We had the Waxies for our wedding on the 8th of May 2026. We would highly recommend them. From when we first got in touch to the day of the wedding they were so easy to deal with. They had the dancefloor full all night, and they were great fun. All age groups hit the dancefloor and so many people told us how impressed they were with them. We're going to a wedding in August and the lads are going to be playing, we're really looking forward to seeing them again!

The waxies played for our wedding on the 30th of April. The dance floor was full all night and the lads we're absolutely brilliant and great craic! The choice of music was brilliant and they catered to all ages and tastes. From the time of booking Tony has been a pleasure to deal with and always responded quickly to any questions.

What can we say about this amazing band?! From the initial contact to the floor, ye were nothing short of brilliant! The way ye started the 1st dance was unreal and nothing was ever an issue! Our guests are still raving about ye! There was a mixture of music for all ages which was impressive to be fair. Loved how ye came out on the floor with the crowd and I was one of those people that was on the floor for 99% of the night. Truly, ye made the music and ye made our wedding!

We honestly cant recommend the Waxies highly enough! They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and had the dance floor full all night. Everyone is still talking about how brilliant the music was. They created such an amazing atmosphere and kept the energy going the entire evening. One thing we really appreciated was how accommodating they were and how they made us feel completely at ease for our first dance, which we were a little nervous about. We couldn’t have asked for a better band for our wedding day and we are so grateful they were part of it. We would highly recommend the lads to any couple looking for a band that will keep the party going and dance floor full all night! They are out on their own. 100% recommend 🎶✨

We had The Waxies as the band and DJ set on our wedding day in February 2026 and it was one of the great highlights of the day for us.
The guys were great craic and were so easy to deal with from us first getting in touch through to performing on our wedding day.
Choosing a band was one of our greatest worries for the wedding, however, The Waxies by far exceeded all expectations. They kept the dance floor full all evening, played a variety of songs which catered for all our guests, and mixed things up with stuff like playing some games, calling the Seige of Ennis, and the Conga with the whole room involved.
So many of our guests commented how great The Waxies were and what a difference they made to the evening keeping it lively and bouncing until the very end at 2 AM.
Neil is Scottish and they went to the effort of learning Loch Lomond which was much appreciated and enjoyed by all our guests.
The Waxies created such an amazing atmosphere all the way through our wedding night and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.

We got married 06.02.2026 and could not have been happier with the lads! They kept the dance floor full all night but brought lots of fun and craic with them too, they had a great mix of songs and catered for everyone, when there was a bit of a lull with the dancing, they started a conga line, and they played some games. All our guests loved them and have been praising them ever since! The guys were a pleasure to deal with as well, no hassle and nothing was a big deal. Everything was just relaxed and fun! We could not be happier with them, it was such a great night! The guys supplied our DJ and saxophone too and I would highly recommend!

We couldn't praise The Waxies enough. The lads are so relaxed and engaging and kept the floor full all night. They mixed with everyone and checked in with us and nothing was a problem. They also did the DJ set for us & they had the place rocking. Couldn't fault a single thing.

We booked the waxies for our wedding 2 years in advance. The service these lads provide is absolutely second to none. They had the floor packed all night, had a great set of songs and interacted with our guests. We were never hesitant to ask any questions at anytime and they are so quick to respond. All our guests were delighted with the music, there was something for everyone. Honestly we would recommend the waxies band to everyone we know as you’re guaranteed to fill the dance floor, plenty of dancing and overall a great night.

I booked the waxies band sax and DJ for my nye wedding 2025 and what a night we had! The dance floor was hoping all night
We wanted everyone to join in for our first dance and they made it happen and kept the floor full all night.
The communication was excellent if I had a question they replied so quickly and even when I didnt ask anything they got in contact with me 12 months to go 6 months to go and a few weeks to go checking in to see how all the plans were going.
I couldn't fault anything about them and so happy we decided to book them.
Theres so many bands out there and its a tough decision but I can honestly say I wouldn't of chose anyone else.

We had the pleasure of having The Waxies play at our wedding, and they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Not only did they perform as a live band, but they also acted as our DJ, and honestly, the dance floor was never empty!
The band's energy was infectious, and they did an amazing job of keeping the party going all night long. Every single one of our guests had nothing but compliments for them. The variety of music they played was perfect, and we loved the special touch of Christmas songs—they really got everyone in the festive spirit!

