From the moment I viewed Doug's music online I knew this was our vibe and he was singing all of our favourites songs! His voice is amazing, with the guitar Doug has such a great sound!
The choice of songs available are vast and would have something for everyone, we wanted music a little bit alternative and that represented us as a couple.
We chose songs from The Cure, The cranberries, the turtles and my bridal entrance was "I wanna hold your hand" by The Beatles, as a massive Beatles fan this song gave me goosebumps walking down the aisle, it was so special to me.
EVERYONE commented on how amazing Doug was and they were all delighted when we had Doug for the reception drinks too, we could hear our guests having a sing-song as we took photos outside, it was their very own private concert. It was great to hear such joy and an amazing atmosphere that Doug brought to our special day, it really started the day on a high.
Doug was very easy to deal with, a gentleman and all requests were accommodated for us, we were delighted with his work. We hope to be able to see him perform again as it is a real treat to hear his music. We'd highly recommend him for any wedding or occasion.

We worked with Doug for our ceremony and drinks reception and we cannot recommend him enough. We appreciated his working style in the lead up to the wedding and Doug is a truly incredible talent! He graciously learned a Dave Matthews Band song for us and played it flawlessly. So many moments with Doug playing were special and our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Doug sang at our wedding ceremony and reception in March 2024. He was absolutely incredible from start to finish. All of our guests commented on how amazing his voice was. We booked Doug to perform at our wedding in Mullingar this past weekend. Doug sang so beautifully at our wedding. His music brought a romantic and warm energy to the ceremony and lots of guests commented and complimented Doug and Aisling who played violin with him. We?re so glad we chose Doug to be our ceremony and drinks reception singer. Not only is his voice incredible!!! He has such a calm, chilled aura which is exactly the vibe we wanted for our ceremony! He even managed to surprise both my husband and I with a song that meant a lot to us and we?re so grateful he did!!

With music being a huge aspect of my life I knew Doug would make it even more special when he was apart of our wedding day! The atmosphere Doug created on the day was non comparable, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Not only is Doug hugely talented but a true gentleman, every request we made, Doug delivered. Doug provided ceremony and reception music for us at our wedding at Barberstown Castle on August 22nd. I knew it would be good when one of our groomsmen turned around before walking down the aisle and said "Where the hell did you guys find this cover of Harvest Moon? It's incredible" only to be blown away that it was Doug playing live. That was the general sentiment the rest of the day. No less than 10 guests came up to us complimenting us on the music, as his reception set list was SPOT ON. The perfect blend of 70s hits - modern, and the whole party was dancing and enjoying the entire time. I can't say enough how talented Doug is both in his music but his ability to work the crowd and read the room. Thank you so much, Doug! You made our day so special.

Asking Doug to sing at our wedding was the easiest and most stress free decision that we made. He had previously sang at my sister's wedding many years ago, so when we were planning our big day, I knew exactly who to ask. He is really lovely to deal with, and is a really talented singer. He played some specially requested songs for us no problem and also did a duet with my sister, which was a stand out moment for us on our day. He was the perfect choice for our wedding. I first heard Doug play 3 years ago at a friend's wedding, so I was very excited when he was available to play at our wedding recently in Castle Leslie (July 2024). He's incredibly talented; has a massive range of songs/genres to choose from, he happily was willing to learn new songs that we wanted to include and on top of all of that, he had a great personality and extremely easy to work with. Doug was absolutely amazing from start to finish for our wedding. He played at our wedding ceremony and the afters. He is truly incredible in every way, his range of songs and his voice is second to none. From the first point of contact with Doug he was so professional and helpful along the way. Doug was contacted by us the day before our wedding at very short notice as we had been let down by another supplier. He provided us with evening reception music. As we were having a small (Covid!) wedding of 25 socially distanced guests, we needed someone who could create an atmosphere even with a small number. Doug certainly did that and more. He is an expert at reading crowds and judging the type of music that would suit the crowd, even taking several requests. He was beyond professional and obliging and we couldn't recommend him highly enough. He made our day so special! A beautiful and talented performer he would a real addition to any ceremony or reception. Top class.

