We got married on 10 Oct 2025 in the fabulous Farnham estate. From the time we arrived on the Thursday to when we checked out on the Sunday, the staff of Farnham were spectacular. The service, kindness and attentiveness of the staff was fantastic.

Our first viewing of the venue was December 2024, we met with Margaret who showed us around and gave us all the detail we needed to make our decision, from then Margaret was a pleasure to deal with. There was never a delay on any queries, we received a warm welcome on any visit between December and Oct. There was never a time when we questioned our decision of the venue.

Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing, we had a civil ceremony in the fantastic Redwood suite, followed by drinks, dinner and a lot of dancing, to say the hotel staff when above and beyond would be an understatement. It was perfect.

The evening staff, Cainon, Alex and everyone else on the wedding night and our day two were also a pleasure to deal with, again pulling out all the stops for us.

We couldn’t have wished for a better weekend, we loved every single second of it and would love to relive it all over again.

Farnham Estate was a superb venue for our wedding. The setting of the house and grounds is beautiful and provides you and your guests with a stunning environment. Being the sole wedding on the day itself was also important and the wedding team were very helpful in making the venue feel personalised for the day and assisting with vendors. The spa and grounds were greatly appreciated by all who were staying overnight and the whole Estate rivals anywhere in Ireland for an ideal setting.

We had been to Farnham a few times before booking our wedding so we knew it was the right place for us....from start to finish the amazing team at Farnham looked after and cared for us in more ways than you'd expect from a hotel. The team were genuine in their handling of out wedding and making it the best day of our lives....in particular Danielle, Rachel and Conan....were just outstanding. Their genuine care for us meant so much to us especially when my dad was taken into hospital the night before the wedding....it turned all the plans upside down but they dealt with it in such a way that was so seamless and stress free for us.....they made sure everything went smoothly....they couldn't of done enough for us even after the wedding, they accommodated our family as we had to stay extra because my dad was in hospital in Cavan general....Conan on day 2 was just such a gentleman. He couldn't of done enough for us.....everything was in hand, we didn't have to worry about anything...even when some guests arrived late he made sure he got them food....the staff there are an absolute credit to the hotel....we would highly recommend this as place to get married....

I find it hard to put into words how incredible our wedding day was, Farnham Estate has such a massive part to play in that. The venue and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking.

Danielle played such a massive part in our special day. From the first email we sent back in 2022 right up to walking out of the venue a married couple. Danielle helped us bring it all together. No question was ever to big, to silly or unanswerable. Her patience, kindness, professionalism and expertise will never go unappreciated by us. We were so lucky to have you by our side through our wedding journey.

We met Rachel closer to our wedding day, what a duo herself and Danielle are! Rachel made our day run so smoothly. She is nothing short of incredible at what she does! Rachel, the waitressing staff and bar staff were amazing on the day. Everything ran so efficiently.

Patrick from the bar looked after us so well from breakfast, to lunch, to our evening drinks after day two, he constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and more.

Danielle, Rachel, Patrick and all the staff at Farnham Estate from the bottom of our hearts thank you for being part in making our day so perfect.

Farnham Estate will forever hold a special place in our heart, and we can’t wait to make more memories here in the near future.

We had our wedding at Farnham Estate in July and it was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. From the moment we booked, we knew we were in good hands, but the actual experience exceeded every expectation.

The night before the wedding worked out perfectly. Both wedding parties had their own accommodation spaces, giving us plenty of room to relax and prepare, but also allowing us to meet up with our guests for drinks in the evening. The accommodation itself was incredible – spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. On the morning of the wedding, there was more than enough room for everyone to get ready without feeling cramped. The hotel went above and beyond, sending champagne to us and thoughtful gifts to our parents, which was such a lovely touch.


A huge thank you to Margaret, our wonderful wedding coordinator. When you’re booking a wedding, you’re not just choosing a venue – you’re putting your trust in the person who will guide you through the process. Margaret was absolutely exceptional. She was always responsive, calm, and reassuring – even as my emails became a little more frantic closer to the date! Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made sure everything was under control at all times. She also made me feel like I was the only bride she was looking after – even though Farnham is such a popular wedding venue, it never once felt that way.

We also want to thank Rachael, the ops Manager, along with Cainon and Colm, who were so professional and made us feel in the very best of hands. Their organisation, attention to detail, and calm approach helped everything run smoothly behind the scenes – we couldn’t have asked for a better team.