I dont even know how to put into words how amazing and talented this band is. 🎸 We booked the boys for our wedding in August and from the very first conversation we knew we had made the best choice. ❤️ they are so easy to deal with and make u feel like you have known them for years. No words can describe the absolute craic we had at our wedding in August thanks to the waxies! The dance floor was full the whole night and it was constant bangers played one after the next. There wasn’t a hint of a lull at any stage while the lads were playing. Tony was great to work with all the way along. We had the dj too and honestly I couldn’t fault the lads. I found the waxies through my buddies wedding, the dancefloor was packed all night and I wanted the same for my own wedding. They didn't let us down! We had a blast, my wife was even up on stage with them and the craic was top notch.
Theyre great value for the money, we got the diamond package and it was worth every penny.

I got married last Friday and had the pleasure of the Waxies performing at it. They were incredible. To the point where guests said to me that they were waiting for the band to play a song they didn’t like so they could take a break from dancing! Tony and the band were incredible, and always just an email away if there were any questions to be answered. We honestly could not have picked a better band. The DJ stayed on too and kept the dance floor filled all night! We’re so happy we went with them, everyone went to bed with sore feet from dancing all night. 10/10 and would recommend them to absolutely anybody, they catered for young and old alike. They were incredible and a highlight of the wedding.

Had our wedding in August and these guys were absolutely brilliant. So entertaining and gave them the task to learn a song the day before the wedding to have as our first dance. Boy did they pull it off it was incredible. People said it was the best wedding they ever attended. 100% recommend these guys for your wedding you will not regret it. This is what you call a band and they interact with the crowd too which we loved. Also they played the shoe game, the guests loved it. There is no other band that can get a crowd going like The Waxies can! We love all music but tend to lean more to a rock kind of sound and our older guests were a bit worried about what band we were going to get 🙈 but we knew The Waxies would gauge the crowd and know what to play almost instinctively, and we weren’t wrong!
Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had, we feel like something was played for everyone’s tastes but it still felt like our wedding where we got to enjoy the night with songs we love.
Could not recommend Tony and the lads enough, they are master entertainers as well as talented musicians. You will not be disappointed- book them now!

I have seen the Waxies play at many weddings in the past so they were always my first choice when we got engaged. Their ability to get the crowd on the floor is brilliant and exactly what I wanted. Their responses back to enquiries I can honestly say is next to none. The lads are on the ball there and so helpful with answering questions. I had the honour of John making us a mashup for our first dance song ‘Stargazing’ which goes from the slowed down version to the faster/upbeat one. It flowed amazingly and I was so very impressed, exactly what I wanted and sounded incredible. Highly recommended contacting this band you really wont regret it. We had so many compliments in the band and the lads were all good fun. They really really made the evening the best fun possible. The music was banging and they had something for absolutely everyone. We had the lads play at our wedding in Killarney 29/6/24 and they were unbelievable! They entertained everyone from smallies to oldies and everyone in between! The craic was savage and all.our guests are still going on about them. They played all the usual wedding tunes, they rocked the siege of Ennis and also played the unusual songs we wanted like Rage against the machine and some old school Prodigy towards the end :) if you are thinking about getting the lads just go for it, there isn't a better band for the craic! The Waxies played our wedding and they were great craic, the sound quality on their system was top notch. Guests all complemented the song selection which we left more or less up to the band.
They also did a DJ set for us and took a large group of guests through the steps to The Walls of Limerick. It was nice to be able to incorporate this style of céilí dance into the evening without needing to hire a separate Caller and Céilí band.

Having spent my early 20s at Waxies gigs I knew when I got engaged who I wanted to play at my wedding and as expected they did not disappoint. The craic and banter was next level with games to entertain. The music was fun and the dance floor was never empty. Really reasonably priced, professional, but most importantly relaxed! We had the Waxies play at our wedding back in July and oh my god they were absolutely brilliant! They cater for all different age groups and styles of music. Our guests were delighted and the floor was filled all night. Value for money, don't hesitate on booking the lads! Very professional and great lads to deal with.

We where lucky enough to be able to book the waxies for our wedding .There is no other band like them in the country . On the night they had the dance floor packed ,Interacted with the crowd all night long and they don't take themselves too seriously . We got nothing but good feedback from our guests . Sorting first dance songs etc with Tony was done in 1 txt message . One of the least stressful things about organising a wedding was booking The waxies . We would recommend them to anybody.

