We recently celebrated our wedding at the Abbey Hotel Roscommon on the 30th of May 2025, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish, everything was absolutely seamless.
We had 120 guests, and every single one of them was raving about the food, it was not only delicious but incredibly generous in portions. The service throughout the entire day was flawless it as quick, professional, and so friendly. It made everything feel effortless for us and our guests.
A special mention has to go to Lisa, our wonderful wedding coordinator. She was an absolute gem to deal with so organised, calm, and helpful in the lead-up to the big day and on the day itself. The ballroom looked stunning, beautifully decorated with thoughtful extra touches that really made it feel special.
What we loved most was how relaxed the entire day felt. There was never a moment of stress. Everything flowed naturally, and it meant we could truly enjoy ourselves and soak it all in.
To the entire team at the Abbey Hotel thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams. We’ll never forget it, and we’ll be singing your praises for years to come!

We were recommended the Abbey Roscommon by friends. After checking it out and meeting Lisa we knew it was the perfect location. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, perfect for pictures inside and out, especially with the old abbey and the gorgeous staircase. The staff were amazing on the day, they honestly could not have done more for us. And Lisa was a pleasure to work with. I can honestly say that I did not have one worry about the day, Lisa had everything organised. The food is so fabulous!

We literally do not know where to start with a review. From before we even booked a date for wedding we were made feel welcome in the Abbey. Throughout planning our special day nothing was out of reach. Lisa, Adrian and their amazing staff went over and beyond for us. Our ball room was out of this world the attention to detail was incredible!!
Our food on the day was second to none, every guest spoke about how good the food was the service and the wine.
The bar staff were an absolute credit to the hotel they were so efficient which went down a treat with our guests.
We were made feel so special in the Abbey, especially by Adrian and Lisa.
All our guests commented on how beautiful the Abbey is and how well the grounds look.
The only negative thing we can say is the day went so fast!!

The Abbey Hotel Roscommon is an amazing venue. Lisa and the Grealy Family are so easy to work with and nothing is a problem. They go above and beyond to unsure your day runs smoothly. The service throughout the whole day was fantastic from the greeting you receive at door to the friendly and helpful receptionists, to the bar staff and the floor staff the whole day was magnificent. I cannot recommend the Abbey Hotel enough. Thank you for everything.

We had our wedding here on the 24th June 2023 and it wad everything we dreamed of. We had a couple of days rain before our day so we decided to have our ceremony inside, the staff did an amazing job making the room look beautiful which allowed myself and Ian to relax the evening before knowing we were in good hands. Our wedding day was absolutely amazing the sun was shining which allowed us to get pictures outside with the amazing back drop of the abbey. The food on the day was amazing everyone commented on the food so thank you chef. Lisa the wedding co ordinator was brilliant helped us work through any issues we were having and thanks to her our day went off without any trouble. Would 100% recommend the abbey to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

A massive thank you to all at Abbey Hotel for making our wedding day so special. From day one when we walked in the door we fell in love- not only with the venue but with the service, the food and the general atmosphere. We lost count of the compliments our guests gave the hotel- mostly commenting on the service, but also the magnificent food and beautiful decor. Lisa, the wedding co-ordinator, was magic from day one. Nothing was an issue. The whole team made all our dreams come true and gave us a day that we will never forget.

The Abbey, and particularly Lisa and Adrian Grealy couldn't have done enough for us. It really felt like home to us the weekend of our wedding, and every single thing was impeccable, from the food to the staff to the rooms to the weather! Every single guest commented on how wonderful the food was and how friendly and helpful the staff are. From our initial meeting with Lisa we knew we were in safe hands, nothing was an issue or concern she promised she would make it happen and make our day special. Lisa & the abbey certainly delivered. We had great piece of mind in the run up to the wedding knowing we could trust Lisa & Adrian and helped us be at complete ease on the day. The abbey have the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, which allowed us and our guests to relax and enjoy the day while being completely looked after every second.
Our wedding meal was outstanding, all our guests commented on how excellent the service and food was on the day. The meal was served in a timely manner, food was served hot and the dishes were simply delicious. Ciara,Edmund,Stuart,Jack are just a few names that stood out to Adrian and I who really cared for our guests and delivered excellent service behind the bar and during the meal. The entire Team at the Abbey were helpful, friendly and professional, we honestly felt like we were leaving friends. We cant thank Lisa and the Team enough for delivering our perfect special day and making it completely stress free, we enjoyed every second.

