From start to finish everyone at Cabra Castle were a delight to deal with. On our wedding day everything ran like clock work. I was so nervous and anxious about how everything was going to work on the day. I really shouldn’t have been we were guided myslef and my husband through everything on the day. The floor staff and manager who was looking after our wedding sorry I don’t remember names were absolutely amazing ! We can’t thank you enough for making our day so special! From the moment you arrive in the venue you have the photographer and videographer guiding you through photos with your bridal party and family so you don’t get a second. Staff were always floating asking us if we wanted a drink or somthing to eat honestly that meant the world! The back office team and on the floor team worked so well together I just have utter praise .
You could tell the team at cabra castle were wedding specialist just how everything was dealt with so professional I can’t thank you enough.

My daughter got married in the granary at Cabra Castle the ceremony was so beautiful and venue was absolutely amazing and such a brilliant day the food was fantastic and all the staff were excellent ,it's the perfect venue gir a wedding and myself and my family would highly recommend it

Where to even begin! Our wedding at the Cabra Castle could not have been any more perfect. Every part of the wedding from our welcome party in the Granary the evening before to the farewell breakfast the morning after the wedding, everything was executed perfectly. The staff went above and beyond and all of our guests were blown away with how magical our day was. Not to mention how beautiful and lovely the venue is! Planning our wedding abroad from The States was nerve racking at the beginning, but Cabra Castle gave us and our guests a wedding celebration we won’t forget. It was more perfect than we could have hoped for! The Cabra castle is an absolute MUST for the perfect wedding venue in Ireland!

I can't thank Cabra Castle enough for the incredible detail and care they put into making our wedding day truly magical. From the very beginning, Emma was an absolute gem, guiding us through every step of the planning process with warmth and professionalism. Since booking Cabra castle for our wedding, they have been so easy to work with. We were planning the wedding from Australia and they had been so prompt in their replies despite the time difference. Nothing was trouble for them. The staff were so helpful & professional on the day. Our guests commented on how well they were looked after on the day & also how stunning the whole venue was. From our very first visit, right up to the big day Cabra castle was amazing, noting was to much trouble. Emma and Bronagh in the office were amazing to deal with and answered any questions we had. On the day its self everything ran smoothly. Mary in the granary kept us calm as the nerves kicked in before the ceremony. Linda our manger on the day was on hand at all times and made us so relaxed. The food was absolutely amazing, from start to finish. Our guests enjoyed Cheese Boards and canapés on arrival, to an amazing 5 course dinner. The steak was out of this world. The evening chicken and chip cones were a big hit, right down to the toasties in the residents bar. We cannot fault Cabra Castle what so ever. 5 star service from start to finish. We can never thank them enough

We both cannot recommend Cabra Castle enough, it was one of the first venues we viewed once we got engaged and we both fell in love with instantly. The staff are all amazing and went above and beyond our expectations in the run up to the wedding day. They responded to my many questions through emails and calls in the weeks leading to the wedding- we both felt so at ease in dealing with the staff, in particular Brenda, Ellen, Aisling and Emma who answered many of our emails /calls.
The wedding day itself was a dream, the food ,the service and the staff. All our guests were full of compliments for the food and the general ambiance and service that we had through out the day.
We also had our wedding breakfast and day 2 celebrations in the granary- a new addition to the Castle which is beautiful both inside and outside.
We are looking forward to visiting in a few months again.

We really enjoyed our day. Rose was a pleasure to deal with and a lovely woman, only issue, i felt was that the planners/ co ordinators were swapped between themselves and we werent any single persons priority the day of the wedding . Our original coordinater got a new job so perhaps thats why.
Servers for guests terrific, food good. Bride and groom were well catered to early in the day drinks, wants and needs( a lovely girl at our side for first part the day) but as night progressed less so, maybe that was to do with us having small children and sometimes having to tend to them.
Staff almost were exasperated when we forgot to do gift exchange for MOB and MOG at speeches and wanted to do it after, they like to have everything planned to a tee and do not like to deviate in the slightest i get it.
Still all and all great day . Cabra were always very quick to respond with any queries and i think they excel especially in the lead up to the day helping organise. Nothing was an issue booking rooms, table plans etc all a great help

What a venue! We had the best, most magical day of our lives in a fairytale castle. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff. Every single person was amazing. The wedding co-ordinators are top class and took all the stress of wedding planning away from me. The food is incredible and all our guests were more than impressed. The Granary is the most stunning ceremony venue and literally took our breath away. This hotel is world class.

Cabra castle was a fantastic venue from the moment we viewed the place we fell in love and no matter what other venues we looked at we kept comparing others to it. The staff were extremely helpful in every way, any time I called or emailed they responded as soon as they could. The food at the tasting and on the day was fantastic, so much so we still have guests coming to us saying how much they thought it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We liked how there were plenty of options to choose from when picking your food and also with the packages so you can make it to your own needs.
I stayed the night before and it was so good as it took so much stress off me for traveling and also making sure I had enough room with makeup and hair the next day. We had our ceremony in the new granary building and honestly when it was all done up it was so beautiful it was better than I imagined. The room is so bright and allows for some amazing photos too and you have full use of it even after the ceremony when your guests are having the reception which is nice as you aren't too far from them. We can’t recommend cabra castle and the staff enough. Cabra castle was the first and only venue we looked at, we loved it. The staff are all so friendly. The banqueting team are fantastic they couldn’t have been more helpful. Shortly before the wedding i spoke with Emma from banqueting. She had the patience of a saint and she went through everything for day 1 and 2 and she even recommended a DJ when I mentioned I hadn’t found one for day 2. I left Emma feeling completely at ease and with a DJ sorted. Everything with cabra castle was smooth sailing from the time we booked. Everything was perfect and we had the most amazing day. Venue,staff and food all 100%

Can't say enough great things about Cabra Castle, the whole place is incredible. Fantastic castle venue with the addition of the Granary made the whole day. The staff are just amazing they did everything and beyond, made the day go some much easier. The food is also amazing, nearly everyone commented on how good the food was. Just so easy to deal with leading up the wedding aswell, again the staff are just brillant.