They were simply the best part of the night, everyone enjoyed them. They provided music for all ages and tastes and were able to read the crowd well to make sure the songs they were playing were keeping people up dancing! They also captured some funny parts of the night that we wouldn't have remembered otherwise with their video.

We had The Waxies Wedding Band as the band and dj for our wedding on the 19th of May. They were absolutely amazing!!! They had our guests up dancing all night (we even did a Siege of Ennis, badly I might add!). They sent us on a song list in advance of the wedding and we were able to give a guide of what kind of music we liked which was brilliant. The lads were great craic and lots of our guests commented that the music was the best they had experienced at a wedding in years. The music suited a wide age range and people were commenting that they saw friends/relatives up dancing who never usually take to the dance floor. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Waxies to anyone looking for a wedding band and dj.

The Waxies were simply incredible, from start to finish!! I have never seen people, of all ages, enjoy themselves and dance so much. The kids absolutely loved getting up on stage and getting involved with the band. They are the best bunch of lads you could wish to have at your wedding. We were absolutely thrilled with the Waxies, they are lovely lads easy to deal with. Let's just say our dance floor was packed from start to finish couldn't have asked for a better band/music. One word Amazzzzzzzing !!!!! The lads played at our wedding on the 2nd March 2023 in kilkenny . They smashed it!!!!!!!!!!! . Anthony and john are the soundest lads ever!!!!!!!!!! . We herd so many people saying book just book them !!!. They played loads and loads of songs had everyone up jiving waltzing . They rocked out to the weee hours od the morning . Would highly recommend great to have a band that includes kids and teenagers and we all know there not easily pleased and makes them part of it all the guests had nothing but good things to say and everyone was on the dance floor from the very start would highly recommend

The waxies were top notch from the first point of contact through to the big day! Tony was a gent, great communication and very laid back. Had the dance floor hopping all night right through to the early hours. Guests still raving about them. Great band and would highly recommend.

Best craic ever! The lads had everyone up all night dancing and had the same craic going as they used to when I saw them in Santa Ponsa! They played a load of different types of music and brilliant interaction with the crowd. Can't wait to see them play again!

We had the Waxies for our wedding and from the second they started they had our dancefloor full. It doesn't matter if your 9 or 90 they will play something for absolutely everyone and keep your wedding guests singing, dancing and laughing from start to finish.They don't just stand on a stage and sing they interact with everyone in the room.Tony was an absolute pleasure to deal with in the build up to our wedding. We had the waxies for our wedding, they kept the floor full all night long, we originally booked the lads in 2018 for our 2020 wedding and like so many others we had to postpone til this year. From the very beginning ringing the lads was like ringing a friend, nothing was too much hassle always so fast to respond to any questions and on the night they were brilliant, played for everyone, Tony even came out on the floor with the kids to do baby shark!! They are so well able to read the crowd and a month later we are still hearing how great the band was, people that weren't at our wedding are talking about how good the band was. Even the teenagers at our wedding said the band was really good. Best decision ever was picking the waxies, even when we had to pick our new dates we were not willing to loose them so we said we'd go with what dates they had available. Definitely won't be disappointed with the lads they will make your night!!

The waxies played at our wedding earlier this year. They also did DJ. They were the entire making of the wedding. From the minute they arrived the lads are all round great craic, they get the crowd going instantly. They come in and blend in as if you know them years, and it's not possible to be shy around them. They play every type of music you ask. They called me in the lead up to chat about the first dance, the one part of the day i was dreading, and they were great and made me realise it was no big deal they gkt the crowd up around us in seconds.

The lads are just incredible start to finish, if yer looking for a band to keep the dance floor full these are your lads. Absolutely brilliant entertainment and really interacts with all the guests seated or dancing, not afraid to get out and dance themselves either!! Also they did a lovely few songs just for my kids and others and got them involved with the dance actions, fantastic memories to cherish! So both young and old loved them. Great choice of songs again for all ages,they are just naturals and know what the crowd wants. Also provided a disco after which was fantastic not to have to get in somebody else so completely hassle free and I received the most fabulous video clip from the night in full swing. So calming and professional to work with nothing was to much bother for them and had the dancefloor packed all night long, months after our wedding we still have guests talking about how great and interactive our band was! My brother had the waxies at their wedding in 2015 and the whole place was raving about them for months after. When we were planning our wedding it was a no brainer who our band would be, we had an original date for 2020 which was moved to 2021, the lads were so accommodating and flexible to just switch over to our new date. I could not recommend them enough, they just are an epic wedding band, I'll be telling my other brother to get them booked up for his upcoming wedding!!

