

Having played with 'Davey Music' over the years, knowing how professional and personal Paddy is, always putting the couple first, I knew we would be in safe hands. Paddy met with us both and was very respectful to our wants and wishes as to how we wanted the music to add to our Special Day. We even had one specific request for I Giorni, a piano piece that was very special to us both. Paddy was able to deliver this for us by requesting Claire to play at the wedding to accommodate this for us.

The guests also commented on how beautiful the singing and playing was, some feeling quite unexpectedly emotional due to it's beauty!

Paddy and his team also came and provided music for our drinks reception at the Dunadry Hotel, with it being a beautiful day, they set up outside where our guests were. The feedback was that they 'really helped to set the vibe' for our guests to relax and enjoy their day even more than they imagined they would. We would personally like to thank Paddy and his amazing team for helping to add so much to our Wedding Day and to make it even more special than we had thought it could be.

We booked Patrick for the ceremony and drinks reception music of the Irish part of our Indian-Irish wedding. Half of our guests had never heard Irish traditional music before so we were really excited for them to hear it and Patrick, Ciara and Clare certainly did not disappoint! The music set the tone of the day perfectly and we couldn't have been happier with it.

I had listened to Patrick's version of Canon in D over and over again before the wedding and I couldn't wait to have it played as I walked down the aisle. It was even more perfect than I ever could have imagined in real life and it made the entrance into the church so special.

I came across Patrick's page on Instagram a few years ago which was actually before I was even engaged. I don't know how I managed to stumble upon his account but am delighted that I did! I knew that if I ever got married I wanted to have Irish traditional music for the ceremony and drinks reception and was completely delighted that Patrick had availability on our wedding date. Anytime I made contact with Patrick via email, he replied quickly and made everything so easy and straight forward during what can be a stressful time.

Patrick played the flute, tin whistle and uIilleann pipes, Ciara Maguire played the fildde and Ciara Taaffe played the harp. They were all incredible and are extremely talented. They made our day so extra special and I cannot thank them all enough. There was one song I had chosen for the wedding ceremony which I wanted to change slightly as I wanted this to be played on the uIilleann pipes and honestly it wasn't any bother in the slightest. Every time I listen back to the music chosen for the wedding ceremony it gives me goosebumps and brings back so many happy memories.

I'm so glad I found Davey music! Once I seen the clip of the braveheart tune that was them booked. Couldn't ask for any better, beautiful music and a delight to communicate with. Planning a wedding during Covid wasn't easy, not meeting people who are part of your wedding but Patrick video called and went through everything, even gave us a wee sample on the tin whistle. We weren't sure on what we needed for a civil ceremony but he knew how to put together the pieces we wanted and it was just perfect. Overall they are just magnificent and I would have no problem recommending Davey music for your wedding. Thank you for being part of our day and making it special.

We fell in love with Patrick's music the second we watched his videos. We contacted him straight away and from day one he was a pleasure to deal with! Patrick was one of our favourite suppliers to work alongside as he replied promptly to every email, and kindly answered any questions we had, he was always so polite and we got good vibes off him straight away. He made organising our wedding music a breeze! Patrick has a lovely easy going nature and gentle personality. Patrick travelled a very long distance for us and he suggested a collaboration with the wonderful Fiana N? Chonaill (harpist). After listening to some of her pieces we got even more excited to have them play for us! We found Patrick and Fiana were very reasonably priced despite the distance travelled (Belfast to Offaly and Limerick to Offaly), the time and effort they put into our ceremony and drinks reception music including Patrick travelling from Belfast to Limerick before our wedding to practice with Fiana, and their time to answer emails and take video calls. We received huge compliments from our guests about how beautiful our ceremony music was. It really added to our ceremony and tugged on the heart strings! There wasn't a dry eye in the room, and it was perfect from start to finish. Patrick played beautifully on the low whistle, tin whistle and uileann pipes and Fiana blew us away especially with her solo performance on the harp. We also received a lot of compliments on our drinks reception music, they both played some lively tunes to get everyone in the mood to start the party. They really set the tone for a great evening. The music was played at a perfect volume, loud enough that it could be heard in the background and enjoyed but not too loud that people were able to hold a conversation without raising their voices over the music. This is something that we ALWAYS notice at weddings, there's nothing worse than not being able to chat comfortably to people because the music is too loud! We would highly recommend Patrick Davey Music and would encourage anyone to let him pick his accompanying musicians. You won't be disappointed!

