Jenny Dowdall Cello

Jenny played cello with a piano accompaniment at our wedding drinks reception in Tinakilly this year, and it was absolutely brilliant.
Jenny was so open to our music suggestions, we wanted contemporary songs which Jenny found the music to & it was no problem.
Jenny played outside & we could hear her playing Coldplay as we were getting our photo taken on the grounds, it was amazing.
An absolute pleasure to work with and really added something so special to our day.

We had Jenny at our Christmas wedding. She had been recommended to me by a friend and we weren't disappointed. She has a large repertoire and see said she was happy to add more songs if there was a song in particular we wanted. Incidentally we loved the music choices available and so chose from there.

We were lucky to get Jenny and Aoife (violin). Only for it was a Bank Holiday Monday, probably we would not have been so lucky. They were performing at weddings the previous four days. The point being they are very popular and for good reason, so BOOK EARLY!
Jenny provided an extensive songlist and tbh, you will probably find suitable songs there but communication was easy and Jenny was open to requests for different songs.
All in all, cello and violin really added to the ceremony and afters, and Jenny and Aoife made the whole process seamless.

Jenny and 3 of her colleagues played as a string quartet for our wedding and we could not have been more happy with them! The music was absolutely fantastic and was commented on by many of our guests. One of our bridemaids was singing two songs during the ceremony and they practiced with her for an hour beforehand which was so helpful. Lastly, dealing with Jenny was an absolute pleasure and we could not recommend her more!

Jenny and Jane were terrific! The comfort and quality they provided was priceless. Their playing during such an exciting, surreal, adrenaline-filled time was just amazing. From the moment I got near to the ceremony and heard the playing it made me smile and gave me such a reassuring feeling that everything planned was going smoothly. They did a terrific job with the solos during the ceremony and were super accommodating when asked to play songs they did not know. Their playing during the cocktails was also amazing and it added such a great feeling to the day. From the beginning Jenny was so helpful, flexible and responsive - we were both very excited and comfortable knowing they were set to play on the day.

Jenny and her pianist partner were amazing! They played beautifully, and they were flexible to move from inside to outside as needed with the weather! She allowed me to choose the songs from a large selection, and we were really pleased with them. What a beautiful performance!

I was very throuough with Jenny when it came to selection of pieces and scheduling when to play them. Jenny would have received a lot of emails from me through the process. As I was quiet picky it would of helped if I was able to pick from sound bytes of Jenny playing the tracks. Since we were going with a single chello it was hard to source samples from you tube for some of the pieces. That being said we were delighted with the recital on the day which Jenny performed to spec. I'm only sorry I we had to go off for photos during reception and miss some of the music I had selected. But I did receive a lot of positive feedback about the performance from the guests afterwards. Thank you Jenny

Jenny was wonderful - we emailed back and forth from Sydney where we are based - nothing was a hassle or in any way problematic. She was happy to play anything we wished for and also made some suggestions to refine the play list. On the day, she was charming, sweet, present, played wonderfully and departed. I would recommend her very highly.

We had our wedding in a small church and Jenny was absolutely perfect for our ceremony. We were looking for a solo musician and we couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Jenny worked around timings of our ceremony and was very accommodating with song choices off her advertised playlist. Many of our guests commented on the beautiful "tear-jerking" music.

We cannot recommend Jenny enough on so many levels, from value for money to professionalism and above all, amazing talent!