We had our wedding reception at the Abbey Hotel. Everything ran really smoothly. Our guests were very happy with the way everything went. The hotel worked very well with our other suppliers too. We picked the abbey for the food, beautiful grounds and wedding photo options. Any dietary requirements we asked for were all handled very well. Lorna was always there to answer any queries and give help where possible in the lead up to the day itself. I would like to thank Lorna and the whole team there. We and our guests had a lovely day.

Dream wedding venue! Every part of planning the wedding was stress free thanks to the team at the Abbey - we felt so confident that everything was under control from day one and any and all requests we had were graciously accommodated. Lorna, the wedding coordinator, is absolutely out of this world! She is an amazing person to deal with - organized, efficient, enthusiastic, warm and more than accommodating. She really made sure every part of our vision was achieved. It was all of the personal touches and little extras that made the day so perfect and we cannot say thank you enough to Lorna and her team. On the day of the wedding, we were blown away by how special everyone at the Abbey made us feel - the greeting by Lorna along with numerous staff members as well as Adrian Greally (family who own the hotel) on arrival, going above and beyond to ensure that our day was absolutely spectacular. We were lucky enough to get a dry & sunny September day and got some beautiful pictures on the grounds, the setting is just stunning. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented - They accommodated a huge amount of different dietary requirements of our guests with ease as well as switching up the vegetarian options for the bride. Our guests were raving about the food. The friendliness of every member of staff our guests encountered was phenomenal. Could not recommend this venue more!

We got married in the Abbey Hotel in April 22 and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. From our very first meeting with the wedding planner, we felt assured that everything we wanted could be delivered and that we didn't have to worry about the running of our big day, the Abbey would take care of it all. They were so easy to deal with and very responsive to our requests during the planning process. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly. We were given a warm welcome on arrival by our coordinator and the hotel owners. The Abbey was so well staffed, both behind the bar and during dinner service which was something very important to us. The food was simply beautiful, it really is one of the best wedding venue's around when it comes to food quality. So many of our guests raved about the meal afterwards. All in all, we couldn't recommend The Abbey highly enough as a wedding venue. Thanks to all the Abbey staff for making it a very special day for us!

We had a wonderful experience with the Abbey Hotel, from our very first meeting until our wedding day was over we were looked after and accommodated in every way possible. Our wedding Coordinator Lisa was amazing and the food and service was outstanding. We never had to worry about a thing, the ballroom was decorated beautifully for both our service and reception party and the food for the reception was gorgeous. We had our wedding in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon on the 8th April 22. It was the best day. Lisa and the staff made us and our guests feels so welcome.
There was nothing too big or small that Lisa wouldn't do. She made the reception room look like a fairytale. It was amazing, our guests are still talking about it now!
The food was so good, all our guests commented on how nice it was and how full they were!
Most of our guests stayed in the hotel the night of our wedding and they all said that the rooms nice and spacious, the beds were so comfy.
We stayed in the bridal suite it was amazing. The room is so big. We loved the added extras we had champagne, chocolates and fruit in the room. We also had slippers and bath robes. We felt like a king and queen!
I would definitely recommend the Abbey hotel to anyone for their wedding. It was definitely the best decision we made.

We got married in the abbey and we could not recommend it anymore. It was fabulous. From the first time we booked it they were always very helpful.the meal as always was spot on and not one person had anything bad to say. It is such a fabulous hotel and right in our home town, it made no since to go anywhere else.

We had our wedding in the Abbey Hotel in July and I couldn't recommend them enough. Lisa was absolutely amazing in all the help in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself- we knew we didnt have to worry about a single thing because we knew we were in great hands from start to finish. Anything we asked for - there was a way to do it! The staff were amazing- we brought some of our own decor and couldn't get the right sort of ivy to finish it off so one of the ladies who was working there offered to take some in from her home on the day of the wedding to put the finishing touches on. That sort of personalized service is invaluable especially when it comes to your Wedding Day. Thank you so much for everything! If you are considering the Abbey for your wedding - stop considering and just book it - you wont regret it!