We were so lucky to have Patrick, Bronagh and Grainne play at our ceremony at the Lodge at Ashford Castle on the 1st August 2021. From the moment we booked them, we knew we had made the right choice. It is hard to put into words just how amazing the music was for our wedding ceremony. It was truly beautiful, made even more special as my lovely cousin Ellen sang and played the fiddle. If you haven't thought of using traditional Irish musicians for your wedding (or other event) then take a few minutes to consider using Davey Music. We have just used Patrick and his group for out third family wedding (which really says it all) and cannot recommend him highly enough, both for the church service and for the reception afterwards. Patrick is very professional but also very easy to deal with, very flexible and very willing to meet beforehand to discuss your choice of music - and don't worry, if you can hum it, Davey Music can play it; they can quite literally play anything. If you're not sure about which tunes you would like, again, don't worry - Patrick and his group have such a wide repertoire that he will certainly be able to recommend something suitable for your needs. I am quite confident that, if you choose Davey Music, you will not be disappointed but those beautiful traditional instruments will add something extra to your special day and will give you and your guests something to talk about and to remember for a long time to come.

Patrick was so helpful when we got in contact to book our wedding music and the day we met him in Belfast he was so friendly and welcoming we knew he was going to be perfect for our day. He was so good to work with, and helped us choose songs for our mass.
Our wedding was cancelled in March with covid and Patrick was so flexible and held multiple dates to try and work with us.
On the day the church music was so beautiful, we loved it and our guests are still talking about it.
Patrick and the girls Colleen and Aoife kindly travelled to kilronan and played beautiful music at our reception drinks. Not only this but they provided our nights music, they played our lovely wedding first song and despite covid our guests were on the dance floor (socially distanced) and loved the music. We loved every minute of it. You won't get any better then Patrick and his girls.

Patrick and his wife Bronagh provided the music for our wedding reception. The music was flawless and the song choice was excellent and fitted the venue perfectly. We had postponed our May wedding due to Covid to next April, but very recently decided to just go ahead with it this September, and Patrick was so accommodating with this change. If you want traditional music, in a relaxing and fun environment davey music is the way to go. Thank you again Patrick and Bronagh.

We had Patrick play at our small outdoor ceremony at Laragh Lodge in Glenariff Forest Park and his performance could not have been more suitable. He was able to offer us a choice of tin whistle, pipes, and flute for the ceremony at a brilliant price for the quality that was supplied. He was happy to play all of our suggested songs and could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommended.

Where do I start! Patrick and the team from Davey Music where AMAZING. The whole lead up to the wedding Patrick was in contact, responsive and informative. I pretty much knew the music I wanted, however, he guided me when I had ask questions. He was honestly just the best I could have asked for to support. On the day the group were out of this world. Everyone complemented the music at the church saying how different it was and how amazing the musicians were. Patrick is super talented playing the uilleann pipes, flute and whistle, he was joined by two stunning ladies, one who played the fiddle player and the other the harp and this lady had a beautiful voice. They continued to play more upbeat and traditional music back at Lough Eske Castle for the welcome drink and well if I could only upload the videos you would be able to see for yourself the crowed they had up dancing before dinner!!!!! They blew us away. It was a magical moment when they played their last piece of music I think it was and everyone was clapping, cheering and dancing whilst my husband and I did a video selfie of it all. I will always remember this music at my wedding and I put this down to Patrick and Davey Music for setting scene. They are incredible and I would recommend them to every bride looking for traditional Irish music.

We had the BEST time! The entertainment made our day so special. Those who took part in the dancing loved it as did those who were watching. Everyone was so accommodating as we ran a little over with time. The band are lovely and in between dances Diarmuid is great craic!

From the first moments I saw a video of Patrick playing the uilleann pipes from our home in Australia, I knew that I had to have his beautiful music playing as I walked down the aisle. It would be fair to say the music he, Bronagh and Cathy provided was a highlight of our wedding for both us and our guests, and we had many guests comment on it. It was so stunningly beautiful. We also asked Patrick to compose an original piece in memory of a close family member. It was all we could have hoped for and more. To present this as a gift to someone close to us was so meaningful and made the day all the more special. When planning our ceremony we had a good idea of the pieces we wanted played, thanks to the huge catalogue of videos Davey Music provides online. Patrick however helped us to place these appropriately, and answered any questions we had quickly and with his usual friendly manner. I would encourage anyone thinking of booking Davey Music to absolutely do so, these talented musicians deserve every accolade they get. The first time we heard Davey Music we knew we wanted them for our wedding ceremony and drinks reception music. We even cancelled the group we had already booked! Right from the start Patrick was warm and very responsive to emails. I liked him straight away and loved that he played the uillean pipes, flute, low flute and tin whistle! When it came to picking the music, he was really helpful and so accommodating when it came to a couple of requests. These are proper professional musicians who will go above and beyond to make your day so unique and special. From start to finish Patrick was a great help and gave us plenty of guidance as we were really unsure of what music to have played at specific times threw the ceremony.
One the day the standard of music was first class and this opinion was shared by many of our guests who have since commented on the service music. For us the mixture of the harp, fiddle and uilleann pipes sent goosebumps right threw us.