From the time we contacted you guys till the date of our Wedding you guys wer nothing but helpfull responsive and through everything that was going on so supportive and not to mention total value for money. From when the first dance was over you guys busted straight into dance floor fillers we literally spent the night dancing away with our friends and family and we loved how personal and craic filled you guys made the whole night from start to finish . All throughout the nite everyone was running from the tables straight back out because song after song you guys pulled it out of the bag . Everyone was talking about yi all through the nite and the next day and myself and abby wer so happy to have chosen yi as our band . Another great thing was having you doing the dj as well , the transition from one to the other was flawless and you wer so approachable throughout the nite to play songs everyone requested and no person was turned away . The random walk about with the camera on the dance floor will have memories we will cherish forever and it's another great service you supplied. We loved every second of it and it's easy to see why you guys are so in demand . 1 million percent the only wedding band that we would have ever wanted. And surpassed our expectations we will be at many a gig for the future Thanks from Tommy, Abby, Casey and Brooke .

I couldn't fault the lads, they were fantastic.
If I was to to the wedding all over again I wouldn't change the band. They were so good, had everyone one up dancing new what songs to play. I couldn't have been happier to have the lads as my band.

Hi my son got the waxies for his wedding and they were absolutely brilliant. The Craig and banter between the band and the guests really brought everyone together and made the day. They played for all ages and nationalities at the wedding and were very professional throughout the day. They even sat at the kiddies table having dinner and were having the Craig with them. Absolutely brilliant. Would highly recommend.

The Waxies helped us with celebration of our wedding when the Ireland was getting out of COVID restrictions. There were very flexible with numerous changes we had to overcome. It was small private wedding in our private garden and thank to them it was brilliant. Ourselves and our guests, we all loved them. It's worth to mention the wedding was mixed of polish and Irish guests and they manage to include few polish songs which I'm very grateful for!
I recommend them to everyone getting married! They're amazing!

The Waxies were absolutely brilliant the whole way through, from the very first time I spoke to them right up until the very end of the big day in what was extremely difficult circumstances due to covid they just made my life extremely easy. They really made our day with the craic and banter with the guests, played great music. All my guests were contacting me days after the wedding raving about the Waxies. My best man booked them on the night for his wedding even though he wasn't engaged yet!!! Would highly recommend to anyone getting married. My wife is polish and they researched some polish wedding song on their own initiative to include the polish guests. Absolutely brilliant craic.

2 years to the day and The Waxies are still putting on a show for us. Just sent me a video they took throughout the night of our wedding and i want to do it all over again. From start to finish they had the place hopping. The dance floor was full all night and no song suggestion was a problem. The lads were full of fun and made our night exactly that.

We booked The Waxies for our wedding in September 2019. I honestly could not recommend them enough, the lads were great to respond to any queries or questions I had. We had seen them before in Santa Ponsa and at other weddings but in our opinion they were the best we had ever seen them at our wedding ????.. They had everyone up dancing all night and really interacted with our guests. For the money we paid (cheapest out of all the bands we priced) they were exceptional.. We even got a little video of the night which is amazing to have and we have had lots of laughs watching it back. Thank you so much again for making our night amazing and we couldnt reccomend ye enough ????

I saw the Waxies at a friend's wedding and it was honestly the best night ever, we were on the dance floor all night as John and Tony have such a huge variety of songs they never ran out of hits. Absolutely fantastic from start to end. My husband is Irish and I am Scottish and we had a big Scotland vs ireland dance off. Songs from both countries had the dance floor packed from start to end! Would highly recommend!

After seeing The Waxies in Santa Ponsa i really wanted them for my wedding but was afraid that they would be outside my budget...but it turned out that they did the church, the reception and DJ for less than it would have cost me to hire just a band for the reception...the church music was beautiful and people are STILL talking about how wonderful they were..