Cabra Castle is truly an amazing venue for a wedding and couldn't have been happier. All the staff particularly the banqueting team (Brenda, Emma and Aisling) were incredible and so helpful. The food on the evening was top class and so many of our guests said they hadn't experienced a nicer meal at a wedding elsewhere. All in all the staff were so welcoming and accommodating.

The staff were so accommodating for every little aspect. Even little things on the day. For example we had a props table but wanted it moved to another area as it was being overlooked, this was no issue at all and was done so quickly nobody realised. Cabra from day 1 of going to view the venue were the most helpful, friendly, professional individuals that I have ever met, every single one of the staff. Cabra castle were amazing in helping us create our dream wedding. Everything down to the finest details were looked after and they helped us every step of the way. We live abroad which adds to the stress of wedding planning, but Cabra staff were so mindful and helpful. A lot of the time we had to send our parents to check things for us and they looked after our families so well! Their communication was fantastic.
The grounds at Cabra obviously speak for themselves. They are exceptional. The hotel is top class and the rooms were amazing. We did not have a single complaint from any of our guests regarding rooms.
As for the day, we are so grateful to all at Cabra. The service staff (bar and floor) in the main bar, at our reception and at the BBQ in the Granary the next day were all superb. They were friendly and no request was too much for them. All our guests were so well looked after. They were a good laugh as well which always helps. I'm sorry I did not keep a list of names as they all deserve a shoutout. Thank you to each one. The food is incredible. In the main bar, at the wedding and the breakfast and BBQ in our day 2 events were just fantastic. Our guests are still raving that its the best food they ever had in a hotel, especially at a wedding when everything is cooked in mass. It was one of the standouts for us.

I couldn't recommend Cabra enough. All of our guests have commented on how gorgeous the venue was and how nice the food was. From day 1 the team at Cabra were soooo friendly and helpful. There were so many lovely touches that the staff added and helped us with over the course of the weekend. We had our day 2 there as well and the set up for that was also amazing!

We had the most amazing day for our wedding at Cabra Castle. The food venue rooms were all just perfect! The staff were so helpful and they even had food for people with allergy's. We had our dream day in Cabra castle and Emma and the team were so fantastic, I can't praise them enough. In the run up to the day they were so helpful and communicating to our inquiries promptly. There wasn't anything we asked for that they didn't accommodate or support us with and were really flexible with modifying our wedding package to suit our guests. Cabra castle venue is just something out of a fairytale and our wedding ceremony outdoors on the veranda was beyond our dreams. I would recommend Cabra castle to any wedding couple without a hesitation!

We had the most perfect day celebrating our wedding, from start to finish, the team at Cabra were there to help in any way, everything went perfectly for us, and our guests had very high praise for the level of service and outstanding food. We had our fairytale wedding at the beautiful Cabra Castle. It was the most perfect day from start to finish. The Cabra Castle team were so accommodating & nothing was too much to ask. Our guests keep praising how lovely the food was & the quality of service. We would highly recommend Cabra Castle as a wedding venue!

Cabra Castle is the most amazing wedding venue. From the stunning scenery to the amazing staff, it really is an dream location for your wedding day. The staff were honestly amazing to deal with from start to finish - we had nothing to worry about on the day. I cannot thank them enough for helping us have the most amazing wedding celebration. Cabra Castle was the first wedding venue we looked at. We booked on the spot as the venue is absolutely stunning and the staff could not be nicer. We primarily worked with Emma in the lead up and she could not do enough for us. We had to change our original date due to Covid and there was no hassle whatsoever in doing so. Any time we had a query, someone got back to us immediately. On the day itself they made everything move along seamlessly. We barely had to ask for anything and when we did need something then there was always a staff member at the ready. Everyone was fantastic to deal with but I'd especially like to thank Kelly, Carmel, Elaine, Aisling, Mary, Shauna and Linda. Could not recommend this place highly enough.

We are absolutely delighted that we chose the Cabra Castle as our wedding venue. Everything ran so smoothly on the day, and the team were very accommodating with any of our requests. The venue is very picturesque, so you're spoiled for choice for photos. The sales, marketing and banqueting teams (and everyone else) were magnificent. We would happily recommend the venue to any couples getting married. A very pleasant experience, and we'll always have fond memories of the day.

We had our big day in Cabra Castle on 22/09/22, it was a magical day from start to finish. The team at Cabra went above and beyond for us and nothing was too big an ask. Any glitches were dealt with very quickly the over running of the day was very smooth. Both myself and my husband cannot thank the team enough for all they did for us. The food was fantastic also with many many compliments on the day. Our families are still talking about the venue and great a day it was.

Cabra Castle is such a fairytale venue with exceptional staff! The staff went above and beyond not only on the day but the lead up to the wedding they were happy to answer and questions and we're so easy to deal with! From start to finish, I honestly could not fault Cabra Castle. Its an absolutely fabulous venue to start with.
They really do go above and beyond, from the planning process , to the day of, there's no stone left unturned. The menu tasting day was such good day as my husband and I would be quite picky so it was great to try everything so we could make the best decisions for us. From when we arrived the night before our wedding, they arranged dinner arrangements for our guests. Moving our bags from one room to the next over the 3 days, we didn't have to lift a finger. Even calling to check if we wanted breakfast on the last day as we had completely forgotten about it. They looked after everything we asked and also what we didn't even think to ask.
They are like a well oiled machine and everyone commented on how amazing they were. Would recommend them ten times over.

