Ashdown Park Hotel

From the start of the planning the Ashdown we’re great. No matter how many changes I made they accommodated every request , never felt I was asking too much or too often. The day itself was amazing. The room looked fab and was presented so well. Eimear was amazing in keeping me calm before I walked down the aisle. The food was fantastic. Served quickly and efficient and tasted amazing. The only one tiny critique I have for the day was the bread rolls weren’t fresh and were awfully hard but it didn’t take from the rest of the meal. Even certain guests who had weird dietary wishes were accommodated for my the staff. I wish to thank all the staff of the Ashdown for a fantastic day.

When looking for a wedding venue we had been given a very positive review from a relative which had prompted us to look at the Ashdown Park Hotel as a likely option. From the minute we engaged with the hotel wedding team they were most helpful, as well as the general staff around the hotel. We stayed to eat lunch after and got a very nice feeling from the hotel. We left in the comfort that if we selected the venue we would be in good hands. Upon signing up the staff were most helpful responding to queries and helping with anything we needed from them along the way. As the day came closer and we had made a few changes to parts of our day and layout to the room, again the staff had things done and/or back to us in no time without hesitation! On the day of the wedding we were panicking slightly over a number of very last minute drop outs, the team took care of everything and took the stress away completely. From the second we set foot inside the door our guests were already signing the hotels praises. As the day progressed everything was managed extremely well. We had numerous people complementing the food (which was exceptionally nice) and how friendly the staff were. Our day ran exceptionally smoothly, the team even created the opportunity for us to take some time away from the guest as newlyweds which was greatly appreciated. We then stepped into the room, which looked immaculate, to start the festivities, again everything ran like clockwork from the food to the band and everything in between. I could not have complemented the Ashdown Park highly enough until subsequently speaking to friends a few weeks after the wedding who had told us about the staff going out of their way to assist people arriving late and providing them with dinners. They also were also remarking on the general friendliness and warmth as both a guest at the hotel to being a guest at the wedding function. The experience of our guests has been extremely positive and has had added massively to their and our enjoyment of the day. I cannot thank everyone at the Ashdown Park Hotel enough for making our day so special! I will sign off with, 4* hotel, 5* staff and service!

All the staff were helpful . The hotel looked great. We got married on the rooftop the weather was fabulous . The guests all commented that it was like been foreign . We got great photos

We had our day on the 23/06/19 in the Ashdown Park and it was the most amazing day. Catherine the wedding coordinator was an absolute dream to work with and no request was too big! We custom booked our rooms and reception helped us every step of the way with no hassle. Our day from. Start to finish ran so smoothly with no mishaps (thankfully!) The food on our day will be forever spoken about, our guests are still ranting about the our reception bites aswell as the meal, the meal from start to finish was delectable. We will highly recommend The Ashdown Park to everyone, thanks for an amazing day!

Had our wedding in the ashdown park hotel in June! It was amazing from start to finish ! Catherine and all the staff couldn't have been any more helpful ! The food was outstanding and everybody loved it ! We were made feel so welcome from the minute we arrived! Would 100percent recommend this venue for any couple getting married you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic service, couldn’t fault anyone or anything, food was beautiful, my guests were really impressed, Catherine and emer were fantastic, only hiccup was the sound system overlapping with another wedding upstairs which was sorted out promptly, would definitely recommend you in the future.

Catherine made the whole process so easy, we had a wonderful day, food was absolutely brilliant and nothing was any hassle. I would definitely recommend the Ashdown, for top quality and value!

Catherine and Eimer could not have done more for us, from the run up to the big day itself. We didn't want a top table and it was great to see our vision and dream become a reality. Nothing was too much trouble. Our only problems were some small issues with guests trying to book rooms, but as soon as we brought the problems to Catherine's attention they were sorted. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and people are still talking to us about how amazing the food was. My tip if you are considering having your wedding in the Ashdown Park Hotel would be go for a lovely meal in the Rowan Tree restaurant soak up the atmosphere and visualise your guests having this wonderful food. Then make an appointment with Catherine to start your journey to your best day.

I cannot recommend the Ashdown Park Hotel highly enough. They went above and beyond and the food was absolutely delicious, all of our guests commented on it.

The ashdown park hotel was an amazing venue to have our wedding everything was top class especially the food nothing could be faulted huge thankyou to our wedding planners Susan and Stephen we wouldn't of got through it without them they were just the best if anybody is thinking of having there venue in the southeast well this is the hotel for you xx

Amazing Hotel with amazing service, we would highly recommend the Ashdown to any couple looking to plan their wedding there. Eimear and all the staff went over and beyond to help us for our wedding day and it turned out amazing from start to finish. The Food was outstanding thanks to Val and his team and everyone could not stop talking about the Pork Belly. We had a lot of people staying over for the weekend and all our guests could not get over how friendly and helpful all the staff were for their stay. You will not be disappointed with the Ashdown . From start to finish Susan was amazing ,All the staff in Ashdown Park truly are caring and very understanding. Outstanding quality for a hotel to have all staff to be that way.

The hotel were amazing. They embraced any ideas I had and the whole flow of the wedding was amazing. They were such support to myself in the run up. The food was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better day

Can’t believe it’s been nearly a year! From the initial meeting to the actual day, dealing with all the staff in the Ashdown was a pleasure. The whole process was seamless and totally stress free. Susan was brilliant and was always at the end of the phone or email to help me. Her advice on various things was a great help. After we had the venue booked, we attended a wedding fair in the hotel and got some great deals on the extra’s (cake, DJ and photo booth). On the day itself, Stephen was brilliant. We had our ceremony in the hotel and he was on hand to calm some nerves. He really is a gentleman. Everybody who was at the wedding raved about the food, both the reception canapés and the main meal were delicious. Particularly the beef seemed to be popular, that it melted in your mouth. Being honest there is nothing I would change about the day, it really was the most magical and amazing day of my life :)

There is nothing I can fault about the Ashdown Hotel. Nothing was too much to ask for. The wedding coordinators were so helpful, even after my wedding was over when I was asking for dry cleaner recommendations for my dress etc. My emails with a million questions were efficiently replied to within a matter of hours. All of the waiters/waitresses on the day were extremely professional and friendly. The food was fantastic, the best I have ever had at any wedding venue and my guests said the same. I am so glad that I held my wedding reception there and cannot recommend it enough.

Your hotel is faultless & we will certainly recommend it. Above all the one thing that stood out from the moment we walked in was the staff. Everybody spoke as you passed or met them which is a fabulous quality. Nothing was too much trouble & the organization of breakfast was very professional. The food was excellent. The play area & pool were great too for our little girl. We wouldn’t be in the habit of writing recommendations but we feel ye all deserve our thanks at the Ashdown. Keep up the good work, we will be back.

The facilities in the hotel are excellent but what really made it an exceptionally wonderful day was the staff.
