Come with an idea, and let us do the rest. We will take you through the stages of having a unique and special wedding dress created just for you.
We at Margaret Coyne Couture specialize in custom designed, one-of-a-kind special occasion pieces, from luxury bridal gowns to exquisite mother-of-bride or groom outfits or a red carpet showstopper, our approach is client-centred with an emphasis on cut, fit and finish.
We give you a couture and bespoke experience in a relaxed and friendly setting in our atelier in Dowra Co. Cavan. We will talk and sketch you through the design process and talk all things cloth, trimming and silhouette. We only use premium fabrics from around the world and you can choose from our extensive range of samples. When a design and fabric has been chosen and measurements taken, the next step is a toile fitting, before moving onto the selected cloth and the final fitting stage.
We advise a 6 month wait time on all orders, but rush orders are possible, just ask!
We also make custom headpieces, including veils and fascinators to match your special outfit so you can be dressed from head to toe, knowing that you are wearing quality Irish couture.

Margaret made me feel like all my wild ideas could come to life and be possible. When I first visited her studio in Dowra on a trip home during the summer last year, she sketched each one of these concepts perfectly. Margaret was the obvious choice; I just had to make the tough decision of deciding on just one of the designs.
I wanted to be completely myself on my wedding day, so my dress needed to represent me authentically, yet I wanted it to be timeless, and Margaret achieved this through her gifted hands and hours of work. With each visit to Margaret's studio, the dress became more refined, polished, and unique with fun detachable elements, all the while being beautiful beyond my wildest dreams.
I cannot thank Margaret enough for creating the most beautiful gown that I will cherish forever - I minded it like a baby on our wedding day (even Shaun did his best not to step on my floaty organza overskirt, tulle veil, or crepe skirt). I know many people consider reinventing their dress, but I cannot imagine ever putting a scissors to perfection.
We counted that there were actually six ways to wear my dress; however, we opted for three looks on the day. I cannot wait for the professional photos back to see all its features and various forms in all of its glory.
I cannot recommend Margaret enough. She is the most gifted lady with the kindest soul. She even made a stunning hat that perfectly complimented my mother's look on the day. I don't know what is sadder - the fact I will never get to wear my magnificent dress again or the fact I no longer will be visiting Margaret in her studio. Although, never say never! Margaret is a true artist, and her creations are a testament to her talent and dedication.