Getting married in Cabra Castle was like being in a Fairy Tale. The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff is extremely professional, friendly, polite and welcoming. Although everyone says that organizing a wedding is stressful, we didn't feel that way because Cabra Castle staff was always there to help us, reminding us of details and making things easier for us.
Our experience there couldn't be better and we enjoyed every single minute since when we decide to get married in this stunning Castle until the minute we left that place after our big day. We highly recommend this Venue!

We absolutely LOVED our wedding day at Cabra Castle. From booking it there 2 years prior to the wedding, right up to the day itself, i couldnt praise the staff there highly enough. They were always prompt getting back to me with even the most basic of questions, the menu tasting was very well done and the food was amazing. We spent 3 days at the castle as we live a bit away and honestly they couldnt have done enough for us. Even though they have a daily wedding there these days we didnt feel like we were on a conveyor belt of weddings. They make you feel so special on the day that you dont even realise there are other people staying there. Would 100% recommmend to get married here if you can get a date!!

We had our wedding at Cabra Castle on the 8th of July 2022 and it was just magical. From start to finish the team were incredible, responsive and attentive to every detail. The day itself was flawless thanks to the Cabra staff who thought of everything and catered to every request. Guests commented on the staff attentiveness and approachability, the quality and comfort of their rooms and the food at the wedding reception which was sensational. So delicious! If I was to do it all again I would book Cabra Castle in a heartbeat. We had the best day and a heartfelt thank you to all who made our day so magical ??

If you are looking for the royal treatment we would definitely recommend Cabra Castle. The service, quality of food and venue is flawless. Every guest complimented the castle by saying it was the best food service and venue they were ever at we had fillet steak in our menus 90 out 120 guests had it and they all said it was best steak lol hence had which says a lot of standard of cooking when the chef can get this right. All the staff are so courteous and polite they could teach many hotels how to treat people.
Wedding team nothing is problem and they are on hand the whole way through for support.

I got an email that they requested a review and this is basically the same as my Google review. You can read my Google review from May and see their response.
Food, venue and rooms excellent. Staff were so lovely. Had a few mix ups which we discovered the next day which were really disappointing. I made sure the day before the wedding that all the rooms I had booked were done correctly. One of my bridesmaids was told on the day that she did not have a room, and ended up sharing. Their bags were not in the room they were given and the room I had booked was put down as a no show. I was told by staff that there was a mix up with names but this is simply not true as I have the bookings list in my emails. They then blamed trainee staff and miscommunication. I was given a few different reasons over a few phone calls.
Another room I had requested after booking in my first set of rooms was not but on our account, but I did not know this and it was not explained to me by the staff what the payment codes were. They paid for their own room and when we were settling our bill I asked the staff to check why that room wasn't on our bill and they said it was paid by the guests. They did not say the room was not on our account and we were giving out to our friend for paying for the room. He later told us it wasn't covered and we insisted on refunding our friend later that day.
We were given a sign belonging to the wedding the next day along with our stuff to take home and then the hotel apologised saying that they gave it in error and needed it ASAP and asked me to meet them halfway as that ceremony had started. I asked them to bring my brother's suit which he left behind and they did. When I wrote the review they replied saying how they obliged me by meeting halfway....that is not the case. They were in a rush and asked me to meet halfway because they needed it quick.
I simply want people to know what to watch out for to avoid these issues but they made it out like I was complaining for no good reason and they went above and beyond...they did not..I got several excuses when I called them about the same issues and instead of accepting how they messed up they made it out like they were helping me. As if I wanted all these problems after getting 3 hrs sleep, finally getting home to realise I had to drive another hour up and back to get them something they gave me by mistake. I only returned it because I wouldn't ruin someone else's wedding day.
That said, I'm sure 90% or their weddings have zero issues. Yours will too if you have very clear communication with them. I suggest emails for everything.
They were also very good in the run up with last minute changes. I did have an issue with one of the managers during the tasting when our table did not get one of the soups but they insisted that we did...like why would we lie about not getting a 30ml serving of soup?! The girl beside me at the table spoke to one of the floor managers about it on the night

From the start of planning to the post wedding, the service and professionalism from Cabra Castle was unbelievable. The staff at Cabra Castle made the planning process straight forward and also fun, believe it or not. They offer advice when asked but also work with you to make your day so special and work with your plans. Wedding planning can be stressful but the girls were always there to take a call to clarify things and give you certainty in times where you may feel stressed. I can't thank the staff enough. Our wedding guests were so complimentary of the venue, the staff,the service and of course the food. We had the best day and that goes down to the staff at Cabra Castle and the service they offered. I would recommend Cabra Castle to anyone and look forward to going back.

Could not recommend a wedding venue more. The staff went above and beyond for us in the run up to and on the wedding day. The food was absolutely amazing. You get a day before the wedding to taste the menu which is absolutely great and you meet other wedding couples. The honeymoon suites alone (2 to choose from) are to die for for. One even has its on balcony with a hot tub. The grounds to the venue are so amazing for photos and the red carpet on arrival just makes you feel so special. Proper Princess vibes!!

We had our wedding in Cabra Castle on 16th April 2022. As soon as we viewed the venue back in March 2020 we knew it was where we wanted to get married! Absolutely stunning venue! The banqueting team were so quick to respond to any queries we had throughout the planning process and were always so helpful. Cabra Castle was a wonderful venue for our Wedding, we had our civil ceremony on the outdoor balcony and we got sunshine in April! The staff are fantastic at hosting weddings as they host them nearly everyday of the week. Food/Wine was superb and two honeymoon suites to pick from and we actually got the pleasure of staying in both. We will be back for our anniversary next year.

But all the staff were so good we didn't feel too nervous about it! The food was unbelievable and Olivia in banqueting and Paul the wedding coordinator on the day were absolutely fantastic. Our guests had an amazing time and everyone said they would go back to stay there for a holiday! We would definitely recommend Cabra!