We had a menu tasting ahead of the big day and were able to give our feedback, which the team took on board perfectly. Our guests have not stopped talking about how amazing the food was. At a wedding, the two things people always remember are the food and the entertainment – and Farnham delivered on both in spades.

On the day itself, everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I had been very conscious of timings, especially with mealtime entertainment, a room turnaround, and a band setup in the evening – but the team got dinner served in record time, keeping everything on track. It was flawless.

Our guests absolutely loved the venue. Many stayed for two nights to enjoy the facilities, the beautiful walks, and the relaxing spa – making it not just a wedding, but a mini holiday for everyone.

Farnham Estate gave us the most incredible wedding day we could have wished for, and we will be forever grateful to Margaret, Rachael, Cainon, Colm, and the whole team. We always loved staying at Farnham but when we viewed it for our potential wedding venue, we fell in love with it. We had Margaret McDonald as our wedding co-ordinator and she was just amazing. She made planning a wedding stress free and enjoyable. Margaret and her team were so professional and had everything prefect for our wedding. The room was fab and the food was amazing. All our guests complimented on how good everything was especially the duck starters.

We had our wedding in June 2025 in Farnham Estate and had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

We booked our date in August 2023 and found the team very responsive, organised and easy to deal with from the first time we met them. The pricing and packages were easy to understand, flexible and the team were upfront on costs with no hidden surprises. It was no hassle at all to change little details on the menu or package we picked and overall we felt we got really good value for our money and guests.

We spent 3 nights in Farnham, having a meal for family and bridal party the night before the wedding and then having a pig on a spit for 90 people on the day 2 in the golf clubhouse. We mainly dealt with Danielle & Shauna in the lead up to the wedding and on the weekend itself Danielle, Doville and Cadáin ensured everything ran smoothly. Little things like tidying the bridal suite after we left for the church and leaving gifts for our parents were special touches that were not expected.

The team were also very helpful in setting up the ball room and drinks reception and returning everything to us after the wedding. The attention to detail of the staff is quite impressive and every little detail we had requested was remembered and taken care of on the day.

One of the best things about Farnham in my opinion is that they have so much accomodation on site, so any of our 170 guests who wanted to stay over the weekend had the opportunity to book in. The resort houses are a great option for groups of friends or anyone with young children. Having so many of our guests stay in the hotel added to the relaxed atmosphere as our guests were not rushed out of the venue the next morning and had the option to stay for the Day 2 also if they wanted to.

We also had the added bonus of being able to use the pool with our guests on day 2 on one of the sunniest days of the year. This was a highlight we hadn't banked on!

We were lucky enough to have a very sunny day so we got to make the most of the grounds for our photos and drinks reception. There are also gorgeous places in the reception and Farnham House to take photos so even if you are not lucky with the weather, there are plenty of nice photo spots. The indoor drinks reception area is also a gorgeous space and knowing this was big enough for all our guests in the event of bad weather was important for us too.

We really recommend considering Farnham Estate for your wedding as we had a such an enjoyable and stress free experience.

I cannot thank you all enough, you all created a seamless, magical and amazing day for both myself and my husband and all of our guests. The food was exceptional, the space was great, all the staff amazing. Margaret, you are exceptional. Your infectious excitement, wonderment of all the goings on, coordinating and organising everyone/everything was above and beyond. We got married in Farnham estate and the attention to detail made our wedding day unforgettable. No task was too much for the staff at Farnham. Danielle was incredible from day dot.
She made us feel so welcome and was forthcoming with all the answers to our questions. On our menu tasting evening, the chef came out to speak with us and took note of the tweaks we wanted which were much appreciated.
On the Big day itself, Rachel and Tracey were so supportive and helpful, accommodating our every need.

We had the most wonderful experience with our wedding at Farnham. From start to finish, the team were exceptional. Danielle, our wedding coordinator, was incredibly professional, accommodating, and always a step ahead in making sure everything ran smoothly. We also had the pleasure of meeting Margaret during the planning process and Rachel on the day itself—each of them went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. No request was too big and no question too small; we always felt supported and reassured.

Their guidance on timings and food choices was invaluable, and it was clear we were benefiting from years of experience and genuine care. Having worked in hospitality myself, I know how significant it is that staff remain long-term—it speaks volumes about the quality of the venue and its management.

The venue itself is stunning, offering an abundance of beautiful photo opportunities no matter the weather, which gave us great peace of mind. The food was exceptional and has been mentioned by so many of our guests, and the service on the day was equally flawless.

