The Music Planners is bespoke Wedding Ceremony and Drinks Reception music outfit, based in Waterford and for surrounding areas. We also offer variety of packages for your day two celebrations.

Piano and Vocals, by Jean Upton and Luke Donnelly, with the option of adding guitar, additional vocals and/or violin.

Jean is the founder and owner of Waterford Centre of Music, where she teaches piano and musicianship and where Luke is our head vocal tutor. Paul Haberlin on guitar and vocals, with Ellenor Upton on violin complete the full outfit.

We are all fully qualified music teachers and experienced musicians, each holding a third level BA Hons Degree in Music and have worked with a multitude of bands, orchestras, choirs and recording artists across the country.

Wedding music is a speciality of ours and, with over 10 years experience in the wedding industry performing at ceremonies and drinks receptions, we will work hands on with you on making a beautifully personalised wedding soundtrack that reflects your individual tastes. By blending your style, personality and life experience, with that of your other half, we will musically create a ceremony that is designed specifically for you.

We love nothing more than creating a song list, from any genre of music, adding our contemporary twist, and make it fitting for the style of your ceremony.

The beauty of music is that it touches everyone, and we are here to ensure that your wedding music is a perfect reflection of how you want your big day to FEEL.

From the first contact with Jean to walking down the aisle as a married couple , the whole process was seamless! Jean and Elleanor and the most amazing musicians , who didn't flinch at our unusual choice of songs. The music on the day was perfect and everything we hoped for. From the moment we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted music to be a big part of the day. We are so happy we chose The Music Planners for our ceremony and drinks reception. They couldn’t have been more helpful in the lead up to our day. Their calm, relaxed and professional approach was exactly what we needed. For the ceremony, we had Luke on vocals, Ellenor on violin and Jean on piano, they are masters of their craft. It was so special and emotional to hear their performance. The music set the entire tone of the ceremony and the guys absolutely nailed it! For the drinks reception we had Paul perform. His ability to hold a crowd is exceptional and his performance really got the party started. It was lovely to look around the room and see everyone really enjoy the atmosphere he created. We would highly recommend The Music Planners, they made our day so special.

The music planners have it all!
They offer the full package and as the name suggests,they literally plan it all for you to perfection.
I would highly recommend them for your ceremony. Every style & taste of music is catered for by the music planners. They have a talent for making music so personal to the wedding couple it makes them stand out from the rest!. I might add they are very easy going with a super,friendly and up for the craic attitude you could bring them anywhere.

The Music Planners were just amazing. Our church ceremony was our favourite part of our wedding day. The music was so fitting and represented us as a couple. The team were able to include all of our chosen songs in the ceremony, even re-arranging some pieces to suit the tone of the day. Instrumentals of some songs were also used to ensure they could be included. We still listen often to our wedding playlist. Thank you to The Wedding Planners for making our day so special.