Planning a wedding from Canada when you want to get married at home in Ireland is not an easy task. Or so I thought before I started doing it! But I was wrong? and this is only because of the amazing wedding co-ordinators and staff at The Abbey Hotel Roscommon . From the minute we stepped foot inside The Abbey, we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding.
After our initial meeting, everything was through email as we had to go back to Canada. Julie and Sarah always stayed in contact with us and made us feel at ease. We organised EVERYTHING while having the Atlantic Ocean between us ? decor, menus, function rooms, times! We even organised the booking of rooms for all of our Canadians guests that were travelling over to be with us on our big day! Not for one moment did I feel worried about this as the girls and booking team were second to none! The Abbey allowed us to do our menu and wine tasting just one week before the wedding! Special treatments like this meant the world to us as we were not able to make it over to Ireland any earlier.
On our big day things worked like clock work. Sarah and the team were with us every step of the way and made everything run smoothly. If you have ever dined in The Abbey, you know the food is excellent. It lived up to its reputation on our wedding day also! The charm and the beauty of The Abbey created such a gorgeous backdrop for our pictures (and for the out-of-towners that wanted to bring some beautiful Irish pictures back to Canada!).
After our reception, we were left in the capable, friendly and fun hands of the three young bar staff that served us into the early hours of the morning. They ensured the two brides and all of our guests were well looked after!
On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to thank everyone in The Abbey Hotel for ensuring our wedding day was the most memorable day in our lives so far. We cannot wait to book in for our anniversary so we can enjoy it again and again!

From the moment we booked our wedding with the Abbey Hotel we didn't have any concerns as everything from then on was arranged so seamlessly and efficiently. Lisa our Wedding Co-ordinator was absolutely professional at all times. All of our requests and requirements were met without hesitation and most importantly with enthusiasm. The quality of the food,the surroundings and the service were exceptional on the day. We couldn't fault the hotel in any way and would highly recommend it to future couples considering it as a wedding reception destination.

The Abbey Hotel are outstanding! The level of care, attention to detail and help was out of this world. Lisa made planning our day hassle free, no request was too big or too small. She met with us frequently and was always quick to respond to an email. The day itself passed like a dream. Lisa and her amazing team set up our tables with boxes we had delivered the previous day, each table was set up exactly as we had discussed with her. The sneak preview of the room before our guests and a little snack was actually one of the most memorable parts of our day. Anyone who is considering booking the Abbey is making a great choice, thanks again! Can't believe it has almost been a year!

Where shall I start... The Abbey Hotel is amazing, our wedding was magical. I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights prior to the wedding and I was so well looked after, the staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The morning of our wedding was what I can only describe as perfect, so relaxed and once again there was lots of fun and laughter with staff and the Grealy family. We had a lot of guests arriving from Dublin, Meath and the USA and they were all made feel so welcome, each guest received top quality service. Our wedding reception was what every girl dreams of, the food was exquisite and the layout was 5 Star. The hotel grounds are stunning, such a treat for photographers! From start to finish it was professional and the wedding coordinator Lisa was brilliant, we can't thank her enough. It was without doubt the best day we have ever had and it's all down to the hotel staff and the Grealy family, fantastic people. We will be forever grateful. Magical memories from The Abbey Hotel.

I spent 3 days at the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon at my brother in laws wedding and I have to say that the hotel was fantastic.
The staff are great, the service top class and it really is a perfect spot for a wedding. We had the drinks reception on the lawn and there are stunning photo opportunities in the old Abbey at the back of the hotel.
The recently refurbished ballroom was stunning and allowed plenty of natural light.
They left my 8 year old daughter in tears, as she didn't want to leave!

We had our wedding at the Anbey Hotel on the 9th of December 2016, I found the whole experience so enjoyable as the staff were always available to help with a query running up to the wedding and on the day were just outstanding, from the wedding coordinator Lisa to the Grealy's themselves and all the staff who provided fantastic service, I can't recommend them high enough. Everyone who attended the wedding were delighted with the food and service so all in all, it was the most perfect day.

Everything was perfect in every way. The Abbey Hotel in Roscommon couldn't have done enough for us. The food was excellent. People are still talking about the outstanding meal 3 weeks later. The service was as good as the meal. The staff are lovely. I can without hesitation recommend this venue.