We had our wedding in Cabra Castle in June 2021. The staff of Cabra Castle were amazing on the run up to the wedding and on the day itself, particularly Olivia, Johnny, Paul and Emma. Everyone commented on the beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. It was very difficult during a pandemic to plan a wedding with numbers permitted/live music etc but Cabra Castle could not have done more for us and their attention to detail was out of this world. We loved everything about our wedding day in Cabra Castle.

We had our wedding planned in cabra for May 2021, in what has been a very stressful time for wedding vendors and couples due to ongoing restrictions etc. Cabra castle were EXTREMELY inflexible and to be honest not very approachable nor helpful, and frankly added to the stress of an already stressful time in our lives. Most of the correspondence that we received on the run up to our wedding was impersonal and genericly addressed ?dear couple etc? which is not what one expects on the run up to their wedding in an apparent ?luxury venue?. When the restrictions came out to 6 ppl only allowed to attend the wedding celebration I had to get in contact with Cabra myself as up til then (4 weeks before the wedding) we had received very little if any correspondence from Cabra, we did not even know what the menu options were going to be. As they had cancelled our menu tasting the previous year due to covid. To our horror cabras policy was either reschedule the entire wedding to a date of their choosing or go ahead with our own date with 6 guests to which they would be keeping our entire deposit of 3.5k to cover. Daylight robbery and obviously unacceptable to my husband and I. We could meet no sensible arrangement with cabra in regards to the 3.5k deposit as they would not even allow us to have it in credit note to spend there so we felt we had no choice but to seek legal advice and instruct a solicitor. I would not recommend this venue to any couples I know, yes the venue itself is beautiful however with service and treatment like this who would want to spend their first day as a married couple in a place like this. The way a company treats there customers in hard times says a lot about a company in general and I nor my family will be darkening in the door of Cabra castle any time soon.

I'm not sure where to start here as we were just so happy with Cabra Castle.
We booked Cabra castle just a few days before our wedding as our original venue was under lock down restrictions. As you could imagine it was a very stressful and upsetting time but Mary at Cabra Castle came to our rescue. She was so reassuring and understanding to us and got everything organised within a matter of days.
Cabra is obviously a stunning venue but to us, it was the staff that made it amazing.
The day itself was faultless from start to finish. We were made feel so special, the only issue was the day went too fast!
The food and service was second to none. The staff were so pleasant, helpful and attentive.
As an example of the calibre of staff....one girl (I can't remember her name) was stood close to me at the top table and saw that I spotted a small stain on my dress, she came over right away and went up to our bedroom to get a stain wipe for me.
Some of our guests told us after the day that they were a little apprehensive about the day itself but the minute they stood foot in the Castle they felt comfortable and could see all the very discrete measures that had been implemented due to Covid.
Cabra was always special to me as I visited there regularly with my family as a child, it is now extra special for us as a couple and we couldn't be happier with how our day went.

We booked Cabra Castle as our venue back in December 2019, we had read brilliant reviews and were impressed when we went to view the Castle.
We had our food tasting in March 2020, we were really looking forward to this as we had heard from other couples getting married in other venues that it was a lovely evening out. However, we were left very disappointed, the food tasting was with other over 200 other couples, the food was displayed on tables, you could take pictures of the food but not eat it. We were given tiny portions, the soup was served in shot glasses and we were not given any wine. I found this extremely disappointing, I brought it to the attention of the banquet team but they told me this was how the food tastings had been done for years and they would not change it. We were still starving afterwards and had to buy dinner in the bar. The pandemic came along just after the food tasting, the hotel did not keep in contact with us at all and when I tried to contact them they would snap at me. Restrictions on weddings were ever changing and when I asked if our deposit would be refunded if our day could not go ahead I was told "Your money is long gone...you can forget about seeing that again". We traveled to Cabra Castle to meet with Therese and discuss our options, (i.e reschedule, cancel, have smaller numbers) she decided to hold the meeting beside the reception desk were guests were checking in and out, I had to ask could we move to a separate room, it was very clear that she did not want to discuss our options with us as she kept changing the subject to speak about her son and leaving the room. Our wedding date was getting closer and we still had no answers, eventually we were told that our only option was to reschedule to 2022 and they had very limited places left. The lack of professionalism was getting worse by the day, we had paid a very big deposit and were extremely disappointed with how we were being treated. Eventually, we decided to cancel our wedding with them as we felt we could not rely on them, we were told that we could not get our deposit back as it had already been spent on brochures, the food tasting and an admin fee for the emails they replied too. I would strongly advise against booking with Cabra Castle.

We recently had are wedding in Cabra Castle on 27th of December 2019. From the start of the process Johnny the banqueting manager helped bring our day to life. He clearly went through how to plan the day with help with menus , table plans , beverages and general running of the day . Along with being a great MC. All guests at the wedding commented about the level of service from the staff and the quality of the food offering. I would highly recommend Cabra castle for any couple who are thinking of tying the knot. Also honeymoon suites are unreal.

Cabra Castle was an amazing wedding venue and we are so happy we chose it for our special day. The castle and grounds are gorgeous (so many picture opportunities!). The staff couldn't do more to help us in the lead up to the day and on the day itself. Service was fantastic and the day ran so smoothly with no delays. We also had a BBQ for a group of 30 people on day 2 of the weekend which was brilliant. We had planned to eat outdoors for this but because of the bad weather it was held inside, however the private terrace restaurant was lovely. Would highly recommend Cabra Castle to anyone looking for wedding venues. Dates book out early in advance and I can completely see why this happens. It has a great reputation and for good reason. Thanks so much again to all the staff.

The staff at Cabra Castle went above and beyond for ourselves and all of our guest. They were so helpful through the planning process and no request was too silly. As I have allergies they made sure that nothing in the castle could set them off. Any requests that our guests made during the day the staff did their best to look after them. They were so attentive to us on the big day. They made sure that we had a few minutes to ourselves at different times. They also had made a small area for the bridal party to have tea and nibbles when we arrived after photos. They checked if we wanted a drink many times which was so brilliant as we didn't have time and wouldn't have thought to ask as we were so busy talking to guests. The service, food and venue were all amazing. The update to the castle has added to the beauty of it. The honeymoon suites were amazing and we really got to enjoy them as we stayed two nights. The staff are so friendly and look after your every need.

