Don’t know where to start from booking our wedding date, to the day of our wedding our experience was absolutely amazing. So helpful from paperwork, decor, helping the bridal party and myself the bride before the mass, completely professional and so pleasant. Our guests commented on how magical the abbey was on our wedding day. If only we could do it all over again and the wedding photos in and outside the abbey was the icing on the cake. Would recommend to any bride and groom.

We had our wedding ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey and we could not recommend this venue enough as it was just exceptional. From booking the venue at the start with Teresa and getting help from Muriel on the day, we couldn't fault the service received and would highly recommend this venue as a wedding ceremony venue.

Ballintubber Abbey was recommended to us by the groom’s brother and when we went visiting, we fell in love with the Abbey!! The beauty of the place speaks for itself!! And on the top of it, the team has been very kind and dedicated to answer any of our questions about the place and possibilities. Always available at any time of the day, they are very responsive and very very helpful.

We got married in Ballintubber Abbey last summer, and we couldn't rate it highly enough. Firstly, the abbey and the grounds are just beautiful. It's steeped in history and is the most magical place for a wedding ceremony. Being from Mayo, I always wanted to get married in Ballintubber and was thrilled when the date was free! Teresa and Muriel made the entire planning process hassle free. Muriel was with us for the rehearsal and on the day itself and couldn't do enough for us. She was there through it all, even fixing my dress and veil before I walked up the aisle!! Our guests still rave about the beautiful abbey we got married in, and we will look back fondly at our pictures for many years to come. If you can, have your ceremony in Ballintubber - it truly is the most special place!

From our first impression the picturesque Abbey and fabulous surroundings spoke for themselves. What we didn't know about the abbey was how fantastic the staff were. From our initial contact with the abbey, their staff in particular Teresa went above and beyond for us. No request was too big or too small once we were happy they were happy. The Abbey and surrounds are spectacular for pictures and videography. The acoustics of the Abbey are unrivalled, or ceremony music sounded amazing. If you want the fairytale wedding setting look no further.

Kieran and I got married in Ballintubber Abbey on June 29th 2024. From our first enquiry Teresa was so quick at responding and providing support. On the day all the staff were incredibly professional, helpful and ensured everything ran so smoothly. The church and grounds are kept pristine, it truely is a spectacular location. I got married in jun 2024 in Ballintubber Abbey. The church is absolutely stunning but aside from that It was seamless to book over the phone. I ended up moving my service forward and they accommodated it no problem and we're always ready to help or provide advice. Would highly recommend

Where do I begin. Ballintubber Abbey is such a magical church. The rich Catholic history preserved within its walls, the beautiful grounds, and the amazing people are exactly what we had in mind for our celebration of holy matrimony. From start to finish communication was excellent in preparing for our wedding. We had a small group of family and friends traveling from the United States to celebrate with us. They were all amazed. The verdict simply put, we couldn’t have picked a better church in Ireland! Father Michael did an amazing Mass for us and was accommodating to our needs coming from out of state. Such lovely memories we cherish from our wedding day. We cannot wait to come back and visit.

It was honestly one of the best days of our lives. We cant thank Teresa, Fr. Farragher and the staff at Ballintubber Abbey enough. We cannot recommend the team at Ballintubber enough, we had the most magical day and we were looked after in the lead up, on the day and even afterwards. The church was stunning and they accommodated our suppliers so well and any additional needs we had for our guests. Just everything went so smoothly - our guests were in awe of the place when they walked in and are still talking about it a whole year later. If you are considering Ballintubber just do it , it really was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. Lots of love Marie & John

Ballintubber Abbey gave us the wedding of our dreams! The most incredibly kind staff who went above and beyond to help us with every step. We’re especially grateful for the help of Teresa, who coordinated with us from abroad. She was integral in getting all of our American paperwork sorted before our ceremony. Father Fahey was a wonderful Priest and gave us the perfect ceremony. Could not recommend enough!

We feel so fortunate to have had our wedding ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey - the Abbey is beautiful and historic and such a special place. Organising the wedding while based in Australia was a little bit daunting but the entire team at Ballintubber made the process so seamless and enjoyable. We felt so supported the whole way through and we can’t thank you enough. From talking us through the formal requirements, providing templates for our wedding booklets and helping us find other wedding suppliers, the team at the Abbey were always there for us and so generous with their time.
The Abbey itself is beautifully presented and the grounds made the most incredible backdrop for our wedding photos. We were so grateful to the team at the Abbey for walking us through the site and the grounds in the lead up to the day and their tips for the best spots for photos. Our experience was so positive from the first email to wrapping up on the day. We couldn’t recommend the Abbey more highly for a wedding ceremony.

To all of the staff who work at the Abbey, I just wanted to finally say a HUGE thank you for all of your continued support with the lead up to and on our wedding day!
After having to cancel it twice due to covid, we finally got married on Thursday 11th August last year. We cannot thank you all enough for helping us with the paper work and keeping us on track every step of the way. Your help was much appreciated on the day as well as it all began to feel somewhat overwhelming by the time the day actually arrived.
The Abbey will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will continue to visit year after year to remind ourselves of the magical day we all had. Plus, the weather! It was a stunner!
