Hilton Vilamoura - Algarve Portugal

We had our wedding in the Hilton Vilamoura and invited 130 guests. Majority of the guests were from the UK where we live so we had to do majority of the planning via email. Nicole was amazing to work with and so helpful right from the very beginning. She gave us every confidence from the first time we met her. The day was perfect and the suppliers she recommended were fantastic too. We would definitely recommend the venue and the food was surperb too!

This was our dream wedding start to finish it was just prefect. Nicole the wedding planner is amazing and I left most decision up to her. she would communicate back and forth to make sure we where happy before she went ahead with anything. We had the ceremony in the romantic garden with 20 of our family and friends then on to the blue lagon for the dinner and party. All our family and friends loved the venue and the food was out of this world. It was a stress free wedding all thanks to the staff at the Hilton. Portugal is just beautiful and I would recommend to anyone thinking of getting married to go abroad if you want a stress free time.

Special praise must go to their wedding coordinator 'Nicole Mestre' she was just amazing with all her assistance.
From the first day we went to view their Hotel as a venue for our wedding, Nicole was truly amazing and made us both feel very special and nothing was a problem. We both remember asking Nicole many questions and all responses were met with a smile and a 'Yes'. We had arranged to view more venues , but deep down upon leaving this hotel we both knew our choice of venue was made. However we proceeded to view other venues but constantly referenced back to the Hilton and how beautiful everything was there. By the end of that day our decision was made and it could be no where else, but the Hilton. When we choose Saturday 16th May we expected an additional charge for the Saturday, as this was the advice we had received from all other venues we had viewed, we were in delighted by the news not only was Saturday 16th May available, but at no additional cost. Nicole provided us with such a variety of different menus at different budgets and we are able to swap and change some menus to suit our requirements and a price per head was agreed.
Everything was falling into place, stress free and we couldn't wait to go back to have our "wedding menu tasting". The Hilton staff treated us like a King and Queen for this experience. They listened and took notes of little changes or recommendations we made and the food was outstanding, as was the service.
We stayed 5 nights at the Hilton for our wedding and from the moment we checked in to the time we checked out we could not find one fault. Everybody made us feel so special at the hotel. It honestly felt as if all staff had been briefed to be extra nice to the bride and groom during our stay but deep down we knew this was not the case. It is just their policy for all guests.
So the big day itself. Our wedding day, the sun was shining, the weather had certainly played its part and so did Nicole and her team. We were married in the 'Romantic Gardens' and the picturesque scene that was created in this area was just fantastic. The colorful flowers, ponds and whole setting in the gardens played a big part in providing the beauty for our photographs. The cocktail session followed the ceremony in the garden and what a beautiful scene for our guests to sit/stand and enjoy whilst having the hors d'ourves and drinks. The scene was just magical and amazing photographs are the proof that we were not in a dream. It was at this time we both smiled and whispered to one another that we had picked the perfect venue. To look around and see our family and friends in awe of the hotel we picked, it made us feel very proud. Whilst we were at the beach having a few pictures taken, Nicola lead our guests to the Ruby bar to unwind and relax and again the staff were amazing ensuring everyone was served in a timely manner. The wedding meal was held in the 'Cilantro Restaurant' . What can we say the restaurant looked amazing with colours, the layout and the food was to die for. The little extra touches (giving the children colouring books and pencils), didn't go unnoticed and were very much appreciated.
Nicole and her team were always on hand throughout the day but also at a distance as to not interfere or disturb.
Any of our guests that had been in contact with Nicole with regards to booking rooms or special request were very complimentary. Indeed all staff at this hotel deserve credit.

So upon reflection of our wedding day, it was truly amazing in every way possible. I know most bride and grooms would say this but we have to say, we have both been to many weddings and the attention to detail in everything the Hilton did surpassed our expectations.
You can do all your planning well in advance of your wedding day, and on the day hope that everything goes accordingly to plan and hope people won't notice if it doesn't but with Nicole and her team as this beautiful 5 star hotel you can be certain that their expertise will shine on your wedding day.

We are already looking forward to returning to the Hilton for a holiday and will definitely go back for our 1st wedding anniversary.
