Karl Lesley Vocalist

Karl Lesley hails from Dublin, Ireland but has lived in Co. Meath for the last seven years. He is a professionally trained vocalist and has worked with some of the best vocal coaches in the country.

Karl is one of the most sought after vocalists in the country with vast experience performing in bands, musicals, pantos and choirs. He is no stranger to the wedding industry and currently gigs across the country on a weekly basis with renowned wedding band Catch22 which has been active for over seventeen years.It is rare to find a male singer in an industry that can be described as predominantly a female industry.

Music and performance have always been an important aspect in Karl's life. In 2013, he studied a Diploma in Professional Musicianship From BIMM College Dublin. He subsequently entered theVoice of Irelandwhere he made it through to the live shows with coach Kian Egan from Westlife. He was also fortunate to work alongside Danny Jones from McFly and The Voice Kids.

Karl has featured in lead roles in a number of Irish-based musicals and has experience working on set at some of the most prestigious theatre stages. Some of Karl’s roles to date include Tom Collins in Rent (Nominated for an AIMS Award 2012), Pirelli in Sweeney Todd (The Civic Theatre), The Arbiter in Chess (The Draiocht Theatre), and Ensemble in Jerry Springer the Opera (Bord Gáis Energy Theatre). Karl has always had a passion for performing arts and also completed a course in Drama and Advanced Actor Training in Bull Alley in 2014. Karl is also a secondary school music teacher and graduated from DCU with an Honours degree in Music and Religion Education.

Karl has also performed on The Late Late Show and this year was lucky enough to travel to Bahrain in Western Asia to perform for the Irish Society that resides there.