I don’t know where to start with this review. We had our wedding reception at the Farnham Estate on the 14th of December 2024 and all I can say is that it was absolutely magical. It exceeded our high expectations. We couldn’t have wished for a better day.

Throughout the planning of the wedding Danielle and Shauna couldn’t do enough for us. They were always there to support us and offer guidance. Nothing was ever too big of an ask. Danielle ensured everything was done exactly how we wanted right down to the finer details. Danielle replied to every email so promptly, even at 10pm on a Sunday night.

On the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly. This was a result of the staff being well organised, hardworking, prompt, and very polite. Everyone excelled at their role. The dinner service was excellent. The food was amazing and plentiful. Several of our guests have said, 'it was the best Turkey & Ham dinner they ever had'. We had a good few guests with dietary requirements and every one of them said they were never at another venue that catered for their requirements so well. One person who stands out during dinner service is Doville. She ensured everything ran accordingly and she went above and beyond for us and our guests. She was really friendly and kept checking in with everyone to ensure everything was ok. Another person we cannot thank enough is Rachel. There wasn’t anything she wasn’t involved in. She oversaw everything on the day of the wedding. She also checked in with all of our vendors to ensure they had everything they needed. Rachel also got the crowd going announcing us into the ballroom and by the end of the night everyone knew her name as she made it her business to interact with the guests and ensure everyone's needs were met.

All of our guests were blown away by how amazing Farnham Estate is, it's such a luxurious wow venue.

We cannot thank all the staff in the Farnham Estate for all their hard work and for making our wedding truly unforgettable. We would highly recommend the Farnham Estate for the wedding of your dreams.

We were sold on Farnham from day 1: the view on the walk from the car park, the venue and particularly Danielle.

No one really expects flawless but nothing comes to mind worth mentioning from that first day. We were treated like Kings and noticeably the standard was consistent for us and guests alike.

We had our wedding reception in Farnham Estate in October. This was the first venue we viewed back in July 23 and we both fell in love with the hotel and surrounding grounds straight away and no where else compared to it after that.
Such a classy decor, friendly staff and just a relaxing and welcoming ambience in general.
Our point of contact throughout the whole planning stage was Danielle. She is a true professional, so experienced, a great sound board and offered us lots of advice.
Danielle was so helpful and so informative, answered all of our concerns, queries, questions with no hesitation, so we put our trust in her and she did not disappoint. The day and night itself was just the best. Everything was as we had planned, food, drinks, service, staff, five stars. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue and it's facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel as a wedding venue.

I don't even know where to start with this review as I was blown away by the whole weekend. Myself and Darren are so happy we choose Farnham for our wedding, if I could give this hotel 6 stars I would.

We had the most magical day and weekend at Farnham Estate. There is so many people to thank but here are some we wanted to mention
Firstly Margaret and Shauna the wedding co-ordinators. Thank you for all the help and guidance over our 2 years planning. We dealt mostly with Shauna and she was outstanding. Even the breakfast staff Doville, Laura and Mary were so pleasant and accommodating putting us sitting together and ensuring we had a lovely breakfast experience over the few days, excellent at their jobs.

And finally GM Michael Weston who even with his demanding job took the time to come and personally congratulate us on our special day, and what a team of staff you have.
The food all weekend was out of this world so beautiful and guests are still talking about how tasty it was so thank you to the head chef all in the kitchen. We had our day 2 in the Clubhouse and it was also a dream. Food was amazing and we again were treated so well and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I wish we could do it all again it was everything we dreamt of and more and that really is down to the amazing staff at Farnham Estate. Cannot wait to come back for an overnight visit and would highly recommend Farnham Estate for your wedding venue.