Cabra Castle is just fabulous! We had our ceremony & reception outdoors on the terrace overlooking the rose garden. It really was so beautiful. The large ballroom where we had dinner, drinks and dancing is superb. The decor is grand but with a modern feel. The staff working on our wedding weekend were brilliant, so attentive and responsive to our guests needs. The food was top notch.. from the drinks reception to the dinner .. the late eats and the bar-b-que the next day. The bar staff were brilliant. The reception team were quick and very helpful with our guests. The castle grounds & rooms are fab for photos. There are many influences behind the castle decor which make it more interesting. All of our guests had an amazing memorable weekend and their comments & feedback was super. Special mention to our wedding co-ordinator Emma. She is brilliant at her job and is a credit to Cabra Castle. She was so helpful all along with any questions and advice and on the day was amazing! The recent upgrades of the side terrace, fountain and new lift have enhanced the castle look and feel to another level .. 5 Stars all the way!

We got married in Cabra at the end of May, we couldn't have had better service. Our guests are still raving about the food and the quality of the rooms. Cabra Castle was absolutely amazing, I would shout it from the rooftops if I could. We were planning the wedding from Canada and they were just so attentive and accommodating, it made our lives so much easier. As what happens with weddings, the couple plans and plans for months/years but always feel a bit stressed in the days leading up thinking "did I do this or think of that?". On the day of, Cabra staff didn't let me worry for a second. They were just so ON POINT with everything and the day went off without a hitch.
Visually it is a stunning place with history and regal charm and the work they've put into their gardens and grounds add to the charm. The food was incredible, people are still talking about it and the rooms and service were just amazing.
From a functional standpoint, they have great packages available and we were able to have the quality of wedding we wanted while staying in budget. Thank you to the entire Cabra Castld banqueting team, ye are all dream-makers! :)

Cabra have been amazing from start to finish. They put so much time and effort into making the venue perfect for each couple. They are always looking for more ways to improve the venue which shows to me they love making a fairly tale wedding experience for their bride and grooms. The food is always amazing I have been to so many wedding here myself and never have got a bad Meal. I love everything about it.

We had our wedding in Cabra Castle on 10th May 2019. Johnny was amazing to deal with and made sure all the little extras we requested were in place for us which was amazing. The scenery at Cabra Castle makes it the perfect venue for a wedding and you will have the most amazing photos to cherish for the rest of your life. Cabra is a fantastic venue and the staff are amazing especially Johnny who we dealt with quiet a bit and was there on the day.the only fault is the table plan they give you doesn't really match the room but the will talk you through this .would highly recommend it.all our guests very impressed by setting and the high quality of food.

We had our wedding on the 16th March and had the best day ever!!! The hotel is just amazing in every way.
The staff are so helpful and cannot do enough for you, from planning to the actual day they are amazing.
The food on the day was faultless and all of our guests commented on the food. The presecco & wine in our package was flowing all day nobody was left dry!
We also had day 2 in their new bar which is also gorgeous. Brand new and they were so easy going and let us have the bar to ourselves all day and night- absolutely nothing was a problem.
The venue felt like home and we cannot wait for an excuse to go back and visit.

From day one, when we came across the wonderful Denise at a wedding fair, we were so drawn to the venue as well as her warm manner and genuine hospitality. We knew Cabra Castle would be a very strong contender.
We went to see the Castle soon afterwards and fell in love with all it had to offer, inside and out. The staff were so friendly and inviting that we knew it was the right place for us, our friends and our families.
In the run up to the wedding, the team put our minds at ease. Any question or query we had was met with a "No problem" attitude. They bent over backwards for us and really made the whole process so easy. They were extremely accommodating to family members with mobility issues and looked after all special requests.
We stayed the night before the wedding and our family really got to know and love the castle and staff, just as we did. The morning of the wedding was fantastic. Every need was catered for and the rooms were divine.
We had our ceremony in the castle and everything went off seamlessly. The room was exactly as we had imagined - stunning and warm. The food at the reception and dinner was outstanding and our guests are still talking about the fantastic quality and quantity of food served. Our guests were also highly complimentary of the staff, particularly their warmth and friendliness. We too can vouch for that.
We had a wonderful second evening in the castle where we were yet again treated like royalty. We cannot thank the staff enough as they really were key players in making our wedding day the most special and memorable day of our lives.

When it came to booking our wedding venue Cabra Castle was the only choice for us. Not only is it stunning inside and out but the staff always go above and beyond (a special thanks to Laura, our wedding coordinator, and Emma at reception). The food and overall level of service is second to none. Our guests are actually still raving about their meals a month later and were absolutely blown away by the whole day. Our families can't wait to come back in a few weeks to reminisce about the amazing day we all had.

