We got married on New Year's Eve last year. We couldn't have asked for more from Inishannon House. We picked the venue for its location- close to the city but in beautiful secluded grounds looking over the River Bandon. Margaret & Shane were a pleasure to deal with at every step of the wedding planning. They were communicative and clearly experienced in how to run a smooth wedding. A special mention to Sarah also who was very helpful in coordinating the seating plan. The staff put us at ease on the day and ensured we were always looked after and felt special- from making sure we had a drink put in our hand on arrival to breakfast in bed the next morning. The venue was warm and inviting on a winter's day with open fires and lots of cosy seating areas for people to sit and chat. The food was excellent, everyone complimented on how good it was, and service was smooth and efficient. Thanks to Margaret and Shane and all the staff at Inishannon House Hotel for giving us such a memorable day!

My partner and I had a December wedding reception at IHH. We couldn't recommend Shane, Margaret and the team more. They made the day as stress free as possible. Great service and the food was fantastic as confirmed to us by many of the guests. They were very accommodating to dietary preferences (vegans and vegetarians were both catered for brilliantly). The rooms and grounds are absolutely lovely too and add a great backdrop to the atmosphere as well as the wedding photos. I really appreciated some of the extra efforts involved such as Shane offering to drop a couple of the guests staying in the town home at 4 in the morning. They made the day really special!

Margaret and Shane have a fabulous venue on the River Bandon. They specialise in excellent food. They often can be slow to contact but that's what you get from a small family business.

Gorgeous venue, very good food and amazing staff, it was just the place for us and love at the first sight! There have been few hiccups on a couple of things during organisation, but most of them were accommodated by Margaret and Shane at their best and everyone was very happy at the end of the day! Definitely a venue for nature and open space ceremonies, without renouncing to comfort for your guests.

We were absolutely thrilled with Innishannon as a venue in every way.
The location is just stunning, the grounds, beautiful old house and stunning bridal sweet. The Christmas decorations and lights only enhanced it and out photos were beautiful as a result.
Everyone was so impressed with the food and the service was excellent on the day. We thought our meal was even better than the tasting night!
The staff were were great; very friendly and accommodating.
We couldn't recommend Innishannon house hotel highly enough!

I found Margaret and the staff at innishannon house hotel very professional in the build up to organising our wedding. They took the weight off our shoulders and on the actual wedding day they out did themselves everyone of our guests were raving about the day and how perfect it was. That wasn't down to us I'm a firm believer everyone to their own trade and innishannon house pulled it over and above out of the bag.

There are there are so many (too many!) nice things to say about Innishannon House Hotel, I just don't know where to start?.
I am so happy that we chose to host our wedding reception here in August 2016. I look back on our day at Innishannon completely chuffed that we found this place!
Initially it was the unique charm of the house combined with the beautiful surroundings that attracted us here. Although, these fabulous qualities were almost surpassed by the amazing Innishannon team themselves. The entire staff at Innishannon House are really what makes this place so special. Hardworking, very professional and extremely friendly from the moment we met them all.
The lead up to our wedding was completely relaxed. We didn't need to worry about a thing!
Our families stayed at the house for the 2 nights over the wedding and really raved about how lovely it was. And to see them all sitting outside in the gardens with pints of Guinness and pots of tea, basking in the sunshine, the day before the wedding was just fab!
Our wedding day was seamless, the staff were fantastic, the food was amazing and they even managed to fix the weather for us too! With the swans swimming down the river while we were out drinking champers, we had to pinch ourselves to wake up! - it was real picture post card stuff!
While I wouldn't normally write reviews, or make recommendations, Innishannon House is such a fantastic venue that I want to shout it out to everybody!
Thank you to the Innishannon team again and again.

We got married in Innishannon house on 22nd of July 2016 and from beginning to end we couldn't have wished for more. After getting engaged in December 2014 we began the search to find the perfect venue. Although many venues were impressive,as soon as we parked the car in Innishannon house hotel and walked towards the hotel we knew it was the venue for us. The incredible setting right on the river Bandon creates the perfect relaxed garden feel while having all the beauty one could wish for on their wedding day.
From the moment we met Margaret we were put completely at ease. As we are pretty relaxed it meant so much to chat to Margaret and realise to the staff of Innishannon house nothing was a problem. No matter what we suggested to Margaret , she assured us all was possible. From that day forward correspondence with Innishannon house was second to none. Everything was organised hassle free and without any stress.
The day before the wedding we went to the house to decorate the room etc. Although the heavens opened the venue still looked out of this world and we couldn't wait to have our reception there. Thankfully the sun did make an appearance on the day of the wedding and following a lovely ceremony in Ovens church we made our way to the beautiful Innishannon house. We'll never forget the feeling we got as we drove through the gates to see our guests in the magnificent gardens sipping champagne in the sunshine. Following the drinks reception we had the most divine meal. The wine was flowing and everybody was thoroughly enjoying themselves. With the dining room doors open people people were free to mingle inside and out and the garden became an extension to the dining room which was fabulous.
As the band began, the dance floor filled and we danced the night away. Throughout the night the staff of Innishannon house looked after us and our guests beyond belief. Each and every one of our guests had nothing but compliments for the venue, the meal and the service.
We had the best fun on our wedding day. We never smiled so much and this is hugely thanks to the amazing service and laid back feel of Innishannon house. We will be forever grateful for all they did for us and would recommend it as a wedding venue to anyone.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience of Innishannon House Hotel on our wedding day, New Years Eve 2013.
Margaret and Shane, the managers of the hotel were a pleasure to deal with, going out of their way to accommodate every wedding whim we had!
The staff in Innishannon are so friendly, welcoming and accommodating it feels like you are home from home as the setting is so intimate. Customer service here is second to none and the staff went out of their way to be really helpful to all of our guests even finding a spare iphone charger for a guest who's battery had run out over the night. They were extremely thoughtful and had kept flower arrangements from an event in the hotel the day before that no one wanted to add to the decor of the room. We were having a black tie wedding and on the day I noticed that all of the bar staff were all wearing bowties (which was really cute and shows that they paid huge attention to even the little details). Apparently the guys behind the bar were very charming and entertaining and were creating new cocktails and shots for some of our guests, which was very much appreciated.
Innishannon has been recommended by Taste of Ireland with Paolo Tullio for a number of years and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Since the wedding everyone we have met has been commenting on how amazing the food was and a lot of our friends and family are real foodies so that's a real compliment. As I'm vegetarian I find that at a lot of weddings the vegetarian option is poor and is a last minute thought but Innishannon's Head Chef's wife is a vegetarian and apparently he loves creating vegetarian dishes. My starter and main course were fabulous and I've never had anything like them as vegetarian options before. Our guests commented that the fillet steak was tender and cooked with real care. They even came around through the main course to see if anyone wanted extra pieces of meat so even those who chose fish were able to sample the meat as well - another lovely touch.
Innishannon have added a huge new bar to the back of the hotel and we had our drinks reception in here. We asked for two hot alcoholic drinks for our guests as our wedding was New Years Eve. Innishannon suggested homemade mulled wine as well as the most delicious apple hot whiskey which was the star attraction of the drinks reception - people are still asking us if we can get the recipe.
Overall I would highly recommend Innishannon House Hotel for a wedding. The location, old world charm of the house, the excellent staff and beautiful food and drinks made our day so special.