When my then-fiancee and I had the idea of asking an Irish folk band to play at our wedding ceremony, we did some searching online but couldn't find many options - then we found Davey Music. We had a very clear idea of the sort of music we wanted and Davey Music absolutely delivered. Not only did they play the pieces and hymns we chose with zero fuss, they adapted things a little to our liking - including bringing a bodhr?n player in and getting the speed of certain pieces just how we wanted them. All the guests seemed to love the music and many told us so on the day. We certainly did, it was just beautiful. Patrick was very professional and easy to talk to. We had a wonderful ceremony and Davey Music was a huge part of that. Thank you again, guys!

We couldn't recommend Davey Music highly enough. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was- and it was a personal highlight for us. The church ceremony was extremely moving, the music was stunning. Patrick has been so helpful throughout the planning process- always responsive to emails, organised and friendly. It has been a pleasure to work alongside him planning the music for our big day.

From start to finish the service we received from Patrick was nothing short of 5*. From the help he provided us when choosing music for our mass. The music in the chapel was so beautiful provided by Patrick on the whistle and pipes, Mairead on the fiddle and Selina on the harp and vocals they even learned a new tune at our request for myself to walk up the aisle 'the little ones' by Maurice Lennon.

Music was also provided for the drinks reception at the hotel where Patrick and Mairead were joined by Paul on the guitar and vocals, the place was hopping when we arrived. The music set a fun and lively atmosphere which lasted the night through.

What can I say about Patrick? He has been a great friend for years and of course it was the easiest decision to have him as part of our music at our wedding. Patrick played along with a number of close friends and nothing was too much. Even when he found out he was organising 16 musicians he took it in his stride and organised practices to ensure everyone knew what they were doing. I picked his own composition 'An Island Lullaby' to walk down the aisle to and to say people are still talking about his pipe playing is an understatement! Patrick made my own traditional group feel at ease and he was more than happy to coordinate the day. Being a fellow musician I would have nothing but the best and Patrick is exactly that. This is a long review, and that's because I am still in awe at what Davey Music managed to pull off at my wedding. My sister and I were students of Patrick Davey's years ago, and Davey Music had done a fantastic job at my sister's wedding in Belfast in 2016. So, when my fianc? and I were organizing our wedding this year, I was really hoping to get Davey Music to play at ours. But, the big stumbling block was that we were getting married in Spain! I messaged Patrick and asked was there any possibility we could sort something out? After looking into the matter, we both realized that, logistically, it would be too complicated, as well as too expensive. I was disappointed but resigned - I had known when we booked the wedding that getting Davey Music to Spain might prove impossible. In order to have some Irish music, even if it wasn't what I?d hoped for, we decided to have traditional music playing on the sound system in the background during the reception. Fast forward a few months and there we were, eating lovely Spanish food and enjoying the amazing weather, when all of a sudden Mr Patrick Davey's voice boomed out of the ceiling with a pre-recorded message for me! I couldn't believe my ears. How on earth was he on the sound system of a Spanish hotel?! He said he was sorry he couldn't be there in person but he?d composed a tune in honour of the event and wished us all the very best in our married life. Then he played the tune and the entire place fell silent listening. I was so happy I cried - and then I prayed my makeup would stay the course! (It did, thankfully!) It turns out Patrick had conspired with my fianc? and my dad, not only to get his composition and message played at our wedding without me knowing anything about it, but also to have a beautiful framed copy of the music as well as a CD sent over from Belfast. Davey Music made our wedding day amazing without even being in the same country! Hats off to you, you did a brilliant job! Muchas gracias! The framed composition will have pride of place in our house.

Davey Music provided the most amazing drinks reception music for us at very short notice for our wedding which included a fair bit of travel. Patrick got back to my enquiry promptly and communication is general was second to none. They were both soo friendly on the day and our guests raved about how great they were, would highly recommend

I was at a wedding in Donegal in the summer and Davey music added to the ambience in the small quaint chapel. The music was just beautiful from the moment the bride walked up the aisle to the pre reception drinks. Would highly recommend Davey Music - could listen to them all day !!

On the day the music was sensational. Everyone commented on how wonderfully talented and friendly the musicians had been. They played our ceremony and also drinks reception. It was such beautiful weather that we asked Patrick and the girls if they would mind playing out in the garden and they were happy to do this. The musical backdrop was lovely and really added to the ambience. We had wanted a Trad feel to our day and they certainly provided this. They were also able to change instruments to suit various songs.

My husband and I have strong ties to both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, so even though we were getting married in Texas, we wanted to include some traditional music for the festivities. Davey Music created and recorded a special song just for us?a combination of a traditional Irish melody and a Texas folk song?and it was such a delightful surprise! From the moment I contacted Patrick about conducting the music at my wedding he was of the greatest help. We met up with him not really knowing what songs and music we wanted but he gave us options, even took out instruments and played tunes for us, and was most efficient and helpful. For our wedding on 31st May 2014 Patrick and his extremely talented team played harp & flute both in the church and at our reception venue , I cannot recommend them highly enough in terms of organisation, professionalism , talent & friendliness !