If your getting married, look no further than Cabra Castle. It was first class from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The service and food was fantastic. My guests talked about the food for days after it, saying they couldn't fault a thing with the food. I got married at Cabra Castle at Christmas and the surroundings and lighting was just fab, I loved every minute of it. Massive thanks to Cabra Castle for helping us to have the fairy-tale wedding we have always dreamed of, it really was the best day ever! The castle looked beautiful with all the Christmas decorations on display and the staff could not have been more helpful in assisting us with the finishing touches. Cabra Castle is the perfect venue for a wedding, the unique decor of the hotel truly is picturesque and the quality of food was fabulous. The staff couldn't possibly have done anymore to make the day special. My wedding dress ripped while dancing, our wedding planer Rosie seen this and called me aside to sew it back together. Every moment of the day was planned to perfection by Rosie and the team. I couldn't recommend Cabra Castle high enough. I cannot recommend Cabra castle enough as a wedding venue. The venue is amazing but what really made it perfect for me was the staff. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so special and the meal was served with precision and the food was beautiful. I have to give a special thanks to Mary who was fantastic! Very organised and nothing was too much trouble. I also have to give a massive thanks to Laura and Emma. My dress tore at the back after doing some throwback kissing under the gazebo outside haha. It was just before going into the meal and I hadn't realised. They pointed this out to me and pinned it meaning it was fine to go into the meal. After the meal, I went up to the room and they came up and insisted on sewing my dress. They sewed it perfectly and I didn't have to worry about it for the rest of the evening. I was even fixing my hair and they offered to help. I don't know any other venue that would have service to this standard. I can't thank these girls enough.
Not only did they treat me well, but many of the guests commented on how attentive they were to them also and they all had a lovely time.
There is nothing I would change about the wedding reception and everything was perfect, that's how every bride should feel.
I must also say how AMAZING the honeymoon suite is. Four poster bed, bath in front of a beautiful window, veranda with a hot tub. It couldn't have been better.
We stayed a second night and the meal we had in the restaurant was beautiful and the staff again were fantastic.
We cannot wait to return to Cabra castle again.
Not only did they treat me well, but many of the guests commented on how attentive they were to them also and they all had a lovely time.
There is nothing I would change about the wedding reception and everything was perfect, that's how every bride should feel.

We had an amazing day and couldn't have asked for more in the lead up to our big day. The staff were very helpful with all our requests. Emma in particular out did herself in making our wedding a day to remember.
All our guest could not speak highly enough of the beautiful venue and great service.

I cannot recommend Cabra Castle enough. They made our day so special and made us feel like we were the only people ever to get married there! We would like to thank all the staff at Cabra Caste for making our wedding day so special. The Banqueting team were so helpful along the way in planning and helping us organise the day and in Particular Emma and Johnny who co-ordinated the day for us. The Service and food were absolutely exceptional on the day and we had a lot of compliments from friends and family of the same. The recent renovations to the gardens,outdoor Balcony and Car park with the addition of flowers in the banqueting room itself show that they are always striving to become better and we loved the venue even more with the new additions when our wedding day arrived. a lovely Castle venue which we could not recommend enough, we will be going back for the night on our Anniversary. 100% would recommend Cabra Castle for a wedding venue. From start to finish it was perfect - great staff, great food, great service. Could not fault it at all. Fabulous venue. Staff, service and food all excellent. Huge help in planning our day. Absolutely delighted we choose to have our wedding there. Highly recommend them. They were so efficient and organised on the day. We had no stress, hassle or anything to worry about / organise. Gate Lodge in their grounds was also brilliant for the day before our wedding and great BBQ area for a family party the day after.

Couldn't have been happier with our treatment from Cabra Castle. The staff were all so friendly and treated us like royalty.. not just on the day but the following days too. I can't say enough about Cabra Castle. The staff were incredible throughout the run up to the wedding and they were so attentive on the day. The food was amazing. The venue itself is just stunning and our photographer got beautiful photos on the day. It was the most perfect day!

Had an amazing wedding day at Cabra Castle, the staff cannot do enough for you and are extremely helpful. The only downside was that not all our cake was served during the band break when we requested and we ended up with lots to take home the day after the wedding when it could have been used or brought home by guests on the night.

I cannot recommend Cabra Castle enough. The day was perfect and our guests are still raving about the service on the day. So fast with the food and it was gorgeous. Everything was considered and no task was any trouble for them.
The new garden is beautiful and great for photos.
The only tiny criticism I have was the pricing and not being able to lock it down sooner but it all worked out in the end.

The staff at Cabra Castle were so supportive throughout the planning of the wedding to the day. Any email sent was responded to within hours and they really couldn't do enough to help us. They gave us lots of inspiring ideas and always made us feel so special whenever we stayed there for romantic nights away in the build up to the big day!

Myself and my husband got married in Cabra Castle last Christmas and had the most amazing day of our lives. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly - even so far as delivering my cousin's main course to her in her room as she was off feeding her baby when the meals were brought out!! I don't know any other venue who would go to that length to look after their guests! The venue itself was such a beautiful setting for our day - I felt like a Disney princess on the day. There are so many areas for photographs within the hotel that you are sorted no matter what the weather. We look forward to returning soon for lunch to see all the updates to the hotel. I couldn't recommend Cabra Castle more! Thanks to all the staff for all their help.

The food and service were fantastic, bridal suites are stunning and staff are great. Be sure to clearly state what way you want your tables set as there were a few mistakes with ours and when walking in as the bride you cant change them! Apart from that we had the most perfect day and night!!

We had our wedding reception in Cabra Castle in September 2017 and I cannot recommend them enough! From start to finish, they made sure the day was amazing. I fell in love with the venue the first time and I saw it and all of our guests were praising it on our wedding day. The staff could not have been more helpful and made us both so comfortable on the day and made it all so easy. We viewed a few venues before viewing Cabra Castle and I think Cabra Castle's costs were very reasonable. The food was beautiful and again we received many compliments about the food from our guests. I honestly can't say enough about Cabra Castle! And I would recommend anyone to have their wedding there.