To any couple looking for a singer who can tailor his performance to any type of wedding, you are in very safe hands! Doug was perfect for our intimate humanist service. We were lucky enough to have Doug sing at both our wedding ceremony and our drinks reception. To say that he added to our experience of the day is a huge understatement. Doug's voice (you can hear for yourself by watching his videos online) but also his reading of the room and understanding of what our guests wanted to hear was excellent. We had friends and relatives make a point of speaking to us before and after the meal to compliment the music at both points of the day. That was just the day itself, Doug was also really quick to respond to any queries and also accommodated us in learning a song specifically for our exit. I truly can't recommend him enough. If you're thinking about booking him, do it!!

We booked Doug straight away after hearing him perform at our friends wedding. Doug's version of 'The Vow' was so beautiful as I walked down the aisle with my dad. At one point during the ceremony he got all of our guests singing along with him to 'Is this Love'. It was just so incredible to witness and definitely brought a lump to both of our throats to hear all our loved ones joining in. Doug is so incredibly talented and we are so blessed that he performed at our big day. All of our family and friends commented on how talented he was and how they thoroughly enjoyed listening to him perform at the ceremony and the drinks reception afterwards. He has a wealth of knowledge and really helped us create the perfect set list for our ceremony, which really did set the tone for the day. He was a pleasure to deal with and we would 110% recommend him to anyone who is getting married or looking for a musician.

My wife Kate and I hired Doug for the reception of our wedding on the bank holiday weekend in October last year in the Royal College of Physicians Ireland on Kildare Street for a Humanist ceremony. Doug was an outstanding choice and we still have guests praising him when we look back at the wedding months later. He was a crucial part in creating the brilliant atmosphere we hoped for and achieved on the day. He was a joy to deal with and we'd have no hesitation recommending him for similar events. EDIT: I had to add that his rendition of The Cranberries' 'Dreams' as my wife walked down the aisle was beautiful (as was his performance of Thin Lizzy's 'Dancing in the Moonlight')!

Of all the decisions we made and the things we selected for our wedding day, choosing Doug was by far the best. The performances were beautiful and Doug was able to read the ceremony perfectly to ensure that things kicked in and out at precisely the right moments. We had tons of compliments about him on the day and on a personal level I found him really engaged. I recall catching his eye during his performance of one of our favourite songs and it made it feel so much more personal. The entire room including our celebrant applauded each song and rightly so. Doug was so relaxed and accommodating ahead of the day, he really understood what we were going for and gave us invaluable advice about how best to achieve it. All done with minimum stress and fuss which is exactly what you need when all the planning can drive you crazy. Outstanding value too, by far the best money spent for the day. We couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Doug sang at our wedding on 31st August 2019. Without doubt, he was one of the best highlights from the day. We had so many guests come up to us afterward complimenting him and when he sang our song for us, it's probably one of those special memories that we?ll always hold on to. I think it says a lot that I have never left a review in my life however felt completely obliged after Doug's perfect performances at both the ceremony and drinks reception. Doug sang at our wedding in April and was excellent. All of our guests commented that one of the highlights of the day was listening to Doug sing outside in the sunshine during the drinks reception. From first contact to the wedding day all of the planning with Doug was very easy and nothing was a problem. The advice he gave on selecting songs for the ceremony was very helpful and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a singer for an event

Doug was amazing to deal with, he was completely flexible in what songs we wanted played on our day, and his beautiful voice really added something special to our ceremony. I just wish we could have heard more at our drinks reception but I know all our guest really enjoyed all his songs

Cannot rate Doug highly enough. We organised our wedding at home from Australia and Doug replied to any emails straight away. He answered any questions we had and had really helpful advice. We wanted a few songs that were bit different as well than the usual and Doug was more than happy to help with that for the ceremony and reception. All our guests raved about him - my one regret is we didn't get to hear more of him at the reception when we were off having photos etc! I think I actually preferred his version of some of the songs than the original artists!!!

Heard Doug play for the first time at my sisters wedding and immediately knew that i wanted him to play at my wedding. Unbelievable voice. Made the church ceremony very special for us. Went through a whole list of suggested suitable songs for the church and helped choose the list of songs for the ceremony. Then Played a wide variety of older and newer songs at the reception in the hotel...again, he was unbelievable. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a male solo singer at the ceremony/reception.