A home from home for our wedding.
The groom, groomsmen and family checked in the day before and relaxed in the beautiful hotel grounds and rooms for a perfect start to the weekend with great food, warm welcome and atmosphere.
The team in the Abbey accomodated our requests and their attention to detail was fantastic. Games in the garden, drinks reception for our arriving guests and a friendly smile for everyone. The dedicated team at the Abbey were on hand to meet, greet and look after eveyone. They worked together to seemlessly transition people from welcome reception, to the dinner in the newly decorated ballroom. The food was delicious, with friends and family commenting on both the quality and quantity (important for an Irish wedding!).The ballroom was bopping til the very early hours with great music and dancing.
We were lucky to have a second night in the Abbey. We had planned a BBQ but the Abbey Management had a fall back plan in place in case the weather didnt hold. The weather was sunny, so at 6.00pm we arrived down to a full BBQ and dinner on the restaurant lawn. A beautiful evening in the grounds of the Abbey , and guests could also stroll through the old Abbey ruins at the rear of the hotel.
The dedication, care and pride of the staff and family of the Abbey was evident in they way they worked together to deliver exceptional service.

The Abbey Hotel always had a reputation for having wonderful food and it is a guarantee when dining there. It was the one of the main reasons we picked the Abbey Hotel! Our guests were praising the food, service and how nothing was too much trouble! Also the professionalism and how courteous the staff were! The Abbey Hotel is beautiful inside as well as outside and the grounds are so lovely for a wedding and photographs! Delighted we chose the Abbey Hotel! Highly recommend it! It was one part we didn't have to worry about!

We can't recommend The Abbey enough. The service we received was amazing can not fault a thing. The staff are all fantastic no request was ever to much. My family all stayed on for extra nights stay after the wedding because such an amazing time was had. The food is beautiful in both the bar and restaurant menus cater for everyone. Our wedding meal was also fantastic and everyone still talks about it.
I hear of some brides stressing before the big day about organisation etc, well I for one was as relaxed never stressed not once from the day I booked The Abbey Package everything down to the finer details were all looked after by Aishling and Elaine it was down to these amazing ladies that I could enjoy every second of the build up and the day/weekend of the wedding with not a worry. Everything went perfectly.

Aishling is very professional and very helpful. Nothing was a problem to her. The hotel was under renovations shortly before our wedding and she assured us everything would be fine and look fabulous on the day and she was right. We wouldn't change a thing. The management and staff at The Abbey were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. Aisling the wedding co ordinator is so friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly on the day. The food was amazing and piping hot. The ballroom has been renovated since our wedding and is stunning. I highly recommend The Abbey as a wedding venue.

?We had our wedding in the Abbey Hotel Roscommon on the 22nd of August 2015. We had such fantastic day from beginning to end and we are so delighted that we chose the venue. It had been a stressful week leading up to the big day that was ahead of us. The entire experience ran smoothly from beginning to end. Our main contact was the Abbey Hotel Wedding Co-ordinator Aisling Conn who was a delight to work with. She explained everything so clearly, and answered all our queries so efficiently. I would highly recommend anybody who is thinking of a venue for their wedding to get in touch with Aisling. The meal was just beautiful and the attention to detail blew us away. Everything was designed to perfection. There was nothing left to chance on anything that day, Adrian Grealy the Manager on Duty on the day made sure of that. We have even been invited back next year for a nights stay and dinner for our anniversary. It is a credit to have such a beautiful venue close by with standards as high as they were. I hope they get all the credits and awards going for this level of customer service. If I were to give the Abbey Hotel Roscommon marks out of ten, I would give them eleven. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience.

We knew the Abbey Hotel was the right choice from the first time we saw the beautiful pictures on your website to talking to Adrian on the phone & how friendly & welcoming he was. It was raining when we arrived on the day & I was impressed that Adrian was there to welcome us with a huge umbrella in hand to make sure I didn't get my dress or hair wet...very sweet! The welcome reception was perfect!
The reception room looked beautiful...even better than we had imagined! The food was delicious & we loved the personalized plates on the top table-what a nice touch! Everyone was commenting on how great the food was & how fantastic the service was. Thank you for accommodating some of the special requests on food-it was definitely appreciated!! Family run hotel, all the family and staff were exceptional from the day we booked. Very flexible, made the day about 'us'. We were allowed to put our own decorations & mementos around the entire hotel & function room Food was delicious, service & presentation was very professional with such attention to detail on everything. Very quick to clear the room after dinner so the band could set up.