Every meeting was well planned and professional and always settled your nerves and filled you with confidence that the staff at cabra had it under control. Experts at getting the information from you and putting it into reality. We didn't have to worry one bit which we totally appreciate.
Jessica and I would like to thank everyone involved within the castle for making our day the best day of our life and what a way to start married life.
You work at the best location I have ever had the privilege to stay at never mind get married in. Every guest commented on how beautiful the hotel is and we caught many guests getting photographs all over the hotel proving they did actually mean this and this was not just words.
The room looked lovely and was set up just as we wanted and we are still getting comments on how good the food was.
Now for the service, the amount of comments we have had from guests explaining how they were treated like kings is a testament to all the staff. We have even been told a waitress even looked after a baby while a couple had their meal....now that is going the extra mile.
As for Jessica and I we felt really special and we were treated like royalty. The waitress that looked after us at the top table was amazing, I couldn't even get to the bottom of a glass of wine without it being topped up, we small things that don't go unnoticed. This was the same for everyone throughout the room I am told.
The staff at the bar were again professional and looked after our guests well.
The service was 10 out of 10 and this extended into breakfast the next morning and for the 10 guests that stayed the next night the service continued even though you had another wedding to look after to your high standard we were not forgotten about. Girls at reception even booked us a restaurant and transport leaving nothing for me and Jessica to organise to continue our celebrations with our guests for the second night.
We have heard nothing negative at all and certainly did no experience anything negative apart from having to leave, could have stayed some much longer in either bridal suite as both are amazing.
It is impossible to put into words how much we would like to thank you all and the gratitude we have for all your staff or to say how much we actually enjoyed the day itself and the following day.

We had our wedding there in November 2016. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, Cabra Castle was amazing. They accommodated our every need and made us feel so calm and relaxed throughout the whole day. Everyone commented on how professional and kind the staff were. Our guests are still commenting on how nice the food was and the rooms in the Castle and Courtyard are 5 star!! The honeymoon suite was unlike anything I've ever stayed in, there was a 4 poster bed, stand-alone bathtub, outside area with bbq and a hot tub! I honestly could not fault Cabra on anything. I couldn't believe how well they listened to us with ease followed out everything we requested! A special mention has to go to Paul, our wedding coordinator. He was outstanding and organised our day with military precision and a calmness throughout. I would highly recommend Cabra to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. The room is beautiful and the surroundings were perfect. It is without doube the best place for a wedding it has everything...beautiful grounds for photos, and if the weather is bad the rooms inside are great for photos. What I loved most about this venue was the dining area. The room looked amazing and it felt very much like we were inside an old castle not an extension like other places we viewed. I highly recommend viewing this venue, you will be blowed away just like we were.

We had the most magical and amazing day. Cannot praise Cabra Castle enough, two years on and not one regret regarding the day I wouldn't change a single thing. Cabra Castle will always be our special place and when we return we relive the day. We had lots of oversea guests and they adored the castle. Also very child friendly which was important to us because of our extended family. A day we are so proud of and never want forget.

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding. From the very start we loved everything about the Castle from the grounds to the function room. Rose showed us around and helped us secure a date in 2016. The wedding day was just unbelievable, we got ready in the lodge which was gorgeous, the drinks and nibbles were just were perfect when we got back from the Church and the meal was beautiful. The staff were so helpful and genuine and it created a lovely relaxed atmosphere on the day. I know every bride thinks their wedding venue was the best but I can honestly say the value, service and quality Cabra Castle offers it's wedding party and guests are second to none.

Cabra was always our dream
Wedding venue, and they certainly didn't disappoint. Running up to the big day they made myself and husband Ian feel so relaxed about everything. On the day the place was breath taking, the most beautiful wedding setting. The food was outstanding, I had so many guests compliment on how it was the nicest food they tasted at a wedding. The staff were fantastic Rose and Paul made us feel like royalty I even had a few guests mention how nice the ladies serving the wine and food at the tables were. We stayed at the castle on the night of our wedding and then a second evening, both bridal suits were beautiful. We hope to go back to cabra on our anniversary every year to reminisce our beautiful day.

Right from the first meeting we had with Cabra Castle we were made to feel as if we were the only couple in the world to have our wedding there. Words cannot express the level of service right from the start to the end of our special day. The staff, the food, the accommodation, the venue and the surprisingly affordable price were so much appreciated by ourselves and our guests who all had great things to say about Cabra Castle.

We got married in Cabra Castle hotel last winter and I couldn't recommend this venue more. We loved every second of our day and we were treated so well by all staff! It was truely a magical experience getting married in such a wonderful castle. All our guests still talk about the fantastic day it was!!

We celebrated our wedding in Cabra Castle on October 16th and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From going to view Cabra Castle when we were looking at venues the staff were so pleasant, able to answer any questions, quick to respond to any emails or phonecalls we had and just did an outstanding service. They went above and beyond to make us feel like our wedding was unique, personal and special.
The food was amazing and lots of it, everyone commented on how good it was.
The accommodation for us and our guests were superb.
Staff in the castle were polite and professional at all times and very friendly.
Just wish we could do it all again!

From beginning to end, cabra castle was like a fairytale. The service and staff were spectacular. All our guests raved about the food and the highest standard of accommodation as well as service. We couldn't have asked for a better venue.
Nothing was too large or small. We had a chinese influence to our wedding and the staff has no issues with the decorations and additional requirements for the tea ceremony.
The experience from end to end was excellent throughout. It made our jobs so much easier as they really guided us along the way.

I could spend all day talking about how amazing our wedding day was in Cabra Castle, the food, the venue, the location - this however was only surpassed by the truly amazing staff. Everyone should get married here, family and friends still talking about it

We had our wedding in August this year and cannot thank Cabra enough. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding! The venue is beautiful. We had a lot of family who travelled to Ireland for the wedding, who all commented on the quality of the food, service and the great staff, who missed nothing. Our day ran so smoothly, with all details expertly managed by Cabra. I would highly recommend this venue.

We could not have chosen a better place to host our wedding than Cabra Castle. Beautiful setting with magical touches from start to finish. All of the staff were a pleasure to deal with, from first contact, to finalising details, and we were looked after impeccably throughout the day. Nothing was ever too much - as we are based in England, we did expect some potential issues - however we had nothing of the sort. The staff were responsive at all times regarding room lists or outstanding questions and they maintained professionalism throughout to make everything so special. The food is first class, the rooms astounding and they were just so flexible even when our timings were slightly delayed. All of our guests were blown away at how friendly, attentive and caring the staff were and how beautiful the surroundings were.
We cannot thank Cabra enough for everything and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for that magical venue to make the day complete.