My husband and I met Danielle in Farnham back in February 2023 and immediately fell in love with the venue and knew it was the one for us. Danielle looked after us from day 1 and couldn't do enough for us and I really have to say Danielle, Rachel and all the team in Farnham went above and beyond to make sure our day went smoothly. We had our special day on 5th September 2024 and were lucky with the weather to get married outside in Farnham which went down very well with all the guests. The food was exceptional and the ballroom etc set up was fabulous. The rooms in Farnham are all very nice and luxurious and all the guests were blown away by the venue. I highly recommend Farnham as a wedding venue, I didn't have any issues with anything and Danielle was always so quick to respond to any queries I had which made the whole wedding planning so much easier. We got married at the Farnham Estate in August 2024 and it was the most magical day we could have imagined. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, from the stunning grounds, which also included an outdoor garden gazebo on the lawns, to the elegant interiors, and the warm welcome and flawless setup made everything feel so special. The staff were incredible - patient, genuinely caring, making us feel like family throughout. Shauna was a pleasure to work with during the planning, and Rachael went above and beyond on the day, practically becoming part of the bridal party. I am from Australia and my husband is from Cavan, so the thought of planning an overseas wedding felt absolutely daunting. However, Shauna and Rachael took the lead and made the whole experience seamless. They were incredibly dedicated to ensuring we had the best time both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. The food was absolutely divine, full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the honeymoon suite was both comfortable and stunning. We also had a lovely breakfast in our room that morning, which was the perfect start to the day. We are looking forward to returning to thank the team in person and celebrate our first anniversary! We booked Farnham Estate for our wedding a little over 2 years in advance after reviewing some of the other hotels local to us. From start to finish the wedding team; Danielle, Shauna and Margaret were all brilliant. They offered help and advice any time we needed it (including supplier recommendations) and nothing was ever a problem for them.
Our wedding day really was the best day of our lives. Farnham Estate was the perfect venue for us. There are plenty of beautiful photo opportunities, the food was fantastic and the staff on the day as well as the following day were all so friendly and helpful. We have had so many comments both on the day and since from guests saying it was the best wedding they have been to. We are so thankful to the Farnham Estate for everything.

We recently had our wedding day at the Farnham Estate Cavan. It was beyond our wildest dreams. Danielle was our wedding coordinator from the day we booked. She is exceptional at her job, her attention to detail is second to none. Our wedding day surpassed every expectation. The food, the service, the decor every little item that we had mentioned was there in its exact place. Our guests are still raving about the food and venue. We particularly loved being able to have our photos taken on the grounds of the Farnham as it is such a stunning setting. Danielle had the amazing idea of our first dance being outside in the pergola. It was like something from the movies it will forever be an extremely special part of our day. If you are considering having your Wedding in the Farnham Estate, or even going for a night away. Do it, it’s the most amazing experience from start to finish.

Just coming back down to earth now .. what can I say, thank you soooo much, thank you will never cut it but we are so grateful for everything you done in helping to plan our wedding. Amazing day, great venue and location. The wedding reception area is separate from the main hotel- so there is ultimate privacy of wedding guests only. There is a bar in the reception area. Lovely and spacious we had enough room for a 4 piece Irish band whilst comfortable accommodating guests aswell. We loved the function room, it is not overwhelming- a lovely size, there is a bar present in the function room which was a massive plus for us. Overall great location, for guests to make a weekend of your day as the hotel has a lot to offer guests. Food was also amazing- everyone complimented this. Would definitely recommend this venue.

Farnham is the most stunning venue for a wedding. The wedding pavilion is separate to the main hotel which we loved as it had some privacy. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with a mix of modern and vintage decor. I liked that they kept the estate house with its vintage feel but is surrounded by modern. The grounds for photos are outstanding our wedding photos are beautiful! The food was absolutely fantastic everyone was raving about it. The hotel rooms were huge, clean and relaxing, beds are extremely comfortable. The staff here are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for us we couldn't have been happier with our wedding day here and would recommend it to absolutely anyone.

From the minute we walked into the Farnham Estate we were blown away with the service, venue and staff. We were delighted with the food, service and our guests had a great time. The venue is stunning and even now to visit after getting married at Farnham Estate is a special experience. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about farnham estate, absolutly incredible venue, amazing and very professional staff, our wedding co ordininaters ciara and Danielle pulled out all the stops when it came to re arranging our wedding due to covid! The quality of the food was outstanding, there was no stone left unturned, we love Farnham, we visit every year but now we have a special reason to return every year! Everyone of our guests remarked on how beautiful the grounds were and how stunning the hotel and ballroom is, we would highly recommend Farnham Estate for your wedding

We were the first wedding after the covid restrictions were lifted.. Before they were brought in again ???? the help the Farnham gave us was next to none in the most scary of times. They were excellent and if I could I would do it all over again. Thank you to Danielle Ciara and all the team

We had our wedding on the 17th of August 2019 in Farnham Estate and we definitely had the best day of our lives. We organised our big day from oversea and the staff at Farnham were amazing from day one. Danielle was our wedding coordinator, she was extremely helpful and very responsive to our emails and any questions we had. Colm was looking after us on the big day. He made sure everything went to plan and ensured the day we very smoothly. The food was exceptional throughout the day and our guest were very happy. The ballroom and reception area were beautifully decorated. We couldn't recommend Farnham Estate highly enough. It was amazing and we wouldn't have changed a thing.