The Abbey Hotel were absolutely brilliant. I have rated all of the above criteria at 5 stars and that is a very sincerely considered opinion.
We had a humanist wedding and the Abbey hotel were so flexible and amenable to our requests. They kindly facilitated our out of the ordinary request to hold the wedding ceremony (200+ guests) in their restaurant, this despite being a first for the hotel, loosing lunch covers and adding a lot of extra work to prepare.
I can't but recommend the responsiveness of the wedding coordinator and the professionalism of all the staff both on the day and at all other times. The food was excellent, the value proposition was excellent and was customised to meet our needs.

The entire experience in the Abbey Hotel was to the highest standard. The Management & Staff were always on hand and eager to help from the early planning stages right up the big day. The venue itself had a very warm and welcoming feel and we got several compliments from our guests on our choice of venue. Any of our guests staying over were made to feel welcome and enjoyed a comfortable stay.
The layout of the function room was arranged perfectly to accommodate our guests and the optimum use was made of the floor space to make everyone feel part of the celebrations.
We would most definitely recommend the Abbey Hotel as a superb wedding venue.

The Abbey Hotel is a fabulous hotel. It is renowned for it's amazing grounds, fabulous food and friendly, helpful staff. The grounds are fabulous for photographs, from the beautiful gardens with mature trees to the old Abbey Ruins - there is something to suit every taste. You do not have to worry or think about the food once you have chosen your menu, as the food here is always amazing, whether you're at a wedding or eating in the restaurant or bar. The staff are friendly and when it comes to your wedding, there is nothing they will not help you with. We dealt with Adrian and Elaine, and they went above and beyond what we asked for. We were delighted with everything on our day from the bubbles and nibbles on arrival, to the beautiful decor in the room, the food and the accommodation, to breakfast the next morning. For anyone wondering about this hotel or looking for a fabulous venue with great food - I would 100 percent recommend the Abbey Hotel.

Elaine & the abbey team were amazing from start to finished.. We had a Christmas wedding sitting over 300 and it was a breeze to them.. Staff were friendly and very helpful..

It's almost 10 years since we got married here August 2006 , an amazing venue , service , food quality and staff were top notch.
The atmosphere is always amazing here day into night.

"A perfect location for a Dream Midlands Wedding" We chose the Abbey Hotel for our wedding because of it's excellent reputation, and also because we had a lot of family connections in Longford and Roscommon. The pristine gardens and views of the old Abbey ruins on the nearby grounds were an appealing factor and made for some amazing photos. We had been to many weddings at the venue before and each one had the same thing in common, continuity and complete professionalism from start to finish with a very hands on approach by the Grealy family. It was obvious from our first meeting with Tom & Adrian Grealy that we were in very capable hands. As my fianc? and I both worked in Galway during the week we had to have regular communication by phone and email. This was a never a problem and any small teething problems or concerns were quickly addressed and dealt with immediately. Tom, the manager worked hard with us in the early stages to find the perfect balance and true to his words we came in well within our budget. Our final menu and wine choices went down well with our guests who were completely blown away by the high standard of presentation at the wedding meal and the impeccable service and attention to detail. It surpassed all our expectations and we highly recommend the Abbey Hotel to any couples who are looking for the perfect setting for their wedding.

From day one of meeting Adrian & Tom Grealy Jnr they assured us that we would have nothing to worry about on the day - true to their word, timing was meticulous and as a result we truly got the most out of our day. The food we got to choose was decided upon following a food tasting day and it was beyond expectation on the day. Efficient servers ensured hot dinners served to all tables together. We had a very mixed age group of guests and all enjoyed the meal immensely and some were delighted to get to sample both main course choices when there were 2nd helpings!
As a lot of our guests travelled to Roscommon for the wedding, they made it a two night stay and all of them were high in their praise of the staff they met at reception, the bar, breakfast saying they were all so friendly and polite. From our first meeting to pick our dates to checking out 2 days after the wedding, we were extremely happy with The Abbey Hotel management and staff. It was our absolute pleasure to bring so many of our friends and family to Roscommon and host them in such a warm, friendly hotel.

