Although Ireland is full of many beautiful bridal stores (and while I did visit a few), I wanted a dress unique to me that I wouldn't see anywhere else. I had toyed with the idea of designing my own wedding dress and almost dismissed it - too afraid to go through with it in case I didn't like the end result. However, when I reached out to Margaret Coyne Couture via email all the way from Qatar, I knew from that very first inquiry that there was something truly special about Margaret.

Margaret made me feel like all my wild ideas could come to life and be possible. When I first visited her studio in Dowra on a trip home during the summer last year, she sketched each one of these concepts perfectly. Margaret was the obvious choice; I just had to make the tough decision of deciding on just one of the designs.

I wanted to be completely myself on my wedding day, so my dress needed to represent me authentically, yet I wanted it to be timeless, and Margaret achieved this through her gifted hands and hours of work. With each visit to Margaret's studio, the dress became more refined, polished, and unique with fun detachable elements, all the while being beautiful beyond my wildest dreams.

I cannot thank Margaret enough for creating the most beautiful gown that I will cherish forever - I minded it like a baby on our wedding day (even Shaun did his best not to step on my floaty organza overskirt, tulle veil, or crepe skirt). I know many people consider reinventing their dress, but I cannot imagine ever putting a scissors to perfection.

We counted that there were actually six ways to wear my dress; however, we opted for three looks on the day. I cannot wait for the professional photos back to see all its features and various forms in all of its glory.

I cannot recommend Margaret enough. She is the most gifted lady with the kindest soul. She even made a stunning hat that perfectly complimented my mother's look on the day. I don't know what is sadder - the fact I will never get to wear my magnificent dress again or the fact I no longer will be visiting Margaret in her studio. Although, never say never! Margaret is a true artist, and her creations are a testament to her talent and dedication.

Margaret is an incredibly talented lady and it was a pleasure to get to know her in the lead up to our wedding. She took on the task of making my dress at very short notice, with the added challenge of accommodating a heavily pregnant bride ! It is a measure of her skill and professionalism that on the day I felt confident and comfortable wearing her exquisite creation. Margaret is very humble and unassuming which belies her phenomenal skill and creativity. She knew instinctively what would work and gently guided me through the process. I would highly recommend Margaret to any bride to be in the country.

Getting Margaret to make my stunning dress, and customised veil was the best decision I made in regards to my wedding preparations.

From start to finish she was so easy to communicate with and her experience and expertise in wedding dresses - design and craftsmanship was second to none. I began planning my elopement style wedding in very short notice , the most important part for me was finding the perfect dress for the unique occasion . Margaret works so effortlessly and with such professionalism and kindness ..nothing was a problem . she is truely talented and made me feel like the only bride in the world . She is gifted . From the first meeting with Margaret she made the whole process of designing my wedding dress so enjoyable and unique to me. From follow up fittings and changes to being so professional and wonderful to work with. I loved going for my fitting updates with her and even when I found out I was pregnant it didn't matter as she altered and adjusted to suit. On the day of the wedding it was the most comfortable dress to wear for the day and the number of compliments on the dress people are still talking about it. On one of my visits with my daughter for her wedding dress fitting with Margaret I asked her if she would make a Mother of the Bride outfit. (This was mid Devember). I gave her an idea of what I would like. She sketched out a drawing for me there and then. Within 4_ 5weeks Margaret had designed and made the most faboulous outfit. I can honestly say I felt and looked a million dollars in it. She also made my hat. I cannot recommend Margaret enough. She was so accommodating with her time and nothing was a problem for her. She took the whole stress out of shopping for an outfit. So many people came to me on the day of the wedding to compliment my outfit and enquire where I got it. I think that in itself is a glowing tribute to Margaret. Margaret thanks a million. Any Mother of the Bride looking for an outfit need look no further than Margaret.

Ladies, I can't recommend Margaret Coyne Design enough. I had a vision for my dress of dreams so opted for the couture experience. To my delight Margaret understood exactly what I wanted! Her interest and investment in me and my dress was apparent every step of the way. Studios which offer such expertise, knowledge and understanding of form and fit are few and far between- believe me I've been to a few! It is of no surprise that Margaret has worked on some of the most beautiful bridal gowns worn by Ireland's most Instagramable. Five star service!