What can we say from the first email to the wedding day Farnham estate was amazing! Planing our wedding from the UK everyone made us feel like we were there and they replied to us quickly. The venue is absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change a thing! Food on the day was 100%, sat down on time, enough space between each course so we and our guests had time to enjoy each course. I could go on and on I just can not thank Tracey Stephen and the team enough x

Overall we really enjoyed our wedding day and would recommend Farnham.

Jonathan at the reception suite, Audrey who served our table and Ciaran at reception (in the hotel) helped us out with a number of things during our stay over the two days.
We're actually looking at booking a weekend in Farnham in the next few weeks we were so happy with our wedding there!

We recently got married (may 10, '14) in the Farnham. I have many good stories to show how good there service is, but then I'd be here all day writing this review ;)

Anyone thinking of a wedding, just to summarise our 3 day stay:

Day 1. Golf. No pressure, good fun. Bit wet, but that's the man upstairs fault. Forgiving fairways and fast greens. Sun was out and the buggies got us around quick. Gavin and the lads there were really super.

Day 2: the wedding. The place halted for to receive us. Everything went perfectly. Cooking 170 fillet steaks isn't easy, but these lads made it look easy. Jonathan the MC, was a STAR. He made the evening run like a locamotive. Such a great night. Matthew, the bar Manager had to put up with us all till 5am! What a legend.

Day 3. BBQ in the lemon room. 50 hungry heads were fed back to life by Tomek and his team. Just super. Yummy post partying ribs, burgers, salads, etc. Just yum. Tomek, you were right about that Malbec you recommended.

Thanks in particular to Patsy, the lady at the helm. She sold us a wonderful day, we paid. THEY delivered.

We would like to thank all the staff at Farnham for making our wedding a truly special occasion. Both Patsy and Clodagh were very helpful every time we called on them throughout the planning process. Any questions we posed were answered promptly. We would also like to mention Jonathan who was extremely professional and helpful for the entire wedding day. A special thank you to Sonia at the front desk who was extremely helpful in organising a steamer for the wedding dress which was creased upon arrival. It helped to calm the nerves. All the staff at the hotel were very kind to us and really helped to make us feel special, from the reception desk to the wedding staff and the lunch staff the next day. The complimentary bottle of prosecco on the Saturday with our dinner was a lovely touch. In a word the whole experience was perfect. Thank you to all at Farnham.

We both couldn't recommend the hotel for not only a wedding but for any event and break away. Everyone commented on the grounds, reception area and rooms. A lot of guests got free late checkout, some as late as 3pm which was excellent. They were also delighted that they could still use the spa even after check out and some took advantage of this.
For us it was brilliant to know that guests had a great day and enjoyed the facilities as well. The bridal suite was beautiful, i was so disappointed we didn't stay on another night but we had already made plans for the day after with friends. I couldn't fault Jonathan and the waiting staff before and during the reception. He couldn't be more helpful even before the wedding.
On the day he had bits and pieces set up on the tables and in the reception as requested and last minute set up the wedding cupcakes for us. Food and service was excellent and both Jonathan and the waiting staff checked in regularly with us to ensure everything was good for us.
Even the next morning the reception staff and bar service staff were so polite and friendly. I would highly recommend Farnham for a wedding, any event or stay. Thanks to everyone again involved in our day

Just a wee note to say thank you and the staff especially David who looked after us so well on our big day. We truly enjoyed our wedding from start to finish. We first visited Farnham four years ago and we fell in love with the place and have come back several times since. We got engage a year later and looked at a few venues but we always found ourselves coming back to the ides of have our wedding there.
After meeting with Patsy we were sold. We have three young kids so the fact that our venue was separate from the main hotel gave us peace of mind that they had room to play and be safe without ruining the other guests stay. Our Big Day arrived and the staff couldn't do enough to make us feel special. The day went as relaxed and smoothly as we dreamed.
The food was beautiful and everything went well. Highly recommend the Farnham Estate as a wedding venue and all our guests would say the same. We have a fabulous day and will be back soon.

We are both sincerely grateful to each and every member of staff in the hotel. We both had such an amazing day, it exceeded well beyond our expectations and we enjoyed every minute of it!