We are so happy we had our wedding in cabra castle. We travelled from kerry to have our wedding there. Everything was perfect and they ensured we had the best day ever. I would recommend cabra castle to everyone.

We searched all over the country for the perfect wedding venue ,upon entering cabra castle we both knew this had to be the one. From start to finish they knew exactly what we wanted even mostly before we did. We met with patrick and I had my parents with us as usual my mum asked way to many questions but he never flinched he was more than happy to patiently answer them all. On the wedding day itself rose made sure our wedding went off without a hitch it was nothing short of amazing . Our guests were amazed at how well everything went off and said was one of the best weddings they have attended! As my now husband is part of the hotel industry and of course his friends were also he appreciated how much work went into our day from each staff member. There was another dark haired lady that looked after the top table who was amazing (her daughter got married there shortly before us) after the dinner had ended she brought me to our room helped me take off my veil and gave me a minute to catch my breath I'll be forever grateful to her! We followed the next day with a bbq and a band and Johnny looked after us and service was amazing yet again . I couldn't fault one thing from this hotel! If you are looking for a wedding of you're dreams that goes ahead without any hiccups this is the place for you!

This is the best hotel/castle you will ever find to spend your big day in!! From the moment we drove up Cabra Castle, we fell in love. We knew very quickly this is where we would be having our special day. We met Laura that day, and from that day she and all the other staff at Cabra Castle gave us the best service you could ask for. Nothing was a problem. The day itself was amazing.We and all our guests were looked after so well. We have heard nothing but compliments about Cabra Castle from our guests. The staff there are exceptional. Cabra Castle is known by so many as a wonderful wedding venue but a well kept secret to many of our guests. All of our dealings with Cabra Castle were great. Not only were they easy but they were actually good fun too. It felt like we were valued customers at all stages of the process from initial investigations to leaving the morning after the wedding weekend. We got such good feedback from all our guests which was really lovely. Many of them were from different parts of the country and had never experienced Cabra Castle before. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cabra Castle to anyone and I would highlight their amazing staff as being one of their key selling points. Thanks to Therese and all the team. Hope to be invited to a wedding in Cabra Castle soon!

I had my wedding there last year!!! I loved every second of it! The staff at cabra especially Brenda and Paul who done so much for us.... Food was fantastic warm and so tasty... To change things about was no problem at all nothing was too much for them... I loved it and was treated like a real princess and fantastic value for money and a beautiful venue...
I would love to go back again and celebrate my wedding again and I tell everyone about it.... And my guest are still talking about our wedding a year later!!! Thank you for making our day special.

Every guest at our wedding said that our wedding was flawless! This would not have been so if not for the staff in cabra castle. The food was to die for, the service was impeccable and we had the most amazing time. It was a dream venue and made our wedding perfect.

This venue was excellent, the attention we got on the day was amazing. Everyone commented on how nice the food was. The rooms and castle are beautiful. You really feel like yours is the only wedding have on, yet they have weddings on most days.They are professional, friendly and supportive. They really made our day.

Cabra Castle is without doubt the most amazing wedding venue we have been to and were lucky enough to be able to have our wedding there too. It is not just the fact that it is a castle, beautiful rooms, loads of character, lovely gardens, a courtyard, excellent food (really amazing food!!!) but it is the staff who are the real draw. They take care of every minor detail and make sure that no stone is left unturned.
We had a brilliant day and our friends & family still mention how amazing it was.

We were married here in September and it was the most memorable day thanks to all the staff; Denise, Karen, Paul, Patrick and especially Rose and Paul who took care of us on the day itself. In the 18 months we had met so many of the team, including Oscar the resident Irish Wolfhound, and I would not hesitate to recommend Cabra Castle to anyone looking for their dream location. The food was amazing, the ballroom was fairytale and we are still getting so many compliments from friends and family on the amazing hospitality. On booking our day I had a feeling something magical would unfold on the day and I was definitely not disappointed. I can't thank the team enough for everything they did for us.

We were married on Easter Sunday and had our reception here in Cabra.Laura ,Brenda,Paul was so helpful and our day ran like clockwork. It was perfect. The food , service was class and we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The honeymoon suite was fantastic and even had a hot tub out on the roof!!Wonderful place.

What can I say about this place, it exceeded every expectation that we had. From the first meeting with Therese we knew this was the place. The grounds, function room and bridal suite is just breathtaking, Oscar the Irish Wolfhound was always available for photo's. The food was perfect both for our weeding breakfast and in the resteraunt. The Staff were friendly and helpful at all stages, the bedrooms were immaculate, they made the planning and preperation of our special day so easy, that on the day we only had to enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting that special day. Very reasonably for one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Ireland. Book this place and you are guaranteed a great day.

We were married here in August and I dont think we could EVER speak highly enough of Cabra Castle and its staff. Me, my new husband and all our guests spend a full 3 days at Cabra and not ONE of us had a complaint. Nothing! The service, the food, the organisation, the smiles - EVERYTHING was exceptional. Two of our friends booked their wedding there the day after ours they were so impressed! A very special mention to Paul, Brenda and Jo who we had most contact with and really did everything possible to give us the best weekend ever. And you barely even noticed they were doing it!! Two weeks before our day, in a meeting with Paul I asked for something and was told "Nothing's too much trouble here at Cabra" Not only was that a great relief at teh time, but was also never a truer word spoken...

A big thank you to Rose, Laura, Brenda and all the staff at Cabra Castle who made our wedding day so special. The service and food was as always exceptional. We knew when booking our wedding we would have no worries but these guys really went above and beyond for us and our wedding guests. The new bridal suite is amazing and the hot tub was a real treat the next morning even if it was raining!