"Best wedding weekend at the Abbey"
We had our wedding in the Abbey in March of this year. It's taken until now to speak to family and friends and get a general idea of what everyone else thought of their experience at our wedding and at the Abbey.
As a wedding couple who had the best day of our lives, we felt that the overall service on the day was very good. As we arrived later than everyone else it was nice to hear that people were happy to have canapes, sandwiches, teas & coffees and drinks awaiting them as they arrived, especially as it was a rainy day. I have received numerous thank you cards & texts since about the quality of the meal - which was top class. The catering staff & Jacinta the manager on duty were not only attentive for the wedding meal but for the entire 2 days we stayed at the hotel.
The bridal suite was the high point for us - such stunning rooms. It was also lovely to have breakfast in bed the morning after the wedding. Given that up to 50 of our guests stayed for the second night of the wedding weekend, the hotel was very accommodating and the bar and catering staff again catered our every need.We would definitely be confident in recommending the Abbey as a wedding venue for any future couples who are considering their options here.

?Fabulous family run hotel with Michellin recommended restaurant?
We had a fantastic weekend in The Abbey... We got a great deal which included 2 nights B&B plus evening meal and massage for ?420 total for 2. The staff of this family run hotel were very welcoming and from the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left we could not fault the hotel... We were upgraded to a suite and the room was a very generous size. The room was decorated in keeping with the style of the hotel which was really lovely. The bed was exceptionally comfortable & the shower was lovely and strong.
The restaurant is Michellin recommended and the meal was superb... I had the duck pate to start and my partner had the scallops & Clonakility black pudding... For main I had the pork belly with apple sauce & scallops-it was absolutely perfect. My partner had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly pink :)
The location is only a 10 min walk from Roscommon town where we found a nice restaurant on our second night and two lovely bars... one with an open fire :) We came back to the hotel late last night (about 2.30am!) and had to phone the night porter as the door was locked... This was actually quite quaint... The night porter greeted us with exceptional cheer even at that hour of the morning... I just could not fault the friendliness of the staff

?A Dream Wedding Setting at the Abbey in Roscommon?
Well here it goes folks, I am going to cut and paste what I have already sent to the Abbey after our wedding there on the 26th of May. Firstly let me just say if you are coming to Roscommon town and you don't stay at the Abbey Hotel, well you are wasting your time. "To say that the afternoon, evening, night and following days was exceptional would be an understatement. I am sure with the obvious professionalism that the hotel and it's entire staff performed on the day, you hear this all the time, but we have been talking about it since. We have also got only the best comments from people on how wonderful the whole event was! I'm not sure if people are just trying to say nice things but several of the comments so far, have been ?. "that was the best wedding I have ever been at". The band, the meal, the accommodation, the service, pre-organisation of our wedding with the Abbey was quite simply flawless and outstanding. In particular we would like to thank the Hotel for their support when we had the "problem" with the church, to us and to Angela especially it made a world of difference. From those who stayed with you again we have had only glowing reports about both the accommodation and the staff. One women had to move rooms for the Sunday night (as she had booked very late) was extremely impressed at how helpful and professional the staff were, please let them know. If there were any regrets it was from a few people who did NOT book to stay with you and regretted their decision afterwards. ?It is hotels like the Abbey, people like your good self and the staff of the Abbey that make us proud to say that there are good deals to be had in Ireland and more importantly good service, times and memories to be had?. I have no doubt the 150 people that were there on the night are, and will continue to say this to an ever increasing circle of friends and family. It will more than ever reinforce our conviction that we made the very best decision we could ever have made in booking The Abbey Hotel Roscommon for our wedding. May you and the Abbey go from strength to strength.So that's it, it's a really great location, wedding venue, great staff, and worth making a detour to stay at if you are on the way to Galway

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Abbey Hotel Roscommon on 31st October 2025 - Halloween night but there was nothing spooky or scary about our amazing experience in The Abbey Hotel.
It's hard to put our thanks into a couple of words but here we go - We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more amazing day. From start to finish, everything was absolutely flawless.
Our 144 guest are still raving about the food — it was not only delicious but the portions and seconds were incredibly generous.
The service throughout the entire day was first class - quick, professional, and so friendly. It made everything feel effortless for us and our guests.
A very special mention has to go to Lisa our incredible wedding coordinator.
From the first day we met Lisa, she was so organised, calm, friendly, and helpful both in the lead-up to the big day and on the day itself. All the emails responded to quickly and nothing was too much.
The ballroom looked stunning!
What we loved most was how relaxed the entire day felt. There wasn’t a single moment of stress and this allowed us to soak it all in.
To the entire team at the Abbey Hotel, we had the most magical day and it was everything we dreamt of and more.
The Abbey Hotel, will forever hold a special place in our heart.
